He had lost none of his seriousness, nor moved at all while speaking. This was a deadly game.

"Okay." luxran said holding his eyes open.

Sigilos ignored the new comer for the moment, his attention on the safety of the group. He stood up and walked over to Luxran, peering into his eyes and looking at the images on his retina. He stood for a moment, then backed away.

*Fine, sit down and eat. You can stay, for now, but if I ever suspect you have betrayed us again, I'll kill you.*

The threat was not an idle one, but it was spoken calmly, as if he had been commenting on the stars above.

*As to our camp, if you look over here you can see our fire and our camp. Please, join us at our meal. I've put some venison from my pack on to cook, it should be done in a moment.*

Shaydra's jaws quivered, almost laughing insanely with the absurdity of it all, but held it back. She said, "I'm not eating, I'm quite full. I'm going to try something."
She retreated to the edge of camp, near the grass line and far enough from the others so they couldn't see or hear her, and reached into her bag. She brought out the dirty gray rat she had been possesing about twelve hours ago. It was wriggling furiously, trying to bite the paw that held it; its teeth slid off Shaydra's claw.
"I thought I felt something," she said, dropping the rat onto the ground. "What happened to you when I possesed you, hmm?" The rat did not scamper away, just looking at Shaydra curiously with big, black eyes.
Shaydra muttered a quick spell and waved a paw over the rodent. She paused, sensing something. "It seems you have some of my soul, and I have some of yours. Maybe I could do something about it, after this whole mess is over." She looked at it curiosly.

Lex, who was still in her tiger form, went off into the woods hunting by herself. Her caught a few rabbits and scarfed them down quickly. She loped back to camp lazily and laid down next to the fire, letting it warm her fur. She was spending more and more time as a tiger, not as a human, and the ways of a tiger fit her better.

Neoxis and Abbas went to the shapeshifter. "this is going to be hard, they have another one in their group and we don't know what his powers if any, are. Luxran has escaped and on top of all that, Sigilos has put up a ward around his camp. The only thing we can do is wait."
Abbas suddenly thought of an idea. "how about we disguise ourselves well, cover our scents, and travel with their group. that way, we can know exactly when the right time is."
"ok then" Neoxis said. He then muttered some things, made some hand signs, and slammed his palms onto the ground. When he did that smoke appeared around Neoxis and Abbas. The smoke got rid of their scents and they were disguised as random humans. Neoxis went to the weapons vault and got some swords. "these are to ensure that we don't look like helpless little humans"
"good" the shapeshifter said. "you leave in the morning"

Sigilos looked up from handing out the food.

*I'm not sure, maybe he went inside the tent for a nap. Yowch! Hey, watch the fingers!*

He pulled his hand back, and concentrated on the task at hand. It was like feeding a pack of rabid dogs.
