"I don't think this is frank. It's ID number is 0056745; this is Alphy, the new grunny that I've been exempting from experiments because he doesn't have the recessive hostility trait. In fact, his emotions seem quite human," Kuruu said looking over to the small grunny who was whimpering. "He seems very scared of you, too...He's about to start crying." Kuruu started to pet the grunny and gave it a bottle of milk.

"Hi, fred, this is Alphy," Kuruu replied, ushering the small, whipmering grunny towards fred. "Now, you two can get acquainted while I talk to Backdrop." Kuruu watched as Alphy started whimpering more, and then startd to cry. He scooped up the little grunny and apoligized. "Sorrry," Kuruu said, "He's very skiddish."

"Oh, so i'll pass then," Kuruu replied, relieved. Alphy started crying more and hid in Kuruu's labcoat. "He's a newborn from the Terra levels," Kuruu said, "I guess he saw some strange things up there. Anyway, MK told me to stop hand feeding him, but I'm going to keep it up. Alphy's not old enough to eat on his own yet."

"I had decided to pick a baby grunny, a year after Gino told us that. I found him injured in the Terra level Alpha, subject to one of Menace's experiments, and told MK that he was the one I wanted. MK agreed, and now he follows me wherever I go!" Kuruu said, pulling Alphy out of his coat. "Watch," he said, as he placed Alphy in a room and locked the door. A few seconds passed, and then a faint whimpering turned into a louder whimpering, which turned into a wail. Kuruu opened the door and picked up Alphy, hugging him tightly. The poor little grunny was still crying, so Kuruu started to sing a lullaby to him.

"You mean Alphy? Oh, no, that's not possible. I have him in my coat twenty four seven, even when I sleep, he sits on my head," Kuruu replied, "Unless you mean fred. I guess I should give Alphy the chip just in case. Unless...you did an experiment on him when he was freshly newborn?"

Alphy was really sobbing by now. He whimpered, running off of Kuruu's arm and behind the computer. Kuruu walked over, picked him up, and started feeding him milk. Alphy's whimpering slowed down for a minute. "Good," Kuruu finally said, "He's only a week old."

"I don't know about him stopping the crying. He seems to have very aprehensive emotions, and he cries all of the time, even at night. Also, he saw some pretty nasty things in the terra levels, as did I. I was called there for a summons with MK, and I found him, not in a corridor, but on a lab table next to a cage with a mutated bird," Kuruu replied, "Maybe he'll stop at 2, but definitely not 1."
