Loud tinkering had been heard from around the temple for weeks now. What ever The Count was doing it must have been big. What's more is that large amounts of dirt were being taken out, and in its place long cables and cords. What wonders was The Count having built? Once he was finished, no doubt someone would be getting a tour. Baptistain had told Val that The Count wouldn't be changing the building, though juding by all the contstruction, one would have to wonder if that statement was still viable. If this "Sea of Stars" didn't begin within the month, then The Count might throw a little party of his own, likely inviting Griffin, his sister Bell, their mother Kaiori and anyone else he felt he should extend an invitation too. There could be many... or few.

It had been months since The Count first thought of throwing a party; the finishing touches on the temple were almost done, and things looked spectacular. It was about time The Count's presence was made public in the region afterall. This party would be a 'getting to know you' type event, where the people would finally get to meet him. Now this wasn't something narsassistic or ego tripping at all, just simple 'hello's. "Baptistain, Bertuccio." The Count was calling for his aids, they had a task set for them. "I would like you two, to deliver these." The Count would place his hand over a stack of letters. They weren't marked or addressed to anyone in particular, but they appeared to be invitations. The Count had hand written each one individually, not a small task at all. There appeared to be two stacks, so The Count was perhaps expecting a moderate turn out. Even if only one person were to show up, they would be treated to a wonderful time no doubt, for The Count was free from the rule of any government, and he mingled freely with people of all classes. So no matter who you were, you would always be treated fairly. "Yes sir, at once.", "We will return by the evening sir.", "Very well, be off with you then.". With that both aids would head out and begin delivery of the unmarked invitations, their simple messages held within.

With the small event set to take place in eight days, The Count and his cohorts would need to start dressing the temple up now. They would go out and gather what materials they needed over the coming days. This was certain to be a crowd pleaser, so hopefully some of those in the region would lighten up and enjoy this little random jont, appart from their normal lives. The Count would retreat to his room for the time being, he would be sampling some wine he purchased in Twice Royal earlir on in the month.

All seemed to be going according to plan, the food, drink, flowers, music, servers; it was all falling into place. This was a good way to get to know those in the region, see what they were like and see whom The Count might like to contact and socialize with later. It was only a matter of days now, only a matter of days. The Count would oversee and direct the placement of various objects, settings, and so forth.

With only a day left before the party, The Count had some workers checking out the sound equipment. There was going to be a small live musical group preforming, so he wanted to make sure all of the temple could hear them at the time of celebration. When the appointed time arrived, Bertuccio would introduce each attending guest at the door, while Baptistain was given the task of placing weapons aside until the end of the small event. There was no reason for guests to attack eachother here, it wasn't anything more than an introduction from The Count to everyone else. If they had differences, they could either settle them afterwards, or perhaps a small match could be set up as a form of live entertainment. Such things did happen here under Galette's reign afterall, though for trainning pourposes however. Only those with invitation in hand would be allowed entry. There were several delivered so hopefully it would not be any problem. "Make sure everything runs smoothly. This is a small debut afterall."
(( I will make one post before the party begins tomorrow. After that everyone may show up one after another, and Bertuccio will announce your entrance. ))

The finishing touches were going on now; flowers, candles, vases and other embellishments. The temple would be ready within the hour for guests, if any were going to appear. Food and drink were ample and ready to be served, the small musical group was warming up, and the candles were being lit. A quick once over of the floor with a broom and it seemed like all was set. Baptistan and Bertuccio would open the huge doors The Count had workers put in, they were beautifly detailed. A small room was set aside for weapons checking; air conditioning and speakers were turned on, the buffet style tables had food brought out to them, and ice sculptures placed in the centers. It would be a spectacular night; Bertuccio would stand at the door, ready to announce all attendies with invitations in hand, Baptistan would stand a few feet behind ready to place weapons into a small room until later. Haydée was getting changed into her party wear, she would appear beside The Count when he finally appeared and introduced himself to those who arrived. "Now we wait and see."
((You guys can arrive when ever now.))

They couldn't be sure how long had passed since the party officially started but the trio of Mastema, Nana, and a rather less than hopeful Thanatos approached the new entrance to the refurbished temple, each unknowing of who exactly the Count was but Thanatos being easily the most pessimistic about him being anyone any better than the other self proclaimed leaders of the region. Thanatos had chosen a rather more outstanding and less flattering attire for this meeting. He wore black dress pants and matching shoes. His shirt was a different story, being a very contrasting and bright red, not a color he usually wore. The red itself changed in darkness depending on the light shining on it.
Thanatos had just spent the time on the way to the temple explaining to Mastema, and Nana, about the nature of the intruder who was now recovering in the citadel. Than took up behind the other two, as Mastema pulled out the invitation as they approached the door.

Bertuccio would meet the trio at the door as they arrived and began up the steps. "Welcome. I see you have our invitation. If you have any weapons on your person, please leave them with Baptistain here." Bertuccio would draw an arm back to introduce Baptistain, who would respond in kind. "Evening." Bertuccio would then speak again."May I have your names and where you are from, for the announcing?"

Mastema would turn his eyes to Bertuccio when addressed, handing over the invitation. Mastema wasn't in the mood to make enemy of the unknown, so he'd brought no weapons other than the head on his shoulders. If Nana brought her dagger, he was sure she'd hand it over. Thanatos was a story he'd leave to the boy himself. "There are no weapons on my person; so that should be no problem. My lady here is my wife, Nana, and my son Thanatos. I myself am Mastema, the current leader of the citadel." It was a simple enough introduction.
"I'm not taking off my arm," Thanatos said rather clearly. Bringing up his gloved left arm, it would be easy to here the metallic sound of his mechanical left arm.

*Nana had left her dagger behind at home, hidden inside of the piano where the children wouldn't look for it. It was better not to leave sharp weapons about unattended*
I'm also unarmed.
*Nana would look back to Thanatos when he spoke. So his arm was a weapon? Hopefully it could be-- deactivated then*

Bertuccio would receive the invitation from Mastema's hand warmly. "Hmm? Your arm?" Bertuccio would eye over Thanatos for a moment before replying. "As it is part of your person you are not required to remove your appendage, however if you do have weapons within it, please leave them with Baptistain or deactivate them while on the premises." A mechanical device would ensure any weapons were deactivated within the building anyhow, but that wasn't something to be revealed publically. With that Bertuccio would turn and announce the trio's arrival to the inside. "Introducing-- Lord Mastema, his wife the Lady Nana, and son Lord Thanatos hailing from The Citadel." Once the trio were inside they could go where they liked, though if they proceeded down the main hall they would enter the main festivities area with music and food, and several servers ready at any time to get what ever the three required. The Count for the moment was nowhere to be seen, but this was typical of such parties. Wait until the guests are enjoying themselves and then appear.

Who the hell is he talking to..... Thanatos questioned himself, pretty sure that no one else was here yet. Still, he would continue walking as Mastema and Nana moved forward. Mastema didn't feel it wise to wander where they shouldn't, so he just kept going straight since that was the natural inclination. Mastema observed the items that adorned the way through the hall.
"I suppose this place is a little bigger than it looked from the outside. I suppose the festivities will be held near the center of this compound." Mastema commented.
"It'll be in the same place where Galette's throne used to be if I'm right. It was certainly big enough to host this kind of party." Thanatos responded quickly. Memories of this place were still fresh in his mind. "It'll be where Galette watched his students fight and kill eachother, and the ones that survived he would train so they could fight again the next time." He made a small tsk sound. "I'll bet half of them weren't any bigger than Micha....."

*Thanatos' description of this place made it seem a little scary. Who was Galette though? The former 'owner'? What happend to him then? Was he really this Count fellow? Then was it wise to be there? Nana's hands would lightly squeez Mastema's arm at the thought of young children having to fight to the death in this place, it made her uneasy. Anyone having to fight to the death for what ever reason didn't seem right*

Thanatos was right, the festivities would be heald in the main room above the fighting area. The large open space below could be seen from four sides, sloping down fifty feet to the bottom. That space seemed to be decorated too, though empty. From above it looked more like a dance floor than a battle arena. Tables with drink a food awaited the three once they entered the main hall. Violins and Chellos played in the back, as well as Clarinet, and Harp. The music gave off a warm feeling meant to invite guests in and make them feel comfortable.

"You know the way still?" Mastema enquired to Thanatos.
"I can remember it easily since I spent time in captivity here. We'll find the place straight ahead..... it's the very same place where I came so close to killing Gabriel." It almost sounded as if Thanatos regretted not having followed through with that event. "I'll give this count one thing... he's done a good job of covering up the smell of blood and dead bodies that filled this place when Dom slew everyone here...." It wasn't much of a compliment, as the trio entered the main ball area.
