With the first crunch of a chip beneath his shoe, Nori looked down to see that a good majority of the ballroom floor had chips strewn across it. He could've walked around them, but he subconciously wanted to jump around them instead. Stretching out his arms a little for balance, he half tip-toed, and half-jumped over the scattered chips toward Jaydn. It was a mess he would clean up later.
"Hi Jaydn." he said, planting his feet in front of him. "I was wondering why this door was open...and now I'm wondering even more why there is such a mess in here, but I can guess the culprit." He grinned meekly, seeing the bag rested in Jaydn's hand. Although Nori still didn't know Jaydn very well, he had the opinion that this guy was an egoist, but he was going to give him the benefit of the doubt and try to accept him in the mafia houshold.

Jaydn gave a half-smile, watching as Nori seemed to dance his way around the room. It was amusing. When Nori accused him of creating a mess however, the smile faded and Jaydn looked at Nori through haughty eyes. "That would actually be the handiwork of your so-called leader. I'm not messy enough to waste so much of my own food on the floor." Though Jaydn's words seemed like he was insulting Kyrin, he actually held no malice for his cousin, it was simply how he spoke.

Dropping his propped up leg from the arm of the chair, Jaydn sat up in his armchair, looking at Nori inquisitively. "So why do you do it?" He wondered what it was that would bring a person to dress up as the opposite gender. Hope it's not contagious.

Nori was about to inquire as to why Kyrin was throwing chips across the room, but it became very obvious that it was probably something Jaydn had said. Her temper was short-fused so she was probably just retaliating somehow.
The second question was rather vague, but Nori knew what he was talking about right away. " Hm? You mean the dresses I occasioanlly wear?" He put his hands in his back pocket and leaned back. There were a variety of reason's why. There was no real pinpoint answer. maybe if the question was more specific... but a generic question will get a generic answer. " Because I like to." Nori got the vibes that Jaydn was feeling distaste for his lifestyle, but he was used to that. And he refused to get in an arguement, so he tried to change the subject a little out of discomfort.
"Why do you pick on Ky so much?"

Jaydn was a little thrown back by how bold Nori was. He had half-expected the boy to show at least a little embarrassment about his lifestyle. Seemingly meek, but not. Oddly enough, Jaydn felt that he liked Nori more than he originally thought he would. Jaydn had assumed that Nori would be an easily embarassed outcast, interested in everything that was odd because it was odd. And truth be told, Jaydn was a little afraid that Nori might try to hit on him.

When Nori attempted to change the topic, Jaydn gave a smirk. The question game. This could be interesting. He shrugged, "I don't consider it picking on her since she has the ability to fight back." Then reverting back to the topic of Nori's lifestyle, Jaydn asked bluntly, "So would you rather people address you in the feminine sense? 'She', 'her', and whatnot?"

Nori could tell that Jaydn was going back to his first subject on purpose. What is he doing? Is it just his nature to be curious, like me? Or is he pestering me?
" You can call me whatever you'd like, although I'm not always guranteed to respond to it." He replied. "But thank you for being considerate enough to ask." Nori's voice wasn't really that thankful, but he always did his best to keep a polite ettiquette. The subject of his crossdressing was one that he would try and convince himself that it was nothing to be ashamed of, so he would speak with confidence. Although it was hard to keep composure all the time if he didn't fully accept himself.
Changing the subject now would be too obvious, so he pretended to be fascinated with his watch instead.

Watching Nori with his head tilted to one side, almost as if looking at a foreign creature, Jaydn caught Nori's discomfort as he played with his watch. Odd. Thought he was alright with being who he was. Though he seemed like he was adding fuel to a fire, Jaydn was just saying what was on his mind, "Thought you were better than that, than being afraid. Guess I was wrong." It made him a little sad, if that was the case. He was hoping to find someone who wasn't living life in fear of other people and their opinions, someone who wouldn't be afraid to be themselves around Jaydn.

" Hm? Afraid? Afraid of what?" Nori asked softly, looking back up at him. He honestly wasn't sure what Jaydn was implying, but he sounded disappointed. He thought Jaydn was a curious fellow. As if he had a lot on his mind, but wasn't fully revealing what it was.

As he ran his hand through her hair, Kyrin was comforted, her sobs slowed slightly as she muttered something about not being sleepy. But as he sat there with her, her tears started to subside as a wave of tiredness swept over her. She didn't feel like moving, though, as she leaned closer against him. He was soft.

Craig, who had been waiting expectantly for Lily's answer, grew bored of the situation when he'd finished the coffee he'd been given. Excusing himself, Craig wandered off to the ballroom. Kyrin had been gone for a long time and it was actually beginning to worry him. I wonder if she's mad at me... He thought as he made his way to the open ballroom doors. He could hear voices, but neither were Kyrin. Entering the ballroom, he saw Nori and Jaydn, and chips strewn across the floor. One look at Jaydn said that the man wasn't the cause of it, and Craig knew that it certainly wasn't Nori. Walking over to Ky's throne and sitting himself in it, Craig nodded a hello to Nori, before turning to Jaydn with a smile, "Where did Kyrin run off to?"

As Draven strode back to the door, he noticed Craig walk by it made Draven’s spine quiver with a mix of hatred and guilt. He silently followed Craig entering the ballroom a few moments after him. He walked in giving a slight nod to both Nori and the just entered Craig. If he noticed Jaydn, Draven didn’t bother to greet the man. The man strode up near the throne and looked at Craig for a moment before finally saying, “we have to talk about something”, although Draven’s voice and face were calm, the words were said in a way that berated the guilt he felt inside.

Sensing her weariness, and not being quite strong enough to lift her to take her to the bed himself, he let her rest against the wall, and brought the pillows and blankets from her bed to her, doing his best to make her comfortable where she sat. He felt bad, moving around, but he wanted her to be able to rest, so he shut the door away from the world, thinking about locking it, but deciding to do so when he left. Finally done creating the makeshift bed, and locking Kyrin away so she could rest (still no ulterior motivation) he sat behind her, his arms around her shoulders, running one hand through her hair and murmuring meaningless, soothing words against her ear. He hoped, for her sake, that she would finally be allowed to rest comfortably, no interruptions.

Ian becoming increasing bored of laying on the couch, decided to go back to wandering. Walking around with the bagel still in his mouth, he came across a large nicely decorated ballroom. Ian walked right through the doors and found himself to be not the only person in the huge room. Nori, Craig, some man with Cheetos, and a really really big tall man who scared the blah out of Ian. "T-t-too TALL!" Ian squeaked. The tall man and Craig looked very serious which made Ian secretly curious of what Craig and the man were talking about.

Jaydn met eyes with Nori, answering simply, "Yourself." He really couldnt figure out any other way to put it. Even if Nori understood it, it wasn't something he could change.

When Craig entered and sat down, Jaydn gave a faint smile. He was glad the older man wanted to hang out with him. He wasn't so glad, however, that the inconsiderate idiot from before didnt refrain from being rude once again, coming in with a falsely placed air of command and interrupting Jaydn and Craig's rare moment of conversation. It also ticked Jaydn off slightly that the man acted as if Jaydn was invisible.

Still annoyed with Draven for making Kyrin cry earlier, Jaydn glared at him, saying coldly, "Excuse you, but we're having a conversation here."

Kyrin shifted slightly as he moved her, but as he stroked her hair and whispered into her ear, Kyrin felt herself fall into sleep. Slowly at first, but then it was like she had dropped off a cliff. She was out. Breathing evenly, she didn't dream, she was too exhausted. Her body leaned against James', she was comforted by his touch. The room smelled lightly of a berry scent, as Kyrin moved under her blankets. Osiris’ eyes narrowed at James, he was slightly thrown off by the man and how comforted Kyrin seemed. Osiris places his head back in Kyrin’s lap, and searched out her hand until it rest on the back of his neck.

Craig looked up as both Ian and Draven entered the ballroom. He was somewhat indifferent to the large man, with his acid green eyes, but didn’t show it in his face. Craig was normally very passive, even with people he didn’t like. He saw Ian arrive as well, but didn’t really acknowledge him from his spot on the throne. It was interesting to him, how quickly the large room seemed to be filling up; it had been a while since he had seen that many people in the ballroom had once. Kyrin should get some people in her again, she always has fun ‘playing court’. When Jaydn didn't answer him, Craig was a little shocked, he was sure that the man would be ready with the answer, Craig knew that Jaydn somewhat looked up to him, he just didn‘t know how much. Glancing up at Draven, from Kyrin's throne, Craig recognized him as the problem. Craig was about to reply: 'what do we need to talk about?', but Jaydn cut him off before he could. It seemed that Jaydn held no respect for the big man, Craig found it childish that Jaydn was showing this distaste. Craig leaned back, getting more comfortable, and waited to see what would unfold, he was interested in the spat the two ‘temperamental’ men could get themselves into.

Myself? Although it sounded a little profound, Nori could see Jaydn's point. How very insightful of him. Maybe Jaydn wasn't so bad after all. He would have to fold this information over in his mind and review it later, due to the distraction of people coming into the ballroom.

Turning around to see all of the people who had now walked in, Nori put his hands behind his back and smiled back towards them. They didn't seem to have come to talk to him, so he would observe for now.

Draven was quite for a moment, mulling over his next words, to Craig of course. He hated the ‘childish’ Jaydn and refused to answer him. So once again, Draven ignored Jaydn like he wasn’t even there and went on to speak with Craig, “I said something, answer me”, Draven said evenly, his face a mask of emotionless, nothing. His face was full of nothing and to some it might even be unnerving. Certainly he must be keeping something deep within him, some dark secret that might suddenly break free if he was to smile or laugh.
