Oh sh ---

Damrius was barely able to say anything before he was slammed into the rising pillar, and before that even happened, he felt the explosion, and was encompassed by it. Damn his luck...

After it hit Damrius, he came crashing down onto the ground, limp as a rag doll. Out of it too.

[MAX] Sutiiven watched as his friend recieved what could best be described as "ownage" by the armored man. He sighed. Dame had fought well, but victory was just not ment to be, it seemed. No matter, it was the swordsman's turn to take a stand.

<... Okay...>

The dragon complied, letting the fighter close enough to the ground so as he could jump off and face the warrior in armor before returning to its circular pattern above. He stood silently in front of where Dame was, eyes closed, in deep concentration, but fully aware of his suroundings.

"So... looks like it's my turn." he said.

He opened his eyes.

"What drives me to fight? Well, I've never thought about it really. It one of those things you never get the chance to think about until you're asked about it, and then it takes forever to figure out the right answer. But while I was up there, circling, I thought about it. Sure, I fight for money, fame, power, and glory. Any young fighter who doesn't admit that they fight for at least one of those is lying. Maybe it's a little bit material, but that's why we train so hard to achieve a higher state of being beyond such things... But I digress. You want to know why I fight..." He paused took a deep breath, closing his eyes again.

"I fight to better myself. I fight to make my master proud. I fight for my friends and family. I fight I fight those who cannot fight for themselves. I fight because I enjoy it, because it's what I want to do. I fight because I am human, a child of light, a child of darkness, a child of chaos. I fight for freedom. I fight for life itself." He paused, then opened his eyes once more, and smiled.

"I fight... because it's my destiny. I'm the chosen one."

He smiled, and shifted into an unarmed combat stance, awaiting the man's next move. He was full health, full charge, full spirit - he was ready to take whatever the man threw his way.

[40] The armored man turned and sped towards the fully powered Sutiiven. Perhaps this warrior would prove to be more of a challenge for the man than his previous opponent... His body pulsed with energy and his sword glowed furiously as he charged towards Sutiiven.

Then show me your strength so called "Chosen One" and we shall see if you're deserving of that Title!!

[MAX] Sutiiven smirked, and drew his swords rapidly, enacting the enchantment on the blades a short moment after they were free of their sheathes.

As the armored man approached, he smirked, then threw one of his weapons into the air.

Quote:
Flash Bomb: Sutii hurls a small orb of energy from his palm, causing an explosion of light, which can be used to momentarily blind or stun an opponent. (Charge: 1 Turn) (Spiritual Ability)

He quickly swung his open hand down, which caused a massive flash capable of disorienting any within range. In the mean time, he had used one of his Overdrive Abilities to get him some distance quickly in an upward direction, where he had launched towards the airborne weapon caught it in its empty hand.

Quote:
Extreme Speed: Sutiiven launches himself forward in a high-speed dash. Overdrive must be active to use. (Spiritual Ability)

When the light subsided Sutii would not be found at the location where he stood previously, but in the air, coming down right on top of his hopefully stunned opponent, right blade first with the left one open ready defensive manuvers.

[46] With a flash, the battlefield went dark and Sutiiven sped across the ground and into the air. However, the armored warrior wasn't down and out yet. He might have been temporarily blinded, but his other senses were still working JUST fine. As Sutii jumped into the air and over him, he could hear and feel there Sutii left the ground, and could sense where he was going. The armored man quickly jumped to the side, to avoid the falling Sutii as his ears caught the minute flapping of his uniform as he moved through the air.

Once he was out of range, a mighty pillar of stone would shoot upwards from the ground, aiming to launch Sutiiven into the cliffs on the upper shore of the battle zone...

[MAX] It was a good thing that Sutii had left that second blade open for defensive manuvers, since that, combined with the attacking weapon, and the power of the energy coming off of them due to their enchantment, easily rendered the pillar in half.

Quote:
Sonic Slash: Sutiiven launches a shockwave with a swing of his weapons. (Charge: 3 Turns) (Spiritual Ability)

As soon as he landed, he wrenched up from the crouched position of foot to ground impact and swung his right hand blade quickly, launching a rapid shockwave of energy from his sword through the air directly at the man a distance away.

[52] The pillar shattered, but the armored man was one step ahead of Sutiiven as the pieces of rock shot out from the force.

Aerial Barrage!!

The pieces of shattered rock shot off, spun around, and then quickly sped towards Sutiiven as he landed on the ground. The rocks would come from all angles moments after Sutiiven had landed once more, and attempt to batter him with the shards made by his own attack. His shockwave was unleashed and rocketed forward, but the man was not without a defense of his own.

This man was so in tune with his earth powers, he rarely had to use energy to shape it as he pleased. However in bigger circumstances, only energy would do for manipulation on a greater scale. Sutiiven's shockwave would fire towards the man as his hearing sensed the whooshing and rushing of the attack directed at him. He quickly erected a wall of rock to absorb most of the shockwave and ducked off to the side as his vision began to return. His sight would be no use to him until it returned fully, so for the time being, he kept his eyes closed. The shockwave would hit the rock wall and blast it into many pieces, pieces which would then be sent hurling towards Sutiiven's position.

A darker golden energy was now spiraling around the man as a red aura of energy now swirled along with it, showing the sheer power of the energy the man held within him as bits of sand were blown away by the heat and earth auras surrounding him. The sword in his hand glowed with a spectacular golden aura of its own as he stared down Sutiiven, a massive rune appearing on the ground beneath his feet, but this was different from any rune he would have ever seen before. While it was still a rune, the outer edge was surrounded by a massive ring with three more circles, forming a triangle whose edges rubbed against the center summoning symbol and spun around it as golden and red light shot upwards into the air, parting the clouds to allow light to shine brightly over the battlefield. Whatever the armored man was planning, it was going to be big as more additions to the rune began to slowly glow into place...

[9] Sutiiven smirked as he tried to get him with the incoming barrage of stone. Assuming they had no homing capabilities, it was of little concern. Especially due to the fact that he had a little ability for emergencies like this.

Quote:
Uncanny Dodge: Sutiiven is a lithe young individual that is self-trained in many acrobatic maneuvers which gives him an edge when it comes to dodging. When luck is on his side, he can perform a dodge that would otherwise be considered impossible. This ability can only trigger after a certain period of time and only during certain situations. The more this ability is used during a battle, the less effective it is. This ability’s effectiveness returns to full after the battle.

Quote:
Extreme Speed: Sutiiven launches himself forward in a high-speed dash. Overdrive must be active to use. (Spiritual Ability)

With a grunt, he used his speed boosting ability to push him off towards a section of sligntly smaller stones, and used his blades to cut any larger ones into pieces. He gained minor scratches from the rocks, but nothing that would be of critical damage. Using his dexterity to twist and evade anything undefeatable by normal means, he managed to remove himself from the barrage, and land facing his opponent. He didnt like the look of the massive rune growing beneath the armored man, but he was full charge again, and hoping that whatever he had could help him in this oncoming attack.

[58] The rune suddenly grew larger and more massive, another set of concentric rings forming outside the already massive circle and triangle as another triangle took up a place around the whole thing at a different angle. The light suddenly grew brighter and brighter as a massive ball of gold and red energy began to form in the center of the circle as the rune started to spin, faster and faster. The energy practically pouring off of the ball as it grew. But what happened next would be beyond anything either Dame or Sutiiven would have ever seen before.

As the energy rose, the ball suddenly shot into the sky, energy trailing off of it as it spun into the sky, taking the armored man with it!! Upon reaching the clouds, the ball suddenly stopped and a massive copy of the original rune appeared on the sky, spinning lazily before the ball of light glowed bright white and a vortex of energy quickly formed around it, streamers of power forming into the center until a mighty voice rang out across the battlefield as the sky surged with power.

Sword of Prometheus!!

As the words echoed, the energy shot forward as a massive energy form of an armored warrior, falling from the sky with a sword of blazing gold and red energies shot towards the position of Damrius and Sutiiven. Flames trailed from the back of the massive warrior as it fell, energy sparked away as the intense power released caused the clouds themselves to ripple from the sheer magnitude of fore that had just been unleashed. The armored titan would close in at rapid speed as it slammed its glowing weapon into the ground, a titanic explosion being created that would carve a massive crater into the ground between the sea and the shore, mirroring a crater formed by another thunderous blast of energy several months back...

[08] As the dust and debris settled, the armored warrior would be seen on the rim of the crater, watching as it filled with sea water, causing it to vanish from sight as if it had never existed in the first place. The power from the explosion was so immense, totaling nearly 5000 damage, easily capable of defeating Ryugi two times over, and then some. If the young warrior was still somehow able to battle after the blast, the armored man would have a few words left to say...

[MAX] Sutiiven grimmaced as the massively powerful attack came his way. He focused his energy in one last ditch attack - perhaps all in vain, but he would go down fighting.

Quote:
Eclipse - Chaos Requiem: Sutiiven unleashes a great torrent of energy, bombarding his opponent and inflicting massive damage. Overdrive must be active to use. (Charge: 20 Turns) (Spiritual Ability) (3 Turn Recovery)

Sutiiven dropped his blades to his side as the energy coursed through him, charging it to be unleashed in one attack. As the oncoming blast came closer, he grimmaced as he pulled more and more power from his store into the move. Finally, with one quick flourish of his arms (going up from his side, then coming down into a cross, then finallly shooting out to the sides) he let out a single cry:

"CHAOS REQUIEM!!!"

And from him launched a powerful torrent of energy that hurled itself directly at its target - the energy form which assumably held the armored warrior. The torrent flew at the powerful oncoming mass, causing its usual explosions of energy as the multiple blasts of it hit, but to no avail - a 5000 damage attack could not be detered by one of only 2000. However, the brave lad kept the attack going straight until it hit him.

The explosion was indeed massive, encompasing the fighter and the dragon and god knew what else. The blast hurled at least the two of them high up into the air.

When the dust had cleared, the two of them could not be seen anywhere. Suddenly, a single thud emminated from near the warrior - the left hand blade of Sutiiven. A second later, the right hand blade followed suit, this time slightly closer. Then came the sound of a dragon slamming into earth even closer to the man's location.

And if the man wasnt startled by any of those, he could look up to find Sutiiven, trying with all his might to fall right on top of him, burnt, bruised, and grimacing all the way. Not screaming, surprisingly enough, either because he couldnt or he didnt want to give away his position. What he intended to do was questionable, but one had to credit him for the spirit he had going for this after being utterly defeated otherwise.

However, the lad would not see the results of his attempt, as he blacked out in mid fall, seeing only the man and the ground before unconciousness.

Somewhere in the high seas...

A deep sea fishing boat sailed into a bank of thick fog. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but then sonar began picking up the signs of another ship up ahead. The fog was too thick, so the fishermen wouldn't see it until they were at least 10 feet away from it. It was a cruise ship, likely a derelict from the poor condition it appeared to be in, and that there were no lights on anywhere.

"Ahoy!" called one of the fishermen, but there was no answer. After several more attempts at trying to hail anyone on the cruise ship, they assumed the ship was a derelict.

"Hey Cap'n, how much you think we could get for salvaging her, eh?"

"We're fishermen, Smee, not salvagers. Leave the trash collecting to the salvagers. I'll radio her in to get a crew out here."

There was nothing but static over the radio though. None of the frequencies worked, even the emergency one. "What the hell?"

"Capta--!" he heard Smee scream out before hearing a splash.

"Damnit. How many times to I gotta tell you..." the captain started as he walked out of the wheelroom to throw Smee a lifeline, but didn't see him in the water. Now that he thought about it, it was eearily quiet. Where was the rest of the crew?

Thump.

The captain turned around at the sound of something falling onto the deck. It was a body! Not any of his crew that he recognized. Did it come from the cruiseship? The captain, against better judgement, crept over to the body to see if the person was still alive. It didn't look to be breathing...

The captain nudged the body with his boot, then knelt down to get a look at the person's face. He pulled the head back to see the face of a twisted corpse, its last expression that of frozen horror before probably dying. The captain's heart nearly jumped out of his chest when the dead eyes suddenly opened.

"Mother of Christ!" he cursed, letting go of the corpse's head and shuffling back across the deck on his hands and feet, crossing himself over and over.

The corpse rose up to its hands and knees, looking at him and groaning.

"Smee! Chris! Guys! Where are you guys?!" the captain screamed as the corpse crawled over him, making an eerie crackling noise from its throat before taking a chomp out of his neck. He screamed for a few seconds more, and then all was silent.

Sunray Tristram
As Sundrea stretched her arms over her head, she looked back at him. "Limited, hm? Maybe I could teach you some things then." Her own knowledge of dancing was a bit limited as well but she could at least show him a few things that would count as a good workout. She then smiled, tail twitching. Dancing had also helped her fight in close combat, some of the moves helping her avoid a stray knife or punch to the kidneys. "It'd be fun, I think. What do you say?"

He grins softly as he watches her and snickers a little bit. "Ya, maybe one day you can teach me something..." he says a little hesitantly. Tenkyl may be agile but he definately was no dancer. The anthro-lynxs ears twitch as he looks back and sees thick clouds forming in the sky slowly, cocking an eyebrow up at the sky.

Sundrea raised a brow at him, wondering exactly what that statement had meant. She would have asked but she didn't think she'd get a straight answer. Or if she did, she might not like it. Better not to ask and simply find out later. "Something...sure." Arms stretching over her head, Sundrea's eyes followed Tenkyl's up to the sky. "That doesn't look too pleasant..." And she was right. Right when finishing her sentence, a bright flash of lightning jumped from one cloud to the next then, a few moments later, a rumbling boom of thunder.

Ears flattening against her head to keep out most of the sound, Sundrea growled softly. "Of course. We certainly can't go out to sea without a storm! Where's the fun in that?" Flash and boom. Sundrea kept her ears flat. "That's too loud for my comfort..."

Tenkyl looks over to her and frowns a bit before standing up and looks back to the clouds, watching the lightning and seeing the wall of rain as it quickly makes its way toward their boat. "Best get under the deck before it hits us," he says before nabbing up a lantern and lighting it, opening up the hatch for the Sundrea.

As much as Sundrea like watching the rain, when she was in the mood, she really disliked getting caught in it. Having no argument, Sundrea hurried below after he opened the hatch, her eyes adjusting to the dimmed light. The boat was already starting to rock when she got inside. Thank the Gods she didn't get sea sick. "I wonder how long this will last," she said out loud, more to herself than to Tenkyl. It would certainly delay them, she was sure.
