Slayer: The lance, it's still bonded to Mastema even though it's in your possession. For you to take control, Mastema or a part of him must rebind it to you

Slayer: Mastema, you, or some part of him has to give their soul to the lance, willing it to become yours.... Only four people's souls will work. Twilight himself, Mastema, you, or Hata. One of these four has to die for the sake of giving the lance to you

Slayer: Unfortunately yes. Twilight's is out of the question, Hata's whereabouts are unknown. That leaves yourself, suicide, or your father..... the only other way is if Mastema willingly revives Twilight.
Than: *looks down*...I-I see.....then I will talk with Otosan, I'm sure I can do something

Axl: *Is silenced when the tendril pierces clean through his heart*......T-Than....I was trying....ta.... uuugh *He falls off the tendril and on his back, blood pouring through the hole in his chest and back*

ah! *He looks through Axl, as he falls, with widened tear filled eyes*n-No! Axl kun! I...I didn't mean to..... I didn't mean to... *He can't finish his sentence. He falls to his knees and looks at his hands and body, covered in Axl's blood*

*Thanatos can't hear Nana through all his sobbing. Than's tears continue to stream down his cheek. He couldn't believe he'd taken the life of one of his best friends.... and nearly for good* why.....
