Good. The Nosferatu is like a wounded gazelle. He jumps as high as he can to say to his enemy, look! I am healthy! I can jump this high, so I must be able to outrune you! But the wily hunter targets the gazelle that jumps highest, knowing it will also be the tenderest meat when they bring it down. The lycan will indeed win.

*Bailey settled back, acting as if nothing had happened around him. He could feel the roiling emotions of both the DeSeer party observing and Dagoth at his side. Strangely, he seemed to understand and even commented on it*

You, young pup... are as big a masochist as I. Does it please you to worry so unnecessarily over that which you cannot control? For all you will not knwo HOW to hate me right now, when you ARE free again... you will be in no position to judge me or Ice as monsters... you are more like us than you know.

*In the pit, the two fighters were incredibly riled up. The lycan snarled ferally at the Cainite, who only seemed to get more beautiful.*

First ring, smashed mirror. I see you for what you are, leech. Come, fight me! Embrace the Wyrm and his designs for you!

*the two clashed as the woman dashed for the cainite. The Nosferatu was fast, darting around the werewolf, but when he attemtped a back attack, she was suddenly facing him again - another werewolf skill, the dance of combat. It was impossible to catch her off guard.
The Nosferatu invoked animalism, raising the bones of rats throughout the pit, flesh spilling over their forms from his power as he again shrank back, still foolishly hiding what he was.
Rats swarmed over the lycan, who howled as sharp teeth bit in, shaking herself as she shifted forms, dashing the creatures against the wall, jaws snapping up others, tasting their blodo and flesh, boosting her reserves as in her much stronger form, she leapt the gap and closed with the Nos once again.
He, for his part, dug deep into the animalism that was his strength, calling on the BEast within all the caged Cainites ion teh cages around the pit. With roars of desperation, they threw themselves at their bars, distracting the Lycan. In that moment, the cianite leapt, digging long claws into her hide as he dropped his glamour, rancid fangs reaching for her throat. She though simply threw herself against teh wall, shifting form as she did so, dropping out of the Nosferatu's stunned grip in a half wolf, half man form. Snarling, she opened those huge jaws... and ended it. Snarling with rage, she had to be herded back into her cage, leaving the ring clear for an hour to be cleaned up*

And next... your ultimate opponent will grace us with his skills. You are confident?

"He could be a titan of the old world and still he would die by my hands."

Dagoth didn't comment on what Bailey had said, after all a part of him knew it to be true and other part stomped it feet. He watched the fight with great glee, observing the lycans pull of muscles inits dance of death impressive he thought. Still the Nosferatu had put up a good fight for once so wounded, he had almost thought of an upset. He watched them clean for the next round, he turned his head to Bailey bowing slightly.

"May I move closer to watch my master?"

Your confidence is touching. We may indeed go closer. Come.

*Bailey rose, moving through teh crowd like a shark, leading Dagoth at his side. A path cleared to the pit like the red sea parting, giving both a view of the next two combatants entering the pit.
On the screen, 'Silent Strider vs Reindhold's Champion' appeared. Below, the Garou was forced out of his cage with a force stick, sparks jolting over his body as the creature howled and staggered acros sthe sand, already in half-wolf Crinos form.
Reinholdt's champion however stepped elegantly out of his holding cell. He wore black, and lots of it. Black boots, black pants, form fitting as if they'd been poured onto his muscular build. A black strapped top covered his chest similarly all the way up his neck, black bracers leading into leather gloves covering his hands. Over his shoulders rested a short cowl, strapped onto the shirt he wore, providing a deep overshadowing hood that obscured his face, leaving only this dark shadow on the pale sands below.
He did not look at his foe. Instead, his eyes drifted upwards. They played over the DeSeer ranks, a snarl coming from his lips as he drifted from Daegonna to Corbin, then he spun and fixated his entire attention on Dagoth. Red eyes blazed in the cowl, the growl louder now as he raised one hand to point at Dagoth. A hint of fang showed he was grinning within the shadows of his hood, his hand remaining staright like a javelin for Dagoths chest as he moved back, settling into combat stance for his fight. He did not speak, but his intent was clear. Everything before him was just fodder. Dagoth was his true target*

Daegonna felt the eyes of Reindholdt's champion on her. Hatred. It rolled off of him in palpable waves. The girl's face remained blank. She sat as still and serene as a little painted doll. She rather resembled one, in her black and pink dress. The skirt ended around her knees, and the high collar brushed the curve of her jaw. Soft lace trim whispered against her skin. The bell-shaped sleeves were trimmed with the same ornate pale pink lace, which spilled over her dainty hands, masking all but her clawed fingertips. The perfectly shaped and perfectly sharp talons were painted a charming pale pink. Her hair was done up in pigtails, and bound with black satin. Daegonna seemed to be in quite a mood, today. Black and white striped stockings and heavy leather boots completed the awkward ensemble. The boots might have been army surplus, except that nobody in the army had such small feet. There were some old bloodstains on the boots. The diminutive girl stared right back at the cowled man who glided into the ring. She didn't meet his eyes. After awhile, the trick of looking at a face without meeting potentially dangerous gaze became habit. He turned his gaze to Dagoth, who seemed infinitely more interesting. She couldn't hear his snarl, over the crowd, but she saw the blaze of hatred in the stranger's eyes. Fury. She'd seen the look on many a spurned lover, or betrayed companion.
"Who is he, Corbin?"
Daegonna sounded calm but curious. It almost sounded like an idle question. If not for the stakes, it could have been. Daegonna leaned forward, watching the combatants with avid interest. Her little feet swung back and forth. They didn't quite touch the floor. Her tail flicked back and forth.
Graymalkis whined softly, and rested his head on Daegonna's lap. For a hellhound made of bits of souls and bodies stitched together with arcane magic, he acted like a puppy. A very large, sharp toothed puppy. His fur bristled slightly as he turned his burning coal-like eyes back to the ring. He knew his mistress well enough to sense her thoughts. Dagoth would have known them too. He'd have gently scolded, no doubt.
She sighed softly, and took a piece of candy from the little purse at her side. She unwrapped the lolly, and popped it into her mouth. The lollypop smelled of strawberries.

Corbin thought to, but never actually got around to manifesting the idea, of placing his hand upon Dae's shoulder in a comforting manner as she swelled with rage regarding Iden's arrival, and evident punishment. He couldn't. His focus, was elsewhere.

For the entire time those piercing emeralds glared at either of three things. The pit, Bailey, and Dagoth.

It was however as Dagoth and Bailey approached the ring, after Dagoth's request to get closer, that Corbin snarled softly and his clawed fingers clutched at the arm ends of his seat. He was about to stand, before the next combatant's names appeared on the board, and his arms flexed. The medium of his char arms shattered beneath his fingers, as each muscle in his upper body tensed and those consistently alight orbs came to burn even brighter.

As the shrouded figure appeared, and Dae queried him, Corbin only growled quite audibly, and again took his seat. Broken as it was. At that however, Corbin's eyes found those of his restrained sibling once more, and presence was invoked in a rather direct tone. He spoke with regards to Dae's question... Yet, spoke it seemed, to Dagoth.

"You would do well, Child, to not concern yourself with such things. You, are adopted. You, are NOT, blood..... Only blood understands the true nature of our being and the true nature of our constant struggle. Only blood, looks for the constant war and worthy opponent..... Thats why us brothers, constantly fight."

And with that, the DeSeer General sat back in a luxurious manner, cigar promptly acquired and lit, before he clapped his hands once.

"Ten grand, on 'Reindhold's champion'..... Takers?"

And at this moment, the Diablerist's demeanour turned decidedly to one far more ammused. With that characteristic grin of his, his eyes lowered from his sibling, to the Cainite in the pit, glass being raised in a gesture of faith. Though it of course meant far, FAR more then that. There was an NEDLESS story behind just that one simple motion.

Daegonna didn't look up at Corbin. Her eyes were fixed on Dagoth. She sensed that Corbin wasn't really talking to her, but she responded anyway.
"I am not your blood," she began, correcting him, "but I am his blood."
Simple fact.
Dagoth was her brother by blood. Corbin was her brother by adoption. It was not at all the same thing. She knew that. She wasn't trying to be Corbin's pet sister. She was worried about her brother.
She also wasn't trying to understand the true nature of her Cainite brother. To be honest, there were parts of it that she didn't want to. There were parts of her own nature that she couldn't even begin to reconcile with her still very human heart.
Ah well. If Corbin wouldn't tell her, she'd find out somewhere else. She would just prefer that Corbin show her respect, as the blood of his brother. She didn't really expect him to respect her as a person, or a fighter, or his own sibling by adoption. That was asking an awful lot of Corbin. He didn't owe her s**t.
She did, however, expect him to honour the bonds of blood.

When Corbin laid his bet, Daegonna tilted her horned head to look up at him. Her eyes searched his face, never once settling on his eyes. Her face was a mix of curiosity and irritation. A part of her was exceedingly angry with him. Another part found it somewhat amusing. Still another part of her was thinking that her anger could be much more suitably and devastatingly directed at another point in time.
Corbin was being frustrating. That was all.
There were an awful lot of people who had been a lot more than frustrating, in the past few hours.

*At Corbin's call, the man in the pit didnt turn, didnt show any signs of hearing or suprise that he was being bet upon, especially from the DeSeer side of things.

There was, however, an answering bet The person making it wasnt easily seen in the thick crowds, but the voice... that was deep, gravelly, almnost sinister just in tone as the casual words came back towards Corbin, and were then posted on the board*

Make it 12, and you have a bet, General DeSeer...

Throwing his hand up in the air with a visible enthusiasm, Corbin called out. Unable to shake a very certain type of, unpleasant familiarity.

"Then it is official! Or atleast as close to as anything can come, in this place. Come fourth and be recognised. Brave, fool soon to have much lighter pockets."

Corbin's hand then fell to cup over Dae's shoulder, arm over the back of her neck as his voice found her inner being, his lips still as he held fast the clan poker face, eyes focused on the pit once more.

.::"That... thing, down there... Is Dagoth's hurtle, just as Malkis was mine. And beyond that there is something else that no one else can know just yet. Rest easy though, that Cainite dosn't stand a chance against our brother..."::.

As you wish, as you wish...

*The crowd parted, and a familiar figure stepped forwards He was scarred across his face, and familiarly so down his naked back also, but that shock of blue hair was the real testament to his identity. True, he was missing the disfigured and brutalised Bella at his side today, but that didnt detract from the calm aura of sadistic, twisted evil that flowed off him*

Good evening, Corbin DeSeer. Have you seen my twin lately?

*Iden Blazeheart, aka Cerberus*
PostPosted: Tue Dec 16, 2008 6:25 am

Corbin's eyes narrowed, his stomach growing taut as he managed to focus enough not to crush Dae under his hand. Eyes burning as Cerberus appeared before him.

"I have, though I find this surprising. The last time I saw you you weren't much for the words. I do however find myself glad to be unarmed. Least you feel the cold barrel of my Longinus pressed to your brow."

With a deep breath, Corbin loosened up, though by no means did he let his guard down. He knew better then to do such in the presence of ANY Sabbat, let alone this particular clansman.

"What are you doing here, in these parts, lunatic?"

Why, I came to see the games of course.... a strange way you Camarilla dogs have of testing your own mettle... but strangely compelling and enjoyable.

Bella died. I found my voice soon after, if only because Im looking for fresh meat...

*his eye drifted lazily to Daegonna, a brilliant smile bisecting his savage countenance. As wiry and unassuming as the normal Iden, this version couldnt seem to contain the fact he was VERY at home with his beast, even when stood down.*

I take it you object to me putting money on your brother? Now I wonder if thats because you resent ME, or the faction I stand for?

*Somehow... it was clear he WASNT just here for the tournament, but he wasnt likely to say more either*
PostPosted: Tue Dec 16, 2008 10:13 am

Dagoth clapped slow and loud as the two entered the pit, he chuckled to himself a broken and deeply amused chuckle at the monsters actions. He turned to Bailey with his playful smile, speaking just loud enough for the cainite to hear.

"Master we both know that I will face him in the finals. Why waste such energy on pointless battles? Theres no enjoyment for you in these, let me go in there and I will give you such a show."

Bailey would sense that small submission to please him, something within Dagoth was worried that he had so quickly began to understand the anons desire for pleasure. Had he really submitted or had Bailey broken him to the point he willing gave himself, Dagoth didnt know and now couldn't take his eyes of the creature that would be his hurdle.

*Bailey raised one eyebrow... then struck faster than sight, cuffing Dagoth across the head with a resounding 'whud'*

Remember your place, cub. I told you already, you are here only to fight and do as I please. You do not question why, you do not THINK, you bleed and you fight because I will it. Whether the fights are fair, easy, hard, unjust... that is MY concern. You will fight who I tell you to, and you will NOT break protocol in MY club.
Look over there. The General DeSeer. A rank you too will hold if you can manage to do the simple things asked of you. Would his rank be as great had he NOT endured EVERYTHING on offer in this place? Would you REALLY settle for less than what he did? Is your competative spirit gone as well as your sense? You will get to that man in the pit in time. To rush it would demean BOTH of us.

*Prehaps more could have been said, or Dagoth given a chance to answer, but it was not to be. Mostly... because the cowled man in the pit was speaking. His voice was raspy and harsh, a low decible with some kind of European twang to it, but long eroded until it was nigh on unplacable. It was unclear who exactly he was talking TO though*

Silent Strider. Skills akin to the Brujah - fast, powerful, stoic. Able to run for days without break, jump ten times the height of a normal wolf, call items to themselves and speak any language. Laughable.

*The man put both hands behind his back and rocked back on his heels. The half-wolf snarled visciously and charged, claws out. It was fast, but then.. so was the man in the pit. He leaned causally one side to another, ducking and dodging and.... it woudl take a few moments to notice it, but... the man was mimicing Corbin - specifically, the fight in which Corbin had used his tail as his only weapon and served up severed wolf on a platter. His motions were elegant, controlled... the spit and image of Corbin himself.
As the wolf, enraged before this even began from starvation and captivity, continued its foolhardy assault against its much more sane opponent, the man touched it lightly, spinning it into a wall, using its momentum against it.
He glanced up breifly at Dagoth, then smirked and raised a gloved hand to his lips. Biting into the meaty flesh of his own hand, he swept his hand downwards, vitae spilling. It didnt even hit the floor however, or send off any scent to help identify him - it burst into flames, like burning pitch, sticking to his glove as he faced the Garou. When the wofl charged again, there was a gasp from the crowd as heat washed across all watching. The man blew on his hand, sending a jet of flame, shaped like a phoenix in flight, straight at the wolf's chest. He was teasing Dagoth now, but the wolf wouldnt be able to stand again for anymore.
The flame crawled all over its fur, forcing it to shift back to human or risk burning to death, leaving instead a young woman, about 14 years old, laying on the floor, panting.

The man didnt hesitate. He crossed the floor to her, hand still alight, and thrust his claws in and under her chest. She screamed with what little energy she had left as he tore her heart out, then stomped her skull flat. Looking up, he snarled with displeasure and tossed the heart to Dagoth's feet, vitae from the girls body travelling up his legs to the seam with his top. It flowed into that crease, soaking into his body through his skin*

Enjoy it, DeSeer. Anything you lot can do, I can do better. In time... it'll be YOUR heart I serve up.

*With a smirk of satisfaction, the man turned and left. In his wake, even more people adde dtheir bets to match Iden Blazeheart's and Corbins*
PostPosted: Sun Dec 21, 2008 3:16 am

"Strange, you say....."

Corbin's arm tightened slightly around Dae's shoulders, pulling the young girl in to his slight embrace as Cerberus' eyes found her the way they did.

"This seems a mighty contradiction of terms, lad. From one who would leap through fire, and make a futile effort to share blood, already shared with his clansmen. Do not speak of our rituals as oddities in this place, Child of Ragnarok, they at the very least DO, serve a purpose."

Regardless of the man's retort Corbin could not be burnt, spurned or his opinion changed. The Sabbat were brutal, caveman-esque tribes that fought ultimately for Anarchy and THAT, was no 'purpose'. Atleast so long as a single DeSeer existed, much less any Brujah. The old clan sigils were testament to that.

"As for this Bella, I cant say that I knew her terribly well, thus care even less for her passing, and your sudden talent for articulation. Though know well that so long as I can bat an eye lid, there will be sides. And anything on such as my own, is far beyond your reach. Staff, Alliances, Harem and essPECIAlly, family."

At which point Corbin's fingers gave Dae's shoulder a slight reassuring squeeze. Though lord knew the girl had enough spunk to speak up for herself.

"Bet on whomever you like, Child of Ragnarok. I couldn't care less. However, no such foul creature crosses realms for such 'strange trials'... Seek me out come the time you grow the substance, or atleast the sheer BALLS to admit your TRUE reasoning for being here, and I will entertain your loathsome company. Till then, be gone from my sight before I decide to wave the laws laid down by our gracious hosts. Heathen."

Everything about the General said anything but hesitation in his acusations and threats. Those hard, heart breaking emeralds always did hit decidedely with the weight of Venuses Gravity, though it was always with varied intent. Here, there was no mistake. Corbin would in a moment take to his feet and draw arms. No realm jumping, or far more adept illusionist then he would intimidate him. Not in this place or any other...... Though lord help the poor fool that DID step up in a not only Camarilla controlled, but Syndicate venue.

With yet another gesture of assurance in the form of an oddly warm hand clasped about the young lady's shoulder, the tribal ussual reserved to the Diablerist's left arm writhed, and swept across his pale hide without restraint in the form of a rather large feline paw, claws unsheathed over his chest... The forward stride of the Lion that was his Totem.

This however may not neccasarily have come from the irritation embodied by the blazeheart before him.... This may very well have been a reaction to the massacre below, given the Cainite's lectures and his unmistakable fashion in the fight. Not a moment of which, was missed.

There would be no trace left of this abomination after the trials, regardless of the outcome. This new Diablerist that had for so long escaped Corbin's eye, would never survive though perhaps.... Find peace. By Dagoth's hand, or that of Syn Pride.

When the slap came Dagoth's head didn't move, his throat allowed a small chuckle though how quickly the syn had almost become parental in some aspects. Dagoth of course was simply musing and playing with his very small leash when had spoken, as the monster entered the room he let a small unimpressed sigh out. His fight was boring to the crimson cainite, there was nothing individual, nothing but old mentalities and the undead stuck in their ways. He booted the heart back into the pit when it landed at his feet, allowing himself to soak up the sudden change in emotion in the room.

"Such brave words for one already passing from this world. Next time beast tell me your name, then I shall gladly take your head."

He would more than likely be punished for speaking out, but the showman in him couldn't resist amping up the drama. The flurry of conversation reached fear pitch, Dagoth instead was watching Corbin place his arm around his sister. A low gutteral growl escaped him, then again he knew what Corbin was doing and was beging to wonder what was after this little tornament.
