Maeko-Hana As the crowds continued along, so did Leshya'e and Anezka. The festivals kicked into a new stage with even more wine and candies, reminding Leshya'e yet again to be watchful of her daughter. While Ani wasn't watching, she slipped the bottle of Icarus Dust out of her daughters belt. I owe this to her...after all that's happened in her short life...she can't do this on her own.
Opening the bottle, she sprinkled the dust on a piece of candy she had been handed. Taking a few deep breathes, she put the candy in her mouth and chewed...swallowed...waited... One wing comes fairly sweetlly. Hadassah had tried to warn the family- but... as Banyas often do, the message was too broad, and did not begin to explain enough. Luckily, Leshya'e... was mindful of, if not a Banya, then at least her daughter's needs and constitution. Icarus Dust is almost completely sugar. Had she eaten it, she would have been almost entirely put into her altered state- especially if she had, as her mother, eaten it with a piece of candy. Instead, Leshya'e might only feel the sugary buzz in the back of her skull for several hours. She also was given one very clear thing: a picture, and a whisper, as if spoken by an angel's voice in her ear. A piece of the TriRune is on Neried Isle, in the hands of Hedriken. He will trade it for either a unique magical artifact... or 400 couplets.

Neried Isle? Hedriken?...Leshya'e rubbed her head a bit, blinking her eyes. Neried is well across the water from here...and I'm absolutely no good with boats...my feet belong on solid ground. She chewed nervously on her lip, then wrapped her arm around Anezka. "Come on...let's see what's going on down this way..." As she moved herself and Ani through the crowd, she hoped someone might be at the shore to bring them across.

What a day, what a day... Thuban thought as he sipped wine down by the river. He lazed, back against a large holdall. Maybe later he could head out to one of the camps surrounding the port to trade with his fellow gypsies or other travellers...or maybe just find a shop here in the city to hawk his wares for him. Either way, it had still be a great day so far.
A new Peress and if what he'd heard was true, a gypsy had been chosen by the Saviour. All the food and drink and celebrations had certaintly been fun. But now Thuban Roza was having a much better time relaxing down by the water and slowly charming one of the women who was handing out the sweets - not to mention flirting in a delightfully secretive, subtle way with one of the men with the wine jugs. Gods it was good to be him~
(*Tosses Thuban out of her imagination* If anyone wants to bump into him, t'would be good. Else I'll have to have him spot his sister and maybe try to beat up Jal when he hears about the Skirt Incedent x3')

The hubbub of the ceremony is beginning to diminish. Caroline begins to make her way toward her daughter through the throng of people again when there is a pull at her heart and her feet. She forgets all else and follows it, the path of least resistance. It's almost as if she's being pushed from behind toward someplace. She hears the roar of water. The docks.
Rojiza watches and waves for her mother as she comes near. She frowns, then, as her mother suddenly about-faces and begins walking the other direction. Rojiza follows her mother, opening her mouth in an attempt to cry out. She ducks between people and even jumps over a low cart. It's then that the summoning catches her. The earth is stronger in her than in her mother, and so she's nearly physically pulled forward by her head, chest, and feet. She forgets her mother and follows the pull toward the water.

Edit Altaira only let her attention wander in order to say a thankyou for the interesting flask she was given. It was strung onto one of her four belts around her waist, to hang with the less decorative, smaller flask, a dagger, a pouch and a crystal she carried there too. It was too pretty to be carried like this normally, however. While turned briefly away from Jal, she spotted Heather and smiled back at her, mounthing 'come over if you want' quickly - maybe too quickly to be understood. Then her grey eyes were back on Jal. "It's fine. I mean, that you hid. And even if you made a mistake with her age, which, can be hard to judge...people always get my age wrong... I just hope you didn't break the lass' heart." Altaira shrugged. It wasn't her buisness, truely. Maybe she should get Sindri back to WInd Wheels soon...though he looked happier, having seen Kala shrunk down to his size. Temporary but heartening. "All Saviours...I wonder who got chosen." [[quoting since this was several pages back. Sorry work sucks razz ]] "I uh... am hopen I didn't break her heart either. But I aint ready to die tryin to see her again. I really only just met her." Jall ruffed his messy brown hair nervously. She HAD to have made him feel guilty now didn't she. "Hey, what bout MY heart! She coulda been out to break it jus' as easily." He shuffled his feet a bit and stuck his slightly dirty hands into his pockets.
"So are ya headin out of this town cause I'm thinkin I aint got a reason to be here no more?" Jaal asked. He was starting to feel a little bummed about the day. The winner of All saviors day never really interested him. He just hoped he wasn't also knocking women up today.

Oqaia "It has been so long since we've had a Saviour. But legend says that our last Saviour returned to us as a young adult. Also, you should know- according to our scripture, the Saviour grows faster than non-magical children. So it may grow in... spurts." "Grow in spurts? Well, I'm all too familiar with such things," she said with a chuckle. Instantly, she was reminded of Kalpana. She'd gotten too caught up in thoughts of the Savior. Kal needed her. "Well, I must go find my daughter. I'm not sure what she'll think of all this, but soon she'll be a big sister."
Irina smiled and took the priestess' hands in her own. "Thank you. I will do my best to raise the Savior well...he or she will learn many things about the world in their life journey, no doubt. Living with a gypsy caravan will be an enriching experience, I'm sure." She squeezed the woman's hands and then let them fall, and she turned to go find Kal.
The little girl was sitting on the ground close to another priestess--the one who had been chosen to take care of the little badger-girl. "Thank you for watching her while I was away. I do appreciate your help." She gave the woman a squeeze on the arm, and then squatted down next to Kal. "About ready to go home kiddo?" she asked, meeting the infant's green and purple eyes.
Kal nodded her head, her eyes looking teary. She'd missed her mother while she was away. Kal reached up for her mother and Irina obliged her, lifting her off of the ground and bouncing her on her hip. The little badger yawned and rubbed her eyes with her fists. It was time to nap...
"You're going to have a little brother or sister soon," she said, wondering how Kal would take that news. "I hope you'll be a good big sister," she smiled at her daughter and stroked her hair as the infant's head rested against her shoulder.

The commencement of the ceremony caused a sudden halt to their conversation, Mirela turning from Irina and lifting her sapphire eyes to follow the path of the now airborne cloth. A sharp intake of breath indicated the young gypsy’s surprise and awe as the material shifted and changed, erupting into a brilliant explosion of light and floating back down to hover about the head of the priestess. Listening to the quietly spoken instructions, Mirela’s mind uttered thoughts and mirrored the sentiments of Irina; expressing her unfamiliarity, yet growing knowledge, of motherhood, and her willingness to care for the Spirit and raise it alongside her son. With the words still echoing within her mind, the teenager watched with restrained excitement and anticipation as the Spirit left its perch and moved over the crowd, flittering from one person to the next before finally reaching Mirela herself.
Lowering her golden-topped head and closing her eyes, the woman held her breath as the Spirit settled close to her, moving from against her heart to her cheek, hair, and back to her heart once more. For a moment Mirela believed she had been chosen to bare the Spirit child, a notion which left her both humbled and fearful. She was, after all, only new to being a mother, and wondered whether she would be best suited to raise a child that would be of such great importance to so many people, yet Mirela knew that in spite of this that she would do everything she could for this child, for the Spirit, should it choose her. However the ball of light moved away, floating to Irina to examine her, and Mirela felt a faint tinge of rejection well within her. Perhaps she had been right when she had dwelled upon her inexperience, yet soon the Spirit had returned to her once more, serving to push such thoughts away. Once more she felt the light’s warmth against her cheek, causing a small smile to play across Mirela’s lips at the lovingness of the gesture, the feeling continuing to linger even as the Spirit turned and floated into Irina.
Despite not having been chosen Mirela was happy for her gypsy sister, offering Irina a broad smile and honest congratulations. The tenderness of the Spirit’s final caress had dispelled her earlier thoughts of rejection and inexperience, replacing them inside with a warm joy that she had not only been given so much attention but also that she would be a member of the caravan into which the Spirit child would eventually be born. Smiling at Irina once more, Mirela turned and weaved her way back through the crowd; taking Tafari in her arms as she reached the priestess who held him. Ruffling the boy’s hair and kissing him light upon the cheek, the young woman quietly spoke – “So much excitement for one evening, and I think you might have even been close to have a little brother or sister”

"Well, you seem alright." She shugged.
"And yes, I'm heading out of town. Me and Sindri...either with our caravan or not, but we're leaving." Altaira sighed, still unsure. She didn't want to stay and cause disruption within the caravan, and she didn't want any more fighst between the felines. Despite not knowing most of the gypsies well, she knew she'd miss them though. And what of Sindri? He was a Fortunette. Alt knew of another caravan with them, but other that that, no one.
"If we stay with the others, it's up to them if you can hop a lift with us Jal."

Marissa waited with Lor, shifting from one foot to the other as she did so. She didn't see anyone, and began to worry that the effects of the charm didn't effect or reach wherever Caroline and Ro were. But then...
"Ro! Caroline! There they are!" She quickly took off the charm to nullify it's effects. She rushed to meet the two girls.
"I'm so sorry I had to call you that way," she said in a rush. She didn't like the idea of puppeting other people, for obvious reasons. But she was sure they would understand. "I think I know how to save Kale." She looked at Rojiza and smiled; the poor girl's grief would be ended soon.
"We need to go to the docks. Lorelei will take us there."

Caroline snaps out of the trance-like state "Och. It's alright," she says, still trying to shake off the pulling sensation.
Rojiza, on the other hand, latches onto Marissa's words. A way to save him! She clasps her hands together tightly to refrain from jumping up and down. Then let's get on with it!

Smiling at Caroline and Rojiza, Lorelei beckoned from the shadows of her cloak. "Come. High tide will soon draw back - if water is really what is going to save Kale, it'll be best to get there when the level is highest."
She led them through the last few roads to the docks, taking them to one of the few piers that had only one ship moored to it.
"What are we looking for?"

Marissa frowned. "I...I don't know, exactly" she said slowly. "A Filor told me to find the Sentinel Loch, who supposedly dwells by the docks, and can sometimes be seen by humans." She squinted and looked around on the water. "I don't know much more than that." She sounded apologetic, and hoped she had not led them all on a wild goose chase. She pulled Kale out of her beltpurse and held him, for comfort. They waited, not sure what to do next.

Caroline and Rojiza follow them to the docks. Caroline throws her weight to one hip, prepared for a long wait.
Rojiza sits down on the edge of the dock and dangles her feet over the side. Her toes almost touch the water.

"Are you looking for someone...?" Anezka asked, figuring that her mother was probably searching for Valelldia or one of the other wagon sisters, "I could help, if you want." She wrapped her arm around Shy's waist and balanced up on her toes, causing them both to giggle.
"Oh, no, I think everyone's still too tall for you to see over...you just stay with me." Leshya'e nodded and rubbed Anezka's back and continued to search the crowds, I'm not sure you could really help anyways, I don't even know who I'm looking for.
