((Forgive the mule mix-up. This post is made by the one and only Ginerva MacFroo. >D))

"Oh, well he shall have to, won't he? He certainly looks lovely in his... costume... tonight, doesn't he?" She giggled. A piercing giggle. A sinister, and completely - unmistakable - giggle, for one who was familiar with it.
Indeed, in the labs, it caused a distinct sense of aprehension wherver it was heard.

The words stunned Gaius. His fault? A million protests flooded his mouth. It'd been Billy's plan! It was because he was begging! He was just helping!

But look at the guy. He was responsible for that.

"...Crap."

Rubbing his forehead under his helmet, Gaius glanced at Sid's drink mixing. "...can you make me one too?"

His attention turned back to Billy, abashed that his actions could have resulted in further tormenting the lowly guy. "Listen... I'm... I'm sorry, I never intended it to go like that... I thought..." He shrugged, looking down at his feet. Honestly, he'd never thought he'd have to see the consequences of it all.

Clumsily, Billy managed to unscrew the cap on the waterbottle and push the wig to the side to access his mantle hole, head tipped to the side to fill it with water, pumping it in and out over his internal gills, letting it soak through the shoulder of his labcoat. That done, he gave a sigh, sitting back with his eyes clothes in an attempt to slow his breathing and steady his heartrate. In a gravely, but less angry voice his mouth broke into a grin and he spoke, "Can... y'guess... me costume...?"

Bia was torn- almost instantly- between the voice and the face of a man who held a terrible disposition- that of a flat-nosed, hideous bat-visage... and an unmistakable, devious giggle. One of the avenues required an answer- the other, she had no response for at all, but to look to corroborate something that she already knew. She looked to the sound of the trilling, yet sinister laugh- and yes. It was Ginerva.

Bia was not so frightened of the off-kilter woman that she would have paled. (Even had she the ability to do so.) But it was enough to cause her to give Tommy only a soft, apologetic wave- likely adding him, as well, into the ranks of Sid and Thom- people she had offended in some way, by her self-possession and lack of being able to casually oil a social situation. She left many things hanging, this Bia Grey- but there was little she could do to fix the situation, as she turned back to Ginerva. She had looked into the woman's eyes- had she seen her, in return?

"Hope ssso. Wha'sss he come as?" Zach asked, wincing a little at Ginerva's giggle. He hadn't seen Thom around yet, and had sort of been hoping he wouldn't. The snake was a psychopath if he ever saw one. He couldn't really count on himself to get away quickly, not if the ceiling and the floor kept trying to switch places on him when he walked around.

"I've only got two hands here," Sid protested. Then he remembered he'd be free to mix another drink once he put his own glass down. All he had to do finish it first. Brilliant. He downed the contest, shook his head again, and then ammended with, "Okay, hold on."

He worked quickly, perhaps a little too quickly given what was coursing through his veins, but he somehow kept the spilling to a minimal. Thanks to that, he completely missed Billy's display with the water. A drop of some part of the concoction Sid handed Gaius trailed down his hand as he held it out. He didn't bother explaining it what it was called, much less what he'd put in it.

Tommy frowns a bit, wondering what was wrong but then saw that the person she was originally talking to struck back up a conversation...sort of. That, or he was just butt ugly...whatever the case. All in all, he was a tad bit lonely, all by himself at this party...but then again, he was on the line between buzzed and full-blown drunkeness so not much will bother him. Thankfully, he's a rather happy drunk.

He sighs a bit and downs a gulp of tequila-laced blood with a smirk.

"I believe I saw the fellow well-clad in a lovely little gown. Topped with a top hat." She smirked.

It was then that she noticed the face looking quite pointedly at her. Was she that strange a sight? But then - then she recognized her, past the little beak. Inside, she scoffed. The doctor who'd left their ranks to join - this. But then, she felt herself biting her lip. Doctor Grey... from the labs. They knew each other, well enough. This bumbling woman was enough to unravel everything. And put Ginerva in quite an uncomfortable position.

Ah, well. At least her current company was properly dumbed by alcohol. There was nothing to fear!
"Good evening, friend!" She said brightly and shrilly.

"Wait, what-" Gaius tailed off, staring as Billy downed a bottle of water... through his ear.

"That's a hell of a party trick..." he muttered, unnerved, but attempting to appear amiable. At his question, Gaius furrowed his brows, looking over the octopus again. "Uh... it... looks like a scientist, with the lab coat?" He shrugged. Never having seen the actual Moreau and barely knowing about him made it hard to recognize the imitation.

He took the cup gratefully, licking off a little of the stuff that dripped onto his hand, not thinking to question the mix. Sid knew his alcohols, right? It was sure to be fine.

A flush ran to Bia's cheeks, and a whistling hum she did not know was her own filled her ears. Ginerva MacFroo could easily tell the others what she was, who, and the things she had done. There were no relationships, no understandings or friendships between her and any islander- not yet. So there was nothing to see come crumbling down. But even so, the idea of being exposed filled the woman with a buzz not connected to the strong alcohol she'd alread imbibed.

"Hello..." she could not bring herself to say friend. "Hello," then, was all she said, again. She hoped that the less attention she paid to Ginerva, the more the crazy woman would become bored with her. She likened it to a mouse staying as still as possible when a cat comes at it with a playful paw and a gaping mouth of sharp teeth. Though the mouse hopes desperately that its faux-catatonic state will disinterest the creature that hunts it- the likeliness of that being so... is slim.

"M'Big Red! Th'doc himself..." He gave a mad sort of bleery laugh, shifting in his chair again, "Scarriest... t'ing I coul' t'ink of... aye?" He paused, fianlly taking in the aspects of the young man's costume, eyes blinking out of unison again, "An'... wha're y'sposed t'be? A can o' dog food?"

Tommy feels as if he needs a bit more liquid courage before he can muster up the nerve to sing on stage...so off he goes once again.

"The doctor?" The would-be knight blinked before making the connection. "Oh! Ooooh! Right, someone had said Moreau has red hair, I think... Heh, that's rather daring of you. Not worried about getting in more trouble?" he smirked.

He stood up a bit straighter, trying to put on a noble air, at the same time shifting the helmet off-kilter so it sat askew over one of his ears. "I'm a knight, of course! Here with my lovely lady, Nita, who... ah shoot!" He jerked around, looking back towards the tables. "I forgot! She's waiting for me!"

Grabbing up his plate, he gave Billy and Sid a hasty salute with the cup. "Sorry guys, the lady's waiting!" With that, he turned tail and headed back in the direction of the tables.

Sid swayed a little and braced himself against the table. No way he could feel that way after two drinks... but then he remembered the pills. Right, that made sense then. "Take with lots of alcohol," he muttered to himself with a giggle. He was well on his way to catching up on all the liver damage he ought to have, but even when he was sober he never paid any mind to those risks. He should have asked for his cane back, but his leg felt fine. Everything felt fine. Everything was fantastic.
