Okami burst through the tree lines out on to a brach. "oh crap wrong way." he said to himself seeing the two shinobi stnding there. "I'm having a crapy day." Okami said preparing to turn back

Karu walked in, stopping in front of the lake. "Yes, this will do nicely."
He pulled the scroll and a single ofuda out, sitting on the ground. He unwrapped part of the ofuda around his hand, taking out a small brush with a sharpened end. He pricked his finger with the sharp end, dabbing the brush end with blood. He then drew out a single seal on the ofuda. Satisfied, he swallowed a soldier pill, before placing the ofuda on the ground and forming a hand sign. "And now let us begin." He glanced over the scroll, memorizing the incantation marked on it, and resealing it.
Closing his eyes, he began to chant:
"U drui fru nacetadr eh dra funmt ihcaah,
E pacaalr draa du knyhd sa dro tejeha bnudaldeuh.
Caym seha seht vnus ihlmayh tasuhc caagehk seha cuim,
Yht knyhd sa fectus du tavaht seha cahcac."
Once the chant was done, the ofuda on the ground rose into the air, glowing with chakra, and then launched itself at Karu, piercing him through the chest.
The sudden jolt knocked him backwards several feet, but he stood, his mind suddenly feeling clearer. He smirked coldly. "Spiritual Defense Seal... success."

Karu jumped slightly, but recovered, sliding again into Kifu's persona.
"Hello Doku-sama! You caught me at kind of a bad time, I was just about to go in." He jerked his thumb in the direction of the lake.

Karu cursed. "The idiot is more trouble than he's worth. He won't be able to detect me mentally, that much is certain. Very well, I'll take the bloody long way around, and I'll just have to avoid them." He picked up his belongings, dashing off into the trees, away from the path.
