not really. becasue it is a swordwind army primarily, it would become an elite vehicle instead of fast attack, plus vipers are as easy to destroy as marine landspeeders. trust me on that one, I shot down enough speeders with tau weapons to know that, and its worse being open topped, right?
as for teh brightlance, pulse laser idea on the falcon, i guess that makes it a tried and true idea. I used my current one pretty well, but i can only fire one of the two weapons at full combat speed (12"). If i remember right, I can fire all weapons with a fast vehicle when it moves anywhere between 0-6", and 6-12" restricts my shots to one main weapon (7 or higher i think) an all defensive weapons. furthermore, skimmer vehicles that move 6" or more in a turn ensure that only glancing hits are done due to excessive speed, correct? sorry if i'm questioning movement rules, but i should know them for the skimmer tanks.

I can't say I really have a preference. I just tend to randomly pick a conformation of military might from the Craftworld Eldar Codex, and tinker. Though i also play standard craftworld just as much as Codex.

I have been thinking for a while about starting eldar and I was just reading through a bit of this. A little while ago somone mentioned the Fire Prism Grav tank and ya said it was junk. Couldn't you just convert the Fire Prism to have a different weapon?

not possible. the fire prism is primarily armed with twin linkedshuriken catapults and the prism cannon. if you want the fire prism as a heavy support choice, the only weapon that can be replaced are the catapults for one shuriken cannon.

Quite right, the main cannon of the fire prism cannot be changed. And I do have a very good readon why i say it is junk.
The stat line of the Prism cannon is quite good, considering what it is. The vehicle mount is superb. The problem lies in the combination. At over 100 points you obtain a mobile weapons platform that can either only fire it's shurikens, or it's main gun. if it ops for the main gun, it gets one shot, with a 50% hit chance, with a 3" template. The reason these are so bad is they never manage to pay for themselves.
They are allright in theory, but you can't count on them hitting. I have only ever seen 2 shots hit. The vehicle mount doesn't provide transport. And when they do hit, they only kill one or two models.

Eldar should be able to upgrade their Tank BS. Speaking of which, Eldar needs to really be balanced and redone. Many things are overpowered/really good (Mind War, starcannon) and others are useless (Eldritch Storm, Swooping hawks. I hope 4th edition comes out for eldar soon...

If you can't make a good list then you need to stop using your other armies tactics.75% of people I know who play make that mistake at first. Now for all you Canadians out there; Something for an upcoming campain.I think it could be a special edition but I have no solid ideas.

Hello, I've got a question: With an aliatoc craftworld, how would you go about using your wraithlords with this setup?
Avatar - 80 pts Pathfinders (5) - 120 pts Pathfinders (5) - 120 pts Pathfinders (5) - 120 pts Rangers (6) - 114 pts Rangers (6) - 114 pts Rangers (6) - 114 pts. Rangers (6) - 114 pts Rangers (6) - 114 pts Dire Avengers (9 w/Exarch & serpent) - 376 pts. Defend, Distract ,Dire sword, Holograph-Field, Spirit Stones, Star Engines, Twin-linked Star-cannons, Vectored Engines
Vyper Squad (3) - 275 pts. 2xStar-cannon, Missile-Launcher, x3 Vectored Engines
Wraithlord (3) - 360 pts. Bright Lances, Flamer, Shuriken Catapult
I was thinking about keeping them back for backup in case a squad of rangers gets caught up in some cc.
I also planned this setup to use the disruption table a lot.
I've also got an army setup for the Biel Tan.
Avatar – 80 Pts.
Banshees (9 w/exarch & serpent) – 329 pts Executioner, Acrobatics, Spirit Stones, Vec. Engines, Twin Starcannons.
Banshees (9 w/exarch & serpent) – 329 pts Executioner, Acrobatics, Spirit Stones, Vec. Engines, Twin Starcannons.
Scorpions (9 w/exarch & serpent) – 357 pts. Haywire Grenades, Biting Blade, Crushing Blow, Spirit Stones, Vec. Engines, Twin Starcannons.
Reapers (4 w/exarch) – 223 pts. Missle Launcher, Crack Shot.
Warp Spiders (9 w/exarch) –287 Pts. Assault Upgrade, Power Blades, Surprise assault
Wraithlord (3) – 360 pts. Flamer, Shur. Catapult, Bright Lance.

Ouch man...If it has the potent abilities of a farseer and the raw strenght of a demon. this can be one hell of a foe! I do wonder at whose side he will be? good (eldar) or evil (chaos)? And by the way; Was i the only one who took sooooo long to realize that the eldar are actually just the "High Elves" of 40k? sweatdrop

Why is it that no one posts anything in this thread anymore. I would post something, but I am afraid I do not have anything intelligent say except that GW will be redoing Eldar right after they redo Tau (which is next). Expect a new Eldar codex in about a year or so. WHY MUST WE WAIT!? I mean, Tau is soooo much newer than Eldar and in a less desperate need of a revision. I mean, Eldar is pretty much like 2nd edition (although its really 3rd). GW just revises the races that most noobs play like Tau, to potentially just earn more profit. Ehhh.... Nonetheless, Eldar will soon (alhtough not that soon) be revised for 4th edition. Rejoice, my Eldar comrades!
