Ginger Snapple Runs around in circles - yaayyy yaaayy The information was released that the new chapters will be out very soon, possibly by the end of this month. Jumps up and down - Yayyyyyyyy ... Runs away - ' ;_; They'd better be because "spring" is just about over in the technical sense and that's when the last Perfect World claimed it would be out. I was just coming to scramble about that because I was uber worried that I missed the next volume, and since I'm desperate to get my hands on just about anything Genbu Kaiden, not to have one of the Perfect World volumes would make me cry. Fayie:: Rimudo's age is still up for conjecture as far as I'm concerned. I know that Takiko is for sure 17, I would think he would be about the same age if not older. He certainly doesn't look like other 15-16 year olds Watase-sensei has drawn, so I have a hard time believing he's younger. And I also prefer him not to be jailbait XD Let me also welcome you onboard the Genbu fanbus ^^ I've come to love Genbu Kaiden more than the SuSei arc for much of the same reasons as you did. I'm 21 years old now, and there has to be a lot more substance for me to really fall in love with something now than there needed to be when I was 14-15. Takiko reminds me in some ways of myself and I relate to her way more than I ever could Miaka. I'm always more interested in the more mature characters who still have understandable faults. And the Tamahome/Miaka thing got waaaaay old. Its fun to have this be so new and telling people about it. I'm hoping that it gets animated so more people will show interest. 'Cus let's face it, most people don't pay anything attention till it's animated.

I agree. The most popular manga series in the US first came here as an anime. After people started enjoying the anime, the manga came on board and then sold very well. (Fruits Basket comes as an anime --> Manga becomes uber best seller. Fullmetal Alchemist comes as an anime --> uber best seller. It goes that way with so many animes I can think of).

I only got volume 1 now but now I got a volume of every serie of Yuu Watase. I'm so proud whee But it's very difficult to get the series here especially Genbu kaiden and AB. How many volumes are out of Genbu kaiden? They say only 3 have been translated.

How many volumes are out of Genbu kaiden? They say only 3 have been translated. Correction: you have a volume of every series of Watase-sensei that is out in ENGLISH. There are only three volumes of Genbu Kaiden in English, five in Japanese. Though I believe a sixth one should be out whenever they get the new chapters out. Genbu Kaiden is slow in coming because two chapters are released about every two months.

Two months, four months, sometimes three months. Who cares? It's inconsistent as far as I've seen anyway x_x All that matters is it comes out. And soon I hope ;_; This has dragged on way too long.

You know, this is why we anime fans are huge pirates. It's because they don't have the decency to translate or update fast enough!
(I wouldn't have downloaded half the stuff I did if they would only bring it to the US or make it available on region 1 about 2 years sooner...)

Or even if they DO release something slowly it's never very well translated. Like Viz. Viz is a great example of a company that sucks at it's translations. A lot of the works they've released have been out for years and they have the gall to turn out the crappy translations that they do?
I swear the anime and manga turned out now in English is utter crap. I don't care waiting extra time for things to come out in Japan or pay the extra money because then I know I'm getting the original, the way it was supposed to be. Not changed or butchered by someone else and how THEY think it should be.

The slow releases get to me when they do works that come out in Shojo or Shonen Beat/Jump first. It takes them 4 months to translate when Japan is already close to being finished with or already finished with the series. I the only translation complaint I have is that they change names, which is pretty annoying. I cant stand calling Rimudo "Limdo" while I read. I have to have this mental thing going that every time I see "Limdo" I've learned automatically to say "Rimudo." But still. Also (and I find this with Viz and Tokyopop) I think they should get better editors. I've found weird spelling mistakes before, and its pretty annoying.

Can anyone confirm that I hope not. crying In Japan there are 5 books out. But the series is a work in progress. Right now, very slow progress. Watase is still working on Genbu Kaiden, I would venture to say at the pace the story line is going right now it'll be around 8 volumes, but thats just my opinion.

If you read that in the English version then I'm gonna have to discount it >_> I discount anything in regards to Viz. I have volume three in Japanese and I'll go check on that later. Because with the era changes there could be a change there that Viz never quite got in the translation. I need scanned proof to believe darnit XD
The series is going to have to be longer than six volumes, five are already out in Japanese and she still has a bit more ground to cover. I honestly hope it doesn't drag any longer than 10 volumes personally. But however long it is I will continue to follow it because I have the patience and I love this series that much ^^
