SubHumanRemains LOTR... hah that'd be a cool field show... we can have the DM as gandalf and a colourguard as gollum... and... yeah. The best high school marching show I ever saw was Midland Lee (in Texas) perform Star Wars. Their drum majors were Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Lea. They had a huge robot R2D2 with like a person inside driving it around. It was so awesome.

There was another one around us i think...the incredibles. One band did Mr. incredible as their FC, and syndrom, another FC pushed him off the podium and conducted for a while, but by the end Mr. incredible prevailed... yeah. we thought the idea wasn't too good i don't think they did it... you could loose time really easily. But we had our FC dressed like in a white dress shirt and tie and slacks, and on the 3rd section, we have this part where it starts really wuiet (with a mello solo (that i didn't have BTW evil )) but yeah then it was like *BANG!* and our FC tore off his shirt.. revealing an incredibles shirt like we all were wearing. it took a lot of prectice and a TON of velco... but we managed it.

Oh, our theme this year was Tutenkamen. We don't dress up our drum majors or ourselves. We got sweepstakes at contest though.
A band near us did incredibles -- I personally didn't like the music. Too much trumpet -- not enough low and middle brass. Not to mention that the Incredibles theme has been completely worn out. I don't like the movie.

cool Horns kick Brass! I'm section leader leader of my three french hornketeers. lol. I love the horn! I love the Mello too! I'm sad no more marching for me sweatdrop I'm going to the Uniersity of North Florida this year. At least I get to play still! I am working on getting a Farkas. That would be a sweet graduation present. WHOSHAW! My band is going to Canada in May for our Symphonic/Jazz/Guard competition. I'm nervous. Anyone been to Toronto?

it was kinda worn out by the end of our season cuz we had at least 2 other bands performing some version or another. There are 1 or two versions that have way too much high brass/woodwinds. we had a lot of trumpets, but our low brass kicked butt, so we were pretty even. plus we had a lot of parts that didn't even include the trumpets (i guess the composer really knew hot to write huh? xp ) a lot of the time, just low brass, high winds and middle reeds and brass. but yeah... incredibles was way overdone this season. i agree. but i must say that i personally think the movie was really good, kinda stereotypicalish, but cool.

I think they like to ignore us new people. Its hard to respond to new people sometimes. Its a lot funner for ever member if they have friends in forums, once people start to know you better its easier for them to respond cuz they actually know the peson whos saying it. I've never gotten people to respond to my posts before. make what you say thought provoking and interesting and people will respond. if you hear something about a certain subject that people might find interesting post it, and post a lot, get yourself known. and if you need people to talk to, i'm here. i'm lonely. PM me if you're bored.

Heeelloo new horn people.
Ok, I don't have much to say other than that.
Hmm. Ooh horns in popular music. I was listening to some of my parents Beatles cds yesterday and on Yellow Submarine there is a load of instrumental tunes. Some of them had really good horn parts, they sounded great.

I sat down to watch the movie quite a few times and never could get all the way through it. Oh well.
