They travelled upstream for a couple of miles, until the river seemed clear and clean. There they went in for a swim in the deep currents. Not too far into those currents, for fear of being swept into the destruction further down. Two had decided not to use that ford, but to go to the places where the two rivers had converged into one.
He was busy looking at the plants.Charley his saddlebred followed close. This was the land of the 'special horses',and he was awed by it's beauty. James had no idea what type of plants and animals could be found in the world.Although there certainly were horses like he had not seen before. Some had been colored like the flowers of his grandmother's garden. Even as he wrote that in his journal,he laughed to think what others may say about it.Thinking of back home had brought a pain to him.His grand mother was old and ailing. He did not expect to see her when he returned home. She had given him her blessing, and he knew would have loved to be here with him.She had bestowed upon him the love of nature. So little of the natural beauty around London had been left. Two and Chaleha had finished their bathing and began their trek up river to the place where there was only one river.Hoping for a cleaner place to cross.they had gone about two miles when Chaleha signalled they were not alone. Two felt it also. Crouching low and keeping to the shadows of the wood behind them they crept around the bend of the river. There they saw James bending over some plants and doing something with his hands.two saw his companion, all bound with the ropes and the metal clangers in it's mouth. She readied the sling.Mad she was from the site up river, she moved silently up to the newcomer. He was crouching along the edge of the forest,on the sandy bank of the river.

Summer Jessamin bounded out of her bed, leaving her sister still sleeping, and grabbed a handful of dried fish to be her first meal. She was too excited to sit still, too excited to stay sleeping, too excited to do much of anything but ... fall on her face after tripping over the rug at the door way. After picking herself up after that, she then came out of her teepee at a little slower pace and stretched in the early morning mist. Ahhhhh, to be outside was fantastic. And what new fun adventures did this morning hold? She wants to learn more about these pale faces, and get to know her fellow indians in this time of change. Everything was new and interesting. But... where was everyone? It was a very still and quiet morning. The only noises were the warbles of early birds and the occasional noise of sleeping horses. Summer Jessamin looked a little disapointed, it was so ... boring ... out.

As Summer Jessamin looked around, she then noticed her friend from yesterday laying in the grass. Perfect! Someone to talk to, she thought to herself. She made her way over to Chandrika and flopped down in the grass next to her. After munching on the dried fish for a moment, she asked her friend, "whatca doing?"

"I'm doing well," Summer Jessamin said between bites of fish. "And I don't think you need to worry about anything you'll need your bow for. These pale faces are nice, they've come for peace! And peace is always the best way to go. You'll see, we'll help them become part of the land, and we'll all prosper from it." It was easiest to be an optismist in the morning, because even Summer had her doubts last night...

Summer Jessamin shrugged and muched on her fish for a while in silence. She wasn't sure what to think, to be honest. "I guess that's smart..." She finally decided. "And I should probably keep my spear with me then..." She was useless with a bow... "But I think it's too clumsy just to carry around. If there's any trouble, I'll just climb higher and faster into my father trees and they won't be able to get me!" She didn't really think of how she was going to defend anyone but herself, however...

Chandrika's comment filled Summer Jessamin with a warm sensation of family. Summer couldn't help from glomping Chandrika. "Thank you sooo much!!!" Everything felt a whole lot safer now.

Summer Jessamin clapped her hands together. "I've always wanted a big sister!" She was so excited. Already the pale faces had brought good change to her life! What other things did they bring for her?

Taroji had been following a strange noise for a while, the forest always use to be silent eccept for the wind and the animals that was living inside it. He moved with his cat-like body with light steps in the direction off the noise he was very curious on what it could be even if it could be dangerous..
After a while he walked more slow and sniffed a little in the air now there was some strange smells too, maybe humans? he walked closer and he was right there where two humans resting in the grass infront off him..

Summer Jessamin was so wrapped up in her new found 'big sister' that she nearly jumped out of her skin in surprise when there was hot horse breath suddenly coming down from above her. She had *not* been expecting a Soquili to come out of the forest. No, not at all.
