I have watched many TV adaptations of plays. I preferred them online because I did not have to deal with big crowds. I could just watch it by myself or with my friends.

I have not attended any professional drama performances. The last play I read would have to be Romeo and Juliet. I have gone to some high school musical plays in the past. My favorite would be Guys and Dolls. I have not yet attended an Opera or Ballet. I have watched the Movie Romeo and Juliet which was a play / musical adaptation starting Leonardo DiCaprio.

• Have you ever attended a professional drama performance? Which type of drama was it (play, opera, musical, dance)? I have never attended a play or musical. I would love to soon and I think after this semester taking this class I will analyze and understand different aspects of it better. • What is the last play you read? Did you enjoy it? I read Romeo and Juliet in High School. I really do not remember much about the main parts. I did enjoy reading it. • Have you ever seen a musical drama? What type of musical was it? Do you enjoy musicals? I have not seen a musical drama. • What is your experience with opera and ballet? I have not seen opera or ballet unfortunately • Have you watched a film / TV adaptation of a play? Which format did you enjoy most, and why? I have not. I do enjoy watching movies and hopefully I will get to experience watching a play in a movie that I saw. That would be awesome. WC - 175

I don’t have a lot of experience with operas and ballet in general other than taking ballet when I was four years old. However, I do remember enjoying it! As for the opera, the only instance where I really encounter it is when listening to the radio in the car. Though the singing sounds very pretty.

The last play that I read was Chicago. I enjoyed it and found it pretty entertaining. We read it in my twelfth English class and after that we watched the movie. There was also a play at my school that I went to go see. That was my first time going to a play at my high school and I found it interesting. It was something different to try.

Chicago was a musical and while they're not necessarily my favorite, I can still appreciate them. I do find them pretty interesting and entertaining. However, something about musicals never seems that serious to me. Like for example Chicago was about murder but them breaking into song kind of gave it a light hearted vibe. I feel like no matter what the topic is, it will never seem serious in a musical.

I don't have any experience with opera or ballet but growing up it has always seemed boring to me. I couldn’t understand why people found opera or ballet but especially opera to be entertaining. However now that I’m older I have more of a curiosity about it and I would really like to try going to a show at least once just for the experience.

In most cases I say that the written version is always better than the film because you get to use your imagination. However, when it comes to plays, I’ve always found it more interesting to watch the film version just because the actors really bring it to life. Rather than just reading each character’s part on your own.

yes, I have attended a professional drama. my mom always brings my sister and me to Broadway to see all types of plays. The last play I read was Romeo and Juliet, which I did not like. I did not enjoy how they both died. Some musical plays I've seen were Hamilton, Beetlejuice, frozen, Aladdin, Mean Girls, and others. I enjoyed all the plays I've seen because it is live and I can see and admire how talented all the people who are in it are. I have no experience in opera or ballet. I have not watched a film or TV adaptation of a play. cat_rofl

What is your experience with opera and ballet?
I don't have any experience with opera and ballet and I don't know a lot about it but I know that both are very powerful types of art. Ballet is beautiful and tells a story in a calm way and opera tells a story through singing and dancing. I would love to see both of them live!

Have you watched a film / TV adaptation of a play? Which format did you enjoy most, and why?
Yes I have. I have watched Alice in the wonderland and Romeo and Juliet. I enjoyed both of them. I believe I like to watch the plays rather than read them its more enjoyable for me because of all the imagery and the settings.

The last play I read was Romeo and Juliet in 9th grade and Macbeth in 11th grade. Romeo and Juliet I enjoyed the actual play over the book and for Macbeth it was ok.
