"You think so?" Shannon asked, staring over into Boones eyes. "I told Jack about everything, well I told him that you were the father." Shannon smiled a little and looked away.

He gave her another smile. When he saw her look away, he squeezed her hand reassuringly.

Shanon chuckled. "Yeah, he knew I was lying when I said it was Brian and I could tell it.." She smiled at Boone. "What would Sabrina say about this?" She shook her head and burst out in laughter after a few moments.

Jack heard Shannon's laughter echo throughout the caves. It heightened his spirits to hear it. Jack heard a distant rumble of thunder. He decided to go outside and sit in the drizzle for a while. Rain had always helped him think. Jack stood up and left the caves. Locke was still perched on the same rock, in the same position. Jack wondered if perhaps the man had turned to stone. He came over and sat by Locke. It was time to try a different approach.
"Boone's condition is improving, John. It looks like you were wrong. I guess this island doesn't have a plan for Boone. At least, not one that involves death," Jack said over the noise of the rain hitting the leaves.
He waited for a reaction from Locke...

Boone laughed.
"Oh well, who cares about what she thinks..right?"
He yawned abit and looked towards the entrence of the cave. He was about to fall asleep, but he wanted to stay with Shannon.

Shannon leaned back a little more, almost laying down. She was finally gonna be able to go to sleep. "G'night Boone." She said quietly, squeezing his hand one last time before she drifted off to sleep.

Boone opened his eyes slowly and looked around. He smiled seeing Shannon was still there. He closed his eyes again and relaxed abit more. He was so happy to see how things had turned with Shannon. It was way better than he could have ever expected.
