The boy had repeated this pattern for four days now...His swords planted in the ground..And his head lightly lowered.
It was hardly a comfortable resting position...But he always looked at the ready..Always on the verge of a fight...
And, when a pixie moved over to try to strike him..To push him over.
"I'm AWAKE!' he called, whipping the swords out of the ground, and filleting the pixie in just as many moments. He paused for a second, slumped, and then stood tall.

Minori Koroko  Finally, she had been able to sleep. After three days, she had been able to let her guard down enough to relax inside the Police Station, surrounding by the people she cared about. She had helped Dojima a little with the food rationing, and she had spent some time with Nanako, answering innocent questions the girl had had --is his hair really that color? Can I touch it? It looks like cotton candy.-- and laughing lightly like she hadn't done since this madness began. Then...they had lied down in their little cot and she had cuddled close to Genji, whispering little words before sleep took her.
The girl shifted on her sleep, bringing closer to her chest the 'pillow' her arms had wrapped around so tightly. A little contented sigh escaped the girl's lips. This was nice...so nice, and for a moment the fights and stress and fear were shoved back to her subconscious. Her mind though, almost as if knowing it was time to return to reality, urged the girl to wake up. And her green eyes fluttered open, met by the berry colored curls she loved so much. "Hey..." Her voice was hazy, lower than usual, but her smile was still bright, if a little sleepy still. It was then that she noticed how closely she held his arm, releasing it with a low, sheepish chuckle. "Sorry for keeping you trapped here. You could have woken me, you know..."

 Nix Gallen Nix had been resting in the Police Station, finding it to me one of the safest places to be during this hard time. Genji, Minori, and even Nanako were there as well. Having Detective Dojima there too made things feel just a little more safe, he seemed able to stay calm during all this. After assisting the others take down the strange fly-like demon, she was too tired to venture out when 'Hel' was roaming about. Though rumor had it that someone had taken her out with some assistance.. So her rest was soon interrupted when her phone had received a minor bounty from Obelyn. There was no reason to turn it down after all he was doing for everyone, even if he was admitting he was doing this for his own gain as well. Compared to Lucifer and Loki, he seemed like the best possible option..
"I'll be right outside.." She announced before leaving the police station, finding that the bounty wasn't that far away. She took care of it as fast as she could, that way it wouldn't cause damage to the station.. "Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"He didn't know exactly how to interpret the Wolf of Ragnarok's words, his actions, or the fact that in two meetings now the two of them had yet to cross blades despite the lingering promise of a fight that continued to be between them. The silver-haired senior had no doubts about the intent behind the promise that had been made by the larger devil, that the two of them were indeed destined to fight one another, but then if his goal was to kill Soji and the other humans who got in their way, why would he go out of his way to avoid that fight until an appointed time? Why would he speak to him? Wander around the town and visit his home and avoid the confrontation that was basically inevitable? All that he could guess was that there was some code at work, an honor that the Wolf would not break despite the standing differences in allegiance between them. But if they were truly enemies, then why didn't he sense any real animosity from him when they spoke beyond that of a Lord perhaps speaking to a servant or a man of a lower station? It was not a true hatred, not from what he could glean from their conversation, and yet they were doomed to fight? For what reason?
No matter how Soji considered the situation, though, he couldn't quite figure it all out. There were still pieces of that puzzle missing, just as there were pieces of the current mystery he was trying to solve absent that he needed to gather before he could understand where they were and what happened to his family. They weren't at home, but the Wolf had just left with some supplies...was he looking to deliver them to someone? Certainly not a demon, as they wouldn't need clothes, a bag...a toy? It was an odd combination. Perhaps there was someone...just by some chance...a human that he was protecting? And if that was the case, perhaps the fact that he had come to this home...this specific home...was significant?

Amagai Genji, the Investigation Team's Gentle Fist
"...You see the surface, but my eyes see more..."It was a comfort to know that he wasn't alone. To awaken with someone in your arms, to speak with multiple friends and people you knew in the morning, and to see familiar faces wherever you turned. Even if his family had...there were still people who loved him in this Police Station, people whom he could consider his own family, such as Nix, Nanako, Dojima...and foremost, of course, was Minori. He brushed a finger softly over one of the blonde locks of hair tracing over her forehead and moved it gently aside from her eyes, spotting the fluttering emerald orbs just as they drifted open...meeting her sleepy-headed gaze with a soft kiss to the forehead, reminding her that he was here...that they were together. And just how he felt about her as well...he never wanted her to forget that. Her small chuckle, her hazy tone made him smile all over again, and the thought that he was still getting to see new sides of her, new reactions, new faces, new feelings when he was with her made him feel warm again. Although that just as easily could have been his arm held tight by her until at last she sheepishly let it go, leading to him gently rolling his arm before using it to pull her close into one more hug before gently raising himself out of the cot slowly.
"I was enjoying watching you sleep too much to disturb you," he told her with a faint curl at the corner of his lips, helping her stand slowly but not yet releasing her entirely as his hand fell to hers, keeping it gently within his own, "Gallen-senpai is already outside fighting, however. I believe we should get to work soon, before Dojima-san needs us for a different task later." He spoke somewhat vaguely, smiling as he turned towards the door and began to stretch slowly...only realizing halfway through a triceps stretch that he hadn't been entirely clear, prompting him to smirk faintly over his shoulder as he did so.
"You wish to find him today, yes?" he asked her rhetorically, their intentions for the day already aligned perfectly...yet another thing they shared, he was certain, "Soji-senpai...as soon as we are prepared, the hunt begins."Quote: 36 Tokens

She had already been inside once before, but the feeling of unease was still as strong as ever. I'm just going in to grab a few things... She told herself, entering and quickly walking to her room to grab as many salvageable personal belongings as she could possibly find and carry before leaving; immediately heading back to Okina.

Nix Gallen Nix began her search in Downtown Inaba, hoping to find some sort of clue to where the others were and if they were safe. Though she was taking quite the risk with a giant monster snake roaming about.. Luckily, for now it was just a group of minor demons. A pain to deal with but easier to face instead of a foe of that caliber.. They mentioned something about an assembly for .. Nihilo? After she and her demons managed to fight them off, she gained part of a digital code. What it was for? Well Nix had no idea but held onto it in hopes of figuring that out.. Nix Gallen Nix finally got to take a breather but only because the surrounding demons all fled in terror. Maybe they saw her as a threat? Well that theory was very short lived as she saw why they had run away. The person on the bounty had ventured into the area, looking just as angry as in the photo.. "At least he isn't a snake yet.. Maybe he won't kill me." The silverette was about to run when she realized this was a chance to try and talk him into stopping what he was doing! If he decided to stop aiding Loki then there would no reason for anyone to hunt him down! "U-Um.. Excuse me, Sir..? Can I talk to you.. for a moment?" "The ******** you want, Whitecap?" A sharp tongue but she wasn't dead yet so this was good so far. " I.. I was just wondering if um.. Is it possible for you to um.. stop?" "No. Any other brainbusters? Or are we done with the questions?" Well he was rather blunt wasn't he? This wouldn't be easy at all. "But why are you doing all this anyway?" "You ever try saying 'No' to a Trickster God, Minnie Mouse? Spoiler Alert - you don't. Especially when he's your old man. Now scram, Girline! Before I get hungry and eat you like an appetizer." Nix did as instructed and left the area before he did decide to eat her. Though the teen made a decision, she would find a way to make him change sides or stop the mayhem at the very least. He was only doing this because Loki told him so.. He was out to become the new ruler and all. The only option was to make the World Serpent listen to her somehow.. She was only briefly interrupted by a demon trying to get the jump on her, which Okuninushi took care of swiftly.
