Sage watched as Esme's eyes revealed when his mind had turned from the present moment, likely distracted by thought- whether it had done so from their conversation of something else vague. The pale skinned male sipped from his cup, his eyes passing back to the window as more people shuffled by. It looked a bit frigid out there, though hopefully not so much that his jacket wouldn't provide efficient protection from the elements. Tuning in to the French dialogue replied to him, the mushi curiously inclined his ear. "Canadien-français? Vous êtes en provenance du Canada, peut-être? Ou est-ce seulement le dialecte que vous avez choisi d'apprendre?"'French-Canadian? Are you from Canada, perhaps? Or is that just the dialect you chose to learn?' He asked, though soon he would settle back on English to keep from switching languages too constantly. If they weren't alone here in the shop, he'd suspect a lot of strange looks would be coming their way. People seemed to stare if you didn't speak strictly in a language they themselves understand.
The amusement in his eyes gleamed over at the older male, the CEO covering his mouth as he laughed. "Ah! I was thinking it'd be a waste if you've truly never been photographed. Are you are a career model?" He asked, trying to calm his laughing down as the bluenette covered his face. A clumsy model, absolutely adorable! Sage was simply enchanted by the image. "Don't let it bother you, everyone does something embarrassing at those things." He encouraged, or so he tried. Models should come in all shapes and sizes, so it was only good that Esme had been to a few shoots. "I'm glad to meet someone with similar body proportions to myself that has modeled. I was thinking to try it myself, but fund it discouraging to an extent. He offered of himself, suddenly noticing Esme hadnt at all touched his order. "Ah...Aren't you thirsty?" He motioned to the other cup on the table. Iced tea on a cold day.
Two other people walked into the shop, a brunette female and a blue haired male- both taller than Esme and himself. A couple, perhaps? Couple of friends- couple of likely strangers. But none of his business. He glanced them both as they crossed the store, blinking before resuming the previous subject. "It's quite alright, I hear it more often then I can count. People who learn my age usually question my authority, so I'm mostly grateful when people perceive me as older than I am." As he expounded, he finished his drink and placed each item neatly to the side of the table most easily reached by the staff. Someone should come to retrieve them, or so he assumed. Esme's initial reaction felt like his own, shocked and tickled. Besides, there was no benefit to being easily offended, and he was enjoying himself otherwise.

Tyrese meandered along the sidewalk, inspecting the empty streets and the fall of shadows on the wayside. He liked this time best for jogging around the neighborhood, though now he used it to be at work. In early, out early. Getting off at ten AM or so, the wolf could usually do some shopping or hit the gym before picking up Sela from school and heading back to Aubrey’s in the early afternoon. The arrangement worked best for all he had to juggle, and he liked it this way. Stretching and texting his employees, he scheduled someone who could trade their off day with him as he strolled carefully along. Aubrey had the answer to his question as they came down the street Moonbucks was on, the wolf cocking his head as he listened. He had considered that these things would always be vastly difficult to answer, no matter how hard one tried. The best way he expressed his perspective was with his books, though he’d never written to convey being a wolf. He wondered if he should try?
Afterall, he was inclined to ask the brunette what part of music she thought being her was like, and in what way. She made him think of the poem he wrote on the back of the CD especially burned for her, a smile coming to his lips as he nodded. If being her was like music flitting to its self determined beat, then he’d label that as accurate to her personality. The wolf held his arm for the door, letting the expectant mother in entirely before slipping out of the doors radius and approaching the counter. His eyes hazed somewhere afar off, his thumb thoughtfully stroking his lips. But for water to be life and death? The wolf frowned, trying to draw some contrast that would clarify the metaphor. No...when he shifted, it never felt comparable to that. He was never afraid to shift; in fact, he felt powerful- like a beam of the sun riding on a surf of light or like electricity through a powerline.
Sighing through his nose, the smell of sugar brought the author to, though he scowled briefly at the menu. Did he want anything? He thought maybe not, though he retrieved his wallet to pay their tab as his navy orbs narrowed on the displayed text. ”Just tea for me, with milk.” He added, holding out his card for the cashier to take. He wasn’t big on sweets unless it involved oreos. There were rare exceptions back in highschool, though sweets now were the ones he baked for others. Taking back his card once it’d been scanned, he replaced everything into his bag and let his gaze search the facility. It was pretty bare, and he noticed one familiar face to which he smiled and waved. Esme, was it? From a few weeks ago. ”Alright, Sugar Drop, you got your sweets. Where to next?’

It was a lot of fun to speak in French and he did so love the language, but Esme decided to switch back to English for his response all the same. Most people that he had encountered in Soleil City were much more comfortable with English, so he made a habit of using that language most of the time. ”Yes, I was originally born in Vietnam, but I was much too young then to remember that. I spent most of my life in Canada. Our neighbors are all very friendly, but some of them speak French much more comfortably than they do English. It seemed like a good idea to learn the language to better get along with them. It helps my parents as well; they are not as fluent as I am. I am used to hearing it at home, but I was a little surprised to hear it here.” Esme admitted. The man before him really did seem very accomplished and mature; Esme would even go so far as to say it was the kind of person that he tried to be. He didn’t think he was quite there, though!
When asked if he was a career model, Esme shook his head sheepishly. ”I got into it more as a hobby and I really enjoy it, but music is my real passion. It is really interesting, though. Looking at the photos afterward, it always feels like I am looking at a complete stranger. I look so elegant… nothing at all like I really am.” Esme was always embarrassed by how clumsy he was, but he took some comfort from Sage’s assertion that everyone did something embarrassing at shoots. He wasn’t wrong; Esme had seen more than his fair share of missteps and clothing malfunctions. He didn’t even like to ever put on heels unless he was sitting! Fortunately for him, males didn’t have to wear them nearly as often as the female models. Esme perked up excitedly at the thought of Sage modeling. ”Oh, you should definitely try it at least once! I bet you would be amazing at it. Oh… my drink… I have been a little distracted.” Esme admitted with a smile before sipping at the iced tea. He really enjoyed the cold drink, even when it was cool outside, but he enjoyed talking to Sage more.
The shop door opened and Esme glanced over curiously to see a beautiful, pregnant woman enter ahead of a familiar male. It took a brief moment, but Esme smiled as he remembered Fiddle’s Gym where he had seen that face before. Was the woman his wife or girlfriend, perhaps? They were definitely a striking looking couple. Esme gave a wave of his own before turning his attention back to Sage who had mentioned others questioning his authority because of his age. Esme looked over Sage curiously, head tilted to one side. ”Question your authority… What is it that you do? It must be pretty important; you definitely seem like someone who could handle authority well.”

As the man slid a small package with "Moonbucks Cafe" swirled over the front end in a pale yellow, she flipped her purse over her shoulder, shifting through the contents and unzipping the top hidden pocket just below the scrunched opening seam. The rope fabric was soft against her fingers, but rough enough to tell her where each and every strand was cross hatched with another. She slipped her hand over the unfamiliar plastic slip, rough with digits she had memorized months ago but now felt foreign to her mind. She hadn't been oblivious to the confused and perplexed looks he had been giving her over her advice of what it was like to be herself. How else could she say it? She lifted her head, brushing a curl back along her ear, opening her mouth, and promptly clamming it shut with a frustrated puff of her cheeks. "Hey!" She prodded him gently with her elbow, shoving her card back into her purse. She had wanted to treat him today! She grasped her hand around the cup, sliding it towards herself and turning to drum her fingers on the edge of the counter while waiting for his drink. "Across the way, not too far from here I think. But cut it out! It's my treat today. I have money to blow and if I want it to be on someone, it's going to be you." She jabbed a pointer finger at him, lifting it from the protective cardboard of the medium sized thin, plastic cup. "It's not far from here." Her gaze followed the short wave towards a stranger in the shop, glancing over towards another male. And although she didn't know the man - though it seemed Tyrese may have - she offered a warm smile towards him, turning back on her heel to face the door.
"You've done so much for me already. Let me do this one day for you, at least." Her nose lifted towards the air, getting in one last whiff of sweets before she was pushing the door open again. There was a single metallic ringing from the speakers above, and she was heading out the door, holding it open until the blunette could head after her. "But-" She took a sip, quickly retracting at the realization of how heated the drink was. "Imagine..." Another pause as she prodded over the question. What could she say? "Water is a required source of life throughout the entire Earth." She pursed her lips, setting into what might have been called a "teaching mode" for those who had had her in the past in Koizora. Her eyes wandered elsewhere and she was distant for a moment. "We, as humans-" There was a quick gaze back to him, then forward again, the peek of a smile on her lips. "- or in our human forms, are at least 70% water. Without water, we die. Animals, plants, etcetera." She waved the drink, her arm flailing with the cardigan close behind. It waved from the breeze, flowing back behind her with each arm raise. "But when you think water, naturally we think the ocean, which is about 75% of the Earth's coverage." She flitted her glance back towards him, pulling open another door once she made her way about half a block or so. The next store looked pensive compared to the others around her, dark and shrouded with candles in the front window. "But what is everyone's number one fear of water?"

Tyrese blinked to the side where the brunette was standing as she exclaimed some kind of displeasure, cocking his head at the light jab towards his side. "What?...Oh." He corrected, chuckling briefly as he realized he'd been quicker to pay the attendant. It was only five or seven dollars, not something he thought was a big deal. Besides, he liked doing things for people; a good reason he enjoyed working in hospitality. The wolf only pursed his lips and shifted his gaze back to the menu as he picked out the flavor of tea he wanted, further pulling his lips to one side and rocked on his feet from toe to heel. He didn't really want to have any money blown on him, he was well taken care of outside of his mental/emotional state. "It's fine." He assured her, taking the beverage that was his and leaving a tip in the jar on the counter. He should have thought forward and grabbed a granola bar from the house. Oh well.
Sighing quietly, the man laid his gaze on the woman, debating how straightforward he should be. "Thanks, but I don't really-" He didn't want, or need to be repaid, if that was her goal. He'd only been wanting to see her recover her old self- and he maybe even wanted to make up for withholding information about Finn. "After everything you stuck with me through, that stuff was only scratching the surface of the things I want to do for you." He retorted, proceeding with some caution in mind. He wanted to be careful to stay enstranged from the thinking he'd found himself with two weeks back; they were friends and that's all. Although, he did bite his tongue to add 'if your husband is okay with that.' It was still a sore spot and he wasn't sure what she planned to do about Finn; not even Finn, about her marriage. Mentally shaking his head when he heard the bell above the door, the wolf shuffled through the exit shortly behind Aubrey.
"Drowning." He hummed, hanging his thumbs on his belt loops as they traveled several stores down. Who had never feared drowning before? He'd once had a terror fueled month of nightmares when he fell into the pool back when he was four. If his mother hadn't been so quick- Tyrese stopped in the doorway of the next store, pulling back an extra step as his eyebrows pulled together in concern. "Um..." He wasn't a witchcraft kinda guy. Even if he wasn't expressly religious, he more or less belived in God and avoided this stuff. And if this place didn't spell 'cult' he wasn't sure what else even could. "What's this for, then?" He frowned, eyeing the woman and questioning the casualty with which she entered the store.

So Esme had gone from Vietnam to Canada, and was not vacationing in this small city here in California. Sage almost felt good to meet someone foreign and capable of speaking multiple languages. He wasn't sure how many even vaguely culture people lived in this city. Nodding thoughtfully to himself, the mushi recalled that he'd never traveled to Canada before. "It's surprising for the both of us. Do you also speak Vietnamese? I assume that may be your parent's first language." He inquired, sating his interest while the conversation was there. If the bluenette planned on returning home, it was likely that once he did, they wouldn't meet again. Even if Esme did visit again, Sage often traveled between major cities and wasn't often home himself. That was a good reason, in his book, to venture into almost any ground he could think to.
Music? Sage had no expectations, but the reply was still oddly surprising to him. He supposed he could see it though, from the short conversation this had been. "Do you sing, produce, or play?" He inquired, trying not to overwhelm the male with more questions than he could answer and have oppruntunity to enjoy to his drink along side. There was so much to learn about a person, sometimes a lifetime couldn't teach you everything. Sage wasn't always big on making friends, but he liked people just the same. "Also-" He chuckled warmly, "No camera can bring out somethings that's not already there. It's simply a medium through which beauty is expressed. I certainly think everyone should participate in a photos of at least one, just to see what they have inside them." He hummed and shrugged, finishing his cappuccino and reaching for a napkin to assure his face and hands were clean. "Aha! Well thank you, even if I don't have the same opinion myself." He felt he may be a tab bit overcontrolling to relax for good pictures, but they would see.
Looking up at the two people from before breezed back out of the exit, Sage cocked his head and waved his hand dismissively at Esme's assumption. "I'm not important at all, I iust have a higher corporate position than most people think a guy my age could earn." He explained, the slightest hint of a sour tone in his voice over the subject. People were that way, thinking you didn't know much because you were young. The absolute worst were those who thought they could do a better job or intimidate you. He simply hated that. Clearing his throat, he expounded further. "I'm C.E.O of a multi-branded company called Prince. Prince cosmetics, Prince BDSM, etcetera. It's only been around for a decade, but it's been doing well to gain some ground. I began an internship there the year it opened and worked my way up." That controlling ancient genie that he wanted to strangle but love nonetheless was the hardest to win over. Sage was only so competent because he'd been alive just as long- if not longer.

But he supposed it was a little later in the day. He looked on the menu trying to figure out what exactly he wanted. Coffee. He wanted coffee but some food wouldn't hurt. Some cake or.. Cheese cake. Oh god he loved cheese cake and hadn't had it in so long! He wondered if they had strawberry cheese cake. He went up to the counter and ordered. The cashier typed it into the stores register and told him how much money he owed. $6.35. He pulled out his wallet and handed over a 10 dollar bill. "Out of a ten." He muttered. The cashier gave him his change back and he waited for his coffee and cheesecake. The two said their goodbye's and wished each other a good day and Casey left the store hopping back on his skateboard and riding to work. [Exit]☄ ~ ★`✰

~✰`★ ~ ☄Casey stopped in front of the door and kicked up his board. This triggered the thought of how silly it must seem to people, a man who's almost thirty to be using a skateboard to get around, but he didn't have the money for a car and ever since he got in an accident 10 years back they've kind of freaked him out. Either way and picked up his board and opened the door for Sahar, letting him enter first. Casey gladly greeted the smell of brewing coffee and sweets. Though, if he were being completely honest he liked his own coffee better, or his own anything better. He felt it was healthier and more efficient but he didn't mind that much as long as he didn't look at the nutrition facts then it should be fine. He walked with Sahar into the cafe and looked up at the menu, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose to optimize sight. He wasn't really 100% on what he wanted, he looked over to Sahar, "So, have any idea what you want or would you like to sit and ponder about it for a moment?" Case asked, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips.☄ ~ ★`✰

Once Casey started off Sahar followed behind him on his bike. He could have always floated, but he hadn't gotten tired of riding his new bike yet. Before long the stopped at a little cafe, which, as Casey had said, had a bike rack outside of it. He took a moment to park his bike before heading inside, thanking his new friend as he held to the door.
Before even taking a look at the menu Sahar already knew he liked the place. The atmosphere was calming and the smell of fresh coffee and baked goods wafted through the air. He would have to try his best to remember where this place was! When they approached the counter the smile that had slipped onto his face disappeared, his eyebrows knitting together in confusion as one particular thing caught his interest.
He was still trying to make heads or tails of the item when Casey spoke. Sahar glanced from him to the menu, his expression turning bashful before he asked what was on his mind. "I know what I want, however...This might be a bit silly to ask, but what is a 'cheesecake'? It is not actually made of cheese, is it...?" With his question out in the open he felt even more embarrassed and he could feel his face heating up. "I-I do not want to try it, I was just wondering. Anyway, I want a medium black coffee and a muffin." He continued quickly, as it changing the subject might make his question disappear.

His attention was drawn to Sahar as he asked about cheesecake, Casey gave him a weird look. He wasn't too surprised he didn't know but ,maybe a little surprised. His mouth tugged into a smile. "No no, it's not made of actual cheese." He said, taking this moment to memorize the red in Sahars check, maybe fawn over it for a moment. "It's made out of cream cheese, it's pretty okay. I like it others would disagree." He explained, being as non judgemental as possible, which was easy. ""Medium black coffee and a muffin, sounds good you get us some seats I'll order." Casey said and went up to the corner like he did not to long ago. He ordered two coffee's, a medium and a large, and two muffins. He owed $9.35 and he paid with a 10, tossed his change into his pocket and walked down the counter to wait for their drinks and muffins.☄ ~ ★`✰

The look Casey gave him certainly did make him feel more confident about his question. He knew it would be odd, but there were still things that were new to him about this place: mostly desserts. There might have been cheesecake back where he lived, but Sahar had never been big on sweets to begin with. Thankfully, Casey didn't say anything about his question other than answering it. The cake was made out of cream cheese, not actual cheese. It still sounded weird, but he would save further questions for his coworkers. Integra and Seth were bound to know about it, seeing as they were chefs.
"I see. Thank you." He hummed, still curious about the dessert. "Okay. Tell me how much it is and I will pay you back." With that, he left to find them a table. Which wasn't too hard, since it wasn't very crowded. Sahar settled down at a table for two near the window so he could crowd watch while waiting. There were so many different types of races in the town, it was nice to see what kinds of people passed by.

He felt a small smile creep onto his face, funny how things we're working out. Who would have guessed mowing someone down with your skateboard would gain you a friend. He looked down at his hands, the heels of his hands looked a little purple, meaning they'd bruise up later but honestly he didn't really care. "Give him the coffee and leave, I don't want to be here." Pedri said, his voice low but demanding. "This serves no purpose to my goal. I am with you for a reason." Casey rolled his eyes and thanked the barista for their drinks and muffins and muttered a quiet, "Well that sucks." Under his breath. He walked over to Sahar, he wasn't about to let Pedri make him any more angry than he already is. He set Sahars coffee and muffin in front of him and sat across from the male. Aside from getting run over, today was turning out pretty good. Sahar was enjoying it, at least. He wasn't too sure what he would do after this, but wandering around couldn't hurt. He certainly wouldn't mind spending time with his new friend! He was still thinking about what the day might bring with Casey returned with their order. "Thank you! l want to pay you back. It was nice of you to invite me out so it is the least I can do." He insisted as he pulled out his wallet and counted out the money he owed, handing it to Casey with a smile.
With that settled, he took a sip of his coffee, humming quietly at the taste. It had been a while since he had a good cup of freshly brewed coffee. Sahar did have instant coffee at his house but it wasn't the same. He took another sip before glancing up at the brunet. "If I may ask, how long have you had troubles sleeping? If it is an ongoing occurrence I might be able to help; my father taught me how to make natural remedies for basic ailments."
It was straight to the point, but no one ever said Sahar was a tactful man. Even if they hadn't known each other long he wanted to help Casey. He supposed it was a habit from helping his father with his store.

He didn't want anyone else falling on his accord. He paid attention to his coffee now, taking of the lid to inspect the color, it was light brown like melted caramel or brown sugar. His took a long sip of the coffee opening his eyes and looking at Sahar as he spoke. He thought about it for a while. "Well, it started my second year of high school so maybe like, 11 years ago." "I'll be down to try your remedies and all but, I kind of like it, or maybe I've just gotten so used to it over time that I've convinced myself I like it," He shrugged.
