What kind of format should games be done in?
  Games that are played slowly and casually over longer periods of time
  Scheduled games, perhaps done in phases, where all players come online together for an hour or so and take turns together

Okay, so game 4 people, I got nothing, so I'll tell you what I've crunched so far.

Mihira, if you get hit by the Thunder mage, you've got a 40% chance of dying. Your HP tends to make up for it, but I still wouldn't bet on those odds. Seth, you've got 70%. Vika can soak up the attacks from the mages, and only the mages, if she had full health. (45% chance of dying now, 15% chance at full health) I don't know how many times I can gripe about Leena not trading people Vulneraries earlier like she was asked to before it makes a difference, because it sure as hell would be nice now!

But the problem is that those mages put one hell of a kink into the plan. So the only strategy I have is run. Run for your ******** life. People need to get out of range of the mages, and the first space to do that is 19. Except 19 is a trap, so Vika and Mihira need to retreat the hell back to 15. Shinon, Seth, and Rin should get to 14. This has the added advantage of using the trap on 19 to damage the fighter and the myrmidon if they follow us. Rin can eat an attack from the mages, because the most damage I could feasibly see her taking is 10. (They can kill her, but they only have a 1% chance of both doing so.) This comes with a risk, because at maximum distance Fire can touch 14 with Tomefaire and Thunder can touch 15, both doing a minimum of 10 damage to their effective unit.

Seth should attempt to help either Vika or Shinon via Canto if they don't roll enough to escape. Leena might wander up to 12 at the furthest so people can mug her for Vulneraries. If you have more than what you're holding in your convoy, get them out.

tl;dr: Run. Everyone needs at least a 3 on their move to get back to safety. If you don't roll a 3, then you're going to die. There's no way around it. Roll a 3 to move or you're dead.


I was going to suggest a plan of running like a pack of cowards because retreat=life. So yeah, I'm okay with this. Anyways, by me helping you mean rescuing right? Yeah should be no problem there. I just need to not roll a 3. Anyways, may RNGesus be with us all, for it's time to RUN FOR THE HILLS.

Game 3:

Since the dark mages didn't move, and the necromancer didn't do anything, I'm led to believe that if we don't attack the dark mages, he won't start Miring us. So how do we proceed?

We could start attacking and trigger him using Mire on us, just to get it out of the way, which could be tricky. Or, we could just ignore the dark mages and go straight for the necromancer, since we can attack him without being in mire range. Actually, I'm going to try Talking first. However, there's still things we want to do on this map.

Aruna has a vulnerary if she gets attacked and she can keep Tiki and I healed fairly well. I doubt the dark mages will do much to Tiki, either. So attacking might be the safer option? Although, Annis and Ganon would be left waiting for 5 more turns, which isn't fair.

Would light runes work on the boss? I was just kinda thinking that might help if we were going to try to talk to the necromancer.

I think trying to trigger mire would be our best bet even if it mean killing a dark mage. Tiki deserves some exp too. The sooner we get that out of the way the sooner we can regroup and I can start healing everybody before we swoop in on the boss and Annis or someone with the chest key can get us some sweet loot.

Light runes would work on him, and Talk would be the only thing we could do while the rune is up.

By all means, go ahead and attack the dark mages. Tiki needs the expies anyway.
