Prom was...different. But it did seem as though almost everyone had come to it, and so maybe this was to be expected. At least the food was delicious, and he did manage to sneak a few items onto Alexander's plate, trying to chose items that were already there so Alexander might just think that he had lost count. He tried to watch the dancing, but it just looked like a confused mass to him more than anything else. It almost seemed that everyone was doing their own thing, so perhaps it was like styles of fighting.

He tried his best not to grimace at the thought of where he had obtained the suit. It had technically been easy to obtain, but it had certainly not been fun. "Miss Daniella's mother wished to go shopping," he stated flatly. "I do not know that I made the correct choice though." She had seemed so disappointed after all, though in reality if he had managed to please her it would have been even more shocking.

Ack-! While walking over to the punch, Levi was checked right in the poof. Rather, she was body checked in the poof of her dress by a poof. Levi recognized the well-dressed gentlemanly boil, providing a smile and raising her tail as she turned to greet him.

Well, how'd'y a like that! Aye thar, Jove! As the ghostly boil had done, Levi flickered her mask upward for a moment, giving Jove a wink, and flipping it back down to keep things customary to the theme. Was it a bad idea to remove ones mask at a masquerade? She hoped Jove would follow suit as to not test this theory.

Been 'a coon's age since I last saw ya'. Reckon 'bout this time last year, now that I'm thinkin' 'bout it, kekeke. Levi didn't bend down or talk in a particularly different way. To her, Jove was a strong boil undercover as a quiet type. As always, the tatzel believed Jove to be a prime example, like Xiu, that size and appearance where not the bases by which someone should choose their opponents. If Levi fought with Jove in the arena, it would be the white-haired ghoul giving him everything she had. You been trainin' any? Seem 'lot bulkier than before. More muscle 're somethin'. Mighty sleek fit in that thar suit, boil.

Nukpana was feeling similarly to the Death priestess, although for completely different reasons. The crowded hall was making him uneasy as well, muscles beneath the suit jacket coiling as he tensed, eyeing the occupants of the room that he didn't know and couldn't recognize. Where he had once been familiar with a good majority of the student population, new arrivals, it seemed, were in the majority now, the slew of fresh students completely alien to him. The school's population, once small and close-knit, had multiplied exponentially, and he felt lost within it, like he had stumbled into a new school entirely. So few familiar faces dotted the crowd, a flash of someone he thought he knew in the corner of his eye (had that been Shehk and Jericho?) disappearing as soon as he flicked his eyes in that direction, swept away into the undulating pack of bodies swaying with the music. Not a year before, he had been running this same event, assisted by a few members of the student body who had shown interest -- he'd spiked the punch bowl, stolen the mic, and had announced the Prom Court. He'd moved through the crowd of students amiably, at least recognizing the majority of people there, if not calling them friends outright.

He didn't belong anymore.

What was he doing here? What did he hope to accomplish, coming back to Amityville, much less to Prom? Had he hoped to pick back up where he had left off, slip back into the social circles he had once had a place in, as if nothing had happened?

The skinwalker was so distracted, he nearly didn't notice the other dark shape skirting the wall, nearly as shadowesque as himself, if not more so. Her skin was dark, not in the way his own was, but black like midnight, easily blending into the shadows. Her dress, too, was ebony but for the gold and silver adornments, which caught the light as they arced and whirled lazily around the room. Unlike him, however, she bore a certain elegance about her, not just in her dress but in her mannerisms as well, one which suggested the ghoul was often dressed lavishly, or at least respectably. Nuk couldn't recognize her either -- she must have joined Amityville sometime after his disappearance. A demon, perhaps? She seemed too sophisticated to be a monster, although by her skin he wondered if perhaps she wasn't related to Siddie. It was at that point that she tilted her head a little at him, her own glowing regard focusing with the same curiosity.

Most others would have felt a little embarrassed, to be caught staring, but he had never been that type. Certainly not now. Continuing to watch her unabashedly for a moment, the skinwalker finally pushed away from the wall, approaching slowly until he was a mere few feet away, upon which point he bowed a little stiffly. "Miss," he rumbled a greeting, his voice rough and gravelly. It seemed the proper thing to do.

Mei could of kept on dancing all night if she wanted to. She had to keep catching herself from leaning her head against Eisheth's chest as they moved about the dance floor in a little circle. But it would of been silly to stay out there all night and she was sure her date would probably get tired of just dancing.

As the song ended she took a step back, grasping her skirt to hike it up slightly and did a small curtsy in thanks. "Well, most of my undead life." She replied as she straightened out her skirt once more. "Though most of it is performance dance. Like jazz or ballet. Toss in a little gymnastics and floor dance and I suppose you build up a familiarity with the basic movement."

The ghoul took Eisheth by the hand as another song started up. This one was a little faster but she wasn't too sure the Horseman was ready for that kind of quick movement yet. Plus she didn't want to wear her out, they still had a lot of time left for the dance.

She instead lead her back over to the tables where there was food set out. Picking up a plate she handed it over to Eisheth. "If you thought the punch and dancing was good now you get to try some of the food. If it looks weird don't be too afraid of trying it. You never know what you might or might not like." Mei winked with a grin as she grabbed herself a plate and began to put small bits of food onto it. She wasn't a big eater but she did like the occasional food now and again. "And uh...if you have any questions about what something is feel free to ask."

Prom.

It was Prom time.

Which meant there was one overly enthusiastic she-wolf ready to go out there and dance the night away. Even if she head to wear a dress. The dress she was growing used to and it was fun how it twirled when she spun. And Ren liked it. That was all she needed right there. However the mask portion...LW still wasn't getting it. And did not like wearing it too much. Of course it was the first time she'd ever attended a masquerade of any sorts before!

"Reeeeen!" She whined. Again. And clung to his arm, staring at the phone that had been out since they left their dorms. With a sigh, the she-wolf snatched it right out of his hands. Gave him a look. And shoved the phone down her dress before twirling on her heel and giggled.

Then all but stopped dead as she entered and got a good look around. It looked amazing! And there were already students out there dancing. And the music was playing and making her skin prickle with excitement.

She looked towards her boilfriend with an expression that was purely LW. Devilish, excited, warm, and loving all at the same time. She was pretty sure that this would be an awesome night because she was here with the best date ever.

"The sparkle looks good on you babe!" He sad, still sprinkling the horribly sparkly stuff down on the ghoul. "Everything looks better with a little sparkle." He gave her a wink, backing up a step to look her up and down. "See? Perfect."

Not that he had room to talk, the boil was radiating glitter any time he moved. A flick of his tail sent more of it off towards any other random unsuspecting victims.

"What do you think?" He said giving a twirl, allowing the sleek fabric to fan out around his lower body. For a boil he ODDLY looked at home in the outfit.

Only did a flutter of movement catch his attention before he was handed three semi larger versions of his own glitter bombs. Looking down at them, and then back to desu, his lips parted to reveal a few pointed canines. "Now thats what im talking about. Hello, Desu. Dont you look marvelous." He commented before tossing some glitter at Desu as well. The ghoul looked adorable anyways, a little more sparkle would not hurt. He pocketed the three objects. (he added pockets to the dress ok)

He would save these three special desu glitter bombs for a special attack.

Moving her hands she slid them just under his shoulders, clasping him tightly. It was closer to a bear hug than anything for a moment, then she released some of the hold and let him lead her along to the music. She never was a dancer, so she was more than welcome to let him do his thing. She was graceful but that came more from being a deer than anything else. Speaking against his chest, she mumbled. "I am ok with this." The ghoul was honestly one whom only needed a few close people in her life. She came from a herd of Perytons that were her family, yet not. She was used to having a few select people to count on. In amity, that list only had Sparrows name on it currently.

"But i would love to meet your friends." She had to kill those rumors right? Wren was actually a person, not a ghost, and the bird had to leave the nest eventually.

"S-speaking of friends. How has Jove been?" She remembered the poor thing hiding under the bed. She wondered if he was here.

Jove was overwhelmingly relieved when Levi showed her face. So relieved he wanted to hug her. It was the first real face he had seen since the night began, not all those crazy not-faces under masks that had him unsettled even before he entered the auditorium. But he held himself back, trying to remember to at least act unafraid.

He didn't understand half of what she was talking about, but what he did helped him forget about his fear. Did she really think he looked bigger? Fluffy ears perked up from where they had been folded down, and a slight glow crossed his cheeks. The pup even stuck his ruffled chest out a little. He had been training! Almost all the time, he had been fighting and studying, and generally focusing on getting stronger. Maybe he should have gone in his new teenager form, that would really have her impressed! But it was bothersome, needing two separate wardrobes for everything...

The pup wagged his tail, and then glanced at West. Much like a puppy wondering who else had treats to give.

Of course Alex didn't really notice that there was any more food on his plate then there had been before. If he did at all wonder why, even though he kept eating, the mass of food on his plate never quite deteriorated, he would probably just consider himself lucky that he had some kind of magic plate that he never had to refill.

If this kept up, though, he was in very real danger of never, ever leaving the refreshment table. And while that might actually be fine, considering how much he loved food and how happy he was just to be in Yin's company, it did sort of defeat the purpose of being at an actual dance. Mind you, at the moment, considering the strange activities going on elsewhere in the room, he might actually be safest here for the time being. Plus the music was still just...really awkwardly slow and while he had no trouble dancing to a song such as the one playing, he did worry that it would go way over the 'public displays of affection' line. Why did Yin have to be so complicated.

"Daniella?" He frowned behind his mask, the name completely foreign to him. Was this a friend of Yin's he'd never met before? And whoever it was, her mother had wished to go shopping, which apparently led to Yin getting a brand new suit..or maybe it was just a rental.

Anyways, it was probably best to try not to think about it too hard, and by the sounds of it, Yin wasn't exactly happy about the situation. Alex gave him a little nudge with his elbow to grab his attention, and gave him a warm smile, " Hey, I already told you that you look great, Yǐn Cáng. Don't make me say it again." Though he already pretty much just did...Well, never mind. Better to say that then to stupidly profess his love again.

"For soothe, brother, I did not intend to take any thunder pertaining to the glitter-bomb idea . . and don't get any strange ideas about touching my facial hair. I think it gives me a sense of class." He stated, lifting his own bombs up, before the Thunder Oni came over to Remi, giving him a few more of her own flavour. The cat-king gave him a little pout, feeling like the odds became in his brother's favour, but dismissed it, turning back to False, who was only a few inches shorter than the terrible two.

"I could complete it a little further for you, False. We have a Giftmas worth of glitterbombs just waiting for people." He offered, leaning against the fire-deity, looking around the building, before casting a soft wave to Amrita - whom he was indebted to for the assistance.

"It's not my first time engulfed in fabric." He offered up, letting his gaze fall back on False and Sharpie. "I'm a performer, I live for the spot-light, I'm surprised you didn't think that, old friend. I'm more surprised that Remi was persuaded so easily in to silk and sheer. I guess you learn a lot about someone when you're rambling about the next awesome thing." With a wink, he gave a shrug.

"Don't let us beautiful ladies dampen your chances at a dance with a pretty miss. I'd love to find someone to waltz with, I admit." Most of those, though, were pre-occupied with their dates.

Oh, the trials of going stag.

Needle waved towards Petro and Lattice as Muka drew her away before settling to try and find something distinctive about this table in order to remember where it was for later. Sure she could always have Muka find it for her, but on the off chance they were to get split up...she didn't want to lost her flowers. They were precious gifts, after all!

"If you insist." She smiled uncertainly, patiently letting him move and hold her as he deemed necessary. This was familiar, being held this close to him; granted, this time they were standing, not seated. Still, the familiar feeling was there, and it was...nice. Dancing with someone else was already turning into something great! "A..All right! I will make my feet intangible until I get a grasp on the movements." She informed him, determination to do this right clear as day in her voice. "Good, I think I could like dancing even more!" Needle placed her hand on his shoulder, carefully fitting her arm along his in a way that kept most of her needles from harming him. Some quick movements though, and she couldn't guarantee his safety.

He might very well join the league of Pincushions at the end of this day.

As promised, Mac had shown up at Lizzy's door with a bouquet of flowers and a little kiss to her forehead. He had a lot to make up for tonight, and so he was going to do everything he could to make it perfect for her. It wasn't only an apology though, it was also for their anniversary. She had stuck with him through thick and thin, and the last year hadn't been easy, he knew that much. The least he could do was treat her like a Queen.

"I try, I try~" He chuckled as she fixed his jacket, letting her fuss and fidget with it as she wished. "You're beautiful...Prettier than last year." The last part was more of an after thought as he leaned over, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. He imagined it was because this year she was wearing his colours and showing up as his date, which was a massive improvement over last Prom already.

"Amrita." She corrected, looking somewhat unsure. Babe? He just used her name! How could he have forgotten it already?! That was...that was just rude! "asdkjgha--Remiii, stopit!" Backward hands lifted, trying to swat away the evil glitter-sprinkling fingers with a look of mild distress. She was already covered in glitter, she didn't need anymore! Apparently, as always, he had other things in mind.

"...Oh Jack." Amrita grumbled as Remi was handed over some bombs, but she managed to give a weak smile to Desu-chan. Glitter. Fantastic. "Th-thanks, Desu-chan." She wasn't sure she was serious, but she certainly tried to sound it. Maybe it would keep her off a certain radar, but...that didn't seem likely. Remi was clearly at fault here.

"That colour is very nice on you! I like it, what made you pick a dress?" She knew Jack was going in a dress - she helped him make it, even! - but she wasn't entirely sure what made Remi do it, or if he had been even serious about it in the first place. "Did you bring a date?" Amrita was still missing hers, but she knew he'd be around somewhere! "...Are you gonna dance, too?" Her roundabout way to see if he could dance with her, too. Remi was her friend, and even with the glitter she was more than willing to dance with a friend!

"...Oh, wow, Jack! That dress looks amazing on you!" She cheered, distracted from Remi at the sight of the other boil in a dress she helped create. Eeee <3 The other boil nearby, False, apparently, received an almost shy wave.

Kettil had never fought her wills whenever she tugged at his dreads mostly because while he was sure she would stop before it became painful he didn't really see any need to stop acquiescing to her wishes since each time it came with a positive reward and thus Kettil was most easily trained, much like a tall goofy puppy with dreadlocked hair. He leaned his head down enough to receive the peck on the chin.

"That's more than fine, just gettin' a feel for the evenin'," he said simply reveling in her touch aware that Freya had entered the event but also noted that she probably wanted to be with Herryk, which was just as fine. They could talk later perhaps. Kettil at the moment was just enjoying the evening.

When she fell silent he fell silent too quietly moving with her along the dance floor - at least until the mood of the music changed and just the over all feeling of everything felt a bit too heavy on him. Sometimes he could be within a crowd forever mingling and socializing, sometimes he could be indoors forever but ... He was also in clothes he wasn't used to and in a setting he didn't have much experience in, he leaned and gave Lark a small kiss on her cheek as he murmured, "Let's go get some fresh air...somewhere."

Then he led the way away from the dance floor after he had pulled away and linked hands with her. Yet ... There seemed limited places where he could get away and paused only a moment in front of the bathrooms before he ducked in through one of the doors marked 'Other' hoping Lark wouldn't just let go of his hand and just stand there with indignation of some sort.

User Image He hugged her tightly, pressing his nose into her hair and trying to stop the wide smile that had somehow made its way across his face. Sparrow still couldn't quite believe that Wren was actually here, with him, and now all he wanted to do was hold her until the night was over - and longer.

His eyebrows rose. "You are?" he said, and leaned back a little to look at her, surprise registering on his face beneath the mask. Reaching a hand up, he pushed it up to rest atop his hair for a moment, rubbing at his cheeks. "Really?"

He couldn't have been more pleased. Sparrow's smile was now enormous, though he tried not to make Wren uncomfortable, and cleared his throat, attempting to mute some of his excitement at finally getting to show his ghoulfriend to people. Leaning close, he gathered her back into his arms and curled her close, smiling into her hair.

"Ah, Jove!" said Sparrow brightly. "I haven't talked with the boil in a while, but I think I saw him around here - we'll have to go say hello, okay?"

"Hey!" came the very indignant protest as the phone - and Ren's texting abilities - were abruptly plucked from his fingers. Wings fluttering, they expanded out to the side briefly, a few feathers rustling against the others, before they tucked back against his back. He gave her a pouting look. "I was using that, you know."

It was finally the night of the prom and Ren and LW were, in fact, later than they expected - but that was all right. Dressed in a classic black tuxedo, red vest, and scarlet mask, Ren slipped an arm around his ghoulfriend's waist and gave her a bright smile, reaching out to idly brush aside a few strands of her hair that had fallen into her face.

"I needed to text Jove," he said, with as big of puppy dog eyes as he could muster - which probably wasn't that successful. Lower lip jutting out in an overly exaggerated pout, Ren leaned over and pecked a quick kiss to LW's lips before moving back and smiling. "But I'm glad we're here, beautiful."

Then he promptly picked her up and carried her bridal-style into the prom, one arm beneath her back, the other beneath her legs. Carting the werewolf over the dance floor, he only set her down once they had reached the refreshment table. Grinning at the shewolf, Ren reached out for a cup of punch, and then offered one to LW, lifting his own in a toast.

"To tonight," he said, with mock seriousness. "May we have a most excellent time and may Tybalt trip over his shoelaces and fall face first into the punch bowl if he comes."

"I learned to dance as a scareling.." He giggled informatively, body vibrating as it usually did. The strix was slow with the dance, smooth, and with her intangible feet it barely seemed like any work for the ghoul at all. The pose was perhaps a bit formal, maybe old fashioned, but it worked for the both of them, especially with Needle's arms. Muka swayed them back and forth gently, turning only slightly in a circle. The music wasn't exactly what he was used to dancing to but it would do enough.

"Please let me know.. if this is alright." He giggled to her, affectionately leaning his cheek for a moment on her cool forehead. Their mutual like of contact worked well in their friendship so far and he didn't feel shy or strange about showing her affection.

Jove definitely had a new added maturity to him. Levi was successfully convinced by his attempts to appear unaffected by the amount of faceless beings around him. To the ghoul, he'd just bumped her and she was delighted to see him changing and growing. The pup was still smaller, but it was his actions that spoke for his current appearance to her. Yep, thought so. Don't strain yerself though, ya'hear? Ya'll gonna work them guns out till yer tired as a torterror.

It was how her impression of Jove became; arm wrestling. He'd beaten her when she'd first arrived at Amityville at her arm wrestling booth set up to meet some of her strong peers. Jove was a secret arm wrestling champ.

He looked to West and as he did, so too did Levi. A wider smirk came across her lips. Maybe Jove had met West before? The odds were quite likely given they both spent enough time at the gyms.

Levi had just been comparing her dance with West to training of a sort- Say Jove, you been doin' any dancin' tonight? Good fer workin' them legs too, ya' know.
