For the past year and a half or so, Jasper hadn't really spent many of his nights in a bed, or even indoors, at the very least, so it was only natural that he'd find the bed to be uncomfortable. He ended up pulling most of the blankets and pillows off the bed and built himself what probably closer to a nest than an actual bed right there in the middle of the floor. He released Ditto to complete the setup and the curious transformer quickly shifted itself into a pillow shape, though it pointed one of its corners at his backpack, indicating that their other two companions should be let out as well. Jasper grumbled but obliged, as, for the past how many years they'd been a team, Ditto had always let itself be used as a pillow so it wasn't like he could say no if he wanted to.
Paras pulled up a corner of the nest and made himself comfortable while Totodile chose to curl up in the nook at the back of Jasper's legs. It felt a little strange but soon the gator was snoring soundly. Paras stared at him for quite some time before its round eyes closed as well, and Jasper sighed. Was this how it was going to be from now on? Would he still be sleeping on floors when there was a nice, soft bed less than three feet from him? Would he lose more and more sleeping space as his Pokemon demanded to share it with him? He sighed, and wrapped his arm a little tighter around Ditto, who replied with a sigh of its own. Could he ever get used to this? * * * * * * * * * * "Oh, hey, come on, you guys, I didn't say start!" Hayley shouted, her hands balled up into fists and she stamped a foot, clearly unimpressed with her two Pokemon's ambitiousness. Cynder snorted out a puff of smoke and chortled from the sidelines, though he couldn't help but be impressed by Mya's speed. He was sure that even if he ran his fastest, he couldn't outrun the tiny Rattata. Tisyphone was a different story, however, as her attack - if one could call it that - was rather painful to watch. She got closed enough to the Charmander only to be treated to a blast of fire to the face and she squealed and promptly ran away, hiding behind the nearest rock she could find. Fire was definitely not her friend!
Hayley bit her lower lip and tried not to be embarrassed, and instead began to worry about round number two. She looked over to Cynder for moral support but all the Charmander did was shrug, and she pouted, looking back to Kressen in time to see his little bundle of, err, knives to be born from an egg. The brunettes eyes were wide as she tried to deduce just where he'd managed to pull that from, but then she saw an egg appear completely out of nowhere just in front of Alex. The blonde had fairly good reflexes and she managed to catch it, leaving Hayley looking rather dumbfounded. "Hey, is Blues messing around or something?" she asked, casting a glance at the Abra, her own two Pokemon forgotten. A flash of light seemed to pierce her brain just then, and she suddenly felt quite inclined to look up. She did so in time to see yet a third egg materialize and she reached up to grab it, losing her balance and falling over backward. A worried yelp escaped the nearby Charmander but he wouldn't be fast enough (or strong enough, for that matter) to catch her and she fell with a thud on her back, the egg secured firmly against her belly. She'd whacked her head in the process and was a bit too dazed at the moment to notice that it had started to crack down the middle.

The Mawile jumped up in the air suddenly, yelling at Muuma as it launched itself at her, its weird second jaw thing snapping open and shut. The Ghost-type was thrown back a little, but the attack had not done much and she quickly recovered. The Mawile seemed to taunt her when it landed, and she glared at it before relaxing and floating to the side a bit, no longer particularly annoyed but simply hoping to end this pathetic thing soon.
The corner of Leon’s lips twitched as he saw how much this Pokémon was getting to Muuma, but didn’t hesitate with his next command. ”Just use Psybeam again,” He said calmly, and she quickly complied, attempting to blast the Mawile to oblivion. It rolled back as the blast hit it directly once again, wincing this time and having a bit of trouble returning to its feet. It jumped up at Muuma again, turning and flipping its other jaw at her, its fangs gnashing, hoping to sink into the Ghost-type. She quickly moved out of the way, however, and the Mawile soared right by her, landing delicately on its feet and shooting her a look that said, “Hmph!”
”Hex. Finish it off, Muuma.”
Muuma’s eyes began to glow, and the Mawile braced itself for another blast. Muuma’s body was surrounded by a black glow as dark, tendril-like energy began trailing from her body and forming a big orb before her. A glowing red eye appeared in the middle of the orb, and shot out its own blue, purple, and black beam at the Mawile. It turned and tried to run, but the light was already upon it, and crashed into the Pokémon. The Deceiver Pokémon tried to push itself up, but after a moment of struggling it finally collapsed. Muuma stuck her tongue out at it and floated on back to Leon.
He was smirking at her, and she began exploding at him. Litwick floated up in between the two, yelling and giggling as it tried to get in on whatever game they were now playing. Muuma quieted down and hushed the baby Pokémon, who was now circling her happily. Leon watched the two for only a short moment before beckoning them and moving away from the spot they had been battling on.

As Robin walked alongside Ampersand she adjusted her hold on Zuko a bit as the other mans aura put the baby bug to sleep, Luffy happily walked by their side. "So how do we get down to this Hearthome city? Is that where the gym is?" Robin asked as she followed the older man.
"Well, Hearthome does have ah gym, though ya can't really challenge it right now, there is some rule the gym leader follows or something, ah don't really know. The city though is south of here. We just need to go down the bike path and then head east and through ah cave." Ampersand supplied glancing down at the girl and the weird bug in her arms.
Something seemed a bit off about what Ampersand was saying, the redhead frowned a bit as she thought about what it could be. "Ah! Ampersand I don't have a bike!" She bit her lip nervously. She had just won that gym battle, maybe she could buy a bike with her winnings?
The tall cowboy just laughed at her a bit. "Don't worry. Ya can rent ah bike at the start ah the hill."
"Oh, ok cool." Robin chirped just hoping that there was a basket for Luffy and Zuko.

The wait inside the clinic wasn't very long and soon Dante was in the room talking to a young doctor. "Well, it just hatched and bit me." Dante explained as the doctor cleaned the wound on his arm.
"What do you mean it just hatched and then bit you. You must have done something to upset it, or maybe it was scared. There is no rational reason why a newborn pokemon would just attack someone like this." The doctor was giving Dante a very disapproving look. Like he was a terrible trainer or he had done something wrong.
"I didn't do anything. It had been less then a minute before it bit me." Grumped Dante. "It also tried to attack the girl with me and did manage to attack my Dusclops when it pulled her away from us."
The doctor was now wrapping up the clean wound and clearly wore an expression that said he would be calling the authorities after this. Probably to make a claim that Dante was an unfit pokemon trainer. "Of course kid. Look, if you aren't that experienced a trainer then you shouldn't have a newly hatched pokemon."
"I am not an inexperienced trainer." He snapped. "Look I will show you the crazy little thing." He wasn't really thinking as he reached into his bag and tossed out the blood stained pokeball that contained the little devil herself.

Mina’s Pansage was still quick on its feet after the last attack and did as ordered, launching itself into the sky with Vine Whip so that it could avoid the oncoming Ember attack. “Keep up the offensive Kokoro, but this time use your special move!” Claire ordered. It wouldn’t be a super-effective hit, but Extrasensory had the added bonus of being hard to dodge since all the Quilava really needed to do was see her opponent to strike.
“Hmph.” Was all Rajasi could mange to say as his Marshtomp slept in the middle of the battlefield. It was amazing how status effects like Sleep could be so effective, even when getting pounded on by an enemy Pokemon. Jon had taken advantage of the opportunity to have his Pansear release a five-hit-combo Fury Swipes attack. Although Marshtomp whimpered, she did not yet awaken.
-------
Back at the clearing, Shining had calmly approached the spunky Mawile and tried to begin a conversation. But as far as Mag could tell, it wasn’t going well for the Espeon’s side of the argument. After a few more moments of “Nyaaas,” “Wiles,” “Espeys,” and “Mas” the Sun Pokemon trotted back over to Mag. “So now what?” The orange-haired man asked.
”Looks like she won’t let us take the eggs.” The psychic type reported.
“I was afraid of that.” Mag said with a sigh. “But we’re not leaving them--HURK!” Moti said as he was suddenly hit in the gut by a tan and black blob using Astonish. All the man could do was fall over clasping his stomach as the Mawile backflipped over to the eggs, scooping up the tan and black spotted egg protectively in her pony tail shaped jaw-appendage-thing. Thankfully for Mag, his Espeon was quick on her feet, levitating the other egg safely out of reach.
Although it annoyed her that the second egg was suddenly floating beyond her grasp, the Mawile realized she should, once again, cut her losses and make off with the egg she had managed to save from the evil clutches of this Pokemon trainer. The pink cat-thing had put up a good front for him, but Namida knew better than to trust a Pokemon trainer after being surreptitiously left behind by her previous owner. At first she had thought it was a mistake, but after a week of waiting she realized she was left behind for good. And thus the agile steel type made her escape.
Although Shining probably could have stopped the Mawile, she decided to let the Pokemon go and attended to her trainer, slowly lowering the egg so that it was floating level with her. For some strange reason the Espeon knew that only the tan and pink egg was for her master, the other one was supposed to go to someone else and it’d be in good hands with that Mawile until it found it’s proper partner. By now Moti had managed to recover from the gut rending attack and stood up, coughing a little bit.
“Well that was fun.” He said as he exhaled sharply. “At least we got one though. I guess we’ll just have to let the other egg go, no use counting the eggs before they hatch,” he said shrugging. “Let’s get back to the group.”

The squeals that came from Kasiya and her new Pokemon were so piercing that Riza was certain her ears were bleeding, but this wasn't the case. When her own egg finished hatching, the scream that Riza made easily rivaled Kasi's, but not for the same reason. Kasiya screeched because her brand new Minccino, as the Pokedex had called it, was cute, Riza screamed because hers resembled a snake, and she was utterly terrified of snakes.
She was too busy trying not to throw the snake like Pokemon across the square to notice that Amy had also acquired an egg or that Shiro had appeared at her side, also with an egg in tow. Riza felt herself shaking all over but even still, she could not break eye contact with the little snake thing. "S-snake," she whimpered, still holding it out at arms length. "I h-hate snakes!" Still whining, she set the creature down on the ground carefully and took a step back. Why did she have to get the creepy, slimy snake while Kasiya got the cute chinchilla?
The snake like Pokemon in question blinked a few times. "Vee," she said, holding up her arms and shaking them. Then, she shook her legs as well. She had limbs, she wasn't really a snake. At least, not yet, but she hoped that this girl would get over it. After all, the little grass-type just knew that this girl was hers. "Sni-vee," she said again, stepping forward and patting the toe of Riza's shoe.
"Oh, Shiro," Riza cried, resisting the urge to duck behind him and hide. "This egg just came out of nowhere and it hatched and it's a snake. I don't know what to do about it." Seeing the creature show off its limbs had quelled her fears a little bit, and she had to admit that it was actually pretty cute. She did like the large leaf on the end of its tail. She then noticed his egg, and her eyes went wide. "You got one too? So did we," she said, gesturing to Amy, Karrigan, Kasiya and her Minccino. "Your battle, how'd it go? Did you win?"

As Tisyphone squealed and ran away Gigas cheered happily thinking he had won. He held up the V for victory sign up into the air turning to his trainer expecting a big hug and perhaps a treat. Instead he saw the egg his trainer had just caught hatch into a bladed monstrosity. A confused growl came from his maw as he watched the scene unfold.
Kressen likewise, didn't see the attack land on the Nidoran or he would be cheering for his fire type. Instead his attention was focused on what had just come out of the egg. It was just barely under two feet and reminded him of a toddler. A metal toddler whose body was made of blades. Blades that were currently digging into him because he had been hugging the egg close to his body.
Resisting the urge to cry out in pain he carefully lifted the strange pokemon away from his body. The newborn stared at him with red eyes taking in the world. It slowly moved its limbs up and down getting used to them. The newborn cooed happily at its new trainer who just looked at it bewildered. "Well...hi there little guy. Err welcome to the world." He smiled warmly at the little guy cooed again and kicked its legs.
"Oh you must want down." He carefully knelt down and placed the pokemon onto the grass. It promptly took some tentative steps then started to play with some grass. Its bladed hands tore deep gouges in the earth as it tried to pluck at the grass. "I wish I had a pokedex so I'd know what to call you. I think I'll just call you Odin. It just seems to fit you for some reason."
Odin clapped its bladed together happily at the name, while Gigas came up behind him and started sniffing. He was just as confused as his trainer about what had just transpired. "Hey girls come check..." Looking up he saw that both of the girls had also received an egg. Hayley's had already hatched into a green leaf lizard, while Alex's remained unhatched. "What is going on here?"

Kasiya and her Minccino both covered their ears as Riza screeched, apparently not as pleased with her Pokemon as Kasiya was with hers. The Chinchilla Pokemon hopped down from her new trainer's shoulders and approached the Snivy, giving a wave and a cheery hello. Kasiya, noticing Shiro's reappearance waved as well, and let out a sigh of relief when she saw that Amy was to be blessed with an egg too. She knelt down in front of the Grass-type and extended her hand. "I don't know, Riza. It doesn't look that much like a snake," she said, silently hoping that the raven-haired girl never crossed paths with Keegan's prankster Arbok, Loki. "You should give it a chance, I bet it's really strong." Minccino nodded in agreement before rushing over to Crenu and starting to furiously sweep the dirt from his shoes.
"So, does anyone have any idea of where these might have came from?" she asked, looking around the group, and specifically the three unhatched eggs, wondering when they'd hatch as well. After seeing the Snivy and Minccino, Kasiya was curious to see what other Pokemon these eggs contained.
=-=-=-=-= Jake was still looking at his egg like it had insulted the mother he couldn't remember when he heard Jade's exclamation, and he looked over in time to be blinded once again by bright light. "Okay, these things definitely aren't normal," he said, resisting the urge to shake his egg. "I'm not like, an expert or anything but don't eggs take time to hatch?" However, his question seemed to be very redundant as the cute little cottony puff of a Pokemon was born. "Okay, that is possibly the cutest Pokemon I have ever seen," he said, unable to stop himself from grinning broadly. "And it looks like you got your Grass-type, too. Guess the Universe must have been listening." At least he assumed it to be a Grass-type, considering the leafy ear-like protrusions on its sides.
He considered what Jade had been saying just before her egg hatched, and he smiled. Perfect for them, right? He ran his hands over the shell of his egg, trying to imagine what would be perfect for him. Perhaps a Fire-type, like Solaris or something that would help to round off his already odd-little team. His egg began to shake once again and he sighed, not at all in the mood for another false alarm, unimpressed even when it started to glow. "Oh, no you don't. I'm not falling for that again," he told the egg. For a moment that seemed to do the trick, as the shaking and glowing stopped. And then, without warning, the egg exploded.
=-=-=-=-= Karrigan looked over the two newly-arrived Pokemon carefully, realizing very quickly that neither of them were native to Sinnoh. Kasiya's PokeDex identified the mousy Pokemon as a Minccino while the girl named Riza appeared to be far too terrified of her Pokemon to consider checking it out. "She's afraid of snakes?" she asked, moving a little closer to the blonde as she wasn't sure what Riza would do with it. A fifth person jointed their little gathering, however, and Karrigan was only just able to catch sight of the egg he held before she turned her gaze away. She wasn't overly interested it meeting a bunch of new people right now, even if Kasiya and Riza seemed like nice girls. "Lennier, are you sure you don't know what's happened with all these eggs?" she asked the Kadabra again, and the Psychic-type simply shook his head, apparently quite interested in examining his Twistedspoon at the moment.
I only know that many eggs have been transported to various places all over the world by a tremendous psychic power. The ripple has given me a headache, so if you don't mind, I would like to retire to my Pokeball. Karrigan nodded, trying to figure out how this would work. Her left hand was still bleeding from how tightly she'd clenched it and she did not want to get blood all over the egg, so she sat down on the ground, cross-legged with the egg nestled carefully in her lap. Now having both hands free, she recalled the Kadabra to his Pokeball, and sighed, looking over at the adorable Minccino and the Grass-type. It was cute too, even though it didn't really look much like a snake to her. Would the Pokemon that hatched from her egg be cute, too? As if on cue, it began to tremble, light beginning to creep out of the newly formed cracks. "Oh, mine's hatching! It's hatching!" she cried.

Misty couldn't help but cheer a little as the Mud Bomb landed a direct hit on the Raticate (who might be in need of an attitude adjustment, if you asked her, but she was biased at this point), fists clenching as she jumped a little. Quagsire was looking good in battle today, though she was beginning to seem fatigued from trading blows with the Normal-type. He recollected himself pretty quickly, and Train hadn't faltered in her battle tactics whatsoever, always keeping a steady head; the redhead liked that in her latest challenger. She ordered for another Quick Attack and Misty would not be surprised this time. Instead, she decided they would face the rat head on and perhaps end the second round of this battle.
"Hit him with another Ice Punch when he gets closer, Quagsire," she responded in kind, muscles taut as she watched the Water Fish Pokemon's large fist glow the same icy sheen she had grown familiar with. As Raticate speeded toward her, Quagsire braced herself for the impact and winced as he slammed into her, instinctively swinging that fist towards him, hoping to caught him in the side with a heavy blow. Regardless of whether or not her blow hit, Quagsire felt her energy sap away and her eyes began to drift shut. Misty recalled the Pokemon, smiling fondly at the Pokeball before she drew another, this time releasing a Starmie into the water, eagerly awaiting Train's next move of action.

Glad to have all of his Pokemon in top shape for the gym match first thing, Jett clipped the Pokeballs back to his belt as he listened to Scarlet propositioning Sledge to join his team. The dark-haired boy thanked the nurse and apologized again for the bug on his head before stepped back from the counter, feeling around blindly until he caught hold of Viy and lifted the Venipede down to look at him. The bug did not seem very pleased with this new development, but he only grumbled his unease before looking up at the boy with rapt attention.
"What do you say, Viy? Would you like to be part of my team?" The Centipede Pokemon only rolled his eyes, as if the answer was obvious and wriggled a little, wishing to be back on his perch again. Jett grinned and set him on his shoulder instead, looking back at Scarlet, who had settled his agreement with his own newly-hatched Pokemon. "I ate, but I dunno, they might have dessert. I'll come with you either way." When they were both ready, he led the way with surprising confidence back to the still-barren cafe, collecting only a drink as the redhead got his own food before they sat at the table. "What did you get up to while I was gone, anyway? Apparently, Jasper had a run-in with Team Rocket."

The surprise over the appearance of her egg began to fade as she glanced around, smiling a little at the serpentine creature Riza had hatched and again at the chinchilla-esque Pokemon the blonde girl had received. She glanced up at the sound of approaching footsteps and noticed another coordinator from the contest, the blonde-haired Crenu, as he had been announced the other night. She smiled again at him but did not think he noticed, remembering him to be quite reserved. This note seemed to hold true, since he only addressed Riza as he approached. Amy glanced down and saw that the blonde boy also carried an egg in his hands. She straightened herself and glanced concernedly at Riza, who did not take as kindly to her new Pokemon as Kasiya did, instead responding with fear.
"Yeah," she piped up, agreeing with Kasiya's statement about giving the Snivy a chance. "Grass-types are usually realy good choices for contests, too." At this, she glanced back at Flora and exchanged a smile with her own Grass-type, as if to prove her point. Their appeal had been incredibly simple together, but she knew that Flora was young and by the time she was as strong as the Meganium she had seen, they would be quite the formidable pair. Amy gently disentangled herself from Riza, giving the girl and Crenu some room as she drifted closer to Karrigan, glancing around at all of the faces. She still hadn't been introduced to the blonde girl, and as she opened her mouth to say something to her, she heard another telltale crack and glanced down at Karrigan and her egg. The redhead's egg seemed to hatch into a cute little bear, the coloring of its fur reminding her of Ice-types. She was pleased for her friend, knowing that she seemed to have a preference for such a type.
"Awww," she said softly, pulling her egg closer. All of the eggs so far seemed to hatch into cute and unique Pokemon, all of them Pokemon she had never even seen before. She seemed to drift in her own thoughts as the conversation went on around her, only broken from them when her egg began to tremble violently. Amy gasped aloud as her egg shook and cracked, practically splitting down the middle to reveal whatever Pokemon she was destined to be with.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
"I'm not complaining," Jade responded easily as she shielding her eyes from the flash of her hatching egg. "If it wants to hatch now, by all means--" She was cut off when she glanced down to find the Cotton Puff Pokemon, who looked back up at her with wide, unblinking eyes. She remained speechless for a long moment, holding the Cottonee in both of her hands and finally smiling a little, pulling it closer in a small hug. "The cutest; cuter than an Eevee, that's for sure," she grinned as she felt Cottonee rustling. The Grass-type cooed happily, appreciative of the affection she was receiving. Jade laughed a little, both at her new Pokemon and at Jake's comment, realizing that she had been right. This Pokemon was pretty perfect for her, except...
"What the hell is it?" she hissed, covering the leaves in the assumption that they functioned as the little fluff ball's ears. "I haven't seen this Pokemon before. Have you?" She tried to let Cottonee go, but she squealed in response and stuck to the girl's sleeve, apparently attaching to the threads. Aquarius waddled up, staring for a long time at his new friend before finally canting his head. He didn't know this Pokemon either. But any thoughtful consideration was interrupted when Jake's egg practically exploded, and Jade turned herself around, shielding the Cottonee with her back against small flying shards of eggshell.
"s**t! What the hell was that, Jake?" She knew it wasn't his fault that his egg was a ticking time bomb, but she had to yell at someone. As she rounded back on the blonde boy, she found some odd-looking creature hovering in the egg's place, flapping with its skinny, weird wings. Jade looked at her Cottonee again before glancing back up at the boy's Sigilyph, wondering if they were hallucinating this whole thing. "God, this is so weird."

Blues’s head had might as well have been mounted on a wheel the way it swiveled around to take in the ridiculous amount of data in the surrounding area. The psychic energy that was pouring in far out classed his, and judging by the living… knife… thing that popped out of the egg that had been conjured for Kressen, it’d conjured them from some far off place, like hell. Whatever that thing was, Blues couldn’t read its intentions at all. It moderately annoyed him, but considering the eerie, baby-like cooing it was doing, it apparently wasn’t an evil mastermind or anything. Still, the flow of energy was powerful, and eggs appearing out of nowhere was… strange..
Then he heard Alex squeak, another ridiculous pulse of energy flooding into the clearing. Another egg? Sure enough, there she was, holding on tight to the tiny white thing, spotted green.
“Wow,” she whispered almost inaudibly, staring wide eyed at the weird little steel thing. “It’s… Sort of cute. I definitely wouldn’t hug it, but...” Alex looked at the adorable creature, cradling her own egg tighter. She could feel the warmth of it, as if there was an odd pulsing star inside of it. Alex knew then that she couldn’t let anything bad happen to it. She’d take as much care of… whatever it was in there as she did with Roll.
Crafty b*****d, the little Abra thought, warily noting that whatever this otherworldly cretin of a god was up to, it was probably dastardly. Forcibly forging links between human and pokemon was a powerful trick. Blues decided that he’d keep a close eye on whatever it was that came out of that egg… Unless it was like that… That thing. What the hell was that thing? If Arceus was real, he had a weird sense of creation. What did he do, tape a bunch of swords together and call it a day?
As Blues waxed poetic on the origins of life, Roll found herself squeaking with joy, dashing over to Alex to see the yummy egg someone brought them for an omelet. But Alex could see the hungry stare Roll radiated, and Alex pouted, turning away from Roll to shield the poor thing inside from her ravenous gaze. “Omigosh, you just ate and he isn’t food, he’s a baby! Behave!” The Larvitar let out a shocked gasp, cheerful expression inverted. Roll pouted and folded her arms, but Alex knew she wouldn’t stay mad longer than five minutes.
Alex blinked after Hayley asked what was honestly a really good question. After all, there weren’t many pokemon present with a penchant for teleportation. The blond glanced over at the seated, confused looking Abra, shooting him a look of equivalent perplexion.“Blues?”
Tch, I wish I had that kinda power, Blues thought dryly. But all he got out was a shake of his head before another mass of energy focused around the only human present without an egg. Why is this… The third egg appeared before Hayley. Of course.
The brunette didn’t have so easy a time catching her egg as the others though. She took a tumble back and hit her head. Alex ran over, more than a little concerned, what with all this weird stuff going on. “Hayley, are you okay!?”
The abra’s eye twitched slightly. He was a little tired of this weird teleportation espionage and he was getting to the bottom of it! Unbeknownst to his trainer, a dull white glow started overtaking him, and he felt power welling up inside. I was getting sick of teleport anyway… Without a terrible amount of fanfare, he’d completed his evolution, grown about a foot taller, and picked up a really wicked spoon. He stood by quietly, watching to see if any more of those strange pokemon were gonna appear. Roll stood close by, eyes wide, staring at Blues’ new form. Her arms clasped over her mouth. Then she poked him, giggling silently and earning an annoyed eye roll from the still decidedly Blues Kadabra.
That wasn’t the only thing Alexis missed though. The crack that started running down Hayley’s egg, and it wasn’t long before there was… a snake there? It wasn’t an ekans, though, it seemed less venomous and far more… leafy. “… Woah, this is getting cooler and cooler…”
Then a crack webbed outward from the top of the egg Alex cradled. It seemed like whatever it was, it wanted out.

"It was another draw." Crenu looked at Riza as she nervously eyed her new snake like pokemon and smirked a little. This was a rather cute moment he thought, though he quickly gave the smirk up for his normal serious expression less he get in trouble for it. But it more importantly, it was he though, their eggs had all appeared out of nowhere. It seemed everyone was consoling her on not being afraid of the little thing so he really didn't need to. Instead he just put an arm around her in an attempt to comfort her a bit and thought for a moment. "It's clearly a grass type from the leaves on its tail. But what's interesting is that it has reptilian qualities. Most grass types are plant based fully, its not often they share animal characteristics and particularly reptile ones. The only ones that come to mind are Bulbasaur Chikorita and Treecko, as well as their evolutionary lines. If the region this one is from shares similar patterns then you might have yourself a very rare pokemon almost impossible to obtain outside of a private breeder, like Eris. You should consider yourself lucky to have hatched it, and besides it can't be a snake if it has limbs. More like a lizard, reminds me of a grass type charmander really." This was more for her sake as the slender body type definitely reminded him of a snake, but that wasn't important. "Trade it if you can't get past its appearance but I'd say this is a good opportunity to grow as a coordinator and trainer. Then again I don't understand phobias, so just do what you want with it."
He looked down at the little grass pokemon who seemed to want to belong to Riza and he thought that maybe she was right about not wanting it. After all they had no reason to trust these eggs or the pokemon, the conditions around them were far to mysterious for his liking. Just then another egg hatched and a little white and blue bear with amor coming out of its nose was born. Looking from it to the snake and to the mouse he couldn't help but notice these pokemon were fairly cute, particularly the one now brushing the dirt from Crenu's feet. He suddenly had a feeling of dread in his gut as it darned on him, what if his egg hatched into something cute too? He just pictured it, something fuzzy and pink was sure to pop out of his egg, and it made him frown slightly, he hated it already. Not veryong after it hatched Amy's egg hatched as well and this time it was a brown crocodile looking creature. Well, at least they weren't all cute fuzzy pokemon, though it wasn't exactly menacing. He nudged the grey mouse with his foot trying to get it to leave him alone, not at all content with the cute atmosphere that had been created here. Taking a cigarette from his pocket he lit it and took a deep drag, his eye twitching slightly as he tried to push it out of his mind. Upset with whatever pokemon was in his egg for giving him a headache earlier and giving him an unwanted mystery AND for being a cute pink fuzzy thing he blew a plume of smoke onto the shell with a huff, and as if reacting to the action it started to wiggle and crack. Crenu set it down by his feet and watched, fighting the impulse in his mind that if it was a pink puff ball he'd punt it. Maybe it was because he had tied again with Surge, but he was particularly irksome right now.

"Oh? A gym battle? Hmm, I guess that would be kinda cool actually." Jason said with a grin as Roark mentioned it, he wbould probably start getting some badges. Even though he was on a researchers quest gym battles were an important part of pokemon developement as well as a good opportunity to witness Sinnoh pokemon in action. He was sure there would be a lot to sketch after that, but he was brought back to reality when he felt a Sharp jab in his hands. Nyx was playfully poking at his hands with her own, much like a child does, but when your hands are switch blades it becomes something else entirely. He bit his lip and set Nyx down, who didn't protest and instead occupied herself by stabbing at the ground. "Ah buy maybe later. You're right this is an Unova pokemon, and a handful too." He said as he sucked on his new cuts. "Don't get me wrong I love her to bits already and think she's very pretty, but I'm new at this and don't know how to handle her. Or feed her. She was just born outside and I don't know anything about her species. She's a tad clingy....which is the problem." He said pointing to the bloody holes in his shirt. "The people in town seem to have lots of rock types, so I figure this is a rock type gym. I know rock types and steel types are different, but you must have experience dealing with pokemon that are rather rough to the touch and more dangerous than they mean to be right? I'm sure she doesn't realize it but if she's not careful one of these days she might actually hurt someone really bad. I don't know if I should get armor or if I should put corks on her or something." That last one was a bit of a joke as he could never do that so the little cutie. As if on cue though, Nyx got up and looked at Roark, arms wide as she started coming at his leg for a hug.
