"That's no problem, I was thinking about getting something myself." Aru said as he looked around. Everything was deep fried and covered in oil and well.. Aru's stomach wasn't the strongest in the world. Some sites made him cringe in horror knowing that after consumption they would immediately make him run towards a port-a-potty.
"I think I saw a hot dog and burger vender around the corner. Perhaps that would be better than deep fried cheese curds?" he asked. He then glanced to his side when he realized Oliver wasn't with him anymore. Upon further looking, he noticed that Oliver was already buying a plate of the deep fried veggies Alida was looking at earlier.
"Oliver's stomach is made out of steel." Aru sighed as he shook his head. The red head shortly returned with a piece of sweet potato stuck in his mouth. He then rotated the chalk board hanging on his hip and grabbed the piece of chalk clipped to it, before jotting down. 'They should advertise this for what it really is. Tempura.' He said, before nodding to the Asian man grinning behind the booth's counter. Oliver resnapped his chalk in place and dusted off his hand.. on Aru's back, before he stuck a piece of asparagus in his mouth.

Alida covered her smile with her free hand at Aru's comment about Olver's stomach. She supposed that meant her stomach was also made from steel, since she also enjoyed the veggies from time to time.
She nodded in agreement with Oliver's statement.
'You're right, but a lot of people wouldn't know what that was,' she countered with a smile.
She looked over at Aru and nodded, gesturing for him to lead the way to the burger stand.
'I smelled them, but if you know where they are, I'll follow you. A cheeseburger would be very nice,' she signed.

"See? Isn't this fun?" the white-haired kitsune woman asked cheerfully, even though there was that ever-evident hint of concern on her voice. She glanced down at the small child at her side, only to see him respond with a tighter grip to her hand, inching closer to her side as they walked.
MoogerMint's mouth quirked a little, wishing that the harpy boy could open up a little to the world outside their home. She knew shyness wasn't something so easily overcome -- heck, she dealt with it the majority of her childhood herself! -- but she felt utterly helpless in the position she was in. Heaving a sigh, she maneuvered the two of them toward an unoccupied bench to the side of the fairgrounds, away from most of the hustle-and-bustle of the families looking for a good time.
Flopping herself down on the wooden seat, she turned to look Hajari square in the face, even though his own eyes refused to meet her's. "Come on, now, it's not all that bad. Look, you want some cotton candy? I can get you some if you give me a smile," she said, grinning broadly herself as if it were in example.
The red head fidgeted in place a little, as if unsure how to answer at first, before he gave MoogerMint's hand another squeeze. "Can we go home?" he asked quietly.
"Are you not feeling well?" she asked. He had only recently recovered from a cold, so it wasn't all that far-fetched a question to ask. He still acted a little fatigued, but his silent response told her otherwise. She nudged him playfully in the shoulder, "Hey, it's not all that bad. So the wolves couldn't come with us, you know they can't come with us everywhere. You remember when Tensui tried to follow us into the grocery store?"
He flashed a slight smile at the memory, giving off a silent giggle. People weren't always so happy to see a wild wolf running through a crowd of people so energetically.
"Yeah, this is like the grocery store, except more fun. Sure there are a lot of unfamiliar people here, but they're only here to have fun, too. So, how about that cotton candy?" Hajari blinked, his wide-eyed curiosity telling her all she needed to know. That's right, he's never had any before... Might be best to start with something else. "Did you want to go on any of the rides?"
Again, he fidgeted, glancing around curiously out across the carnival.
"How about if we just walk around until we find something you want to try. Sound good?" she asked, feeling a little silly asking these questions that she should already know the response to. Hajari gave a very subtle nod, still wanting to go home but feeling like he could at least give it a shot.

Sybil and Rime were working on their cheese curds as they walked towards the animals, Sybil tugging on her mother's hand and pointing excitedly to all the things she wanted to come back to.
"And we gotta go on the the Pirate Ship, momma! That is so cool! Can we? Can we? Please?!" Sybil practically begged as she saw it start up with a full load of giggling and happily shrieking people.
"After we see the animals, perhaps, honey. Didn't you want to go see the ponies and the goats?" Rime asked.
"Yeah! But then I want to go on the ship," Sybil said, matter-of-factly, as if there were no other outcome.
Rime smiled and sighed. This was a day of fun for her kids, after all.
"Alright, if you're so dead set on it," she replied. "Look, there's the petting zoo entrance."
Sybil looked around eagerly, but instead of seeing the gates right away, she spotted some familiar brown feathers, and screeched to a halt, giving her mom's hand a jerk.
"Look! It's Hajari!" she said, bouncing, her wings spreading a little, and her python tail whipping the air behind her in excitement. "I knew I'd see someone here I knew! Hi, Hajari!" she called, and waved both arms in the air.
Rime shook her head slightly, and waved at the woman and child her daughter was calling to. "Hello!" she called, as well.
"We're gonna go see the goats! What are you guys doing?" Sybil asked, after tugging on Rime's hand until the were-dragon followed the half-breed to the pair on the bench.

MoogerMint rocked herself off of the bench where she was seated and onto her feet, glancing around a little to determine where they should head off to first. The carnival was so large, she was sure she was going to have a hard time finding the exit when it was finally time to leave. Luckily, she was pretty good at pretending to know what she was doing.
Her eyes fell on a hyper, bouncing ball of energy off a little ways that looked familiar, and Hajari noticed her, too, when she called over. She saw a smile crack on his face when he realized who was calling to him before he glanced up at the kitsune, waiting for her to go over in that direction. She smiled back, "Shall we?"
As they made their way over, MoogerMint flashed a characteristic grin at Rime and Sybil before pointing out, "Mad house today, isn't it?" It was a wonder she hadn't been bowled over yet, being of such short stature, but maybe that was because they noticed she was with a child?
Hajari waved to Sybil, but because the boy was still overcoming his shyness towards the world, was unsure how to start a conversation. Luckily he didn't have to, as he spotted the petting zoo Sybil had indicated. He jumped as one of the said goats bellowed, and managed a giggle at the unfamiliar sound. "I dunno, we didn't decide yet," he replied, fiddling a bit with the bottom of his vest.
"Well," Mooger shrugged, "we could always head over that way as well, if you don't mind the extra company." Hajari beamed, liking the sound of that idea. The woman held her hand out to Rime in introduction, "My name's MoogerMint, by the way, and this here is Hajari. It's a pleasure to meet you!"

"I'm Rime, and you seem to already know Sybil. It's a pleasure to meet you, as well," the tall, stately woman responded. "And, we would love to have the company," she finished with a smile.
"It is busy, but I have been told, 'wait until the weekend,' more than once, so I am thinking this is nothing," Rime said, shaking her head in amazement. People really turned out for these end of the summer events. One last grasp at summer fun, she supposed.
Sybil was getting really impatient, and took Hajari's hand in one of hers, and her mother's in the other, and pulled on them both, trusting that Mooger would follow on her own.
"They have little cups of food you can buy, and the goats eat out of your hand!" she said excitedly to the Harpy boy, her eyes going wide to emphasize the coolness of this.
