The kick landed. For the briefest of moment's, he felt her starseed around his palm and was just about to pull it free from it's human shell when he felt a leg shoot out and roll him away. Tumbling, he held his stomach before glancing down at his empty hand. Gasping, he rose up and tried to shake of the anger blinding him. He pulled himself back to his feet. What he needed was distance. Close battling was never his game, and he reached up to wipe at his face, the blood from the scratches she caused and those from the bite he took staining his hand as he looked about.
Groggy, he moved away. He had to defend the youma and regain some distance. With that, he headed into the crowd.

Today would have been a day he could never have forgotten, no matter how hard he'd tried, really. There were life changing experiences, and then there was the time when you figured out that your magical outfit did not, in fact, come with a cup. True story. He went down, alright - but one hand lashed out to grap Avalon's collar, trying to bring her down with him. And hopefully kick her in the god damn ovaries when his nuts were done cracking. GOD DAMN.

[ hourly roll ]
The male page herded Felix and the page behind him, away from the mysterious senshi, earning Celsus a questioning look from Felix. She was a senshi. Senshi were good, right? True, the atmosphere surrounding the strange woman wasn’t exactly the brightest one around, but…His thoughts trailed off as he instead scrutinized the girl that had once been Felicia.
Celsus’ words to the senshi baffled Felix. They implied that this senshi had been human…perhaps Felicia? Felix furiously shook his head. No, that couldn’t be right. Felicia was dead now, right?
“Navi.” He repeated the name as the senshi reassuringly smiled at him. Felix threw another confused glance, this time directed at the woman who called herself Navi, which honestly made him think of the Zelda game. Lips parted, he opened his mouth to ask her a question, but she launched into a conversation and skirmish with Celsus. Instinctively, Felix reached out to grab the female page’s shoulder and pull her back away. The page should’ve been able to have taken care of herself just fine, but helping others had become a habit for him now.

((Rolling for Europa))
"Don't be frightened?" repeated Keren, incredulous to hide that she was absolutely terrified. "Don't be frightened?" She'd gone shrill, and she was surrounded by some of those sparkles and rainbows folks. At least it was better than - Keren had read enough fanfics to know that this was better than the other side, the people who had attacked them.
"Don't be frightened," repeated Keren, spitting the words as she retreated into the huddle. She'd just looked death in the face when that horrifying woman had grabbed Cameron. She grabbed onto Pasiphae's arm, clinging to the senshi's silken glove.
"And how do you expect me to do that?" asked Keren, voice shaking.
(On the bright side, she'd faced down death. If she ever made it back to Earth, she could do anything.)
She looked shakily at the senshi who surrounded her now. "You guys are the good guys now, right?"
Babylon, who recognized Keren as one of his sister's friends (right down to the battered Crystal Academy jersey), ached for the frightened civilian. "Yeah," he assured her, placing a reassuring hand on the tall girl's shoulder. "We're the good guys.
Europa assured herself that everyone else could look after the civilian, and that she needed to protect her by throwing rocks at the Youma.

Well, this just… sucked. Ganymede wasn’t even sure what he was supposed to do anymore. Senshi were dying, civilians were dying—were there even any left? He couldn’t tell with all the commotion. It was hard see through all the debris and bodies and groups of people fighting, and he wasn’t even sure he wanted to know. This was horrible enough as it was. It felt as if they’d been fighting for so long already. Were they even doing any damage to the youma? It didn’t seem to be weakening at all. Not to him.
He threw more rocks, only because he didn’t know what else to do but keep going, keep pushing on, keeping doing what he and Europa had agreed to do in the beginning. There were more of them around now. Val was here. Pasiphae was stronger.
Pasiphae was… PASIPHAE WAS RUNNING TOWARD THE PSYCHOTIC PRINCESS HOLY s**t.
Oh, no, wait… she was just grabbing a civilian.
Ganymede thought he almost just had a heart attack, and didn’t know whether to be proud of her for grabbing the civilian and bringing the poor girl back, or freaking terrified that she’d just put herself in danger like that.
He decided he probably felt a little bit of both.
“s**t, Pasiphae, haven’t you had an active enough night?” he joked.

Falling, falling, always falling. He was waiting for the splat, the sick crunch. Instead something smooth and slick slapped him aside sending his falling path sideways causing him to gasp for his breath. He found air instead of smoke. Squirming in the dirt he gulped down lung full after lung full of the fresh air, eyes burning, vision still blurred and blinded by the lights of the surrounding.
He rolled over slightly coughing, the world seemed to take a minute to catch up, it was like someone took every cheap lighting effect in a movie and focused them all into his eyes, he could barely make out Gunn's form laying quietly on the ground near by.
This was bad, it was very bad; but thanks to Scylla it didn't end up being quite as bad as it could have been.

Valhalla stared at Ares from afar and the chaos in her wake. What could possibly be done to stop her?? She was going to end up corrupting everyone there!
"Stay away from her mirrors," he warned his allies, although he sputtered in surprise when Pasiphae decided to run off to help the civilian. Well, obviously they were supposed to be helping civilians, so... s**t... Valhalla followed after her.
"Grab her and let's go!" he called to Pasiphae not all that excited about being near yet another senshi with chaotic energy dripping from them. Everything was going to hell and there was nothing they could do to stop it. But why?? Were they just cowards, or was his gut feeling to stay away from Ares and the others keeping him alive?
Valhalla grabbed a rock while he was waiting for Pasiphae and Keren, and threw it at the youma.
"Stop yelling and just come on! Of course we're the good guys," he said, exasperated as he tried to coax Keren into heading back over to the group.
They had to kill this youma. There was some crazy senshi princess thing walking around throwing people through mirrors. And Sessrumnir made a note that, hey... those senshi and knights were actually telling the truth about what was happening. Funny how things like that happen, huh?
He picked up a rock and threw it. Yay.

((CLEARLY, KEREN'S A FIXED POINT IN TIME.))
Keren moved her hand from Pasiphae's arm to Valhalla's, struggling to become comfortable with this new situation as she was shuffled towards the middle of the senshi ranks. She decided that she liked the safety this afforded her - better than hiding out alone in a collapsing building or wandering a battlefield just begging for a head wound.
Keren's courage had, after all, run out days ago.
"You guys are gonna protect me, right?" she asked shakily. "You guys are gonna win? And I'll get to go home?"

Seeing the nod from the senshi he took up a place at her side, glancing at those who stood in front of her. "They are always underhanded, you'll become used to it." He spoke from her side. A glance to her before his slate eyes moved back to the Page's in front of the female senshi and himself.
Watching as one Page lashed out with a roundhouse toward her head. Raising his paintbrush he used it to block the strike meant for the new senshi. The Page seemed to have some place else to be so he let them go, they could be handled at another time. "If anyone should attempt to fight and harm you, I will see to it that they have both of us to contend with." He spoke, calmly, confidently as his eyes were back on the newly awakened senshi. "I will not allow for an ally to be hurt." Especially not when they were so new to this.
Slowly his gaze then moved to the other page and stared at him. "You will not be attacking her?" It was a question and yet also a statement.

Oh no you don't. Draconis was twisted and knocked to the ground, which was a bit disorienting. The second she righted herself though, she pivoted her legs around, knocking Sugilite onto the ground. It was reminiscent of her fight with Howlite back on Earth, actually. These negas needed to guard their legs better.
"Are you sure I'm gonna be the one in the hospital?" she spat back. That was all she would dignify Sugilite with.
Draconis looked around the clearing. It seemed as though the senshi were winning but ... could you really call it a victory? There were civilian bodies everywhere. There were civilians being turned into knights, dark moon court senshi ... it wasn't easy to call.
A rumble in the distance caught her attention. Suddenly a negaverser and ... was that Virgo? jumped off the surrounding. Didn't that mean ... did they ...
---
Layton was having a tough time with this Dark Moon Court thing. Her eyes went wide as Celsus attacked the Felicia-thing. Why did he do that? Why were they being so mean to each other? Hadn't they just been friends?
Whyyyyyyyyy?
All Layton knew was that kicking and punching her friend Celsus was not okay. So she kicked back. Hard.

(( Roll to defend! )) Flying wasn't what Ares was capable of, but she was a decently skilled glider. She used this now, pumping into the air and gliding down over the heads of many who continued to fight. The crystal in her staff still burned hotly with the power to convert, power drained from bodies trapped in the black mirrors of mirrorspace. In these civilians, Ares intended to double the numbers of her court. Speaking of doubles... two mirrors appeared on either side of Ares as she floated in the air. Her wings folded into her body. She rapidly descended onto the crowd below, and when she landed, Ares forced the mirrors to keep moving until they exploded against the rainbow road. Two plumes of smoke shot up into the air. Ares slowly got to her feet and then tilted her chin up to greet the newest recruits. Kestrel was now a dark parallel: the Senshi of Rust. And Tanvir? He was Senshi of Falconry. Two new warm bodies to serve the Dark Mirror. Princess Ares looked positively smug. "Warriors, welcome back to your humanity. You are now soldiers of the Dark Mirror Court. Feel the chaos coursing through your veins and give into it." The clash of weapons and magic littered the air. "You have two missions in this battle: survive and protect the youma. Everything else is details for another day." It was perhaps cruel to leave new recruits with such vagaries, but Ares had no other choice. There were still more to awaken. Remove Congratulations! Kestrel is now a DMC senshi of rust. Pick a name for her and post up a profile with magic attacks for approval. In this fight, just worry about her kicking a** with fists! and be blue Congratulations! You may also pick a name for your boy. Just make sure you get a profile up with attack ideas.

Sailor Nyx kept herself swaddled in the Jovian team, taking full advantage of the multiple eyes and ears open to stave off any more injuries. It was much easier to concentrate on taking down Negaversers when there was someone there to make sure another one didn't jump you (not to mention that youma). It was also, if she dared feel it, rallying.
Her curiosity was whetted when she noticed a smokey senshi popping in and out of the fray, often hovering near the great beast. It was not a curiosity borne from simply learning more about what this war was all about, but something that flew in the face of what she thought she knew. From what Sailor Nyx knew so far from visual cues, that woman should be on their side and yet... an aura eerily similar to Negaverse agents rippled off of her.
Suddenly, Pasiphae was off and back, bringing a civilian into their fold. It was a liability, but a welcome one. When Valhalla warned against the mirrors, she found it in her to speak up -- at least to be sure whatever she was hurling proverbial slings and arrows at was the correct side.
"What... what is she?" Nyx asked to the group, hoping someone could or had time to answer.

Her kicking at work, knocking Wolframite away, freeing her starseed and effectively removing the hand from her chest. She took a deep breath blowing it out before rolling and pulling her aching body to it's feet. She noticed it seemed Wolframite had his fill and was moving away. She made no move to go after him, it wouldn't be a wise decision.
"Next time," she said to the retreating figure, "next time we finish this."
She stood wobbly on her feet feeling though she wouldn't be able to stay upright for long. She was in a lot of pain, while the pain in her chest faded considerable it still ached. Her shoulder ached and it had bled staining her collar an odd shade.
She stood still looking around looking for Val, or Zirc or her cousin (Themis). Someone to have her back for a few moments while she tried continue the good fight, as unwise as that might be.

Pasiphae winced at Keren's shriek, and she couldn't help but feel a surge of guilt in her heart at her reaction. The girl was completely right, of course; there was no way she could avoid being frightened, given everything that was going on around her. Even Valhalla's presence and reassurances might not be enough to truly calm her down... but the Shame Senshi replied softly, "You're right... it's not a fair thing to ask. I meant... I meant don't be frightened of me. We're going to do our best to protect you."
Ganymede's gentle scolding made the Shame Senshi give a small, bittersweet smile--she was beginning to understand his quirks, his sense of humor. "I'm sorry... I'm afraid we'll have a much longer night ahead of us. We'll just... have to keep doing our best."
