Arc, in his irritated drowsey mood could only glare but that was the most he found in the strength left. He took the medicine and just fell promptely asleep. "At least study, you won't have much to do anyways." He mumbled and curled up. He'll find a not so harsh punishment later for the staff, maybe one missed meal or two.

Arc was swept up into his nightmare again but it as so light, that he wasn't even there. Moisture beaded his forehead as his body made a vane attempt to kick the heavy covers off and clutched at the sheets beneath him. His breathing heavy and hard.

A maid came up and handed Jake a bucket of ice water and a few cloth's, instructing him to put one on Arc's forehead and wipe the neck and arms down.

The maids brought up the noon meal for both of them. "Master Arc get's to eat first, your food will be on a plate warmer so it won't go cold. And its his favorite soup. B and C." She smiled sweetly. "There is also a cup of warm chicken broth, he needs to drink that down and have a glass of water or two too." She passed the cart to him. "Be gentle to him, cause when he eats in a fevered state, he is nearly asleep yet not nearly awake."

Upon smelling food, Arc slowly pulled himself up into a sitting posistion. He peeled the damp cloth from his foread and his eyes were luscent from the fever.

Arc could smell the food right under his nose but when he went to go move a hand to grasp the spoon, the silverware fell from his fingers and landed on the rug. His iris's followed it then he looked at the tray and stared, his stomach burning its way through to him. He was hungry. To him, it felt as if frost bit had paralized his fingers and was working its way up his arms. For once, he was helpless.

He felt a warm press to his lips and took the food. It felt good, taste good and savored good. Though there was a hazy film over his eyes, he felt that he was looking through frosted glass. He took the next bite and drank a warm broth. It was delicious.

Once eaten, a violent shiver went through Arc's body and his teeth chattered.

Arc felt himself slip away into a white dream, but he thought he could hear hospital equipment in the background but that was it. Arc shivered. A flash fever had appeared and it would last an hour.

A butler came and handed Jake an electirc blanket. "Use this, it will keep him warm when he goes through flash fever's. Place it between the comforter and top sheet."

The butler had kept detailed records of Arc's health, even right down to the heroic moment in High School but beacuse neither of them didn't remember it very well, Arc's father had asked the staff keep quiet about this.

"Master Arc, he rescued someone from a freezing river in the middle of winter. He had temorary hearing loss and his eyes had a soft haze covering them. The thing is, when he woke in the hospital, he couldn't remember it at all. Its not amnesia but Master Arc, the doctors say that he rewrote his memory in an attempt to forget a very deep and angry regret. When ever asked about the incident, Master would just reply that he had forgot to wear a diving suit when he went swimming."

He wrung his hands. "Master Arc, all this time, we knew who he was, a shifter, a wolf of great power. But the only time he would be cut down is when a this fever takes a hold of him, his body trying to force him to remember the incident. He thinks that the incident is an illusion." He straigthend out. "My wife, the Head Maid was the first to arrive at the scene, she can tell you more but I think she is undergoeing a massive hysteria. She hates it when Mater Arc goes through this fever, ever since his mother passed away at a younge age, she had looked after him and cared for him."

He left with the cart, placing Jake's food on the table.

The Head Maid came upstairs, doing her best to keep her eyes dry. Arc had become like a son to her and this fever session made her hysterical. She cautiously entered and sat across from Jake. Waiting till he finished eating then began the story.

"Master Arc, in High School as you heard, rescued a drowning boy from an icey river. It had been the coldest recorded day ever. Well, from what his friends have told me, that someone ran up to him, calling for help, saying that someone had fallen into the icey river. He knew that the person would die by the time rescuers and an ambulance had arrived." She paused and squared her shoulders. "So he ran, took off his jacket and jumped over the railing itself. He himself, trained to withstand even the extreme temperatures, plus being a warewolf of such stature could keep him from freezing. Well, Arc-san pulled the drowning boy out and began to recictate him there on the banks. He pulled back and took one look at the boy then he shut down, grew cold and waited as the sirens came. As I arrived, Arc-san was standing there in the cold, a wool blanket around his shoulders and a frosty haze over his eyes, blood was trickling from his ears and he was being probed with questions." Her eyes teared. "As I approached him, I noticed that ice was forming on his hands and the water freezing solid., it was then I exclaimed to the ambulance to take him to the hospital."

Taking a moment to wipe her wet eyes. "I asked to see the person who he rescued, as I entered the room, a state of shock overcame and I could see why. I learned that the boy he rescued could not remember even being pushed off and falling into the water."

"Arc-san has made the incident out to be an illusion and claims that he had been swimming in the cold ocean that had ice floes, with out a diving suit on. Arc-san had spent a week in the hospital with frost bite on his arms and a frosty haze in his eyes. He couldn't eat by himself and went through long periods of flash fevers that the doctors finally decided to warm his blood with a machine. He was in there no longer than a week. The rescued boy, a month in a comatose state." She controlled her sobs.
