"Ah, Master. You called for me?" The new maid approched him.

"Yes." He gestured for her to sit, he wasn't about to leave his spot on the floor anytime soon. She joined him on the floor. "I will put you under training with another underling of two year's. She is right now a care taker of a peculier pet of mine. Everything you hear, see and do will be reported back to me till the end of winter. Then will be his personal attendent along with the underling."

"Yes, Master."

"If worst comes to worst, you must protect him as well. When he trains, so do you." He examined the maid and caculated what weapon abilities should use. "Do you have any weapons experience?"

"I trained at the local kendo."

"Then you will continue your sword training. Find one of the gaurds that comes from your town and is in the same dojo as you." Pursing his lips together. "You'll find my pet in the library, there is a shadow following him, keep your eyes out and report to me."

"Yes Sir."

"Dismissed."

She made her way to the library, passing another maid who directed her to the room of books. Thanks to years of playing ninja on her friends she crept into the room and slid along the wall of shelves. Stepping around books that were accdently left on the floor in piles or alone. She would, in the future, clean and organize what was forgotton.

Peering around a shelf, her eyes flickered over the people on the couch, she pulled herself back and took a calming breath. Picking up a tall stack of books nearby that blocked her view, she dilibrately made a move to trip over the books before the shelf's end. Letting out a shriek of panic, books flying foreward, she was in mid-air for a moment then crashed face first into the carpet.

She kept her face contorted in pain and embrassment.

The maid grimiced, that had to be her second to worst fall ever! The first was when one of her fellow swordsman accdently knocked her off her feet and down a flight of stairs into the zen pool below. Another idiot had left the door open. the two were severly punished while she recovered from a bruised ankle.

"No, I'm fine. No check up needed." She smiled. "I heard about the library and wanted to further my education, guess I grabbed too many books at once and couldn't see where I was going." She picked up the nearest volume by her hand, Yes, she would have to mend those already damaged.

"I....I....o-oh! Yes, I remember now, the Master wanted to see us. I guess books are too addicting! I'll come back and re-shelve the books." Her hand gently grasped Leon's. "We better hurry."

Her gut instinct was right, the sooner she could pull the angel away from this "shadow," the sooner he'll know of his new job!

"I'm Renea and yours?" She said as soon they neared the Yin room, slowing down when she was sure she had lost him below in the facilties. So, this was the Master's pet? He was indeed peculiar. 'Thone? He goes into my reports.'

Her first assignment since arriving. His bodyguard and assistant. The Master has high hopes in protecting the blonde.


(no need to quote me any more, I can see and I am away at work or bbysitting for a friend on the wkeds!)

"Same here." She let a blush ripple over her cheeks. "Our Master is quite handsome?" Renea had heard that Master was having a strained relationship with the pet and actually bed him on ocasions. 'Casual talk, keep it casual.' She remebered him sitting on the floor in his wide, purple pant leg's, soaked ruby waist band and bare chest gleaming in sweat. A very deep and stark contrast then when she first meet him!

Through the window, Renea saw him hold a pose with one hand extended in front, the other crossed over his chest and right knee in the air. Silver matallic ball's sat on his finger tips and knee. Holding the balance was concentration at max and her face grew even redder. How could she? This was her Master and employer.

One of her friends had been a maid at a local mansion and the Baron fell in love her after a few months, they married. Stranger things have happened.

"He'll notice, takes time when some one is under going focus and balance training." Renea watched a large bead of sweat roll down Crest's spine and soak into the ruby waist band that was growing darker. He was very alluring and yet, forbiddenly dark.


Crest pushd the balls back up then paused, feeling eyes on his back. He stopped the training and threw a towel over his shoulder and stepped from the room, wiping sweat from his brow. "Pleased that you both can make it. I called you both here for a reason." His eyes wondered over Leonis' face to grab his attention.
