E7 nodded, "I suppose it is." After a second's pause he looked back to the door, "I'd take the pony." He said, "Hey lets see if we can find him?" He was joking of course but he was trying to walk the other way.
He didn't go far before he looked at E1, hearing not wanting to wearing a gas mask forever. "Eh... your right." He swayed slightly as he moved back to beside the rest of his team.
"I still don't like the thought of it." He paused, "What if they can do something?"
He sighed, "Either way, how do we want to do this?"

So, E-3 was gone then. E-12 swallowed back tears and gratefully squeezed E-1’s hand. It was nice of the girl to say she was a good bodyguard even if it wasn’t entirely true. E-12 had failed at the one job she really put her heart into.
“I think when we go, we should go as a team. That was our greatest strength and besides, I don’t want to be alone out there.” E-12 gestured with her free hand towards the black emptiness beyond the doorway. She briefly remembered the howling and shuddering they’d witnessed when the door was closed and shuddered.
“We need to do this before I chicken out,” E-12 blurted honestly. If she thought too long about the door or about the unknown of her life before, E-12 would probably never step through. It was now or never.

A7's mind had reached it's limit break. He had just gotten used to being a zombie. Seriously, there was something familiar about it. Something comforting. He couldn't imagine what that something was, but when he found himself back in the Death Lounge, in his old body, his mind was still convinced it was a zombie. There was a few last hip thrusts before he snapped back to reality, and gave himself a once over.
"s**t. Goddamn mother ******** s**t."
The bulletin board was gone. His last chance at life - then again, was being a zombie really considered a chance? - was gone. All that was left was the same, depressing, uncomfortable finality of that door.
"GOD. DAMN. MOTHER. ********'." A7 lifted his heavy boot and kicked the side of the bar, leaving a decent crater in it's wake.
"s**t."
A7 wasn't happy about the situation. Could you tell?

"Too bad I couldn't keep us all alive some medic I was but I appreciate E-3's words," he replied giving a nod to E-1 he was glad he was at least at one point some use to their adventure. Too bad he couldn't say his own farewell to her but maybe the other side would prove to be some sort of other task that with its own unknown existence would allow them all to meet each other again even if they memories were taken away.
Patting E-7's shoulder he gave a bit of a shrug, "I guess there is no better time than the present eh? I think all of us going in at once and well as E-12 put it now would be the best time as any though I hate to admit too bad I couldn't make fun of Puddles and E-8 again and I'm sure going to miss you guys if this becomes a rather permanent occupation for me." He gave out a bit of a chuckle as he hung his head for a moment, if he could cry tears he would be there was no use for them there. All they would do would fill up in his mask and probably go up his nose causing him to get annoyed or drown if that was possible at this point.
"Well I'll see you guys on the other side," he remarked taking a couple of steps forward and waving a thumbs up a few more steps and his back blended into the darkness.
[E-5 is concluded and is off to post his solo rp now!]

A-Two's heart caught in her throat. "You're, like, you're back!" she spluttered, catapulting herself right over the bar and flinging herself at A-Seven.

A-Nine pulled her knees to her chest and huddled in upon herself. She didn't sign onto the bulletin board to become that. One of the biggest things she feared.
When A-Ten came back to life she was fine so why...?
Just the feeling of rot made A-Nine's skin crawl now that she thought about it. At least at the time her senses were so dulled that it hadn't bothered her.
Her leg falling off, however, did prevent her from following along with the group. Probably just as well.
And now she was here. Again.
At least A-Two was here? "H-hi." she said shakily, "Yeah, we're back."

((Enter from Maru's Zombie game))
Inhale. Exhale. Unnecessary, given the circumstances, but the sound of the gas-mask was all she needed.
No one could see it, but Zeta Eight's eyes flickered open behind the orange lenses that labeled her a Zeta, taking a few seconds to get used to the light of the Death Lounge before looking around, confirming what she had known before she'd done so. They had been returned indoors, to the plush red chairs and mahogany bar and rows of alcohol they could never drink. The hunger was gone, along with the putrid flesh and raspy, unintelligible voice. She was a she again. They were dead, but they weren't... ... to their right, the door was still there, frame cracked from where Alpha Seven had kicked it several times, almost claiming him for its own. Not yet, anyway, but they all knew it was soon -- she could feel the tick of the clock as acutely as if she were holding the pocket watch that had ticked towards their untimely demise.
Lifting a gloved hand, the Zeta rubbed her forehead through the mask, touching the left lens as if to feel whether or not her eyeball had found it's way back into its socket, her attention caught by the sound of a heavy boot slamming into the wood of the bar. Still, she didn't seem surprised by the action, nor was she surprised to see who it was who had done it, merely swiveling her head in his direction before shifting from where she sat on the bar stool. Zeta Eight had never expected to be alive again -- she'd signed up for a completely different reason entirely.
"Seven."
She'd said that a lot lately.

“I think you’re up next,” E-12 said to E-7, fighting back a sob. “If you hurry maybe you can catch up to E-5 ... maybe fight off the shadows together?”
It was a lame joke and an even worse reassurance. E-12 didn’t know what was through the door any more than E-7 did, but she knew it would be better if they all went together. She dragged E-7 closer to the doorway and gave him a gentle push to send him on his way before he could change his mind.
It was better that way.
E-12’s eyes filled with tears as she watched her companions disappear into the abyss. One by one they took the final step over the threshold and were swallowed by the darkness. E-12’s heart thudded against her ribcage and her throat grew tight.
It was her turn.
There was so much E-12 had thought to accomplish. Her awakening in the Epsilon pink tent had set her on a course that she’d dared to dream could lead to victory. She was supposed to be a protector to the medic. She was supposed to find out the mysteries of the pendants. She was supposed to live to the seventh day.
E-12 had been the keeper of the map (as useful as that had proven to be) and the wielder of a deadly blade. She’d been one of the first awakened and one of the last to die in the Minesweeper game. She’d stood up to a demonic horse and lived to tell the tale. The girl’s brief life had been anything but uneventful.
She swallowed against the lump in her throat, straightened her shoulders, and lifted her chin. E-12 put one hand on the door’s rough frame, looked back at the swanky lounge, and then stepped into the unknown.
E-12 had called it on the first day. She was no leader, but she was a team player. Epsilon Squad’s time was up and E-12 followed her teammates all of the way to the bitter end.

Of course E7 had tried to protest to the girl, saying ladies first was about to come out when she tugged him over. He slowly nodded, of course E12 was right.
He placed a finger to his mask. "We'll have fun on the other side and ya'll can protect me from the shadows." He gave a chuckle, his words seemed melancholy perhaps even a bit sad, it was hard to tell though. With the chuckle at the end....
He was trying to be brave and had frozen at the threshold, before getting nudged in. He would've screamed, but as soon as he'd been nudged in there was nothing left there to scream about...

A7 was angry. So angry, that it took an entire three seconds to cool off. That was a long three seconds. It would have been longer, but when someone was flying into your arms, you didn't have time to be upset. You only had time to laugh.
He caught A2 in one arm, keeping her forward motion going as he swung her over the bar safely. "Aw, for crying out loud, can't I guy hate the world in peace?" Even as he said it, the laugh in his voice was back. He almost hated the sound - he didn't want to be happy. He didn't want to find comfort in hugging someone, when he knew he was about to give all that up.
But he did.
He heard Z8 calling out his name, and realized that as much as he hated this place, he loved that sound. Unfortunately, he heard something else in her voice. Something he didn't want to hear, but at the same time.. he was ready to accept it.
No, he was ready to laugh in it's face.
"You know what?" A7 responded oddly to Z8's call with his question. "This place, god damn. I am done with it." He hefted A2 further in his arms. "How about you guys? All they're gonna do is keep ******** with our minds over and over. Who the HELL needs that? I say, let's show them what Phoenix is really made of. ******** all this game bullshit. If I'm gonna go, I'm doing it when I choose. And with who I choose."
His voice didn't shake, even though he feared it would. Inside, his stomach was churning - it scared him shitless. Outwardly, all he would do is laugh at the fear. Laugh in it's face.
He would laugh all the way through that door, and never look back.

A-Two stared at A-Seven, at Nine, and at Z-Eight. "What... like, what happened? Not that, like, I'm not like... happy to see you guys, but..." She looked between the three Phoenixes again, her movements sharp with nervousness.

[Entering from Zone 5]
Again. Again he saw nothing but darkness. Again he found himself lying on the cold hard floor of the lounge. Again he was dead after taking on the chance to be "alive" once more. How pathetic of him to think being given a second chance didn't come with some sort of price.
At least this time he was back in his proper state. No longer did he stink of rotting flesh or have to groan out his words. And not longer did he crave for brains, which was a nice thing to pass by.
Sighing, E8 opened his eyes and stared up at the pink shaded ceiling.
"Here we go again I guess..."
Getting to his feet, he staggered a bit and stared back at the familiar door. This time it would be time to end it all. No excuses.

A-Two's eyes widened under the mask. "Zombies?" she squeaked. "Like... you got attacked by zombies? Ewwww!"
Oh, she was very very glad she hadn't gone out, even if it had been lonely. The great empty maw of the doorway didn't seem as scary now... not with her squad at her side. She glanced at it over her shoulder and squeezed Seven's arm.
"Are... are we like, gonna go in?" she whispered.

Zeta Eight tilted her head slightly as Alpha Seven scooped up the petite Alpha Two, her mask following their motion until he'd swung her all the way, his half-laughing words not fooling her in the least. That might have been his default, but it didn't mean it was the way he was truly feeling, and faced with the circumstances, there was an inkling of something more in the way he had replied, the way he spun towards her when she said his name. She, of course, remained seated where she was, undaunted by his crude language, which only confirmed her suspicions ever the more. And, of course, she remained ever silent all through his speech, carefully hiding whatever thoughts might have been turning the cogs of her mind.
At Alpha Two's curiosity, she turned to glance in her direction, nodding a simple affirmation to Alpha Nine's assessment of what had happened. There really wasn't much else to say -- they had been zombies, in the most basic definition of the undead. There was no need to describe the bloodlust. They'd had enough of that when they'd been alive, regardless. However, it seemed Alpha Two hadn't quite grasped what Alpha Nine had said.
"We were the zombies."
The words were blunt, her tone a little cool, although not particularly aimed towards the girl. Perhaps there were other things on her mind.
"And that would be an accurate assumption."
