Nero's ears tilted back a bit. "Hey, are you alright?" He lightly tapped James on the shoulder. "Is something wrong?"

James was shaking, "They're everywhere... We can't stop them!" he said, "We don't stand a chance." he put his hands over his head and whimpered.

Nero was more than a little worried now. He tried waving his hand in front of James's face. "Hey! Are you alright?" He then looked to Lunea, "Did I do something? D-does this happen often?"

James looked at everyone, "Why? Why did he have to die?" he asked, before he stood up and walked towards the elevator. He was whimpering, and tears were in his eyes.

Shadow whimpered and ran after James, yelping, "J-James?!" As he ran into the elevator before it closed and wrapped his arms around him, cuddling into him as he frowned and whispered, "James, p-please snap out of this... I don't like what's happening to you..." He whispered with a whimper, nuzzling him to make him feel better.

James backed into a corner of the elevator, and sat on the floor, "They all are dead, Shadow." he said, "All of them, I was the only survivor." he looked up, "The LT, Comms, Gunny, Ringo... Johnny... all of them." he started sobbing, "It's my fault. I shouldn't have been leader. And now I got a damn medal for being a damn survivor." he sniffed, and looked at the elevator doors as they opened. He stood up and looked at Shadow, "Everyone I meet leaves me in one way or another." he told him, before going to his room, not bothering to close the door. He went to the balcony and sat in a chair, looking at a pair of dog-tags.

Lunea looked at Nero. "I... I don't know... I myself met him only this morning...Uh.." Lunea was at a loss for words.. She looked over at Nero sadly. "I got here last night and I've already learned that these guys have some problems. But who doesn't?" Lunea looked at Nero sadly..

"I see. Well, you're right. If one claims not to have problems, they're either insane or a liar." Nero looked down for a moment, then turned his gaze back to Lunea. "Should we go see if he's alright, or is that being too intrusive?"

James James lit a cigarette, not a common habit he had. And he shakily looked out over the city, he started to regain his former self, "I must've looked stupid." he said, then sighed, "Maybe I should go... there's nothing here for me." he told himself.

Shadow whimpered as he walked up to him and tugged on his shoulder, turning him around and hugging him softly, whispering, "Shayla and I are here for you, please don't leave, you're my best friend..." He whimpered out softly as a tear started to stream down his cheek, nuzzling into James as he cried softly.

James sighed, "Yeah? Well, Shayla was right, I was ******** up in the war and now it's showing." he pointed at him, "You left me for Shayla, Shayla left me for the Underground... John's dead. Everyone else was cheating on me. I give up." he told him.

Shadow growled at him and whimpered, continuing to cry as he nuzzled tightly into him, yelping out, "No! I won't let you leave me! You're my best friend, I'd do anything for you, and Crystal loves you too! You're not just going to walk out on her, or are you, and leave this whole friendship, and my daughter behind?!" He growled out at him with angered eyes, expecting an answer.

James stood up, and growled, "Shadow, as much as I'd hate to disappoint you, yes, I'm leaving everything and starting over. My life has been a load of crap. I'm might just go back to the underground..." he thought about it, "Hm..."

Shadow stared at him and growled at him, looking at him with disgusted eyes, "So, I guess this is it. After all we've been through, you're going to play the p***y and leave everyone behind, including me and my daughter. You make me sick. Never set foot in this hotel again. You betrayed me and my daughter, as a friend and a man. Goodbye, James. Forever. You might as well tell Crystal that you're taking her virginity and running." He said in an unforgiving tone, walking out of his room and going downstairs as he walked to his new friends, a tear slipping down his cheek as he wiped it off.
