"Kibakichi-san?" Iyasu looked to the stable master with conern in her eyes, "Are you all right? Are you not feeling well again?" She stood up from her seat and was ready to him if he was indeed ill.
'Perhaps my confession was too much? Maybe I am in the wrong and he is just being polite to the naive girl infront of him . . .' She thought to herself uneasily.

I try to settle to the idle thoughts in my head, and line them up so I can produce a worthy tale. Yes I am fine. I take a sip of my tea, take a deep breath and begin to speak, telling a story I've never told anyone before. First you must excuse me for this tale is not for the faint of heart. Do you think you can handle it, milady? I do not want anything I say to offend you.

"Kibakichi-san, I do not have a faint heart. If your story deals with blood and other such details, that will not disturb me." She responded softly, taking her seat once more next to him. "Please, share your tale."

As you wish, like I said before you left I was found, by a monk, admist the wreakage of my hometown, badly wounded, my body was nearly cut to ribbons, and a sword was impaled into my chest, narrowly missing my heart. But somehow I was still alive.

She nodded listening to him, her eyes showed a yearning to learn more. Her heart and mind was always open to learn more.

I was around three when this happened so I don't remember much. Just flashes of images, sounds, and smells. The monk removed the sword and cleaned out the wound. He picked me up and carried me to bu-jitsu master who lived high in the mountains on Hokkido, I think. He told me over the next several days he watched the wound heal at a almost supernatural rate. The bu-jitsu master was one of the best in Japan, but he had a reputation of being very strict, I mean very strict. I was awake and walking beside the monk by this point. (I've thought long and hard about this for a while so you'll have to excuse me.)

((Of course.))
Iyasu nodded, listening very closely to the samurai's story. Thoughts and memories came to her like the swimming gold and brightly painted carp in vast peaceful ponds found around their home land. At sound of the mountians, her eyes widened slightly.
"May I ask you a question?" She asked him suddenly, "If I am being rude, forgive me . . . Kibakichi-san, you were taken to the mountians as a young child . . . as you grew up, did you know of any villages near by your Master's home?" To meet a fellow per chance in the same region from which she had dwelled for most of her life would be amazing. It would be splendid to have common ground with someone outside of the geisha world.

((Just letting you know, stress from school and family has been taking a toll on my health. I may not be gaia as often because of it or because of LOADS of projects over the Christmas break. I'll do my best to keep up.))
"I see . . . Thank you for answering my question." She said with a small smile, as she poured a little more tea for the story teller out of habit.

I bow my head and say. No problem anyway. The monk told him he has new unique student with potential. I looked up to find the sensei's cold eyes looking upon me. I got down on my knees and bowed. "On your feet, boy." He said in a cold stern voice. I looked up at him, I could the monk say "Ooo a stubborn one, I'll leave him to you Sensei." I heard the monks footsteps leave and the door shut. "I said on your feet!" Sensei shouted as spun around doing a spinning back heel kick, his heel connecting with my temple, sending me rolling across the floor. I slowly climbed to my feet, growling fiercly at him my teeth were bared, after a few more hits and I rose to my feet, blood dripping from head and nose I said with eyes filled with tears. "Yes Sensei." "That's better." He said he beginning to smiling softly. "Come, we have lot of work to do." He turned and gestered me to follow. "Yes Sensei." Eight years passed, through Sensei's guidance and meditation had grown into a strong and agile, young man. He called me Kibakichi meaning Odd One. My body was covered in strange stripe-like scars, from my childhood tragedy, anyway I traveled with him across the country learning with educatiors, scholars, generals, and alcamists. One of the teachers told me my Sensei was a dragon. Yea right. Sensei introduced me has Kibakichi, his best student, in fact I was his only student, his dojo was not doing so well. So that made sparring so much fun. sweatdrop One day back at the dojo when I was finishing up my chores, I saw two figures approching, the wind blew their scents towards me. (It's fine I'm still working out the kinks in this story anyway.)

She nodded and continued to listen to Kibakichi's story. His story was extraordinary. She had not a clue about the scars, nor that his name meant 'Odd One.' The young lady leaned forward a little, like a child listening to a captivating radio show.
"What happens with the two figures, Kibakichi-san?" Iyasu asked eagerly.

Akira smiled and appeared next to Iyasu. "Yo!" He said, giving his one eyed smile. "Long time no see." He looked to the other man. "Ah! Soo sorry! Am I interrupting something?" He asked sincerely, looking back to Iyasu.

She looked up and quite startled by the sudden appearance of Akira. How he was able to sneak by samurai was quite astonshing, however it did not matter now. He still looked the same with his long hair covering the one eye. When they last met, she had just started out as a geisha with her first younger sister. Now she had matured and had two younger sisters now. She was the music teacher and she was filling in for another teacher in the dance class. This would be the first time Akira would ever see Iyasu without her white make up and looking rather dishovelled.
"Akira-san! It is pleasure to see you again!" The young geisha responded standing up and then bowing to him, "This is my dear friend, Kibakichi-san. He is the owner and master of the stables now. He was just telling me a story about his life . . . I do not think he would not mind if you joined us. Would you like some tea and rice?" She asked putting up her geisha front, dispite her looks of bare skin and messy hair. It seemed that the answer she had longed for from Kibakichi would stay an indefinate mystery. Her curse would linger on and win it would seem.
"When I last saw you, you told me that I might never see you again. How have your travels treated you to bring back to Kyoto?" Iyasu asked cheerifully, doing her best to hide her secret pain. She felt herself become faint, but she braced herself on the stove's front before she turned around with the tea in hand.

Devin_Akira Akira narrowed an eye at her, watching her carefully, but didnt say anything. "Actually. I was brought here by rumors. A girl I am looking for. Remember what we talked about before? Well, I came here on just that. She has been very ill lately, and I was curious as to meet her."
Akira nodded and smiled. "Would you happen to know her? I dont know her name I am afraid, but she might have long blue hair. That is what I was told. She is very short too. Four foot five. But shoot!" He pouted to himself. "No name..."
This seemed to set Akira into a fit of thought, contemplation, and confusion. "So sorry. Just...Its been so hard you know...And I am finally so close..maybe..."
Then he started to mumble to himself comically. Akira looked back to Iyasu.
"Iyasu-sama. You look so much more beautiful without your makeup. Please bear that in mind. I know you dont have too much choice, being a geisha, but do remember that!" He winked characteristically.
