 Mia didn't even have to tell Blaze to dodge; as soon as the Growlithe noticed the Zangoose running straight at him with her sharp claws, he quickly jumped out of the way. The small Pokemon smirked; his dodge had been successful.
"Good, now attack! Use Bite." Mia called out to her Pokemon. Upon hearing his master's orders, Blaze started running towards the bigger Pokemon, mouth wide open, ready to sink his fangs in the Zangoose's skin.

The attack missed as the Zangoose's claws would strike only sand. The stuff would float around in the air in a cloud of sand ....as his tail swishes from one side to another as he turns around swiftly. His eyes narrowed ....as his eyes would lock upon the Growlithe as he turned swiftly as he brings up his paws to try and defend his most vital areas from the gapping jaws of the pokemon.
If his luck was strong, those claws would catch those jaws and keep them from closing on his paws. Though that is only if he was truly lucky ...as he fell backwards with that attack.

Unfortunately, the Zangoose wasn't so lucky; the Growlithe still managed to sink his fangs into his side. Blaze then quickly backtracked, returning to his original position, ready to defend himself against whatever attack would come his way.

[Okay, how to figure out damage ....damage is figured out by first finding the differences in the dice rolls.
14 - 11 = 3
Then finding the differences in the attack and defense.
Which is 8 - 7 = 1
Then adding them together which is 4dmg.
This changes depending on the move and whether or not the attack is special attack, which means it's subtracted by the special defense.]

The Zangoose slid backwards lightly as her tail flares up behind her. She hadn't expecting such a powerful bite as she pushes hard to try and relieve herself of the pain ....and the extra weight as she would move to push the pokemon away only to discover that it was already gone.
The white pokemon wasn't happy ....as she snarls and touches one paw to her side. It came away red .....there was blood ...pain, and with a growl she would rush forward again with the intent of making him claw punish him as she went for a scratch to match that bite.

But once again, the Growlithe proved to be just a little bit faster than the Zangoose; he had managed to jump out of the way just in time to avoid being scratched by the bigger Pokemon.
"Great, now use bite once again, but aim for his other side now" Mia called out to her Pokemon, with a smile on her face. They were doing good.
The small Pokemon nodded as he dashed towards the bigger Pokemon, ready to deal some damage to his other other side.

The Zangoose's tail would flick in a bit more impatiences then now. Her eyes would narrow to points as she tries to keep her paws steady as she saw that smug look on the pokemon's face. The call to battle, the final charge ....she could sense it all ....as she drew her claws to herself once more as her claws whirled through empty air.
As she brought them back to their original ...position and she tries not to let her fangs show angrily. She needed to keep calm ...she couldn't lose her cool, her rash behavior had already scored one wound and she refused to have another as she tries to push off from the ground and using her claws as a balancing point she would try to flip over to her paws.
Her body shooting forward as she looks back to see if she was safe or not.

Running towards the Zangoose, Blaze noticed it pull off some kind of maneuver but that didn't stop him. He kept running straight to where he intended on biting his foe.
After a few seconds, the Zangoose would feel a sharp pain coming from her other side as Growlithe managed to bite down hard on her skin.

[Sorry about that, also ....Criticals and Fumbles ...when a pokemon rolls a 1 or a 20 they will get a critical or a fumble. A fumble is a 1, while a critical is a 20, in which, the dice roll is enhanced by 1 or decreased in this case since it's a fumble. But, it only applies to the phase in which it was rolled, so, attack roll for now on for Zangoose is -1. ]
The Zangoose 's claws found air once more ....as she struck with one and then two claws ...which each one as avoided by the Growlithe. Her thrust being her second claw into the sand as she pulled it out and tries to launch herself backwards and away from those fangs. Those fangs that she was starting to fear ...as her eyes narrowed and a bit of desperation flooded her vision as it locks on the Numel.
"Zangoose ..zan."
She actually pleaded to the pokemon as the Numel simply shook her head in an obvious no. She wasn't coming to her aid, and she wasn't going to get any help for this fight ....as she saw that the Growlithe was coming from her again .....as he needed to get away from those attacks as she sliced her claw downwards and tries to force the sand upwards enough to hide her from the sight of the Growlithe.

[+1 to Zangoose's defense ....yeah, it can get confusing.]
But, the Growlithe would find his maw free from fur ...this time ...the Zangoose had managed to a void ....as the pokemon this time seemed to have decided the best way to defend is to keep up the attack ...as the pokemon would turn back towards their opponent. Her eyes were focused on her opponent she aims once again towards her opponent as she ran at full speed to meet him ....a claw would slice once aimed at his chest ...as she skidded to a stop on the other side of him.
Hopefully she had managed her attack ....if not .....well she wasn't going down easily.

The Growlithe's attack might not have gone through, but his dodge did. He managed to avoid getting scratched by the Zangoose's scary claws once more, but for how long could he keep this up. The Growlithe was getting a tad bit tired from all of the running around.
"Repeat your last attack. Use Bite on his other side," Once again, the Growlithe nodded and aimed for the Zangoose but this time, he didn't have far to run; Blaze ran to a 180 angle to the other side of the Zangoose and charged, jaw open, ready to attack.

Though the Zangoose had found a little trick ...it had saved her the last time, and hopefully it would do the same this time ...as she would aim and thrust her paw into the sands and then yank it out fast ...causing a high arch of sand to twirl in the air.
The pokemon had missed before because of the shield of sand, and maybe just maybe it would miss again ....as she turns to the side in an attempt to try and dart out of the way of his jaws.
This was a long fight, and even the Zangoose had to admit it was tiring her out.

In mid-attack, the Growlithe noticed the Zangoose's paw thrusting into the sand and all of a suddenly, the Growlithe couldn't see the Zangoose anymore. Safe to say, his attack missed.
"Follow my voice and come back here" Mia called out, hoping he would do as instructed and make his way out of the sheild of sand.
Blaze followed his owner's voice and soon enough, he saw her standing there. Blaze immediately took a defensive stance, ready to block or dodge any incoming claws.
