He noticed, but decided not to say anything about it. Instead, he called, "Honeysweet, remember to be careful. I don't want any dhampirs running around."
Val stared back at Rincewind for a moment, wondering if she'd mesmerized him with some vampire power she didn't know about, then glanced at Alek. "If there are any dhampirs scurrying about, they'll be yours and Ceri's."

"He isn't mesmerized. He's just surprised a female is taking an interest in him." Vilrath chuckled.

Ceri walked away from Alek. She didn't want to be the reason of family tension. "We're almost there...." she said. She put her hair up again. "I'm going to go ahead and warn the dwarves. The group should stay here.."

"Mm, but I want to come with." There was a pout to his voice and on his lips. "And if I carry you we can be there so much faster." He was faster than Angel; he could go about ten km/h faster than her.
"Well, he shouldn't. He's cute." Val pinched Rincewind's cheek. "Ceri, you really should take my brother with you. If you don't, he'll follow you anyways."

Ceri sighed. "Fine. Only because he'd follow me anyway, and without me, they'd probably try to kill him," she said, putting a hand on her hip. She ran a hand through her hair. "Everyone, stay here and rest. We'll be back in a little bit."
((is it just me or has Ceri assumed role of leader?))

Alek paused a moment. "So... can I carry you?"
"No putting your hands in naughty places, sugarsweet," Val said with a smirk. "And stay safe." She touched a finger to her lower lip, their silent I love you. She nearly cried out in joy when he returned it.

Ceri looked at him. "The only way I would be even remotely comfortable with that is if I were on your back...." she said. "And I'm not willing to do that....." She blushed and started to fast walk into the woods. She left the orb of light with the other travelers.

"Fair enough," he said, walking with her, occasionally using low branches to swing for a moment before catching up quickly to Ceri. "So, I might be jealous of Val for the first time."

"How is that?" she asked, looking ahead. THey were making good time. She was still blushing on the thought of her being carried. She didn't like the idea, because the last time she had been carried, it was because she was really sick. She didn't want to go through that again.

"She's getting laid tonight, without any help from me... or by me." He sighed. "They grow up so fast." This was funny for the fact that she was a year older than him, and they were over a hundred.

"So you're jealous that your incestuous lover is getting laid and it's not by you...." said Ceri, giving him a mean look. "I never knew the minds of men, and now I know why." She then kept walking in front of him, not wanting to look at him.

"No, just that she's getting laid in general." He caught up with her. "We really only did it, like, three times. More of a pass-the-time thing than anything. You'd be surprised how little there is to do in a secluded manor. Angel was happy with her garden, but me and Val aren't three at heart."

Mala leaned against a tree, somewhat patiently awaiting the two's revenge. Once they were out of earshot she said, "So, who bets one of them f*cks something up with their chances with the other?"
