~I need you to need me~~Avien Rothenburger~
Avien was thrilled to get a call! The only thing that made him a little uneasy was the whole bar setting. He hadn't been in one since his last nasty break-up and well, it wasn't a pretty sight! Well, he shouldn't worry about something like that happening again now. He was going to be with Kade! Nothing mattered as long as he was chatting up that cue little stylist. He really was infatuated, but it's not like he would let the boy know that. It would probably make him uncomfortable, since he was still trying to be straight from what the man could understand.
Leaving from the backdoor as Clark and Keith had entered the front, he made his way to the bar quickly, looking as fabulous as ever. He really did owe the other one for fixing him up after that hygiene disaster... Of course, to a straight guy, it would have seemed perfectly acceptable, but to Avien is was like committing a crime! Hm... yes, it would be nice to see Kade again...
And he did spot him once he opened the door, a soft smile on his lips as always as he strode over to be beside him. "Hey~" ~Or else my purpose is unclear~

 Kade didn't have to wait long, thankfully! He was soon smiling up at Avien who had come just as stylish as always~! He patted the seat beside him to motion for the man to sit down, “Hiii! Nice hair~!” He commented almost proudly with a glance at the red highlights. Yep, his work! He should be happy about it! Especially when it was worn on something Kade would totally consider model material. In fact, he almost wanted to ask if the guy had tried it, but Avien didn't strike him as the sort to be that confident. Pity, since it would be nice to get a spread of him to add to his – NO. Bad, Kade! Really, it was like rampant homo-fantasies going in the man's head! He was supposed to be daydreaming about a woman to hold hands with and picnic under the stars, while cuddling in her large, muscly arms before falling asleep~ ...Hmm.. There was something off there, but Kade didn't have a clue what it was. “I figured you haven't seen much of the town, soo you should get to know the hottest place here! I don't like hanging around here personally, but it's pretty popular and.. there's normally strippers. If that's your thing.” He shrugged in disinterest. Another thing Kade thought should be odd with Bela working here, but he didn't have the faintest clue.

x████████xGEM and MATT and BEAx████████x "Mister Randall, you are a terrible liar."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Much to Matthew's chagrin, Gemma had demanded to know his workplace. And it's not that he minded having her hanging around, but to actually see Bela and Keith on stage? Although Matthew was sure she wasn't a virgin by now, there was just something of an instinct that rejected of taking Gemma to a place like that. But, hadn't Carly met her most significant friend in ST in the Strip Club, too? He begrudgingly agreed, much to Gemma's odd delight.
But, one thing one would instantly notice, was Gemma's clothes. She seemed... overdressed, compared to the other ladies. For all her weirdness, she dressed like one of those classy mom figures. "So, this is where all the drama seems to go down." Gemma said, breaking through his thoughts. Her voice seemed indifferent, detached.
"Oh, uh, yeah." Matthew said dumbly, nodding his head at his older cousin. Upon a glance, there was a rather tame atmosphere. Keith or Bela must be scheming something... no, wait, he had seen Keith on his way here. Really, when anything was quiet and peaceful, Matthew automatically assumed the duo was up to something. But, Bela... not so much. Looked like she was playing a new customer; at least, that's what it appeared, anyway.
There was the usual group, the regulars; plus some others. Oh, was that Tess? Last time he'd seen her she was... with some other guy he'd never seen before. "Avoid Dracula, Heil Hitler and Elizabeth Taylor over there." Matthew leaned down to whisper into her ear, which was unneeded by their distance. Counting off Vladimir(Obvious Reasons), Hansel(Obvious Reasons) and Walter(Violet eyes) in his own little way. Pip had been a little occupied with Alice, but the Frenchman knew Matt and Gemma certainly looked over 18; or even 21!
Gemma's chocolate brown eyes fell upon the little group. Although she couldn't tell exactly who 'Elizabeth' was, she could very well understand Dracula and German boy over there. She'd otherwise assume Integra, or even Bela to be Matt's 'Elizabeth.' And instead of actually avoiding them, that's exactly where she went. Matthew really wondered what was going through that woman's mind half the time, if not all of it. One would think he'd learn to keep his mouth shut.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Excuse me, who's Elizabeth Taylor?"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course, Bela didn't know if he was being truthful or not; but when someone pulled this on someone else, they either caved or actually denied it even more vehemently; screwing over whatever they were hiding even more. However, Ferris seemed smart. And if he was, well, he'd calmly state he wasn't and not make a show about it. She maintained a leveled look on his eyes, once she saw a rather familiar stalwart figure in her periphery, she broke the contact. Matt was here! It's not that she didn't like how Walter whipped up her drinks, she actually like the visual aesthetic, but she couldn't trust him with her drinks very much. If only because he could poison it, if he so wished.
And... who was that? That certainly wasn't the broody blond he usually brought, this one was smaller; pixie-like even. What was she, 5'3"? And, frankly, she was exceptionally ordinary. She was cute, but ordinary. Unbeknownst to Bela, however, was the inner workings that went on in that woman's head. Poor blond beauty.
Bela = Beauty, Brawn. Gemma = Brains.
Having given the whole thing only a moment's notice, she returned her attention back on Ferris. Awaiting the director's answer.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When Gemma was between the group of wolves, Matthew simply shook his head. Sigh. And then there was Tess to think about! He felt a bit awkward in the whole sense that he blew her off for work, though it wasn't his fault! He stood there rather awkwardly, not knowing what to say. 'I'm sorry I blew you off, hope you had fun with that other guy...?' No, that just sounded ridiculous; and even a little jerk-ish of him. Especially since the other woman was clearly interested in him, even if just a bit.
Instead of looking anymore like an idiot, he instead walked over to the young miss with that easy grin of his. There was something boy-ish about how his -very slightly- crooked teeth, made his smile just a little more charming and unique. "Tess," he started, his eyes looking off to the side a moment. "I never got to properly apologize for how I acted on New Year's Eve. I mean, you obviously wanted to keep the conversation going and I had a lot of work to do..." Matt started ramble, which just seemed rather odd of the big, usually stoic, man.
"And I was wondering if there was any way I could make it up to you?" He asked, those pretty clear blues falling on Theresa. Not that he minded if she asked for a free drink or anything... she was, thankfully, not blond and didn't have green eyes, either. Furthermore, just the fact that she was a brunette, like Gemma and his own mother, he found himself to be a little more relaxed around her. Not tense or rigid, like when he was with either Carly or Bela. Sure, he had to be ringing up and serving drinks, but the whole ignoring Tess thing had felt really... ungentlemanly, on his part. x████████xR and C and Jx████████x

 FERRIS RANDALL
The man smiled to himself, taking another sip of his drink. He wasn't lonely. Just because he severely lacked in the friends and romantic partners department didn't mean he was lonely. He was busy, like he said, and didn't care too much for collecting friends. It didn't much matter to him. The only connections you were meant to keep was that of family, all others were superficial.
At least four or five other people seemed to flood into the club at once, Ferris wondered wether or not the graveyard shift was open. Business seemed to be looking up.
"I may be a terrible liar, but I'm not lying." he took another sip, finishing it off. He'd wait for this one to really set in before opening another one. "Maybe I choose to be alone, but I'm not lonely." He smirked at the blonde. "If that makes any sense to someone like you." He turned towards the girl in his stool, waiting for her to respond. This was proving to be an okay conversation.

"Oh thanks! You know, I just have the best stylist in town, so I can't really take any credit for how good it looks," he replied to Kade's complimenting his hair before taking a seat next to the boy. Yeah, clearly the boy's 'trying to be straight' thing wasn't working so well if he was still marveling. Sure, Avien was an extremely attractive man, and had considered modeling before, but just never got around to it. When would he have had the time? He was working, or at school, or helping out with the family. There was no real time for him, especially if he had someone special or was playing counselor.
He just nodded to what the boy had to say about their location. It seemed like a nice enough joint, and he was kind of glad that there wasn't really any stripping going on. But he assumed at this point that since Clark and Keith were no here that something was going on. Looks like another awkward morning for Clark, not that he was particularly thrilled about his choice in men. At least he wasn't being a hard a** like their father and condemning homosexuality all together... He was experimenting... Avien could just hope to never walk on said experimenting ever again. Seeing him getting blow was quite enough in the way of scarring mental images.
He shouldn't be thinking about all that though while he was sitting here with Kade! "So, how you been since I last saw you?" innocent enough question, right? After all, he was just there to be a friend... for now... Yes, he was still keeping Kade in the file of potential love interests in his brain, but he'd try and not let that show so much. Flirting was kind of expected though, since that's something he naturally did when around someone he liked. Was he insane for already liking someone so soon? Hell, it was no sooner than Clark hooked up with someone... Though, he was pretty sure Clark was an emotional wreck for it. Avien was above that! Sort of... Okay, lies, he falls harder than anyone. But that didn't mean he couldn't try and not hit on the boy. ~Or else my purpose is unclear~

 __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ - Alice 'Madame Mia' Ladd - __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "You don't need to quit anything Pip..." replied Alice at first, taking a moment just to let Pip's words linger in her mind. She wasn't about to really think on that now. Was it her fault? Was it his fault? The woman didn't really care about that anymore... all she knew was that she was the one that was screwed over from it. Had she blamed herself, of course she did. Even if she shouldn't... "Don't..." It really was starting to bother her each time Pip went on about love. But instead of just shoving those words away, she thought of something. It was quite possibly stupid but... "Prove it." If he was so sure about love... then... "Convince me otherwise."

  Theresa's attention had been on Walter, waiting for the Brit to answer her question patiently enough. Well, as patient as the woman can seem in a quiet place like this. She missed all the hustle and bustle of New Year's already and without a stripper or two swinging around to some tune, the place was dead. Maybe a little bit of chatting here and there, but everyone was so.. She didn't know how to describe it, but the only voice she could pick out was interesting was Kade's, but, yeah, her brother. Of course she could pick him out! She did turn her head to watch some other guy approach, raising an eyebrow. Were they..? Hanging out..? Ah! She knew he had a damned friend! Always griping about how everyone he knew wasn't the 'same' anymore.. She knew he was just being whiny. She smiled at the discovery and watched the two talk, once again wondering why all the hot guys seemed to be gay. She'd seen a picture of Yoakim before once and, damn, was all she could say – same went with Avien.. Or maybe Kade was just lucky?
Ah, but so was she~! At least in a small way. When she heard a voice pipe up behind her, she turned to watch like the curious observer she was and smiled in a more friendly, broad way, nothing soft or maternal about it as it had been when she looked at her brother. Matthew was in! Huh, she guessed he was just late then.. Or in the back or something. Then again, she also came in a little earlier than usual, so it shouldn't be that unusual. She was just happy her usual bar-buddy was there for her to hang out with, now that it looked like Kade was gonna ditch her for whoever that guy was. Before she could edge a quip on making her wait, the man had already started. The grin caught her off guard, so she only flipped her body around to lean back against the bar, her elbows resting comfortably on them to keep her still standing. Her eyebrows lifted slowly in surprise as he seemed to rush that out awkwardly, rambling in a way that reminded her only of high school. Yep, he reminded her completely of being asked out for the prom by the awkward, quirky guy – it was weird. Mostly because back then she would have laughed and flipped him off. Thank God she wasn't a teen anymore.
She did laugh, though. She bounced back from the bar and waved a hand at him, “There isn't a need to, Matt. It's a risk I took to bug you during work on New Year's Eve of all days.” Theresa shrugged at him. It wasn't like she didn't enjoy herself at all. Of course, she would have preferred hanging out with Matt over a one night stand, but, she didn't have very much hope for anything to happen. She just liked to trick herself into believing it would – kind of a childish fantasy game, “Although, I've been meaning to get you out of here. Don't think it's healthy to live and breath on alcohol and cigar smoke.” With that, she jabbed a thumb back to where tall, dark, and broody was, sitting next to a barely legal blondie. She'd been in here a couple of times during her stay, she knew the guy lit up a cigar almost every time she saw him. “So, if your cool with hanging out with me without it being pegged as 'making up', we could go get a cup of coffee sometime.” After drinking Hawaiian Rednecks everytime she went out, some coffee did sound refreshing.
~~~
Aha, best hairstylist in town! Kade's chest couldn't help puffing up with pride at that statement. No one said that! Outside of his sister, but family rarely counted when it came to confidence. Well, after he left the nest, that is. The most Kim did was.. er. He really needed to stop comparing the two. It would just become a horrible habit and then he'd end up all.. bitter! Just imagine, a bitter Kade! One who yelled at people and their silly antics, looked down on young lovers, and had, like, no friends and a lonely lovebird in a cage! ..It was a very good thing Kade didn't think too hard on that thought, or else he'd be starting to gulp down tequila shots. Which wouldn't take that many, considering wine coolers were usually the hardest thing he drank. Otherwise, he'd be the town whore in maybe three hours.. four, tops. Or sixteen seconds if he could get onto that stage without falling flat on his face.. Oh, right, he shouldn't be calculating stuff like that. Focus on the hot platonic friend! ..Hot platonic friend who needed a drink! So, as straight friends, he had already learned that.. fruity drinks were a no. That was more of a girl friend thing, then. Really, you'd think Kade never had a male friend before. ..Wait! O'Malley! What did O'Malley drink? Whiskey.. shots of whiskey! Well, out of the bottle, but whiskey shots were basically the same thing!
“Hold that thought, sug- Avien.” Ah, almost slipped there too! Damn, Kade needed to keep it together! He was gonna fail at this if he didn't pay attention! He lightly scolded himself while waving over the active bartender, “Whiskey shots – um, two?” He held up the number of fingers to Walter to make sure the man got it. Yes, drinking a real man's drink! He couldn't remember the last time he had whiskey! ..Really, he couldn't, he had passed out after 'some time' and the bits he did get he would rather not remember. In fact, if he did think back on it, he probably would have noticed that this wasn't a good idea at all. But, Kade only turned back to Avien. “So, what was that? How I've been..? Um.” He thought on that for a second. Since he last saw Avien.. Fabulous. No, really, he had actually felt a little better since then! Sure, he hadn't left his RV for anything but work, but, still, better than sulking in the corner, writing hateful diary entries towards Kim and Ellie.
“Pretty good! I got a new pet for junior, since he's been carrying around that rock since Stocking Day.. It's kinda cute, but, he's nine, he should have his own pet, right?” It was true~ The kid needed to do something if he wasn't going to go out and play with the other kids! Kade felt kinda bad leaving him with nothing, but he seemed pretty happy to just sit in his room and play that one video game he came with. It wasn't long for the shots to be pushed towards them and Kade raised an eyebrow. He.. had done some shots before, but, uh.. he didn't remember them being that small. No, wait, that's why they were called shots, silly! He shook his head – he was just happy he hadn't commented outloud on it~ So, without further ado, he threw one back and winced, “Oh, God, that's..” He took a breath – bitter. He had it before, but never so.. quick like that. It was only small sips at a time! When he was depressed and probably would have downed a whole bottle without much care! ..He swallowed and set the cup down. “Really good. Sorry, um, been a bit since I had some.” Try almost a year.
((Since ze Princie is off (last I checked), Walter handed ze drinks. >:'o ))
~I need you to need me~~Avien Rothenburger~
A smirk slipped over Avien's features as he down his shot, not even making a face. Yeah, he was experienced in the ways of hard liquor... for reasons he'd rather not reveal, of course, but it made his liver well trained to deal with the stuff. "Honestly, I didn't picture you to be the type to do straight whiskey shots... Now, blueberry vodka, maybe... You ever had flavored vodka?" It was something that Avien had a lot of in the past, through drinking games and depression. "And you don't have to worry about giving me nicknames or anything... I don't mind. We are friends after all, right?" he emphasized the word 'friends' to let him know he wasn't going to try anything and that he should just relax and have a good time chatting. After all, Avien knew that a good friend was all the boy needed right now to be stable enough, and have faith in the world.
Avien had already made up his mind about tonight, just after the boy had ordered the shots. If Kade got shitfaced tonight, he'd watch out for him and not let him do anything he'd regret. What kind of friend (and hopeful love interest?) would he be if he let the boy destroy himself?
"You have an adopted son?" he could conclude this, as clearly Kade was gay, whether he wanted to admit it or not, and he called him Junior and was taking care of him. ~Or else my purpose is unclear~
 ..Blueberry vodka? Well, the word 'vodka' period he avoided since it was a bit hard to have around the RV, since he didn't want to expose Speckle or Yoakim Jr. to that stuff. He even kept the wine-coolers at work for that reason! And keeping anything harder than that? Where he was supposed to be working? Uh, no, it didn't sound like a good idea. He hadn't heard of an inspection coming all the way down to Nirvani, but he wouldn't risk that. So, he shook his head no and raised a hand to motion for another shot to Walter. The man wasn't serving very many other people, it wasn't like Kade needed to say wanted he wanted with the shot glass next to him like that. “Not really. I don't have anyplace to hide it at my place and I'm pretty sure my sister will take it all for herself if I did.” He added as the thought hit him. He didn't think of Tess, but the woman did take to alcohol like a fish to water. Or, he had assumed that since she came to the bar so often during her stay. 'The bar' should have clued Kade in on where he could give it a shot safely, but he was too preoccupied with understanding how Avien had drunken that without making any face at all!
It had him in awe while he waited for the next shot to attempt to have that self control too, frowning slightly as he told him the nicknames were okay. Well, he didn't know what nicknames he was thinking of! That idea had him hesitating – was there any 'manly' nickname to give another guy..? That wasn't sugarpop, honey, doll, sweetie.. That list stopped and he looked pretty contemplative as he asked, “You sure you don't mind nicknames? ..Like, you know, even if I called you something, like.. I don't know.. Honeybunny?” He didn't know if he hated saying that or not, but it did have a nice ring to it and it's original use wasn't really necessary anymore.. He took the second shot and tilted it in his hands, fiddling with it idly while waiting for that answer. He did take a second to nod at the kid question. It shouldn't matter much, right, if they were just friends? He knew it was kinda a putdown for most people around his age. “Mmhm, Yoakim Jr.! We – um, yeah.” He cleared his throat and focused on steadying himself for another shot, which was taking much longer than anticipated.
~I need you to need me~~Avien Rothenburger~
Avien smiled softly, "That wouldn't bother me in the least..." actually, yeah, it would have a bit of a pyschological effect on him, giving him hope, that would more than likely be hurled to the ground later and smashed to pieces, leading to another drunken episode that Clark would have to come rescue him from. Yeah, the cycle was vicious sometimes, but Kade didn't seem to be the kind of guy that was going to do that to him.... He was the kind he had to wait for. "I think that's really neat that you adopted a kid... They need love too you know. For me, I would probably consider doing that some day if my brother ever decides to grow up..." he let out a long sigh, thinking about Clark. He was probably getting more and more corrupt as the time went by that he spent with that Keith person... Oi~
"So I noticed that... you know what... never mind... I'm not going to bring it up..." he caught himself before he asked about the kids name. He could make some assumption here and say that the guy the kid was named after was the one that broke Kade's heart. BUT he as pretty sure that Kade wouldn't want to talk about that just yet, since they weren't that tight just yet. He'd wait to hear the boy's problem, and in the mean time would refrain from asking anything about it. ~Or else my purpose is unclear~
 Alright, bottom's up! Kade took a deep breath and downed the shot as quick as he could, forcing himself not to cough on it. It looked like he hadn't even had alcohol before! It was starting to annoy him, seriously! Knowing anyone Kade had ever hanged out with, Avien would probably think he was a total lightweight and was about to pass out! In fact, he bet he was waiting on it to.. to leave him at the bar! Alone! Because he couldn't drink shots without making a face! Jerk. Oh, but he'll show him~! Kade'd drink a dozen shots and then leave him at the bar! Before he could do it to him, since, umm.. Oh, Kade wasn't really thinking very straight at that moment, but not because of the alcohol – no, Kade always got oddly competitive with drinks. Wherever it stemmed from, it seemed to be a habit that he had to drink more than the other or else he was a total loser. It was a good thing Kade didn't participate in many drinking games.. Or maybe he had and he didn't remember them. Hm, that would have to be something to wonder on a different day.
“Good! Because I've liked that nickname for years and no one seems to like it at all!” He complained with yet another wave to the bartender, two more this time, but whether it was for him or Avien was.. yeah, okay, it was totally for Kade. He couldn't just drink twice as much as the man, it had to be, like, four times as much! That was quadruple a victory! He looked questioningly at the man at the mention of a brother. Was the guy mooching off of him or did he mean literally grow up? Before he could honestly wait for an explanation, though, he had another shot down and was looking quite proud of himself, proud enough to shake a hand at what the man said last. Sure, Kade didn't like talking about it himself and appreciated someone avoiding it for him, but outright saying it? It just made it so blatant that Kade was treating the break up like it mattered.
He rolled his eyes and giggled, “No, no, no, honey. Gosh, I'm so sick of people treading around it like some kind of landmine!” Was the fourth one here yet~? Dang, looks like he'll have to keep talking.. He started to stack the three glasses idly, “I adopted junior. with some jerk I dated for awhile, we broke up – or he did. He ran off with a friend of mine somewhere far from here.” He frowned and shrugged. It was short, quick, and lacked all the juicy details a gossip like Kade loved to add in, but it was much different gossiping about his own life than someone else's. Next shot here yet..? ..Oh, perfect timing! He thanked Walter and didn't waste any time getting that one down. Three in a row? Ah, yeah, Kade didn't know what the hell he was doing, but he knew he was just fine right then! “But, I didn't care much – it's not like we were really close. So,” Moving on in topic, he looked back at Avien, feeling more comfortable to leave the little glasses alone, “You have a brother?”
Avien just stared at him for an extra moment or two as he told what happened. No wonder he was trying to be straight now. He totally just admitted that he'd been in a gay relationship too, so there was pretending he wasn't ever gay in front of the man that already knew that he was. That was terrible that that happened. He couldn't even imagine how much the boy was dying inside. Well, he could get an idea by how much alcohol he was consuming, and how hard he was trying to hide the fact that is hurt so bad. Maybe consciously he convinced himself it wasn't a big deal, but subconsciously, he had to be dead compared to how he used to be. If only Avien knew who the boy was before.
Oh well, it didn't matter, it just made the older man want to help the younger one even more. He, in a sense, wanted to protect him from s**t like that, not that he really had much control over it. He frowned slightly when Kade told him what had happened, and the frown hung there until he asked about his brother. "Yeah, he's a real fire-ball... short fuse, but reliable when I needed him around the most..." really, they did help each other out, even though it seemed a lot of the time they just got in each other's way and tormented on another. Yeah, they were brothers after all, that's the way it was supposed to be.
He looked at the shot glasses and then at the boy that had downed the shots, "You alright Kade? That's a lot of shots to down in a short period of time..." back when he started drinking in high school, he was pretty much buzzed on his way to drunk when he had that much. Seeing as Kade usually only drank coolers from what he could understand, this was going to beat the sit out of the boy's liver, and do wonders for the rest of him while it was at it. Hm, yeah, he'd probably need someone to watch out for him if he kept drinking like that. Avien wouldn't get any further than buzzed tonight for that reason. ~Or else my purpose is unclear~
 Ah, while Avien gathered words up to respond to what Kade unloaded onto him, Kade was busy trying to pretend his vision wasn't.. blurry? Kinda, more like it was taking a little longer for it to.. get there. Really weird, but anyone who had been drunk before – like Kade – knew what this was. Just a tad above buzzed, wasn't it? ..Should he maybe try to go.. get another shot? Nooo. ...Yessss, that could be a good idea! Like.. like beat Avien more at his single shot and.. such. He wasn't in the mood to think too much, so all he did was react as he immediately wanted to – giggling up a storm! His brother sounded pretty.. Well, duh, if he was related to Avien, he would be pretty, but guys were supposed to be handsome and not pretty – so.. Yeah, basically, he sounded pretty different from Avien. He shook his head, “Fire-ball? Ooh, you better watch out, then, if he's got a short fuse! There's tons of people that would light it up really fast!” He glanced around at that and pointed at Bela who was chatting it up with some guy at the bar. “Like her! I do her hair sometimes – pretty, isn't it? Love blondes! Anyway, mmhm, she'll light him on fire like those others.”
He nodded and took a deep breath looking back at him for a long moment. ..Was he fine? He laughed and waved a hand, “Yes, I'm totally fine! I've done this, like, three.. three times before? I think..? Oh, no, not whiskey – that was once and it wasn't shots, more like a bottle from some guy.. It may not have been whiskey, too. But, he was Irish, and Irish drink whiskey, right? Yep.” He answered himself with a nod. Oh, was it hitting hard~ Well, Kade should have really saw this coming! At least he wasn't trying to make out with Avien.. or Bela. Or whoever was closest. That blond girl who he saw at junior's school looked cute too~! So was German guy.. and that.. girl.. with the dark hair, then that pink one.. By this point, he was basically staring off and mentally taking note of everyone he wouldn't mind getting with. Now that he was straight, there were plenty of options! But, didn't that mean no guys too..? Awe, this was gonna be harder than he thought~!
~I need you to need me~~Avien Rothenburger~
"I'm not so sure I believe you Kade..." he could see just by the way the boy was talking, moving and looking around that he was well on his way to being trashed. Avien shook his head a little at this. "Any reason you're downing so many shots?" Was there any reason Avien wasn't? He could take a lot before he got buzzed. The shot he had didn't do a damn thing to his system as he could really hold his liquor now. Kade, he couldn't, the poor boy.
Avien leaned a little closer to look at him, trying to judge how much more he could take. Yeah, he'd been a bar buddy many times, so he was skilled enough to know about how much more someone could take just looking at them. "Can you still stand up and walk straight?" he asked blinking a few times, peering into his eyes as he spoke. It wasn't for any kind of romantic feel or anything, he was trying to see if they were getting the way eyes get when you're getting closer to being drunk. ~Or else my purpose is unclear~
 Don't believe that he'd done this before..? Oh, come on, he had people to vouch for him! Gino, who.. moved away, O'Malley who.. also moved away, and Yoakim who, um.. That was already covered, wasn't it? He felt happy, he didn't want it spoiled by some stupid thought! He'd just keep smiling and paying attention to Avien. “You know~! You're cute! I mean, for a guy and if I wasn't straight~..” He giggled and drifted off from there, but a small slur was still detectable in his speech. Nothing severe, but it was obvious inhibitions were long gone and Kade was certainly getting really close to the average drunken state – if he wasn't already there, that is. “Reason? You know, I think you're just angry 'cause I'm not drunk yet. See, I'm not a lightweight in anything but, umm, the usual lightweight stuff that.. require weights.” He cleared his throat and went on after a second of what may have been thought, may have been him staring at nothing, “..Plus, they're not really that biiig. They're just small glasses, see?” He pointed out as he scooped one cup in his hand and held it up for Avien to get a double look, just in case he hadn't noticed. They were really cute~!
“You know, if these came in, like, blue or pink or.. oooh, purple..” Now where was he going with that? He forgot as Avien approached him and stared into his eyes, blue on blue~! Whatever he was up to, Kade simply stared back at him and eventually let out another soft chortle, “Honeybunny, we've been here for only, what, a little bit? I'm sure I'm fine~! You should try to drink some more too! The stuff gets better after the, um, something drink. It gets better.” Hm, after the third or fourth? He didn't pay attention.. He just knew he was feeling much better. And not that 'Yeah, I guess!' crap either – it was actual feel good! Like he could honestly think without thinking about all that icky stuff that happened. But, turning away from Avien when he had so obviously made a challenge on whether he could still balance himself felt like he was losing something.
Not one to turn down much of anything in this state – like most – Kade rolled his eyes, “Fine, fine, but you have to stand up too so I can make sure you're not the one who's all drunked.” He informed him and, without further ado, Kade stood up! ..To feel dizzy and sit back down mere seconds later. Bit too fast.. Alright, once again. He stood up and use the bar to make sure he was steady before letting go, smiling victoriously as he stood. Yep, may have a little sway, but he was fine~! “Are you gonna ask me to recite the alphabet too, officer?” He asked with a raised eyebrow before breaking into a laugh. Ah, Avien was much more of a strict-nun-type than Kade had thought~ Or maybe that was just because Kade was being less new-Kade and more.. silly-Kade? He didn't want to call it drunk, buuut even he had to subconsciously admit to that.
