Arielle Shore
Arielle looked up at Kedrick and smiled warmly at him, taking his hand. She sat the controller down on the couch and walked a few steps before turning to look at Kedrick, tilting her head in curiosity to the right. "So, what kind of desert do we have oh Master Kedrick?" She said it with such a serious look on her face that she broke out laughing. She was joking about calling Kedrick "Master" but it was interesting to say that nonetheless.
(I've returned~ And this post feels like crap = w =.)

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick just stared at her a moment, then he ducked his head, his face turning pink. He had almost gotten used to being caught staring, or holding her hand, even kissing her hadn't made him blush, but that? it definitely hadn't been expected. "Hm? well...I uh....I'm..I..." He stopped quickly realizing that he must sound idiotic. " I think there's some ice cream in the freezer..." He said quickly, then offered her and awkward smile. "sorry," He said apologetically. "you just caught me off guard." He gave her fingers a reassuring squeeze, to let her know that it was really alright. They stepped into the kitchen. With a shy smile, he dropped her hand and turned to the freezer. Pushing it open he began to rummage around inside, finally coming out with a tub of cookies and cream ice cream, but he looked distracted, a distant frown on his face.
( It's okay, you just need a post or two to get back in the game is all ^_^ )

Arielle Shore
Arielle giggled lightly, finding Kedrick's reaction somewhat cute. She smiled and only shrugged her shoulders, "I didn't mean to catch you off guard, but now you look cute blushing like that." Even though she was blushing at some of the forward statements, she couldn't help but find this entertaining. Maybe it was because she had finally realized that she had feelings for Kedrick and he had felt the same way about her. She sat and waited for the ice cream, unaware of the frown that was on Kedrick's face.
(So true. It took me awhile to think of a good response = w =. Also watching Avatar the Last Airbender >~<.)

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick glanced briefly up at her, a small smile touching the corners of his lips. He set the heavy tub of ice cream on the counter, the frost that had collected on the sides of the tub melted on contact with Kedrick warm fingertips. He ducked low, pulling open a draw and rummaging around inside for a scooper. After a moment, he produced one and stood back up, grabbing two porcelain bowls out of the cabinet. "hey Arielle..." He said contemplatively as he distractingly scooped the bowls full of ice cream. "I have...a question..." He set the bowls down on the table and sat across from her, looking up at her as though asking permission to continue.
((ah, Avatar is a good anime))

Arielle Shore
Arielle watched Kedrick quietly and then looked away, glancing around the kitchen. She was now paying more attention to the paint on the wall, trying to figure out what shade the color actually was. She was brought back to the real world when Kedrick said her name. She blinked a few times before looking at him, noticing that he had finished making their bowls of ice cream. As she took a small spoonful, she nodded, wondering if there was something bothering Kedrick. "Is something wrong?"

Kedrick Suwa
He chopped at his ice cream awkwardly with his spoon. "nothings wrong...Just a question..." he said uncertainly. He wondered if it was rude to ask something like this, it seemed like it could be taken as an invasion of privacy, prying into something she may not want to talk about. 'but still....' Kedrick thought. 'I've brought it up now, may as well ask...' He drew an uncertain breath before committing to the question. " I was just wondering...what was the reason.... I mean...why where you...why did you ever go to 'the pet shop'?" he asked, his face slightly pink. "is there some reason?"

Arielle Shore
"Okay," Arielle said with a small nod, continuing her enjoyment of her ice cream. She wouldn't rush him at all to ask her his question. She stopped eating her ice cream when Kedrick asked about the Pet Shop or how she got there. She slowly sat her spoon back down and sighed. How was she going to tell him? Just thinking about it made her feel sick to her stomach.
She pushed the bowl away and looked down, her entire attitude changing completely. She stood up and walked away from the table, but before she left the kitchen, she looked back at Kedrick sadly and sighed. "I lost my appetite and I'm feeling a little sick. I'll see you tomorrow morning."
Without even taking the time to hear what he had to say, Arielle turned her back to him and walked up to her room quickly, locking her door and sitting on her bed, hugging herself tightly.

Kedrick Suwa
He stood up quickly. "A...Arielle wait!" He called uncertainly. He stopped, feeling slightly ill, embarrassed, and ashamed. All he could think was. 'Kedrick that was so stupid....' He moaned softly 'I said something dumb....I hurt her feelings....I made her upset....' Numbly he picked up both bowls of ice cream, he to had suddenly lost his appetite. Hardly thinking, he set the two bowls into the freezer. He wished he had never asked, the night after the dance he had promised himself he would try never to make her upset...and now....with one careless question he had undone that. Now Kedrick was faced with a very simple, very difficult question. ' do I go up and see her...or should I leave her be...she'll be mad... He ran his fingers though his hair, a pained expression on his face. 'I know I would want to be left alone to think...but that's a guy for you, if I remember anything from living with seven sister...is that thay need to vent...normally to another girl....I can't talk to her like that...I need help...advice...anything!' He swallowed stiffly, picking up the phone he punched in Maria's number. He waited the phone ringing. "Hello? Hello Maria? I need help....."

Arielle Shore
"Why couldn't I answer him?" Arielle asked herself in a somewhat agonized mutter. It shouldn't have been to hard for her to answer the question, yet, how could she answer it without feeling somewhat dirty. She was embarrassed of why she did it, although she knew her reason why. She had been wanting to repay her grandparents for everything they had been doing for her, but she was just now old enough to get a real job. The years before then, she had to find some way to do it. She laid back on her bed and closed her eyes, trying to remember when exactly it all started.
Maria had been cleaning her room when she heard the familiar sound of her ringtone. She stopped what she was doing, thinking that it was her imagination or that she had unconsciously out on her alarm. It wasn't until she heard it again that she walked to her desk that she saw that someone was actually calling her. She picked up her phone and noticed that the number was different. She decided to answer it, thinking that it was someone with the wrong number. Before she even had a chance to ask who it was after answering when she heard a familiar voice on the other end. "Kedrick, what's the matter?" She immediately asked, feeling a sense of worry. She didn't remember giving him her number. Maybe Arielle did, but the reason of his call had made Maria worried enough to want to know.
(A good night's rest does solve things ^.^. Still thinking about Arielle's back story though XD.)

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick paced the kitchen floor, and breathed a sigh of relief when Maria picked up the phone. "Listen Maria...I need some advice..I..I accidentally made Arielle upset...I don't...I don't really know what to do..." He admitted, a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach, he continued to pace the kitchen. He didn't know how much Maria knew about where he and Arielle's relationship started. For all he knew, Maria may not know about any of it, and he had already done enough to hurt Arielle in one night, he didn't want to do anything more by telling Maria something Arielle didn't want anyone to know.

Arielle Shore
Maria listened to Kedrick, trying to understand what exactly was wrong. Apparently he had dome something that had upset her best friend, but how could he have done that? It seemed like everything was fine between them, minus the embarrassed blushing every so often. Yet, something did seem different. She sat herself on her bed and sat almost Indian style. "Can you tell me what happened?"
Searching through her memories, Arielle caught glimpses of unremembered events. Some such as her first martial arts lesson, or meeting Maria. Others were more closer to her heart, like her parents funeral. Which brought the question to how long had they been dead. She had never given the time since their death much thought, but it would be about nine years soon, especially since her birthday would be coming up. Her mind was more focused on to a certain event and a certain person, the very first person that she had worked for and who had gotten her into somewhat of the "Pet Shop" life. She was searching her memories for a boy named, Jonesy.
(I somehow have a thing for this name XD. I don't know why, but I do. I think I'm getting a clear idea, but it's always fun teasing the reader~.)

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick squirmed uncomfortably, he wanted to tell Maria everything so she could give him specific advice, but once again, he didn't want to hurt Arielle by telling her something her friend wasn't intended to know. Kedrick had already been guilty of that once, when he had told Arielle of Dimitri's painful past. "It...I asked her about...the place I hired her from, the place we first met...she got upset, looked sort of sick. Arielle said she had lost her appetite and when upstairs...." he said, now though it was his turn to feel sick. " I shouldn't have asked...." He said numbly.

Arielle Shore
"Oh," Maria said finally after a couple of minutes of silence. She had known about a lot of the things that Arielle had done and had always done it her best to keep it a secret. She did remember that Arielle had not really explained to her how she met Kedrick, just like with the other people she had worked with. "Arielle doesn't really like talking about it really. She feels ashamed of herself, but I know it'll take her some time before she eventually tells you everything. She did the same for me when I learned in eighth grade. Trust me, you just have to be patient and she'll tell you. Don't worry, I know she'll get better. Plus, you have a right to know. Arielle hates to keep secrets from people, unless she's doing it to protect them."

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick leaned his elbows on the counter, resting his whole body-weight there. "so...." He said hesitantly. "...is it...I mean...would it be a good idea to talk to her...or should I giver her some space...I'm not really good at reading girls...." Kedrick admitted. He straightened up a bit, walking to the door way of the kitchen, He rested his hand of the doorway, reflecting for a moment. It seemed like forever since he had first met Arielle, it hadn't really been that long...but still...now, he couldn't imagine life without Arielle. She was too special, to deeply ingrained in his life to think about loosing her over a stupid question.

Arielle Shore
"It's best that you give her some space," Maria said with a small nod on her end as she picked at her covers on her bed, "Trust me, she'll tell you in due time. The best thing you can do for now is just relax and let things go on as they were before. Try and take her mind of the question. Besides, I've done that dozens of times."
Arielle sighed, giving up on trying to remember. She just couldn't focus at the moment. She sat up and stared at her door, wondering if it was best to talk to Kedrick. She took her her hair out of the bun and ran her fingers through it absentmindedly.
