Shane began to weave handsigns, and substituted as the flames hit the wood. He came behind Karuda, and swung the edged Kunai Akira gave him at him, not leaving him much time to evade. [10/30 tomoe 3]

He could hear Shane behind him and didn't have time to turn around, he swung a kunai over his back, he could fell it being severed but now he had time to dodge and he did. He fell down on the ground, landing on all fours and aiming a second kunai where Shane was.

He managed to copy the jutsu, but not without the jutsu managing to give him the illusion he was pushed down by mud. He fell, and grabbed his kunai out, to help protect him from attack.
