{No, that works quite well, actually. I can NPC McCoy, right?}
PostPosted: Mon Apr 11, 2005 5:16 am

OOC: Yes, feel free to play McCoy. Okay, Ginko, I swear I'm catching up to you smile Kadiska, since Xavier is busy at the moment, I'm going to have Penny take her to Storm (who I'm assuming is the assistant headmaster). You can NPC her or have me do it. I don't care either way.

IC:

Penny walked into the now bustling Institute with the girl from the porch. She knew that Xavier had Freya in his office so she thought the next best choice would be to take her to Ororo. Nobody knew this girl and it could potentially be a disaster if Penny left her to herself. She didn't want that no her head.

"Oh, I'm Penny Chayse, by the way," Penny made the quick introduction before knocking on Ororo's office door. The room had some kind of bubbling foundtain going on in it, it was the first thing Penny heard when she opened the door.

"Come in, Evelyn," Ororo motioned to Penny and the other girl.

"Ms. Munroe, since the Professor is busy..." Penny started and Ororo nodded motioning the girl to a chair. Penny bowed out of the room and left the girl with Ororo. The dog was there too, Penny got a strange feeling from the dog. A feeling she didn't care for.

She backed out of the room and almost ran right into Regina. She stopped herself one foot shy of backing into her teammate. Usually, Penny was never really startled by people being able to hear them hallways away, but the dog really threw her off guard.

"So sorry, Regina!" Penny said, "I was playing greeter. You want to find the girls and get out of here?"

ooc: no worries penance. is all good. oh! And I have Gen wandering around the lower levels probably where she shouldn't be... I could NPC someone, but it'd be more fun to have someone else do it and interact XD

ic:

Regina grinned. "What's got you spooked? But yeah, let's beat it. This place is suddenly too busy because of that girl I brought to the professor. Pizza and a movie you think? It'll just be nice to get out for a change."
PostPosted: Mon Apr 11, 2005 7:10 am

OOC: Let me find out what other NPCs we have and I'll get one for you.

IC:

Penny shrugged off the question about what spooked her. Show no weaknesses, of course.

"Pizza, movie... sounds great. I don't feel like catering to everybody today. Let's just high tail it out of here," Penny said tired of being everybody's mom for the week.

They found Anna and didn't have to force her out since it was her idea afterall. Hopping into Penny's car, they headed for town. It was nice doing something 'normal' for a change.

"Oh my. Hand him to me, the boy needs to get to the infirmary," McCoy replied, a look of concern on his face. "I must apologize, Mr. Daniels, but I must take my leave of you now. I have a very sick student to attend to," he said, taking Morgan's limp form from Jamie and slinging him over his shoulder. "Jamie, would you be kind enough to inform the Professor of our guest?"

With that, McCoy hurried off towards the infirmary.

Once there, he placed Morgan gently on one of the tables, and placed a thermometer in his mouth. "Oh dear, this is not good. Not good at all," McCoy murmured as he read the temperature on the thermometer. If I can't find out what's wrong with the poor boy and treat it, he'll die within the hour. Blast it all, how much longer until those tests results are ready?

A small chime from the computer in the corner of the room indicated that the tests had been successfully completed. McCoy looked the results over, and a perplexed look came over his face. "That can't be right," he murmured, double and triple checking them. "This shouldn't be happening- Unless..." He rushed over to the boy's form stretched out on the table. On his neck, the injection site had become inflamed. It was bright red, and quite swollen. "Of course! Morgan mentioned something about the serum he had been injected with. Something about being derived the genetic code of- His body's being altered on a genetic level. No wonder he's sick, his body must be trying to reject the serum before it can take full effect," he said, realization dawning on him. "I have to supress his immune system temporarily. Otherwise, his body'll destroy itself."

McCoy quickly rushed over to the refrigerated cabinets where the different medications were kept. "I know it's here some- Aha!" he cried, taking a small bottle from the shelf. He grabbed a sterile syringe from the drawer of medical supplies, and filed it with the clear substance in the bottle. "This should do the trick," he said injecting the substance into Morgan's neck, next to the initial injection site. "Hang on, m'boy."

((OOC: Could you? I've tried RP'ing as Ororo before, but my attempts...sadly failed. Oh, sorry for the lateness of this post. Meant to go online yesterday, but I ended up going out instead. I'll try to get on more.))

Oh, disaster was a mild way to describe it....

"Reaper. And this is Katori."

Was her soft response when the girl, Penny, gave her name. As they entered the room, she eyed her surroundings critically. Raine hardly even gave the older woman a second glance, dismissing her at first before finally returning her attention.

Katori growled harshly at the retreating figure of Penny, and then icy optics found themselves unhesitantingly on Ororo. The mutant hunter snarled deeply, fur bristling around his ruff of fur around his neck, and he placed one massive paw towards the woman.

Refusing to take a seat, Raine too eyed the woman uneasily. Any person could tell that this femora was half-feral, and unused to human contact and interaction except in the more negative way.

OOC: Fine fine. It seems I'm disturbing everyone since I got the professor. razz I'll take care of this for all of you since you didn't catch my "student spying the conversation" hint. blaugh And I won't make Wanda act until someone of the Brotherhood notice she wants to kill someone.

IC: "I doubt you came here to just tell me this," said the professor.

"That's true. I just want you to know she's in good hands and well. I know how much you can be worried and I would appreciate it if you wouldn't try to spy on us. It's very rude."

"That's why you mentionned Wolverine earlier. I'm sorry Freya but you can't judge me wrong. Any adult would be concerned about two young adolescent girls living on their own."

"I know but please understand I'm doing this for her. Not to mention Logan could get the attention of Sabertooth and this one could report our position to Magneto."

The professor joined his hands together like he always did to think more thoroughly about something. Magneto would find them from one way or another. Specially now that Wanda had some contact with the Brotherhood. Freya was afraid of something or protecting Wanda from something. Or someone. But not Magneto. She feared something else. Someone close to Magneto perhaps? No. That wasn't it.

"In short, you wish to be left alone with your problems? Freya, you don't have---"

"I don't need help." Freya stood up, looking a bit frustrated though. She was starting to act more like her age now. "I can handle it."

Xavier sighed helplessly. She was so stubborn but he knew how to deal with those. "As you wish. But know that my door is never close. We are always here to help if you do need us."

Freya nodded to him. "Be careful on your way out. I think some of the students didn't appreciate your entry. They can be some troublemakers sometimes." The young girl grinned at him and nodded. "I know that," she simply answered. She was back to her old self. She warmly gave her thanks to the professor and left the office.

OOC: Damn, I knew there was a loose end I forgot to include in a post somewhere. So sorry Inuki!! Let me know what I can do to help your plot. Kadiska, I don't know what direction you want to take with your character so I'm going to keep it kind of general.

IC:

STORMS OFFICE:

Storm didn't have a reaction to the dog in her office really. It was one of those 'all the goddess' creatures' kind of things. She nodded her head towards the creature to show respect for his presence. Other than that she wasn't afraid, worried, or any other array of feelings that her student's may have had.

"Welcome to the Xavier Institute," Ororo held her hand out with the natural grace of a god to greet the girl, "I am Ororo Munroe. What brings you to the Institute, Reaper?"

The wind brings her words. She had heard the girl's name in the hallway. She then noticed a blip on a small computer monitor to the left of her desk. It was a security device showing somebody where they shouldn't be on Institute grounds.

"Pardon the interruption," Ororo clicked what looked to be a communications speaker of some kind, "Jean, you have a visitor."

Jean Grey clicked back through, "I'll take care of it."

Ororo focused back on the girl who was sitting in her office.

Jean leaned against the wall at the end of a passage way. The hallway she was in was a bright white with a floor that was so shiny it could be a mirror. She was in the War Room but left and locked it when Storm had called her.

"Interesting, isn't it," She said when Gen came out of the emergency passage way. Some of the elevators could get people down here, but they were all optic, dna, or finger print scans. The passage Gen found was one that was hidden well enough incase of emergency in the mansion and the student's needed ushered out in bulk.

"Would you like the tour?" Jean said. The X-Men weren't too pissed when kids found their way down there. If one of them made it, they were glad to give a tour. Why send them away? The student would just come back when nobody was around and possibly get into more trouble.

"Hi. What brings you here?"

Jacen looked behind him and saw one of the kids that he was fighting alongside inside of that prison. The light manipulator.

"Just looking to talk with the Professor for a few moments, but I understand he's busy," Scion said calmly before pulling a cig out from seemingly nowhere and light it. The kid didn't seem to care for that, but as it stood, they were the only two in the room. There was a few quiet moments while they sat in that room. It seemed as it were, that the kid was just trying to keep an eye on him, making sure he wouldn't try anything funny or stupid. Of course, Scion wouldn't.

While they sat there, Jacen could feel the strange feelings of negativity subside more and more. Either the person exuding said emotions was gone or just moving around alot. Suddenly, Jacen heard something in his head.

You know I don't allow smoking in my school, Mr. Daniels.

Jacen ignored the voice and absently took another hit from his coffin nail. Without warning, Jacen sat helplessly as he watched himself get up and put the cigarette out in a near by flowerpot. What brings you here?, Jacen heard the voice say.

I've come because I need to speak with you, Jacen said, projecting his thoughts as much as he could.

Very well. You know where my office is. I shall see you shortly.

Xavier was right. Scion did know where the Professor's office was. He had been here a few times. Mainly accompanying Magneto when he would pay a visit to his old friend. Jacen, of course, had in the last few months before being reassigned to the Brotherhood, had run a few missions for Magneto. And it was through those that Xavier got to see what Scion could do, and Scion did get handled relatively easily. Of course, with seven on one odds, it never would be a walk in the park when he was on a solo mission.

Quickly, he walked through the hallways towards the Professor's chambers. As he walked around, he nearly bumped into Freya. She looked puzzled for a second before it hit her why he was here. "You're here because...," she said quietly.

"Yes," Jacen said hurriedly, "But if you'll excuse me."

"Xavier?"

"You know it," Jacen said as he kept on his way. Soon, he was at the doors to a closed office. With a harsh, sharp knock, Jacen heard a rather distinct voice.

"Yes, Mr. Daniels. Come in, I've been expecting you for a few minutes now."

((OOC: Hm...that's a good point....where am I going to go with Raine..? Hn, well, I have an idea...if you want to know, I can PM it to you.))

Katori flicked his ears forward slightly, somewhat confused by the woman's reaction. Humans normally panicked when the canine threatened them, and her almost indifferent attitude was something new...and unexpected. His snarl died a bit, and he gave Raine a sharp glare when he heard a soft laugh bubble from her to his mind. Whether or not they liked it, due to 'incidences' out of their control they shared a telepathic bond with one another, and no one else. It was a pain in the rear, or so the mutant hunter thought. Just think of the irony. A mutant hunter serving...what else...but a mutant. Some cosmic god was laughing at this messed up problem.

"The Xavier Institute...so that's what this prison is called."

Echoing, Raine glanced around the room once again, and then wary eyes settled themselves upon the woman before her. Ororo...she had said her name was Ororo...

"I'm not sure exactly the reason why I am here. Was in the neighborhood, I guess, and Katori here noticed the high concentration of mutants here. I guess I was just curious, as there is another group in this city."

Those crimson optics glittered knowingly; this young woman was no fool. She had lived this long in pretty much one piece; scarred, yes, but not dead.

"I want to know why is that. Why are there so many mutants here...and what is this place for?"

OOC: Don't worry Penny. I assumed people had more interesting things to do than read a long boring post from me. lol I'll just destroy a few things here and there in the Brotherhood house since no one seems to be there and I'll think of something for Freya. I don't have a plot really. I make things as I go along. That's why I try to invite people to do their stuff in my posts, hoping it would inspire me to do something. blaugh

IC: Wanda searched the house. Except for the three stooges. No one was there. That was pissing her off. A lot. She walked downstairs and set her foot on Lance's stomach as he was sitting up. "Where is he?"

"W-Where's whom?" asked a confused Avalanche.

"I won't repeat myself! You know who I'm talking about! Pietro!!!!"

"I swear I don't know! Knowing him he might have ran with a chick somewhere or went back to Europe to get some italian clothing!"

He wasn't lying. She knew that. And that pissed her off even more. She couldn't hold her anger anymore. She let her rage loose. The ground shook like there was an earthquake and when she calmed down, half of the house was gone. She walked out, still with her angry look, and tried to think of someone who could give her the answer she's seeking.

"Aww man...." said Toad as he crawled out of the crumbles. "How are we going to explain that to Pyro?"

"You mean how are we going to explain that to Mystique?" coughed Avalanche.

"You can just blame Blob."

"Shut up Toad!" yelled Blob from the kitchen.

-------------------------------

Freya was surprised that Scion didn't come here seeking her. But on the other hand, she didn't have anything else to tell him. She had to leave before the professor could reach the informations he wanted to know in her skull.

Walking down the corridor, she could feel the tense atmosphere in the house. The students didn't want her here and she could feel it. However, they're not Brotherhood members so I doubt they'll do anything like the professor said.

Dropping her plan to leave by jumping out at the first window, she calmly floated down the stairway toward the exit.

OOC: Actually it was a long good post. I just forgot by the time I wrote that I wanted to tie into yours too smile

IC:

STORM'S OFFICE:

"To be quite truthful, there are many more mutant groups around. Some are more noticeable than others," Ororo knew that too well being an X-Man. In the sewers, in the forests, in the city... everywhere there were some kind of mutant safe places. They needed them. People weren't always kind and open to mutants in their midst.

"Why are there so many mutants here?" Ororo smiled, "The Xavier Institute is a school and a home for many mutant children. The primary goal of the Institute when started was to teach mutants how to control thier powers and how to live in society with them. It has since become a home to many without one."

"I'm at a disadvantage here," Ororo said, "If you do not mind me asking, what is your gift? Are you from Bayville?"

SOMEWHERE IN BAYVILLE:

"Man the Institute is getting crowded lately," Penny said and adjusted her rear view mirror, "We're going to have to put a new wing on the place."

"Maybe we're just getting bigger," Anna joked and poked Penny's mid section for jest.

"Okay, a**, I saw you finish the tub of cookies in the kitchen," Penny stuck her tounge out and found a parking spot in one of the public lots. Taking one fleeting glance at her mirror, Penny made sure she didn't look like total trash before leaving the car.

A jeep pulled into the lot, too, with some high school guys in it. Anna and Penny recognized them immediately. They were, of course, the captains of the football team... the same guys Penny started the fight with in the cafeteria. Their 'ringleader' AJ Morrison was actually the one she started the right with.

"Great, looks like everybody came out to play tonight," Penny rolled her eyes as it seemed everybody annoying from Bayville High was going to Luigi's for pizza that night.

Anna opened the door for Penny and Regina, "Well, he seemed to take a liking to you after the cafeteria incident."

Penny rolled her eyes again not being able to deny that fact, "In that hating kind of way..."

"You never like any guys!" Anna teased, "The ultimate heartbreaker."

"Please, they couldn't handle me if they tried," Penny threw her purse (yes, she really does have a purse) onto the seat in a booth and they all slid in.

Alanna remained on the porch after their visitor went inside. It was nicer out there.... and it was also harder to put the ground back to the way she found it than it was to make it bring up a wall. Ororo, of course, told her she couldn't leave the grounds until she cleaned up her mess. Rightly so, Alanna figured. Her own mother would have said the same thing.

Mom... home... that place seemed so far away now. Not that she realy wanted to go back. All of her siblings had left the farm either to exciting new jobs, new familys, or to return to the earth. Her mom was selling their home and moving to the city.. Alanna had no place there. It was too mechanical. She would be in the dark and wouldn't know what to do about it.

How did that girl make the wind move like that so easily? She wanted to learn, Storm hadn't shown her yet. She wanted to change the world more, at her will, not at her emotions.

When Freya came out onto the porch... almost light as air. Alanna knew it was her, she could see the faint blue grey lines around her. She sheepishly said, "I'm sorry for the wall... We were... just worried about our friends."

Anna hesitantly shuffled into the booth with the two girls, careful to keep her distance. Penny would understand if she just didn't sit as close as she'd have liked to. She looked outside at the guys laughing around in the jeep. AJ Morrison didn't even look at Anna. Her breasts weren't huge enough and the straight scars on her legs made her look a little insanely gothic, though she wore colourful, flirty clothing to counteract that. Still, it was well-known that he was a self-professed "ladies man" who only went for the lookers, cheerleaders and models-wannabes. Penny was the exception, obviously... unless she'd taken up cheerleading without Anna's knowledge. She shot a speculating glare at Penny right off the bat, and the poor girl didn't know how to respond to it.

"What?" Penny asked, defensively.

Anna's glare turned to a musing, thoughtful look, and for a second she didn't reply. Then she said. "... Nothing." and forgot about the whole thing.

"The guy riding shotgun is kinda cute." She commented flicking her head to shake her pony-tail loose so the end could rest beside her on the seat. "I bet he's got a girlfriend, though. All the good-looking guys do... That, or he's a complete moron... Anyway, pizza now!"

A young man came with a PDA and requested their orders. Anna perused the menu while the others ordered their snackages. "Meat lovers, extra cheese." she smiled, sweetly.

"Drinks with that?" asked the young man.

"Yeah." Anna slyly responded, doing her best nonchalant routine while simultaneously trying to charm him. It was not a pretty combination, she felt like a Barbie doll. "I'll have a Raspberry Vodka Cruiser, please."

The young man looked skeptically at her. "I'll need to see some ID to serve you alcohol. Are you over 21?"

Anna smiles sweetly again. "Yeah..."

Penny looked at her unbelievably. The silence from everyone was too much for Anna to bear and she cracked. "... I mean, I WILL be, eventually... I just wanted to get a head start, y'know? I'm very mature for my age." She said with a big grin, trying to justify herself.

The young man smiled broadly and shook his head. "Sorry."

She sunk into her seat and poked her tongue out. "'Kay, get me a coke, thanks." The man entered it into his PDA and took the rest of the orders.

"Man, how come Rogue can do that and I can't? Kim's psychology lessons are a complete load! I even used 'please' and 'thank you', but noooo! No drinkies for Annie."
