Enoki Clan

Name:Ichibu No Enokidake
Description
(The Ichibu No Enokidake is a bloodline that is only known to the Enoki clan of the land of fungus. With this bloodline, it allows for a person to have the ability to grow fungus around them and even on there bodies. Though this bloodline has been mistaken for a offshoot of Hashirama Senju's wood release, it is actually more closely related to the Aburame clan's Parasitic Destruction Insect Technique as instead of using natured chakra to control the fungus, the Enoki clan is a host to a special fungus that causes mushrooms to form around them. Though this power is powerful, there is a downside to this ability. The fungus resides in the Enoki clan has taken over all the tenketsu in the persons body and it feeds on chakra that is produced by the body. This leaves the person with no chakra of there own, meaning that they will never get the ability to use any natured chakra. but there is a upside to this fungus. The fungus produces chakra of its own and this is what the user uses in there jutsus. For every ounce of chakra the the fungus eats, the fungus will double the yang type chakra. With this massive amount of life giving chakra, it allows for the fungus to grow mushrooms of special properties. Though it still requires chakra to be produced in the first place. The Enoki clan still gets there chakra from the body energy inherent in the trillions of their cells and the mental & spiritual energy gained from exercise and experience, though much of the chakra is never seen as it is formed to feed the fungus. But because the fungus doubles a persons chakra, many people of Enoki clan members may have mushrooms growing from there skin. This is a sign that their bodies have to much chakra flowing through them and to release the overabundance of chakra, fungus is getting rid of the chakra by forming mushrooms full of the excess chakra. Any person that eats one of these mushrooms will gain a boost in chakra.

Rules


1.Because of the fungus that resides in there body, anyone in this clan do not have the ability to any natured chakras. They can though, use any yin or yang based jutsu's.

2.Though they don't have to be, the Enoki clan are great medical-nin's.

3.Mushrooms can only be grown on mycelium that is placed down.

4.Mushrooms that are grown on mycelium can be destroyed by any natured chakra with enough force but the mycelium is almost impervious. {Mycelium in real life, is fireproof, waterproof, helps to hold ground together, and is a natural Insulator of electricity. It is also hard to cut up the mycelium considering that it is underneath the ground.} Fruiting bodies of the mycelium can also be destroyed by conventional means or by bugs, though may be unwise as some Enoki mushrooms shoot there spores out when disturbed and some spores cause paralyze or poisoning.

5.Most Fruiting bodies of the mycelium will stay around as long as chakra is provided by the user to the mycelium mat.

6. Certain clans jutsu's have devastating consequences on anyone of the Enoki clan. Clans names that cause the devastation to the Enoki clan will not be revealed to anyone unless they are of this clan and ask.

7. Because the fungus is producing so much chakra, if your chakra is full, you must write in your posts on how to burn off some of that chakra every five or less posts, or you may find yourself starting to turn into a mushroom. If no chakra is used in 10 posts, you will have become a human shaped fungus and will not be able to move. During this time, you are open to attacks and to be able to move again, it will require someone of the Enoki clan to restore you back to human form.

8. Because the Enoki clan usually requires there mycelium fields to use there jutsu's, they are open to long range attacks but are masters at fighting on there mycelium fields.

Essential moves


Name: Mycelium Field
Rank: Basic move known by all of the Enoki clan. Ranked E for constant upkeep but if the field is wished to be bigger, it may require more chakra to spread the mycelium out. usually the mycelium will spread out at about 3 meters at first but by providing a burst of chakra to the mycelium they can extend the mycelium to much farther reaches. providing a D-rank pulse to extend the mycelium to short-range (six meters in radius around the user), C-rank pulse to a mid-range (twelve meters in radius around the user), B-rank is mid-range (twenty-five meters in radius around the user), A-rank is long-range (fifty meters in radius around the user).

Range: This range is dependent upon the used how long chakra is feed to the mycelium. To keep the mycelium ready for attacks, the user must be on it at all times, it takes a constant feeding of chakra to substain the mycelium. Description: Mycelium is a fungal "base" that allows more complex mushrooms to grow by creating a strong, nutrient-rich environment for mushrooms to grow on. By using this jutsu, the practitioner is able to create a mycelium floor that will allow other types of fungus to grow in places that they might not normally be able to, such as the desert. This is normally used before other fungal jutsu (though not always). Though they can stand still and spread the mycelium from a single area, any user can also walk around to spread the mycelium field to the size or shape they wish as long as they give the mycelium the chakra to feed it. Anyone who steps onto the Mycelium field will be known about to the Enoki member, so it is very hard to sneak up on a Enoki member when they are on there field. Another secret is that at higher levels, a Enoki member can use this to actually move around by diving into the Mycelium and traveling at high speed around the area. It is very hard to defeat a Enoki member when they are on his or her fields as it is all bases of there attack and without it they are usually defenseless.

Description: This jutsu is one of the more powerful jutsu's. After focusing chakra through their feet, the user of the technique creates a sudden massive growth of a great number of incredibly large mushrooms, so many that their caps can block out the sun. This blocking of sunlight can make it easier for mushrooms to grow, due to their general aversion to bright light. This jutsu is required for using in several higher leveled fungal attacks used as a start-up jutsu. Also, several different types of mushrooms will start to grow without the use of the users chakra. This move will also double any lesser fungal jutsu that is used in this area creating two mushrooms instead of one when chakra is sent.

Description:Using mycelium palming, a Enoki member can leave very tiny mushrooms will sprout from the ground, almost unnoticeable to the naked eye. Each of these mushrooms is sensitive to the slightest touch. When touched, they will send back information to the person using the mushroom jutsu, telling them of when something steps on them or walks near them. This is good for setting up a perimeter without having to active mycelium field telling if anyone is approaching.

Big blue round capped Mushrooms will sprout out of the mycelium. They will absorb any moisture in the air. As they do so, there caps will expand until they are the size of a watermelon. When they are heat up, they will explode shooting water all over the place to put out any spreading fires that is close to the mushrooms.

Description: The user will suck in air. When they expel the air, glowing red spores will come out of there mouth. Were ever the spores land, even if its not fertile land, a shelf mushroom will grow and start producing a red light. Though this isn't an attack mushroom, they are hot to the touch and should not be touched. There it is unwise to touch these, they are flat and can be used like stoves to cook unprepared food. They also will provided a little warmth to those that stand next to them and because of its blue light, will be harder to be spotted by enemies. These spores can also be changed to glow different colors.

Description: This jutsu requires that either mycelium be present in the location that the mushroom is meant to grow or that the soil is already nutrient-rich. many purple spotted mushrooms will start to grow and will release a mist of thick spores into the area around it.
Any that walk into the mist will have there eyes irritated by the spores and will have to leave to get there vision back. Though you can try to blow the mist away, the mushrooms will continue sending out this mist. For you to stop the mist, you must destroy all the mushrooms.

Description:This jutsu will create a giant mushroom that causes the cap of the mushroom to fold down to form walls around the ground to form a closed inclosure area. Inside, several more mushrooms will form to form lots of other things. There will also be a second floor for people to sleep. There is enough room inside for 5 people to fit inside soundly. If the user wants, there can change the way the mushroom is layed out even cause the upstairs to change from bedrooms to other things such as an imfermaty for hurt people.

This makes it nearly impossible to attack the user of the technique in a direct charge, as the mushrooms will trip the opponent or force them into an uneven gait, disturbing any building momentum that might lead to a more powerful physical attack.

Description: The user of this technique lines their skin with a thin layer of chitin, a polymer that lines the cellular walls of mushrooms. When chakra is applied, the user can use the chitinous polymer to heal wounds at a much faster pace than normal while also cushioning blows. This means that for those of basic taijutsu skill, attacks will be less likely to even cause damage, for those of adept skill, the attacks will be more likely to bruise bone rather than break them, but the armor is not strong enough to have any effect on masters of taijutsu. No other jutsu that requires hand seals (or the hands themselves) may be used during this technique.

After focusing chakra through his or her feet, the user of the technique focuses a sudden growth of giant mushroom just in front of themselves. The mushroom will grow sideways so that its cap is pointed away from the user of the technique and (hopefully) between the user and whatever attack is being used. The mushroom is able to withstand D-rank Raiton ninjutsu (due to its piercing nature) and C-ranks of various other elemental affinities, and is capable of defending against basic taijutsu strikes.

After focusing chakra through his or her feet, the user of the technique focuses on the sudden growth of several small mushrooms around the opponent's feet, which will then spiral around the ankles and up to the middle of the calf before hardening, effectively trying to stop or severely hinder movement. A ninja with Adept in taijutsu will be able to break free after a single post, and a Master in taijutsu will be able to break free immediately.

This jutsu can withstand C-rank Raiton ninjutsu (due to its piercing nature), A-rank Suiton ninjutsu, and B-rank techniques of varying elemental affinities, and is capable of defending against Adept taijutsu techniques.

Description: This jutsu requires the use of the Great Mushroom Forest technique and that either mycelium be present or that the soil is already nutrient-rich. After focusing chakra through the mushrooms that already exist due to the previous technique, the user of the jutsu causes the mushrooms to rain airborne spores down onto the field. These spores are heavily saturated in chakra provided by the user of the technique, allowing them to "glow" with chakra in a way that confuses movement, both for sensory and non-sensory ninja. The spores can stay airborne for as long as the topic lasts, though wind ninjutsu can disrupt the spores and cleave a path through the sight-disrupting spores.

Description: This jutsu requires the use of the Great Mushroom Forest technique and that either mycelium be present or that the soil is already nutrient-rich. After focusing chakra through the mushrooms that already exist due to the required technique, the user of the jutsu causes the mushrooms to rain airborne spores down onto the field. If a spore lands on someone, the spore will sprout and grow a mushroom from that spore, while very strong mycelium will start to encase the person in it. Because the spores feed off of the users chakra, the mushroom will continue to spread mycelium. Any person encased will have limited movement and will have to be very strong to escape it and even then, any mycelium that is broken will call for more mycelium to coat that area of the body in mycelium. Though if the mushroom is removed, the mycelium will stop growing and the person will be able to escape. The only way not to be effected by the mycelium growth is to have a mycelium palming on the body, as the mycelium will battle against he encasing mycelium.

Description: This jutsu requires the use of the Great Mushroom Forest technique and that either mycelium be present or that the soil is already nutrient-rich. Several giant mushrooms will sprout out of the ground to form a giant wall of mushrooms. Along the stems of the mushrooms several more mushroom caps will sprout to protect the stems from damage. These mushrooms will block massive attacks that would cause harm to the user and any that are inside of Great Mushroom forest Technique. This jutsu can withstand some of the strongest of attacks and is compared to the Triple Rashōmon for how much defense it has. But still it is not invisible. It requires lots of chakra to use and it can only block up to most elemental chakra's A ranked moves and some S ranked moves.

The user form hand signs and raise there hand at an opponent. From the users palm, a mushroom will start to grow from the end of it. Then user will then fire the mushroom like a bullet at the opponent. Only 3 may be fired per post. Has no side-effects to being hit by the mushrooms except that its like being hit by a rubber bullet.It is not wise to take this move carelessly as the blast of chakra that is used to send the mushrooms flying can have the opposite effect on the person and send them flying instead. In most cases, an Enoki clan member will secure there feet to the ground before using this move.

Description: This jutsu requires that either mycelium be present in the location that the mushroom is meant to grow or that the soil is already nutrient-rich. After focusing chakra through their feet, the user of the technique focuses on the sudden growth of a single mushroom. This mushroom actually grows into the shape and appearance of the user of the technique and can change its appearance at will. The clone can even attack with its fists, though its feet must remain rooted where they grow from the ground. This is most often used as a diversion, rather than a real threat to the opponent. However, these are difficult to get rid of; instead of becoming an inanimate mushroom upon being struck, it will continue fighting. The only way of ending the clone is to actually cut it down.

They are larger and when they hit someone will cause massive bruises to even broken bones to even concussions. Masters of this ability have the ability to make the mushrooms bend steel and even break through steel if the mushrooms are focused in one area but requires great concentration keep the mushrooms focused in one single area. It is not wise to take this move carelessly as the blast of chakra that is used to send the mushrooms flying can have the opposite effect on the person and send them flying instead. In most cases, an Enoki clan member will secure there feet to the ground before using this move.

Description: This jutsu requires that either mycelium be present in the location that the mushrooms are meant to grow or that the soil is already nutrient-rich. After focusing chakra through his or her feet, the user of the technique focuses on the sudden growth of several mushrooms (ten, at the most). The mushrooms will take on the shape and appearance of the user of the jutsu, but can change their appearance at will. These mushrooms, like the previous technique, can only attack with their fists, due to their feet being rooted to the ground where they grew from. However, the greater number of mushroom clones allows for more strategic placement at the user's blind spots, effectively eliminating the possibility of a blindside attack. Like the previous clone technique, these do not revert to inanimate objects when struck, and must be cut down to be rendered useless.

This mushroom grows much more quickly than the weaker variant, and deals a harsh blow aimed at the opponent's jaw that is strong enough to lift the opponent several feet above the ground and (for those with a basic or less in taijutsu) break the jawbone in the process.

Description: This jutsu is a special jutsu used only for very special type of jutsu users. when a Enoki clan is facing off against a bug clan, they will use this jutsu. The user will expel special spores that will only target the insects in the area. These spores will then kill the insects causing mushrooms to sprout from the insects when they die. These will then explode in tiny explosions releasing more spores. By then, the insect user will have noticed what is happening and will try to do what every insect ruler does. They will then cult out the infected and keep all there insects close to them as to lose no more insects. Because of the specialness of the fungi used, it requires 7 turns for the spores to regrow and be used again.

Description: This jutsu requires the use of the Great Mushroom Forest technique and that either mycelium be present or that the soil is already nutrient-rich.
This move is hidden for fear of how destructive of a move it is. Do to how powerful this move is, it takes 3 turns of pouring chakra into it. Many of the mushrooms in the Great mushroom forest will start to wither away leaving a single black mushroom in the area. As chakra is poured into this single mushroom, it will continue to grow until it is the size of a small house. Once it is there, there is no hope left of stopping it. The mushroom will explode with enough power of 10 kilotons of explosives, enough to destroy a 804.672 meters around the mushroom killing everyone, including the user. The area will remain irradiated for several years and until that time, only mushrooms will grow there until nutrients can get back to the ground and plants can grow. side note, Mushrooms feed off radiation and help to bring nutrients to areas.

After focusing chakra through the mushrooms that already exist due to the required technique, the user of the jutsu causes the mushrooms to rain airborne spores down onto the field. These spores will appear to start to cause hallucination any who make contact with it. It is almost impossible to escape from this jutsu though those who own (AND WEAR) gas masks or who have some method of purifying the air affected by this technique though the spores go through both the eyes and the nasal functions. The spores will rain down for one post, and will afterwards be grounded; they can, however, be kicked up from the ground for a surprise attack against those who evaded the first attack of airborne spores. Those who use the jutsu are immune to the spores. a person affected by the spores will fall into unconscious in three posts. What causes the person to fall into unconsciousness is unknown but it is most likely facing a very strong fear or something very frightening.

The mycelium will go in and remove any bacteria or dead tissue that is in the wound. In a couple of days, the mycelium will fall off of the skin, leaving a scar or the skin looking new.

Though this can be used for offensive, this jutsu can only keep a person down for more is needed to keep the person asleep. Considering that this is a lot like a genjutsu, a person can escape from sleeping by stop the flow of chakra in their body, and then apply an even stronger power to disrupt the flow of the caster's chakra basically the same thing as the Genjutsu Dissipation. They then can escape or continue attacking. Also by someone else pouring chakra into the downed person can the down person awake from the jutsu.

They are very tasty to eat but it takes a great deal of considerations to make the fungus grow from the skin and is not wise to use this in a battle.

Considering that smelling salts use ammonia to wake people up this mushroom may wake someone up from unconsciousness. Not only that, the mushroom will then send chakra through the Mycelium to help jump start anyone. After that, the mycelium and mushroom will die and fall off of the body on the person awaking. This move requires all wounds on a person to be healed.

It will then cause the transplant to be rejected by the body and depending on what was transplanted, will cause all sorts of things to happen. If an eye was transplanted, the eye will then start to bleed over and start causing massive pains in the brain. If the transplant is not severed, the body may go into shock and cardiac arrest may follow up.

The user will first hold a piece of mycelium between their palms, filling it with ijutsu chakra before pressing the mycelium on a patient's wound. The mycelium will then flush the affected area with the healing chakra while the fungus eats away at possible infections. When the mycelium falls away, not even a scar will be left on the skin. However, this jutsu has a limited amount of healing ability: if there is an attack on an internal organ, this jutsu will only heal the surface wound and will be unable to treat the internal injury. This will ensure that the target does not die immediately from an internal wound, but the afflicted will still require personal medical attention.

Description: This jutsu was developed by the Enoki clan to act exactly like Tsunade "Creation Rebirth"[Canon] in a way. But instead of having proteins help to regenerate the body, several mushrooms will coat the users body. These mushrooms will then coat the body in Mycelium that feeds off of radiation. Once this is place, the mushrooms will fall off but leave the mycelium under the skin. After this, that person will begin to radiate radiation from there body with sever side-effects. However, unlike Tsunade's Creation Rebirth", that causes the bodies cells to split, the mycelium are replacing any cell that is destroyed with a mushroom cell. As the radiation is even poisonous to the Enoki clan, the radiation will slowly destroy the human cells that resides in the body while leaving the mushroom cells in place. If used over to long of a time, the person may become sluggish but more sturdy to moves. They may even become a mushroom over time as well. In a way, this is the only move that can survive the Mushroom style: M-bomber as the mushroom cells will regenerate the body after the blast but all that will be left will be a mushroom like husk of the body, as the radiation and explosion will destroy all human cells in the body. A sad fate for most besides the Enoki clan who wish to be close to the fungal friends.

Background
The Enoki clan gets there name from the Japanese word for mushroom. In the past, this line of jutsu wielders was feared for there destructive ways of destroying villages with there mushrooms. They were hated also because several families had spread into every land of the world. Because of this, several leaders of those lands, decided that the Enoki clan should be Destroyed. Though it was about a hundred and fifty years ago, many Enoki families still tell of the hunt of them. Every land began to hunt and kill there own Enoki clans until only a a couple few remained. Seeing how they had been betrayed by there own people, the lasting Enoki clans retreated into there mushroom forest that there clan originated. It was because of this that many people thought the Enoki clan had died in there secret land. Though it was not known to anyone, this clan hide away in a secret area in the hidden rain land. Because of the constant downpour and the darkness caused by the cloud cover, this area is covered in giant mushrooms. This forest is very dangerous for any to enter, as not many have returned from it. These mushrooms put out a special spore that blocked any person from detecting what resided inside this forest of mushrooms and cause many who enter to lose there way. It was because of these jamming spores that they were able to remain undetected for so long to all hidden villages and even avoid detection of Pain and the others, when they started to destroy villages many years later. Over time, many of the warrior like Enoki members died off making way for new generations of Enoki members. Many of these new Enoki decided that it was there warrior ways that caused much of the destruction of there clan and began to use there mushroom growing powers to grow up remedies to heal instead. Many times, several members would go out into the world to become a wandering doctor that would journey from village to village, curing any sickness that normal Nin-doctors could not cure, with there mushroom jutsu. But they would always leave before people would question were they had come from, as even to this day, the Enoki clan wishes to keep there village hidden.

First off, I just want to apologize for the delay. I planned on doing this yesterday morning but a few things came up.

Alright, the main problem with this bloodline is over the individual's chakra supply. At what point you say that all of their chakra is consumed by the fungus within their body, leaving them with the inability to use nature transformation. Then you say the fungus generates its own chakra and this is what the user taps into for jutsu? But then you go back an say the Enoki still have some chakra in their body and but the fungus doubles the chakra supply. All in all, the description is pretty confusing and a little contradictory.

Before I can really examine the bloodline, some things need to be clarified

- Exactly how much chakra does the Enoki store in their body for use in non-elemental jutsu, if any? How much is stored in the fungus?
-How do the Enoki perform jutsu with all/most of their chakra stored in their fungus and what are the effects of low chakra supply on the fungus?
- How is the chakra stored in the fungus used in regular and bloodline jutsu?
- At what point does the Enoki experienced an overabundance of chakra and create the edible fungus that can recover chakra? Is this a taxing process?
- Although mycelium is impervious to most things, there are obvious limits. High-calibre techniques will be able to destroy it. Please give a distinct point that it can be destroyed.

Description: The Kimisho clan are a nomadic bunch of very skilled sensory, sealing, and genjutsu users. They began becoming well know in the most recent years due to there rise in power threw the awakening o the kekkei genkai but that rise to power quickly fell after not only the head if there village was murdered but there homeland was destroyed as well. Strengths: members of this clan are gifted in the art of sensory, and illusions, and once the begin learning it sealing arts as well.
Weaknesses: members of this clan oftin more times than not have very weak bodies due to there focus on illusions and sensory techniques and also have a hard time fending off earth style techniques.
Ability: This clans kekki genkai is known as Kokoro witch grants the user great sensory ability as well as heightened reaction time. everything is crisp clean and clear. things that they normally would not notice are heightened an 10 fold but if not properly trained the user can easily lose focus and have there vision clouded within seconds. it is due to this focus that the bloodline ability to trul manipulate chakra comes into play. this heightened ability is the reason why the molecular style was born.

Don't want to rag on you too much but this Clan/Bl cannot be accepted in it's current state. There is no central unifying theme that binds together the strengths in anyway.

Genjutsu + Sealing + Sensory does not equal molecular manipulation in any conceivable way. Additionally, none of those skills (save for sensory and sealing in one instance each) show up in the jutsu's.

Essentially this submission lacks any sense of cohesion which is instrumental in an application like this. While I usually don't subscribe to the need for extremely large posts, Bloodline/Clan's should be pretty detailed and every ability should be thought out and tied in to the central theme. You can always try again but in it's current state, this application has no way of being approved.

I suggested reducing the number of strengths and tying them together in a detailed manner.

Additionally, no. That is not how molecules work, and even if it was you have made it far too powerful. The molecule aspect of this bloodline will never be approved. The sensory aspect of this bloodline already belongs to another bloodline and a planned profession/type. And the sealing aspect is, A, not how sealing works, and B, even if it was, you'd have to be a sealing specialist to use it. A bloodline should not require you be a member of a certain profession, much less multiple professions should sensors go the profession route.

Oh, and your base benefit rips off two other doujutsu bloodlines at once. And one clan.

Name of Kekkai Genkai: Ametsuchi Mamori (Nature's Guard)

History/Description: An ancient and long forgotten lineage, members of the Soryuu clan live in complete isolation within forests the rest of the ninja world have never seen. They stand as a lasting remnant of the old ways, when humans and nature were inseparably linked and they remain still as the guardians of nature's purity and strength. The Soryuu are a long lived people, most living for over 200 years, but, much like nature, they develop slowly. A Soryuu is not considered a full adult until the age of 75, and someone in their 30's is but an adolescent. This however, does not limit their mental capacity or their ability to link with nature, making the Soryuu an extremely intelligent and wise group of people as they call upon years of experience and knowledge far beyond that of other lineages.

As guardians of nature, they protect it at all costs and feel a deep connection with all living plant life, no matter how small. This brings about a natural sense which enables them to 'speak' with plants, though it is much closer to empathy then actual language, allowing them to know how a tree or a flower feels rather then what it is thinking. This empathic link is automatic, as the souls of the Soryuu people are aligned with nature, producing a constant connection with it. This is not to say that the Soryuu people can control nature though... far from it. As the guardians of nature, Soryuu see themselves as the servants of nature, and thus would seldom ask it to do their will.

Unless you were a Soryuu clan member, you would never have heard of them, and likely have never seen or met one. Those few Soryuu who have left their homelands do so once even few centuries, and only then under call of prophecy and are allowed to leave only after having their knowledge of their homelands or their identities taken from them as a precaution against bringing corruption back. These few are called 'Ambassadors' and are sent out as an evaluation of life and nature outside of their isolation. A force within them always recalls them back to their homeland at some point, where a ritual of awakening takes place and their memories are returned to them so they may report on what they have seen and learned of the world.



Strengths:

1. Dual Affinity: All Soryuu are innately tied to the same natural elements of life, Water [Suiton], Earth [Doton], and Wind [Fuuton]. All Soryuu are born with a connection to Water and thus can manipulate and wield associated powers even as small children. As they grow in strength, they obtain the use of the other elements as well... Doton at Chuunin rank, and Fuuton at Jounin rank. Beyond these, they cannot learn any other elements, and are in fact unable to utilize Raiton or Katon techniques.

2. Plant Empathy: Soryuu have a specialized sense which allows them to 'feel' and understand all plants, large and small. In a 50 ft radius all around them, Soryuu are innately tied to any plant life in their vicinity and can feel the needs of the plant and understand it, allowing them to care for and revitalize them as needed. This connection is always present and it is seen as a 'calling or reaching' of the plants to be understood and have their needs attended to. Soryuu can also gather information from any plant, but this requires direct skin contact and concentration. When connecting in such a way, a Soryuu can learn what has happened to the plant in the past as far back as he would like. They cannot receive detailed descriptions of who or what passed by or interacted with the plant, but they can learn for example, if harm was done to it, what the weather was like, or if someone passed by and touched them or slept in their branches.

3. Kinetic Water Manipulation: Though Soryuu are aligned with Water,Earth, and Wind, their connection to water as the giver of all life is the strongest. Naturally, from birth, Soryuu Clan members can kinetically control water, drawing it from other sources, even from the air itself, and drawing it to them to be shaped at their will. The amount of water that can be gathered is no greater then the size of a basketball and the water cannot be heated or cooled, though it can be shaped however they like, though it retains all of its natural properties, and thus can be passed through normally like any other body of water. This requires no chakra and has no limitation to the number of times it can be done, but the water can only be gathered or kinetically moved a range of 20 ft from the user.
(Note: You cannot draw water from a human, dehydrating them, nor can you drain an object of all it's water, thus making it brittle or destroying it. You also cannot manipulate the water to surround, asphyxiate, or drown another person. The most you could do, is soak them.)

This technique can be used as a guard against Katon techniques, but only D-rank and below. The blaze of any C-rank or higher would be too strong for this technique to quench.

4. One-handed seals for Suiton/Bloodline techniques: When utilizing Suiton or Bloodline ninjutsu, a Soryuu need only form seals with one hand, leaving the other hand free to do/hold other things.

5. Earthen Restoration: Though their connection with water is strongest, Soryuu Clan members have an innate connection with the earth as well. The ambient chakra energy emitted by clan members is absorbed and refreshes the earth they tread upon. Everywhere they go, their mere presence revitalizes the earth with the nutrients and minerals it needs to be fertile and productive.



Weaknesses:

1. Empathic pain: Soryuu feel the pain of the plants they are connected to and they cannot ignore or break this link. Just as they can feel a plant's feelings and what they need, they can also feel their pain. This empathic link does not debilitate them on a small scale, such as picking flowers, walking on grass, or falling on a bush or something, but something larger like chopping down a large tree will send phantm pain through their bodies, causing uneasiness and serving as a distraction. Larger events, such as a large fire burst engulfing several trees have been known to completely halt a Soryuu, bringing them to their knees until they can adjust to the pain and respond. Very large events can knock them unconscious from the sudden pain felt. Soryuu can adjust to this pain over time and still function normally over prolonged periods of harm, such as in the case of a fire, or consistent felling of tress, but they still feel a consistent uneasiness in their bodies as if their bones ached from illness, or rigorous training.

2. Fire Averse: Soryuu cannot wield the Katon element and are particularly weak against it. Their primary element of Suiton can quell fire and is it's counter, but a Soryuu's body takes enhanced damage when fire strikes it. [All Katon effects which strike a Soryuu act as if they were a half rank stronger]

3. Lightning Averse: Though a natural phenomenon, lightning is seen as a source of fire and destruction, and thus is an enemy of the Soryuu. They do not receive additional damage from the element as they do with fire, but just like with Katon, they cannot wield the Raiton element, nor would any Soryuu choose to, even if they could.

4. Reality Shift: As isolationists, Soryuu have no knowledge of reality other then their own. This makes the concept of Genjutsu completely foreign to them. They cannot wield Genjutsu in any form, nor would really have too much of an ability to sense they were in a Genjutsu, or break out of it. They cannot learn Kai, nor can they utilize their connection with plants while in a Genjutsu to sense something is amiss.



Bloodline Jutsu:

Many of the clan's bloodline jutsu extend naturally from a Soryuu's connection with water and nature and their instinctual call to care for and protect it's purity. Such skills are natural extensions of their bodies and do not need to be 'learned' so much as they are always known. Such abilities do not require hand seals to utilize, but do require physical (skin) contact with the plant(s) affected.

Other jutsu require the use of specialized seeds called S.Seeds (Stem Seeds). These seeds are spherical in shape and about 1/2 an inch in diameter. To utilize any Seed technique, it requires the Soryuu clan member to hold the seed in one hand while performing a set of one-handed seals in the other. During the process, a Soryuu's Water Manipulation automatically kicks in and surrounds each seed used, activating the seeds for their final effect once the necessary action is completed. [S.Seed Custom (Custom Item)]

E-rank jutsu

Nourish - Utilizing their bloodline's natural gifts a Soryuu can touch any plant and allow his chakra to circulate through it, supplying all its nutrient needs. This technique also allows smaller plants like flowers and grass to be fully regenerated from only a stalk or small portion of the plant.
(This technique does not require hand seals, but requires skin contact to initiate)

Purify Water - Utilizing their bloodline's natural gifts, Soryuu can dip a finger in water and purify it of most harmful substances, including any poison one rank higher then the Soryuu's current rank which was added to it.* The water is instantly purified, tastes incredibly fresh and pure, and is even chilled for maximum refreshment. Each use of the technique can purify up to 1 square foot of water.
(This technique does not require hand seals, but requires skin contact to initiate)
* When negating poison, the user must pay the chakra cost for the rank of poison purified. This chakra cost is drained automatically without the user's knowledge and cannot be avoided . By feeling the pull of chakra from their systems, it reveals that the water was poisoned. If the poison used is 2 ranks higher then the user, it drains chakra up to a rank below the poison, but then stops. In such a case, the water is not purified, but the Soryuu still has his chakra drained.


Growth I - Utilizing their bloodline's natural gifts, Soryuu can inspire instant growth in a small seed, such as that of a flower, grass, or other small plant. Expending a D-rank of chakra, this effect can be spread over a small area, affecting any such small seeds under placed under your hand.
(This technique does not require hand seals, but requires skin contact to initiate)

Sprawling Moss - [Requires 1 S.Seed] After forming the necessary seals, the Soryuu slams the seed into the ground, a rock, or any other natural surface moss could grow on, which instantly generates a 3 foot diameter patch of moss from the center of their palm. The mossy patch is very slippery and for each post after it was initially created, the moss patch grows another foot in diameter. This maxes out after 2 posts, once the moss patch grows to a 5 foot diameter. The moss created is real living moss that will survive as long as moss naturally would in the area generated.

Numbing Pollen - [Requires 1 S.Seed] After forming the necessary seals, the Soryuu buries the seed in the ground and a one foot diameter patch of red and purple flowers grows instantly. This flower patch acts as a proximity mine, and will spray a 6 foot high pollen cloud straight up as soon as anything other then a Soryuu touches it . If the pollen is inhaled, it makes the head feel woozy and induces sneezing. This feeling lasts for one post. The flower patch is a real living flower patch that will survive as long as it naturally would. The pollen cloud has a cooldown of 5 posts.

D-rank jutsu

Growth II - Utilizing their bloodline's natural gifts, Soryuu can inspire growth in a larger seed, such as that of a tree sapling, or other large bush. Full growth of the plant takes 3 hours, but only requires the initial input of chakra from the Soryuu once, they do not have to wait around or channel chakra constantly.
[This skill works with S.Seeds, producing what looks like a miniature tree, with 4 S.Seeds hanging like fruit from the branches. Once the seeds are picked, the tree withers, producing a small patch of blue flowers in it's wake.]

Regenerate I - Utilizing their bloodline's natural gifts, this skill instantaneously heals a small sapling or bush, fully regenerating any lost limbs, leaves. If the whip succeeds in entangling an opponent, the Soryuu can release it and the remaining parts will constrict the opponent, much like being tied up by a rope. The vine is decently strong and cannot simply be snapped unless you have a C-rank of strength, or a sharp weapon to cut through it. If cut, the vine withers.

Lashing Vine - [Requires 2 S.Seeds] After forming the necessary seals, the user tosses the seeds to the ground, each one sprouting into a 10 foot long whipping vine which will attempt to entangle any foe it can. If the vine makes contact with an opponent, it will automatically try to entangle it, or grab an arm/leg as it is able. The vine is decently strong and cannot simply snapped unless you have a C-rank of strength, or a sharp weapon to cut it. Once snapped or cut, the vine withers and degrades into the ground. Otherwise, it will remain as long as a vine could naturally survive in the area it is planted. If uprooted with a C-rank of strength it withers.


C-rank jutsu

Growth III - Utilizing their bloodline's natural gifts, Soryuu can inspire full growth of any seed in 24 hours, but only requires the initial input of chakra from the Soryuu once, they do not have to wait around or channel chakra constantly. Whatever tree or plant produced fruits and flowers normally and will last as long as any other tree/plant of it's type.

Regenerate II - Utilizing their bloodline's natural gifts, this skill instantaneously heals any tree or plant so long as a decent portion of the trunk remains. It can also be used to spontaneously make any fruiting tree produce a small harvest of fruit... enough to fill 2 backpacks of fully ripened fruit per use. The fruit will stay fresh for a week.
(This technique does not require hand seals, but requires skin contact to initiate) [You must be a Chuunin to utilize this technique]

Wall of Brambles - [Requires 5 S.Seeds] Once thrown, the seeds utilized instantly sprout into a series of interlocking brambles which form a wall 15 feet high and 20 feet wide which is about 3 feet thick. The brambles created are real living brambles and are very hearty and coated with chakra. The chakra coating will resist one C-rank fire jutsu or 2 D-rank fire jutsu before it is destroyed, leaving the brambles as susceptible to fire as any normal plant-based wall. The wall can only be slashed through by a weapon utilized with a B-rank of strength. The brambles are tough and covered with sharpened spines which create vicious cuts to anyone trying to cut through, or simply running into them.

Binding Vine - [Requires 1 S.Seeds] Once thrown, the seed plants into the ground and spawns a 15 foot tall, half foot diameter entangling vine. Once it spawns, it will attempt to entangle the closest enemy, or if the hand seal used to perform the technique is held, the Soryuu can control the vine to entangle whatever he'd like. These vines are much stronger then those created using the Lashing Vines technique. They cannot be slashed our cut through by kunai or shuriken, and they can resist fire jutsu D-rank and below. The vines entangle their opponents with a C-rank of strength and require a B-rank of strength to escape from. The vines cannot constrict an opponent with enough force to suffocate or crush them, though its still not a pleasant experience. Once snapped or cut, the vine withers and degrades into the ground. The vine will last as long as it can naturally survive in the area it is planted. If cut or uprooted with a B-rank of strength it withers.

History/Description: An ancient and long forgotten lineage, members of the Soryuu clan live in complete isolation within forests the rest of the ninja world have never seen. They stand as a lasting remnant of the old ways, when humans and nature were inseparably linked and they remain still as the guardians of nature's purity and strength. The Soryuu are a long lived people, most living for over 200 years, but, much like nature, they develop slowly. A Soryuu is not considered a full adult until the age of 75, and someone in their 30's is but an adolescent. This however, does not limit their mental capacity or their ability to link with nature, making the Soryuu an extremely intelligent and wise group of people as they call upon years of experience and knowledge far beyond that of other lineages.

As guardians of nature, they protect it at all costs and feel a deep connection with all living plant life, no matter how small. This brings about a natural sense which enables them to 'speak' with plants, though it is much closer to empathy then actual language, allowing them to know how a tree or a flower feels rather then what it is thinking. This empathic link is automatic, as the souls of the Soryuu people are aligned with nature, producing a constant connection with it. This is not to say that the Soryuu people can control nature though... far from it. As the guardians of nature, Soryuu see themselves as the servants of nature, and thus would seldom ask it to do their will.

Unless you were a Soryuu clan member, you would never have heard of them, and likely have never seen or met one. Those few Soryuu who have left their homelands do so once even few centuries, and only then under call of prophecy and are allowed to leave only after having their knowledge of their homelands or their identities taken from them as a precaution against bringing corruption back. These few are called 'Ambassadors' and are sent out as an evaluation of life and nature outside of their isolation. A force within them always recalls them back to their homeland at some point, where a ritual of awakening takes place and their memories are returned to them so they may report on what they have seen and learned of the world.



Strengths:

1. Dual Affinity: All Soryuu are innately tied to the same natural elements of life, Water [Suiton], Earth [Doton], and Wind [Fuuton]. All Soryuu are born with a connection to Water and thus can manipulate and wield associated powers even as small children. As they grow in strength, they obtain the use of the other elements as well... Doton at Chuunin rank, and Fuuton at Jounin rank. Beyond these, they cannot learn any other elements, and are in fact unable to utilize Raiton or Katon techniques.

2. Plant Empathy: Soryuu have a specialized sense which allows them to 'feel' and understand all plants, large and small. In a 50 ft radius all around them, Soryuu are innately tied to any plant life in their vicinity and can feel the needs of the plant and understand it, allowing them to care for and revitalize them as needed. This connection is always present and it is seen as a 'calling or reaching' of the plants to be understood and have their needs attended to. Soryuu can also gather information from any plant, but this requires direct skin contact and concentration. When connecting in such a way, a Soryuu can learn what has happened to the plant in the past as far back as he would like. They cannot receive detailed descriptions of who or what passed by or interacted with the plant, but they can learn for example, if harm was done to it, what the weather was like, or if someone passed by and touched them or slept in their branches.

3. Kinetic Water Manipulation: Though Soryuu are aligned with Water,Earth, and Wind, their connection to water as the giver of all life is the strongest. Naturally, from birth, Soryuu Clan members can kinetically control water, drawing it from other sources, even from the air itself, and drawing it to them to be shaped at their will. The amount of water that can be gathered is no greater then the size of a basketball and the water cannot be heated or cooled, though it can be shaped however they like, though it retains all of its natural properties, and thus can be passed through normally like any other body of water. This requires no chakra and has no limitation to the number of times it can be done, but the water can only be gathered or kinetically moved a range of 20 ft from the user.
(Note: You cannot draw water from a human, dehydrating them, nor can you drain an object of all it's water, thus making it brittle or destroying it. You also cannot manipulate the water to surround, asphyxiate, or drown another person. The most you could do, is soak them.)

This technique can be used as a guard against Katon techniques, but only D-rank and below. The blaze of any C-rank or higher would be too strong for this technique to quench.

4. One-handed seals for Suiton/Bloodline techniques: When utilizing Suiton or Bloodline ninjutsu, a Soryuu need only form seals with one hand, leaving the other hand free to do/hold other things.

5. Earthen Restoration: Though their connection with water is strongest, Soryuu Clan members have an innate connection with the earth as well. The ambient chakra energy emitted by clan members is absorbed and refreshes the earth they tread upon. Everywhere they go, their mere presence revitalizes the earth with the nutrients and minerals it needs to be fertile and productive.



Weaknesses:

1. Empathic pain: Soryuu feel the pain of the plants they are connected to and they cannot ignore or break this link. Just as they can feel a plant's feelings and what they need, they can also feel their pain. This empathic link does not debilitate them on a small scale, such as picking flowers, walking on grass, or falling on a bush or something, but something larger like chopping down a large tree will send phantm pain through their bodies, causing uneasiness and serving as a distraction. Larger events, such as a large fire burst engulfing several trees have been known to completely halt a Soryuu, bringing them to their knees until they can adjust to the pain and respond. Very large events can knock them unconscious from the sudden pain felt. Soryuu can adjust to this pain over time and still function normally over prolonged periods of harm, such as in the case of a fire, or consistent felling of tress, but they still feel a consistent uneasiness in their bodies as if their bones ached from illness, or rigorous training.

2. Fire Averse: Soryuu cannot wield the Katon element and are particularly weak against it. Their primary element of Suiton can quell fire and is it's counter, but a Soryuu's body takes enhanced damage when fire strikes it. [All Katon effects which strike a Soryuu act as if they were a half rank stronger]

3. Lightning Averse: Though a natural phenomenon, lightning is seen as a source of fire and destruction, and thus is an enemy of the Soryuu. They do not receive additional damage from the element as they do with fire, but just like with Katon, they cannot wield the Raiton element, nor would any Soryuu choose to, even if they could.

4. Reality Shift: As isolationists, Soryuu have no knowledge of reality other then their own. This makes the concept of Genjutsu completely foreign to them. They cannot wield Genjutsu in any form, nor would really have too much of an ability to sense they were in a Genjutsu, or break out of it. They cannot learn Kai, nor can they utilize their connection with plants while in a Genjutsu to sense something is amiss.



Bloodline Jutsu:

Many of the clan's bloodline jutsu extend naturally from a Soryuu's connection with water and nature and their instinctual call to care for and protect it's purity. Such skills are natural extensions of their bodies and do not need to be 'learned' so much as they are always known. Such abilities do not require hand seals to utilize, but do require physical (skin) contact with the plant(s) affected.

Other jutsu require the use of specialized seeds called S.Seeds (Stem Seeds). These seeds are spherical in shape and about 1/2 an inch in diameter. To utilize any Seed technique, it requires the Soryuu clan member to hold the seed in one hand while performing a set of one-handed seals in the other. During the process, a Soryuu's Water Manipulation automatically kicks in and surrounds each seed used, activating the seeds for their final effect once the necessary action is completed. [S.Seed Custom (Custom Item)]

E-rank jutsu

Nourish - Utilizing their bloodline's natural gifts a Soryuu can touch any plant and allow his chakra to circulate through it, supplying all its nutrient needs. This technique also allows smaller plants like flowers and grass to be fully regenerated from only a stalk or small portion of the plant.

Purify Water - Utilizing their bloodline's natural gifts, Soryuu can dip a finger in water and purify it of most harmful substances, including any poison one rank higher then the Soryuu's current rank which was added to it. The water is instantly purified, tastes incredibly fresh and pure, and is even chilled for maximum refreshment. Each use of the technique can purify up to 1 square foot of water.

Growth I - Utilizing their bloodline's natural gifts, Soryuu can inspire instant growth in a small seed, such as that of a flower, grass, or other small plant. Expending a D-rank of chakra, this effect can be spread over a small area, affecting any such small seeds under placed under your hand.
(This technique does not require hand seals, but requires skin contact to initiate)

Sprawling Moss - [Requires 1 S.Seed] After forming the necessary seals, the Soryuu slams the seed into the ground, a rock, or any other natural surface moss could grow on, which instantly generates a 3 foot diameter patch of moss from the center of their palm. The mossy patch is very slippery and for each post after it was initially created, the moss patch grows another foot in diameter. This maxes out after 2 posts, once the moss patch grows to a 5 foot diameter. The moss created is real living moss that will survive as long as moss naturally would in the area generated.

Numbing Pollen - [Requires 1 S.Seed] After forming the necessary seals, the Soryuu buries the seed in the ground and a one foot diameter patch of red and purple flowers grows instantly. This flower patch acts as a proximity mine, and will spray a 6 foot high pollen cloud straight up as soon as anything touches it. If the pollen is inhaled, it makes the head feel woozy and induces sneezing. This feeling lasts for one post. The flower patch is a real living flower patch that will survive as long as moss naturally would. The pollen cloud has a cooldown of 5 posts.

D-rank jutsu

Growth II - Utilizing their bloodline's natural gifts, Soryuu can inspire growth in a larger seed, such as that of a tree sapling, or other large bush. Full growth of the plant takes 3 hours, but only requires the initial input of chakra from the Soryuu once, they do not have to wait around or channel chakra constantly.
[This skill works with S.Seeds, producing what looks like a miniature tree, with 4 S.Seeds hanging like fruit from the branches. Once the seeds are picked, the tree withers, producing a small patch of blue flowers in it's wake.]

[Custom - Soryuu,Kenji] Poison Vine Dart - [Requires 3 S.Seed] After forming the necessary seals, the Soryuu tosses the seeds to the ground which, each sprouting into it's own 6 foot tall vine with a sharp tip. Each vine, then immediately shoots a single poison dart at an opponent within a 25 foot range (each dart can be individually shot at a different target). If the needle strikes an opponent, it poisons the target, immobilizing the area hit for their next post. If it strikes the chest, both arms are immobilized, if it strikes the hip/groin, both legs are immobilized, if it strikes the neck or head, the enemy's vision is blurred, but no limb is immobilized. After the needles are shot, the vines wither and degrade.

C-rank jutsu

Growth III - Utilizing their bloodline's natural gifts, Soryuu can inspire full growth of any seed in 24 hours, but only requires the initial input of chakra from the Soryuu once, they do not have to wait around or channel chakra constantly. [Custom - Soryuu Kenji] Poison Field - [Requires 3 S.Seeds] A single one foot diameter flower stem erupts from the ground where the seeds were dropped, which blossoms into a rather large flower, with wide, thick, velvety petals and a deep purple core filled with a light purple pollen. As soon as the flower blooms, it releases a cloud of poison in the area which covers a 25 foot radius from the center of the flower. This poison cloud lasts for 3 posts and anyone caught within it who does not administer an antidote to the poisonous pollen is blinded, has their speed cut in half, and cannot breathe, thus inhibiting them from utilizing any technique requiring an incantation.


Alright, first things first, format. We haven't put the format in this thread yet, mainly cause we haven't really jumped into bloodline revamps much yet, but we have a newer format for them that is much better, and actually organizes things a bit. It can be found here. It can occasionally be a tiny bit complex, but it works nicely and makes things look a lot better. The format has a stage bit to it, but since this is a single stage bloodline you can just hack out that segment of code and it should work fine. I built the format to be a lot harder to break than normal since people seem amazingly adept at breaking them. Most bits of it can be chopped out, or even copied in, without breaking anything.

As a reference to the new format, most of your "Strength/Weaknesses" would fall under the "Benefits/Penalties" section, but the water manipulation, and possibly empathy, would fall under abilities.

Water Manipulation - Just a note really, but it might be a bit better to say that it counts as a D ranked jutsu in elemental conflicts. That way there's slightly less chance of someone using it to magically block a jutsu that even it shouldn't have been able to deal with, despite it's rank. But sadly only slightly.

Earthen Restoration - I had a random thought on this one. If you put a range on this and made it an ability, it could actually be utilized to keep any of your plants alive so long as you were close to them, regardless of the terrain they were planted on.

Fire Averse - Another thought, the plants should be particularly weak to fire as well, and I don't think that's really noted anywhere yet. Also, the effect on this should be either a set number of increments, or a full rank, since half ranks don't really mean anything anymore in most cases.

This isn't going to work. I've already explained why I don't want the hand seals bit referenced here. It can too easily lead to abuse of the system. The learning bit is worse, as it will result in anyone of this bloodline being allowed to autolearn all their bloodline jutsu, completely separating the bloodline from the systems we've put in place to balance learning speed. I know it's a bit odd to have to find/buy scrolls to learn your bloodline techniques, particularly if your bloodline is this secretive, but that's a problem all the bloodlines are having to deal with, and this one is no different in that regard. That entire quoted bit needs to be removed. It's fine to include notes like that on the specific jutsu (Excluding the autolearning bit.), but it can't be seen as a base ability or someone will abuse it.

Seeds - The seeds need to be done up in the following format. They can be pretty simple, since their main effects differ according to jutsu used, but I'd make them fairly detailed if you can. I'd recommend including a bit about the seed plant too. The format includes a "Slots" section. That determines how many fit in an inventory slot. Each slot is loosely considered to be about six cubic inches at maximum, or six by basically any number less than six should a full cubic be too much. So pretty much any number that would fit in that space if they were cubes in pretty much alright. (Unless it gets ridiculous, in which case pick a number that seems more balanced.) I'm not honestly sure where in the format the item should go, since most bloodlines don't come with a built in item, so just pick wherever it seems to fit the best.

On notes for the format, most of these jutsu seem to fall under supplementary ninjutsu. And for the seed jutsu, the number of seeds would fall under Prerequisites.

Purify - If this is going to affect poisons higher than it's own rank, it needs a scaling cost.

Pollen - Does the patch react to the creator of it? Or possibly any other Soryuu if not? You might want to correct the survival sentence, since it's not moss.

Growth II / Regen I - I kinda feel like these should require the one handed seals, considering the scale of their effects.

Lashing Vine - So you can snap it with C rank strength, or uproot it with D? I wonder if anyone will pick up on that loophole. Well, anyone that didn't read this post.

Poison Vine - One, as a personal this technically shouldn't be in the bloodline itself. Two, why not just give it a set cost per vine/dart, and let the user decide for themselves how many to make at a time?

Growth III / Regen II - Like with the previous, just due to sheer scale I'd feel much more comfortable requiring seals from these. Also, not a major note since we have no hunger system, but a basket is a very loose definition of scale. Also typo.

Brambles - I can't quite justify a jutsu that has the ability to block power equal to and even above it's own rank this thoroughly. The defenses either need to be lowered a bit, or the rank raised to at least B.

Binding Vines - The biggest problem with this one wasn't really immediately evident. Seems kinda hidden actually... I can't allow this to create five separate vines with B ranked strength. Not as a C rank jutsu. I can allow one as a C rank, possibly a couple more as a B rank. The full five I'd want at least A rank.

Poison Field - Again, personals shouldn't be in the bloodline post. The description implies that there might be a charging time before the flower blooms, and considering the rest of the jutsu, I like that implication, but the charging time isn't stated. The poison itself needs a maximum effective time on the victims to prevent it from being used to permanently cripple a character who doesn't have access to the antidote. (Also the antidote will need to be made.) Most notably, the breathing isn't going to work, since that's basically going to kill anyone you catch with this. There's three possible solutions to that problem though. Remove that effect entirely, reduce the effect to just making it hard to breath, or make it so the person has to be exposed to all three posts of poison before it causes that effect. Even then it still feels a bit powerful for a C rank...

A Soryuu is not considered a full adult until the age of 75, and someone in their 30's is but an adolescent. This however, does not limit their mental capacity or their ability to link with nature, making the Soryuu an extremely intelligent and wise group of people as they call upon years of experience and knowledge far beyond that of other lineages.

As guardians of nature, they protect it at all costs and feel a deep connection with all living plant life, no matter how small. This brings about a natural sense which enables them to 'speak' with plants, though it is much closer to empathy then actual language, allowing them to know how a tree or a flower feels rather then what it is thinking. This empathic link is automatic, as the souls of the Soryuu people are aligned with nature, producing a constant connection with it. This is not to say that the Soryuu people can control nature though... far from it. As the guardians of nature, Soryuu see themselves as the servants of nature, and thus would seldom ask it to do their will.

Unless you were a Soryuu clan member, you would never have heard of them, and likely have never seen or met one. Those few Soryuu who have left their homelands do so once even few centuries, and only then under call of prophecy and are allowed to leave only after having their knowledge of their homelands or their identities taken from them as a precaution against bringing corruption back. These few are called 'Ambassadors' and are sent out as an evaluation of life and nature outside of their isolation. A force within them always recalls them back to their homeland at some point, where a ritual of awakening takes place and their memories are returned to them so they may report on what they have seen and learned of the world.



Benefits & Penalties

Naturalist: All Soryuu are innately tied to the same natural elements of life, Water [Suiton], Earth [Doton], and Wind [Fuuton]. All Soryuu are born with a connection to Water and thus can manipulate and wield associated powers even as small children. As they grow in strength, they obtain the use of the other elements as well... Doton at Chuunin rank, and Fuuton at Jounin rank. Beyond these, they cannot learn any other elements, and are in fact unable to utilize Raiton or Katon techniques.

Plant Empathy: Soryuu have a specialized sense which allows them to 'feel' and understand all plants, large and small. In a 50 ft radius all around them, Soryuu are innately tied to any plant life in their vicinity and can feel the needs of the plant and understand it, allowing them to care for and revitalize them as needed. This connection is always present and it is seen as a 'calling or reaching' of the plants to be understood and have their needs attended to. Soryuu can also gather information from any plant, but this requires direct skin contact and concentration. When connecting in such a way, a Soryuu can learn what has happened to the plant in the past as far back as he would like. They cannot receive detailed descriptions of who or what passed by or interacted with the plant, but they can learn for example, if harm was done to it, what the weather was like, or if someone passed by and touched them or slept in their branches.

Kinetic Water Manipulation: Though Soryuu are aligned with Water,Earth, and Wind, their connection to water as the giver of all life is the strongest. Naturally, from birth, Soryuu Clan members can kinetically control water, drawing it from other sources, even from the air itself, and drawing it to them to be shaped at their will. The amount of water that can be gathered is no greater then the size of a basketball and the water cannot be heated or cooled, though it can be shaped however they like, though it retains all of its natural properties, and thus can be passed through normally like any other body of water. This requires no chakra and has no limitation to the number of times it can be done, but the water can only be gathered or kinetically moved a range of 20 ft from the user.
(Note: You cannot draw water from a human, dehydrating them, nor can you drain an object of all it's water, thus making it brittle or destroying it. You also cannot manipulate the water to surround, asphyxiate, or drown another person. The most you could do, is soak them.)

This technique can be used as a guard against Katon techniques, but only D-rank and below. The blaze of any C-rank or higher would be too strong for this technique to quench.

Earthen Restoration:Though their connection with water is strongest, Soryuu Clan members have an innate connection with the earth as well. The ambient chakra energy emitted by clan members is absorbed and refreshes the earth they tread upon. Everywhere they go, their mere presence revitalizes the earth with the nutrients and minerals it needs to be fertile and productive.


Empathic pain:Soryuu feel the pain of the plants they are connected to and they cannot ignore or break this link. Just as they can feel a plant's feelings and what they need, they can also feel their pain. This empathic link does not debilitate them on a small scale, such as picking flowers, walking on grass, or falling on a bush or something, but something larger like chopping down a large tree will send phantm pain through their bodies, causing uneasiness and serving as a distraction. Larger events, such as a large fire burst engulfing several trees have been known to completely halt a Soryuu, bringing them to their knees until they can adjust to the pain and respond. Very large events can knock them unconscious from the sudden pain felt. Soryuu can adjust to this pain over time and still function normally over prolonged periods of harm, such as in the case of a fire, or consistent felling of tress, but they still feel a consistent uneasiness in their bodies as if their bones ached from illness, or rigorous training.

Fire Averse: Soryuu cannot wield the Katon element and are particularly weak against it. Their primary element of Suiton can quell fire and is it's counter, but a Soryuu's body takes enhanced damage when fire strikes it. [All Katon effects which strike a Soryuu act as if they were a rank stronger]

Lightning Averse: Though a natural phenomenon, lightning is seen as a source of fire and destruction, and thus is an enemy of the Soryuu. They do not receive additional damage from the element as they do with fire, but just like with Katon, they cannot wield the Raiton element, nor would any Soryuu choose to, even if they could.

Reality Shift: As isolationists, Soryuu have no knowledge of reality other then their own. This makes the concept of Genjutsu completely foreign to them. They cannot wield Genjutsu in any form, nor would really have too much of an ability to sense they were in a Genjutsu, or break out of it. They cannot learn Kai, nor can they utilize their connection with plants while in a Genjutsu to sense something is amiss.



Bloodline Jutsu

Though it is not known as ninjutsu, Taneton (Seed Jutsu) has been a technique utilized by Soryuu for millenia. Using a rare type of seed known as a Stem Seed (or S.Seed [See Custom Here]), Soryuu are able to inject chakra into the seed and influence the way it grows to create a variety of effects. To utilize these jutsu, a Soryuu clan member holds in S.Seed in one hand and makes One-handed seals with the other. During this process, a Soryuu's kinetic water manipulation automatically kicks in and surrounds the seeds used with water, activating them and the jutsu.

The variety of uses an S.Seed has loans itself well to individuality and creativity. Among the Soryuu, these jutsu are seldom used as they do not fight between themselves, and as isolationists they don't encounter threats from others that are resolved by combat. Most advances in Seed Jutsu are custom jutsu developed by 'Ambassadors' as a necessity when interacting with the outside world...


Sprawling Moss : [Requires 1 S.Seed] After forming the necessary seals, the Soryuu slams the seed into the ground, a rock, or any other natural surface moss could grow on, which instantly generates a 3 foot diameter patch of moss from the center of their palm. The mossy patch is very slippery and for each post after it was initially created, the moss patch grows another foot in diameter. This maxes out after 2 posts, once the moss patch grows to a 5 foot diameter. The moss created is real living moss that will survive as long as moss naturally would in the area generated. [E-rank]

Numbing Pollen : [Requires 1 S.Seed] After forming the necessary seals, the Soryuu buries the seed in the ground and a one foot diameter patch of red and purple flowers grows instantly. This flower patch acts as a proximity mine, and will spray a 6 foot high pollen cloud straight up as soon as anything other then a Soryuu touches it . If the pollen is inhaled, it makes the head feel woozy and induces sneezing. This feeling lasts for one post. The flower patch is a real living flower patch that will survive as long as it naturally would. The pollen cloud has a cooldown of 5 posts. [E-rank]

Vine Whip : [Requires 1 S.Seed] After forming the necessary seals, the Soryuu clamps the seed in their hand and the seed sprouts a single 7 foot long vine which can be used as a whip. The whip acts as a standard weapon, except that it can be controlled to entangle an opponent when it gets near. If the whip succeeds in entangling an opponent, the Soryuu can release it and the remaining parts will constrict the opponent, much like being tied up by a rope. The vine is decently strong and cannot simply be snapped unless you have a C-rank of strength, or a sharp weapon to cut through it. If cut, the vine withers. [D-rank]

Lashing Vine : [Requires 2 S.Seeds] After forming the necessary seals, the user tosses the seeds to the ground, each one sprouting into a 10 foot long whipping vine which will attempt to entangle any foe it can. If the vine makes contact with an opponent, it will automatically try to entangle it, or grab an arm/leg as it is able. The vine is decently strong and cannot simply snapped unless you have a C-rank of strength, or a sharp weapon to cut it. Once snapped or cut, the vine withers and degrades into the ground. Otherwise, it will remain as long as a vine could naturally survive in the area it is planted. If uprooted with a C-rank of strength it withers. [D-rank]

Wall of Brambles : [Requires 5 S.Seeds] Once thrown, the seeds utilized instantly sprout into a series of interlocking brambles which form a wall 15 feet high and 20 feet wide which is about 3 feet thick. The brambles created are real living brambles and are very hearty and coated with chakra. The chakra coating will resist one C-rank fire jutsu or 2 D-rank fire jutsu before it is destroyed, leaving the brambles as susceptible to fire as any normal plant-based wall. The wall can only be slashed through by a weapon utilized with a B-rank of strength. The brambles are tough and covered with sharpened spines which create vicious cuts to anyone trying to cut through, or simply running into them. [C-rank]

Binding Vine : [Requires 1 S.Seeds] Once thrown, the seed plants into the ground and spawns a 15 foot tall, half foot diameter entangling vine. Once it spawns, it will attempt to entangle the closest enemy, or if the hand seal used to perform the technique is held, the Soryuu can control the vine to entangle whatever he'd like. These vines are much stronger then those created using the Lashing Vines technique. They cannot be slashed our cut through by kunai or shuriken, and they can resist fire jutsu D-rank and below. The vines entangle their opponents with a C-rank of strength and require a B-rank of strength to escape from. The vines cannot constrict an opponent with enough force to suffocate or crush them, though its still not a pleasant experience. Once snapped or cut, the vine withers and degrades into the ground. The vine will last as long as it can naturally survive in the area it is planted. If cut or uprooted with a B-rank of strength it withers. [C-rank]

Stage 1
Nature's Friend


Description: All Soryuu are deemed to be Nature's Friend and are in fact born into the world with the basic abilities required to care for and help nature even in small ways. Children are all encouraged to explore and learn from the forest, feeling what they feel and help by doing what comes most naturally to them. It is not uncommon to see young children often sitting for long periods of time, having conversations with flowers or a small sapling tree, speaking to it as if it was speaking back. It is during this stage that Soryuu begin to learn who they are and what their primary purpose in life is, which is to befriend and help nature.

To Obtain:

❶ All Soryuu start at this Stage, it is their birthright.
❷ All techniques are granted to the user upon reaching this stage, no additional training is required.
❸All techniques in this stage require no hand seals, but do require skin contact to initiate

Abilities

Nourish : Utilizing their bloodline's natural gifts a Soryuu can touch any plant and allow his chakra to circulate through it, supplying all its nutrient needs. This technique also allows smaller plants like flowers and grass to be fully regenerated from only a stalk or small portion of the plant. [E-rank Cost]

Cleanse: Utilizing their bloodline's natural gifts, Soryuu can dip a finger in water and purify it of all natural contaminants (does not affect poisons). The water is instantly purified, tastes incredibly fresh and pure, and is even chilled for maximum refreshment. Each use of the technique can purify up to 1 square foot of water. [E-rank Cost]

Sprout: Utilizing their bloodline's natural gifts, Soryuu can inspire instant growth in a small plant, such as that of a patch of flowers or grass, small bush, or sapling. The growth occurs over an hour, but does not require constant attention from the user to be completed. [D-rank Cost]


Stage 2
Nature's Guardian


Description: After many years, commonly about the age of 75 for most Soryuu (in isolation), an individual has become not just a friend of Nature, but it's Guardian. At this level, the needs of the forest are known and the Soryuu is able to be proactive in providing what is needed, and is able to detect threats against nature more readily, enabling them to counteract them.

To Obtain:

❶ Must obtain the rank of Chuunin by collecting mission points (This cannot be auto-ranked, the user must obtain to appropriate amount of mission points in actual RP time to achieve this stage.)
❷ After gaining the rank of Chuunin, an awakening occurs which compels Soryuu Clan members to embark into the wilderness on a survival journey with one or two close friends. Nothing can be brought with them except the clothes on their back, neither food, water, or ninja tools. Nature itself guides the Soryuu, where they learn all the abilities within the stage by practicing and utilizing them to get themselves and their friends through the trial. [The Journey requires 10 in the wilderness posts to complete]
❸ All techniques in this stage require no hand seals, but do require skin contact with to initiate

Abilities

Fruit: An enhancement of Nourish, this technique does everything Nourish does, except that an excess amount of chakra enables the plant to spontaneously grow fruit which the user can pick from it. This creates about two handfuls of fruit from any given plant, and the fruit will stay fresh for about three days.[D-rank Cost]

Purify: An enhancement of the basic cleanse technique, Purify does everything Cleanse does to a larger amount of water (up to 5 cubic feet) as well as allow a Soryuu to detect and remove poisons from the water. When negating poison, the user must pay the chakra cost for the rank of poison purified. This chakra cost is drained automatically without the user's knowledge and cannot be avoided . By feeling the pull of chakra from their systems, it reveals that the water was poisoned. If the poison used is 2 ranks higher then the user, it drains chakra up to a rank below the poison, but then stops. In such a case, the water is not purified, but the Soryuu still has his chakra drained. [E-rank + Poison Rank Cost]

Regenerate: A sister skill to Growth, Regenerate targets trees and plants which are missing limbs or are otherwise harmed. So long as the trunk of a tree or the stalk of a plant remains, Regenerate will restore it to it's full size and health in 3 hours. Like Growth, this effect can be spread over a 5 foot radius if the plants being healed are not as large as a fully grown oak tree. [C-rank Cost]

Growth: An enhancement of Sprout, Growth does everything Sprout does, but to larger seeds. Growth allows for full trees to be grown from a seed in merely 24 hours and does not require constant attention from the Soryuu, only an initial input of chakra. This effect can be spread over a 5 foot radius if the plants being grown are not as large as a fully grown oak tree. [C-rank Cost]


Stage 3
Nature's Champion


Description: The strongest Soryuu of every generation eventually grow to be the Champions of Nature, utilizing their gifts and abilities to aggressively seek out and eliminate threats to nature. Their skills take on a larger area of effect, allowing them to accomplish much more then several other Soryuu could in a single technique. These Soryuu are the captains and commanders of their people and care for large sections of the forest, managing and taking account of everything that happens within their jurisdiction. It is not uncommon for champions to learn and utilize seed jutsu and even spar against each other, both for entertainment and sport, to keep themselves prepared in the event that something warranting such combat presents itself.

To Obtain:

❶ Must obtain the rank of Jounin by collecting mission points (This cannot be auto-ranked, the user must obtain to appropriate amount of mission points in actual RP time to achieve this stage.)
❷ Upon gaining the rank of Jounin, a second awakening occurs where the Soryuu is compelled to find a poisoned and ailing forest and heal it's woes. Nature itself guides the Soryuu, where they learn all the abilities within the stage by practicing and utilizing them as they find the source of the forest's corruption, eradicate it, and heal the forest. The Soryuu can bring one or two close friends to help in this quest. [The Journey requires 15 in the ailing forest to complete]
❸ All techniques in this stage require skin contact to initiate, some with a single one-handed seal held as part of the technique.


Abilities

Harvest: An enhancement of Fruit, through an excess amount of chakra then the plant needs for nourishment, this technique enables the plant to spontaneously grow fruit which the user can pick from it. This creates about two backpacks full of fruit from any given plant, and the fruit will stay fresh for about a week. [C-rank Cost]

Purify Air: This ritual allows a Soryuu to purify the air much like they are able to purify water. There are two phases of this technique. Phase 1 can be used without using Phase 2, but Phase 2 requires that Phase 1 be utilized first.

Phase 1 - Holding a one-handed seal, the Soryuu cleans and purifies all of the air in a 5 foot radius around them. This sphere follows the Soryuu wherever they go and can be maintained as long as the Soryuu has the chakra to pay for the technique. The air pocket requires a C-rank of chakra to create and a D-rank of chakra per post to maintain.

Phase 2 - After creating the air pocket sphere described above, the Soryuu can hold a one-handed seal and concentrate for 2 posts, chanting in an ancient language lost to all but the Soryuu Clan. At the end of the ritual, the Soryuu completes a series of hand seals and channels an additional A-rank of chakra into the technique (on top of the cost to maintain the pocket of air for the 2 channeling posts). This causes the pocket of air to shatter into it's surroundings to a radius of 100 feet around the user, purifying the air and creating a barrier to separate the purified air from any remaining poisoned air.

Mass Regenerate: An enhancement of Growth, this allows the user to spread the effect of the ability over a wider radius, up to a 25 ft radius. This effects all damaged plants in the area so long as they still have a majority of their trunk or stalk left to regenerate. All plants effected are restored to full health in 3 hours. [B-rank cost , requires a one handed seal to be held to initiate the technique]

Mass Growth: An enhancement of Growth, this allows the user to spread the effect of the ability over a wider radius, up to a 25 ft radius. This effects all seeds in the area, regardless of size and brings them all to full growth in 24 hours. [A-rank cost , requires a one handed seal to be held to initiate the technique]



Stage 4
Nature's Salvation


Description: Ancient tales tell of individual Soryuu who were granted incredible powers by the forest when nature itself was in the most desperate need. These Legendary figures are worshiped among the Soryuu people are are seen as true avatars of nature, sent by the forces of nature to bring both it's wrath against it's foes as well as restore it to it's proper order and strength. Among the Soryuu, only a few of these figures have ever surfaced, and even then only once every thousand years or so, leaving many generations between which have never seen or experienced a time when such a Legend walked among them.

To Obtain: Must obtain the rank of Sannin by collecting mission points (This cannot be auto-ranked, the user must obtain to appropriate amount of mission points in actual RP time to achieve this stage.)

❷ A great need of near cataclysmic levels must arrive for a Soryuu to obtain this level of power. At such a time, the Soryuu will receive an awakening, when a guardian spirit of the land binds to them and reveals the path they must take. They must seek out and find an ancient temple and pass it's trials before they will be granted the powers below. Only two close friends can be brought on this journey with them. [The Journey requires 20 posts during this trial to complete]
