Mizutenma kept doing the jutsu over and over again. Nothing had changed. He tried two more times while imagining the water being frozen but no luck.

He took a break and looked around. Varro looked like he was ahead of me by a lot. I sighed. 'How's he still in the academy. He's good already.' I thought then decided to get back to work.

I started to use more of my chakra hoping it'll help me. "Mizu Soujuu!" I shouted again. The water started to freeze again but it covered the whole bucket instead of parts of it. He kept putting chakra into it but the ice melted like last time after a second. He then had an idea how to do it.

Varro re-worked the hand signs, this time allowing his body to move instinctively while he focused heavily on the flow of chakra. He tried to encapsulate the swimming tendrils of energy that gathered, compressing within areas that the signs pushed and controlled them to. The response within him to the surrounding power started to feel more cooperative, yet as he came to the end of the jutsu he felt a bit of it loosen itself from his grasp.

His mind had become more wrapped up into the distractions of thought, and outside stimuli that he lost grasp. Within the final movements he was able to re-coop a portion.

"Mizu Soujuu!" he stated, again in the same forceful quiet. The atoms within the water started to slow rather then quicken as they had before, causing the water to freeze in the center. Leaving a fairly large ice cube that floated freely within the now colder bucket.

Mizutenma did the hand signs over and over again to make sure he had it in his mind. He started to build up more chakra while doing the hand signs. He took a deep breath then said,"Mizu Soujuu!"

He used up most of his chakra this time and kept giving it a steady flow of chakra rather than all at once like he did. The water started to freeze all over. The water kept freezing below unlike last time. He stopped giving it chakra and smiled. He had finished the jutsu. The ice stayed frozen too.

"That was annoying,"Mizutenma said while sitting down. He looked at the others. Varro looked like he was almost done.

(I feel bad making the post before Ezra has even made one, but keep in mind Kami. Even if the player has yet to respond it doesn't mean their characters haven't. Don't consider your posts in real time, consider that of course everyone else is doing it to, even if the player hasn't had the chance to say they are yet. Oh, and main reason I'm finishing. Going inactive tell later tonight. Don't respond to this OOC unless you are going to do so quickly before a rp post.)

Varro took in yet another breath, he had the jetsu down. Every movement, every bit of the concept memorized. Yet he had never really worked with chakra before, so while it took some time to get his mind around how to control what power he did have there was a sudden understanding this time.

Again he moved his hands in coordination with the signs, the flowing energy becoming trapped within his mind, becoming his to move and manipulate in the way he wanted. He kept his focus and when the last sign was made he spoke the words of the jutsu for the third time "Mizu Soujuu!"

The water in the bucket quickly started to bowl, bubbles of heat rose to the surface in fast succession, the ice cube he had formed earlier melting and joining the frothing water. The water stayed getting warmer as he focused on it until the water started to boil over onto the floor. In one last show; mainly for himself, to insure he had it. He made the gestures of the hand signs.

"Mizu Soujuu!" Varro stated sternly, the water stopped boiling and just as quickly froze down to the very bottom. Since the water had been busy boiling over at the time, it had frozen in this exact shape, with pieces of ice flowing up over the top of the bucket. He smiled to himself, happy with his progress. Yet now, he felt a little of that drain he had always read about.

(Thank you Vincent, I appreciate it. A friend was sick and I went inactive for the rest of the night, and then class and stuff. Thank you for the consideration though. (= )

Rei looked at Shige who in turn cocked his head, she looked back at the board and committed the hand signs to memory. She closed her eyes and tapped into her icy chakra. It was a little bit wild and hard to control...
She formed the hand signs and forcefully whispered, "Mizu Soujuu" and forced the chakra out of her. Spikes of water froze in the bucket from the surface and stuck in the bottom. They were rather wicked looking... She would need more control and then she would try again.

After a deep breath, she decided to try again. She drew her hands to the center of her chest and pulled on her chakra, more slowly this time. As the chakra started to flow, she made the hand signs, more quickly this time, and released the chakra, more like a gentle pull.
She looked down to see the results and the water barely simmered. She would get the hang of this! She sighed in a little exasperation and looked down at Shige.

Shige whined, his human looked so frustrated. He hopped up on the bench and looked at Varro and his work. In sympathy, he leaned hard on his teammate.

Rei felt Shige lean on her and she sighed and leaned back. She could feel his muscles move under the warm pelt as he filled and emptied his lungs, She couldn't help but to breathe in his scent. It comforted her, she grew up with him. This was her clan, and she drew strength from that and her partner. She took a sharp inhale, tapped into her chakra with an iron will and visualized what she wanted. She made the hand signs, they flowed like water as her muscles made the signs faster than ever. Her chakra turned into molten iron as she poured it into that bucket of water. As she was looking at the bucket, a ball of ice hovered above the water as the rest started to boil. She had done it.

Shi giggled once and beamed at Shige, and then she realized she was being silly and calmed down. She was so happy with her partner. It was him that reminded her of her Clan's strength. As a return, she picked the ball of ice, now a little smaller, out of the slightly warm water and tossed it in the air. Shige caught it and munched on it appreciatively.

Rei looked back up at their Sensei and waited hoping he would approve of her and Varro's work. Ella no ve el trabaja de Mizu.

LT nodded in content as the students success. Although he was going easier on them than with squad three. Still who is he to complain about their timing, back when LT was in a squad with Zane Hajime, and Luo Ushio, LT was always the last one to show up. Zane would always rush into combat, Luo would assess the battle field, and LT would show up last minute to bring the final blows. "You guys did good for your first jutsu, from what i can see you all need to work on chakra control. In later stages, chakra control becomes very important, it will allow you to walk on water, run up trees, side of buildings, hanging from rafters." LT erased the symbols on the chalk board and began writing the next set. "This next jutsu is Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu (Water Clone Technique)" LT turned around to face the class and preformed hand signs slowly so they can all see, using water manipulation he pulled water from the very air around them, out of that water he formed another water clone. "This clone you will make will be your practice dummy for your next few jutsu's" LT said as he punched a whole in the newly made water clone, the clone seemed to disappear in a cloud of mist, rather than explode. But to the students it looked like the clone died, but in actuality, the clone left.

Exit water clone.

Mizutenma saw the hand signs LT was going and started to do it 100 times to get it my head. He increased the speed each time though. He took a deep breath and focused on the water vapor and my chakra input.

Mizutenma said," Mizu Bushin no Jutsu!" He felt the air around him get less moist. He kept putting chakra in it in a steady flow. He took a glance on the side of him and saw a really messed up water clone of him. It had one arm, no legs, it was about the size of a chair. He frowned and tried to think how to perfect it.

Mizutenma did the hand signs again. He pictured another copy of him. He concentrated on the water vapor in the air again and said,"Mizu Bushin no Jutsu!"

He put half of his chakra in the clone this time instead of keep putting a stream of chakra in it. He felt the air get drier like last time. He looked in the corner of his eye and saw a better but horrible version of himself. Once Mizutenma saw it, it started to fall turning into a puddle of water. "Ugh! Why can't I do it?!" he said in frustration.

Mizutenma figured out how to do it while doing the hand signs. He focused on his chakra and the water vapor. He pictured him making another copy. He took a deep breath and said," Mizu Bushin no Jutsu!"

He felt the the air twist around him and getting really dry like last time. He didn't look this time. He kept putting most of his chakra in it. He kept his concentration and then felt a someone behind him. He looked around and thought he was looking in a mirror. It was a perfect copy of Mizutenma. He didn't turn into a puddle o water and the original Mizutenma smiled.

Varro smiled over to Rei as she got the technique down around the time he did. The way she playfully tossed the ice to her furry companion again showed the compassion she had within her that would make her an asset to a team dichotomy. When Lt addressed them again his attention quickly shifted back to his teacher. When the discussion of chakra control was mentioned, he had a feeling that this next lesson was a chance to prove to himself that he understood the concept perfectly. While his levels of chakra may be low compared to the higher ranks, what he did have he had confidence that he now knew how to work with it.

The hand signals were drawn on the board, and he took a moment to listen to the ideas behind the jutsu, remembering what he read about it. When Lt showed his example, he took in his movement with quick memorization. Nodding very slightly to himself he took in a breath.

Varro moved his hands in exact coordination with the way Lt had previously shown, feeling that his body knew the movement without directive from his brain he turned his focus on the chakra. The moisture in the air bended and gathered together in a singular area at the directive of his mind, the flow of energy known as chakra felt well within his grasp. At the end of the hand signs he felt the copy of himself form.

"Mizu Bushin no Jutsu!"
He commanded to the water he had formed. Standing next to him was a copy that by all means looked perfect. He turned his head, and the copy did the same. They both gave a proud smile to each other and returned their gaze directly back to their sensei.

LT watched Mizu figure out how to make a water clone, he did well and was impressed with the boys determination. LT nodded to the boy in improvement. LT turned his head just in time to just in time as Varro easily completed the clone jutsu. LT was taken aback for a second in total silence. "No one has been able to learn that jutsu so quickly... except for those with sharingans and other genkai, that was almost as fast as when the mizukage did it when he was younger." Which was ironic because the mizukage is still in his teens. But curious as how the boy was able to learn the jutsu LT decided to ask another question. "Who is your father?"

((@Vincent-talk to Luo about who your father is, if you do get accepted into the Ushio Clan))
