Tansy smiled and nodded. "I don't think that there will be any complaints. And Thank you." She walked inside and looked around, checking for open windows and possible exits in case things went south. She wasn't about to let the group become endangered again because of another one of her stupid mistakes. That and...they could never to be sure who was looking in on them. She walked over to a window and closed the shades. "I hope you don't mind, be we can't be to careful." She said softly, not wanting to step on toes, but wanting to be safe. She hated feeling like a fugitive on the run. But that is almost what they were. She looked around and nodded, satisfied with herself. She twitched as she wings pressed against the straps. She mentally held herself back. Now was not a good time. Not until they explained things.

Shane says quietly to Gidget, "I've got some spare clothes for you in the guest room. Go ahead and change while I talk with your friends."
Gidget looks to her new family, then to Shane. She gives him one more big hug and whispers, "Go easy on them. They saved my life yesterday."
Shane smiles as he watches his little sister bounce over to the guest room. He turns toward the group, particularly at Tansy, and says, "I can assure you that Charles Ray has no influence on this campus. This is the safest place you guys can be right now. You can go ahead and let your wings out Tansy. Don't worry, Gidget told me about you guys a few weeks ago in an email. Make yourselves at home while I get some food ready." He departs for the kitchen, where a few moments later the familiar hum of a microwave can be heard.

Annie raised a brow surprised at what Shane said: so he knew of all their powers and was okay with that? Cautiously she stepped slid down against the wall onto the carpeted floor below and pinched the bridge of her nose.
Closing her eyes, Annie asked, "So, you know about the extent of all of our powers, then, Mr. Morris?"

There is a ding from the microwave and Shane walks into den with a plate full of bacon, egg, and cheese toquitos. He sets it down on the table and shakes his head, "I wouldn't go that far, but I am familiar with the basis of them." He points to each of them as he speaks, "Ako: you can create and discharge electricity. Garret: You can create ice from the moisture in the air. Annie: you can make acid from any liquid. And Tansy: you came back from the dead with a new set of wings as a souvenir. Also, please call me Shane. Only the students on campus call me mister, and it makes me feel old."
He looks around the group and scratches his head, "I thought there were five of you. Where is Elliot?"

"That is more or less right about our powers I suppose... I'm sorry about the 'Mr. Morris' too," she said, "it is part of my Southern upbringing. Everyone is 'sir' or 'ma'am', even my peers." Smiling she sighed, "Anyhow, I am a student on campus- art and sociology major."
To be honest, Annie hadn't really thought about the sixth of the group, after everything that had happened. "Wherever he is, it is good he isn't with us... or I'm pretty sure of that. As you can tell, we've all been through the wringer with Mr. Ray."

Ako took one of the toquitos and thanked Shane. The little burritos smelled wonderful, and and he had to restrain himself from wolfing them all down before everyone else got a chance. He took a bite and nodded as Shane stated his understanding of their powers.

Shane nods and takes and sits on right arm of his sofa. "Yes, Charles Ray..." He reaches onto his hip where there is a case. While normally one would hold his cell phone on his hip, Shane Morris carries his glasses. He places them on his face and presses them up the bridge of his nose gingerly.
"If someone would be so kind as to explain how you got involved with him?"
Gidget hops out of the guest room wearing a pair of blue jeans and a baby doll T-shirt with a kitten on it. Her eyes go wide and she attacks the plate of toquitos.

"Basically Ray wanted to use Gidget's powers for his own evil aqendas. He invited ous out for dinner and captured us. But not before I shot him up with a couple of spikes. But..he still overpowerd us. It all went down hill from there. 'Til we broke out, had a little fight, blew up the place and here we are now."
Garret sits down in a leather two seater. Then reaching over to take a Toquito before Gidge ate them al he said, "Nice digs." and bit his snack thoughtlessly glancing around. "So, you know about our powers," He said cutting to the chase of why they came. "But do you have any idea why?"

Shane can't help but grin. He looks over at Gidget, "I'm guessing it was you who orchestrated the explosion?"
Gidget burps and blushes a little. "Sort of..."
He chuckles at his sister and looks back at the Garret and the others, "By why do you mean why did it happen, or why only you...because I can tell you right now that you guys aren't as unique as you might think." He lifts himself off of the edge of the sofa and paces a bit while adjusting his glasses, a habit of his.
"However, the fact that people with extra-ordinary powers have only popped up en-mass after the meteor show that killed Tansy has killed a number of theories that my colleagues and I have hypothesized. It's difficult to say, but I have some ideas. Before we get into that though, I need to know exactly what happened last night. You say there was a fight, Charles Ray is but a single man. You can't tell me that you four couldn't handle him."

Garret thought back to the night before. "We would have taken him on if he didnt trap us inside our own minds." And a question came up he had forgotten about because it was resolved. "Also...why did I lose my memory?"

Shane back peddles a bit upon hearing of Garret's plight, "You suffered amnesia due to exposure from the meteor fragment? Did any of you suffer similar effects? Gidget you can put your hand down, you remembered to come here after all."

"Well, I blacked out and woke up in the hospital, but other than the time between the meteor strike and the hospital, I remember everything." Ako said, managing to get another taquito before Gidget inhaled them all.
He smiled and chuckled as he took a seat on the floor and leaned back against the couch. "The EKG didn't know what to make of me."

Grabbing a taquito, Annie closed her eyes and said, "I passed out about fifteen minutes after getting hit from blood loss. Beyond that I was fine. I came to in the hospital, besides having to get several stitches on my arm and leg and a minor burn I was fine. I remembered everything well enough, which isn't too surprising as I had no head trauma. I called my father as soon as I could and end up not going to any check-ups besides getting the stitches removed after I went to the hospital."
She shrugged. "Which considering everything is probably not a wise decision as I don't think my blood is how it is supposed to be anymore: blood isn't supposed to be black and smell a bit like almonds."

Letting out her wings she smiled somewhat as she stretched them out and and rolled her shoulder before they steeled down once more. She sighed, Garret didn't do a very good job at telling the story of their time with Charles, but first she needed to answer his second question. "I remember everything from right before the meteor hit me in the back of the head, and everything after I awoke in my own coffin two weeks later. I don't know anything that happened to me between that time. And as to what happened last night..." She took a deep breath. "Mr. Ray also have a power. He can bring ones greatest fear to life. So while we might have been fighting him, we fought ourselves in a sense. And while we fought, he used your sister's ability to build himself a robotic army. We wouldn't have gotten into this mess if I hadn't let the others go to dinner. Mr. Ray had wanted to talk to me about somehow, recreating my power to help others come back from the dead in a sense. But he had no means with which to copy it. And that is where Gidget came into the story." She sighed once more. "It's my fault, so if you wish to blame anyone for what happen, I take all responsibility. If only I had staid dead, none of this would have happened, and none of you would be in any danger."
