Anei gave a heavy sigh. "How can I not knowing that Sokras is in danger?" He looked off to the side. "In all seriousness, though, I know not how I can be of assistance..." In the moment, his wife brought the food in followed by their sons.

Sokras relaxed. Knowing that Anei was going to help was a call for relief. But something else bugged him. "Um... Anei...why? ...Earlier...why were you willing to fight so hard for me? Kujo can incite strong negativity in one, but it requires the existence of atleast a small emotion. So, after all this time...why try to save me now?" Sokras' tone was confused and upset at the same time. He was having a problem trying to understand why a person who had abandoned him before suddenly tried to protect him.

"Why?" Anei looked perplexed that Sokras had even asked. "Well, I've always protected you naturally. Since then, I was the strongest. Sokras, you're like a little brother to me. Is it so strange for me to want to protect you like family?" He looked at Sokras with truth in his eyes.

Sokras winced and looked away from Anei's eyes. "I...I see..." He was afraid that was the reason. So, in the end, he was the only person at that time battling with such conflicting emotions. He gave a short, sad laugh. So, I'm his little brother, eh? I asked and this is my answer.

Sokras decided not to lie and shook his head. "I'll get over it..." He whispered back.

Anei raised an eyebrow. "Is...Are you okay Sokras?"

"Of course. I'll help you any way I can. But first, we eat!" Anei declared as his wife poured their drinks.

Sokras stared at the table thinking. Then he noticed someone was watching him. Turning away from Austin, he saw Haku staring up at him. "Yes?" Haku then smiled brightly. "You're a very pretty lady!" Sokras= gonk .

Anei snickered silently. He took a breath before speaking. "Austin's right, Haku. Sokras is a boy." Haku's eyes widened. "Eeeh!? But he's so pretty! I thought only ladies like mama were pretty!"

Sokras settled deeper into groom. "I can't help it if I have such a feminine appearance..."

Gin snorted. "Weirdos." Anei laughed and ruffled Gin's hair. "I ask that you refrain from too much of that. There are still some things I have yet to explain to my sons."

Sokras cheeks reddened slightly. "S-sorry! We'll keep that in mind for the duration of our stay here." Sokras picked up a piece of fruit and nibbled on it.

Anei rasied an eyebrow. "Nice to know your habits haven't changed. Austin, I'm guessing Sokras doesn't eat a lot of meat still?"

"Hmm. Is that so? He never ate much of my cooking..." Anei commented.

"That's because you mostly cooked meat!" Sokras retorted. "Steaks, hamburgers, hot-dogs, and pork... People eat other things too!"

"HEy now! You shouldn't be complaining! If you at least don't eat some meat you'll stay short forever!" He teased. "But since it seems you two have similar eating habits, I guess it's okay."

"Ah! Thank you very much! This is the least I could for such special people." The wife gave an uplifting smile.

Sokras glanced at her before looking out a window. He grabbed another bit of fruit, bypassing the meat.
