Scubas_girl so i think im going to start studying Egypt and the God/desses when summer break rolls around. Any good books or websites that any one recommends??? I'm gonna go out on a limb here and recommend me... xd just kidding. I have a few books, like Circle of Isis by Ellen Cannon Reed. It goes into each god and goddess, as well as deeper meanings behind the mythos of Egypt. I liked that one quite a bit! There is also The Mysteries of Isis, by DeTraci Regula, which focuses on Isis and tries to reconstruct some of the ancient rituals of Egypt. There are a few others, but I'm forgetting them as I type sweatdrop

if you looking to learn about Egypt and find someone for information. if they claim that they are the reincarnation of Cleopatra then the red flag should go up and it means they are a idiot who has no idea what there talking about. so many people claim to be the reincarnation of Cleopatra there must be several thousand of the fluffies

I was thinking today, and is it true that there are a lot of the same deity?
like, The egyptians, greeks, romans, norse, they all have a god for something and wouldn't that make that god the same?? I know that im wording that weird, but I dont know how else to put that >.<

Early cultures depended on different elements of nature to survive. The sun helped crops grow, rain watered them and gave relief from the sun, wind helped spread seeds, the river gave water where rain rarely could...Since each of those things were crucial to not only survival but flourishing, the Sun and Rivers and the Land were seen to be ruled by different Gods, if not Gods themselves. Especially in the Mediterranean area, where trade was huge, the different religions were shared and exchanged, compared and contrasted. As expansion grew, Gods were taken to new lands that were conquered, and sometimes shared with the respective native Gods.
You'll find that many of the different Pagan gods are indeed extremely similar, and that its a floating belief that all Gods really are just one God. I think its a nice idea, but I kinda like looking at all the little quirks that make each God and Goddess different.
...Its when you get to whos God is the real God where the arguing and disputes come up. xp

I dont know which ones to believe in. I am really close to Egypt and stuff, but i know I should study them. My boyfriend has studied the Greek gods, and is very connected to them. And are the roman and greek gods the same? someone told me that and what do you mean when people say they are reincarnations of Cleopatra??

The Greek and Roman Gods are very similar. I had heard of the Romans taking the Greek pantheon for themselves, and just switching their names. Father of the Gods Zeus in Greek is Jupiter in Rome, Hera in Greek is Juno in Rome, Aphrodite in Greek is Venus in Rome, Artemis in Greek is Diana in Rome, etc.
If someone says they are a reincarnation of someone, they mean they were that person in another life-time. It's a past life thing.

To sound cool, some people say they're the reincarnation of someone famous (i.e. Cleopatra, Houdini, various kings and queens). It's a load of bunk 99.9% of the time, though reincarnation is possible and probable (if you choose to believe in it).

And making a binder would be great! Anything like that which can help you learn is a good idea.

I have yet to do a full past life regression with my Teacher yet since Im not ready for it. In most cases when you go into a trance to do it the first things about your past life you will see is how you died and if that was a murder you would feel the feelings and see it as if it was you being murdered. So quite a few people who are not mentally ready for it can become mentally ill for a while.
I am aware that i am a "old soul" and have had past lifes. Through a pendulum on several different occasions (just to make sure it wasnt accidental) i have discovered that i was apparently a Magick user in my past human lives and that i was of Asian ethnicity in at least one. I wont fully know until i do the regression.
People are not always humans. Some will have been a animal in there past life and could be one in the next life.
