((okay I've had my fun I'll be fair now =3))

"Shields up!" Relgan commanded. And the front ranks held up their large shield making a wall and deflecting the arrows. "Okay so they tripped the traps. No matter. we still have the pits scattered all over the area ahead of us. Mages use the maneuver I told you about!" The elemental mages got together and began compiling stones together making one huge boulder in the sky. "Fire!" Relgan yelled and the mages launched the huge boulder at the demons.

Blow, Wind of the Harshest Desert. The boulder eroded into a cloud of sand, sent quickly flying down into the pits, filling all of them up as the wind at the back of the demon forces grew stronger. "Wyndtalon is watching over us! Now show him what you can do, maggots!" Tiberus shouted, as the army roared, goaded by the strength of their general, advanced at a higher speed. The black wave, after flooding across the Gutherin Plain, was finally within sight of the Kujin force.

Once the demons got close enough to the filled pits, the mages raise the dust again and scattered it into all directions leaving the pits the way they were supposed to be. Also the stealth forces jumped into the air and quickly threw bombs at the demons. Too quickly to be countered by a spell's chant. Once the bombs were thrown the stealth fighters retreated behind the gates again and the archers fired arrows over the front lines again.

[[i think i wrote this, but I'm not sure it was clear. the wind's constantly blowing, the spell was just targeting the boulder... kinda cheap, but hey, Wyndtalon's definitely no pushover. In fact, I think he's stronger than Dealthi now... After all, he did lead the Silverfall Massacre... ]]

((You wrote that there was wind but I didn't know it was constantly blowing. And no the boulder thing wasn't cheap I'm pretty sure Wyndaton would've done that too.))

The arrows fell to the ground again. Relgan was getting frustraited with the strong wind. "Damnit...there has to be a way to cancel out this wind." And just like that the strong gust became a regular wind. Relgan looked up in surprise as he also felt a surge at his side. He looked down at his currently sheathed swords and took them out to look a them for a moment. The red, blue, and gold hilted swords were shiny and gleaming, while the silver-hilted blade was a duller color now although just as shining a moment ago. "Could it be?..." Relgan asked himself. "No, it's just my imagination. Maybe Marrianna did it." He sheathed his swords and re-focused on the battle. The archers fired again with no strong gust to blow off their arrows.

[[could you explain your swords ooc, or are you just going to run with it? cause otherwise i don't know how to react... ]]

Blow, Wind of the Harshest Desert. The wind blew again with even greater force, picking up sand from the ground as it flew, a wall of debris, towards the Kujin forces. Arrows, sand, and rocks hurtled towards the army in a blur, as a sandstorm soon enveloped the forces. Breathe, Wind of the Highest Peak. As Tiberus could feel another wind gathering at his back, he smiled grimly. Not playing around anymore, eh Ranquebus?

((the swords will be revealed as the battle progresses.))

Relgan felt another force of wind come in. His front ranks were struggling to hold their ground against the mighty force of wind. He held the silver katana out in the wind and it went from dull to shining again. "If it really is this blade controlling the wind..." He pointed it at the demon army. "Send it in their direction!" And just like that the wind changed directions. Sending the storm back at the army from which it came. Only this time not only did the shining blade become dull, it showed signs of rust as well.

Tiberus chuckled. Some poor wind mage thinking it can struggle against General Ranquebus? The wind suddenly reversed direction, this time an indomitable wall of force, as the ground before it was ripped away by the shrieking power. Overcome by the bloodlust and this overwhelming show of strength by their general, the demon army charged forward with a roar.

User Image Waves of demons were crashing upon them and what could Marrianna do? Nothing! She tapped at rune after rune on the balista she had conjured. "The blasted thing want fire!" Perhaps this wasn't the best place to test a spell. As she observed the battle infront of them, it was clear that ranged attacks were no good. Marrianna would have to fight face to face with demons who were trained to kill at any cost. "This is going to get ugly..." She shook her head and steeled herself as she rose her arms. Armor that gleamed brighter than gold began to materialize over her body. It started at her feet, forming boots, grieves, an elegant curias, bracers and gloves, topped off with a helm covering all but her eyes. Then materialized a medium round shield on her left arm and a broad sword in her hand. Marrianna stood out from the crowd around her, but that's what she was hoping for.

/ooc= Yeah, sorry for missing the first part of the battle. The balista is still up, just not quite working at the moment./

User Image This was not what Vivian expected at all. A man with elegant, yet slightly tattered, clothes with horns on his head was offering her an apple! Strange yes, but nothing harmful as far a Vivian could tell. She slowly slipped out of her hiding place and made her way over to the man. She hesitated at first, but then took the apple. Before biting into it, she gazed at her daggers that were currently in the man's possession. But Vivian said nothing about it.

Roth rose from his bed as a deafening roar struck his ears. A quick glance out the window revealed the source of what woke him. "A battle!? And a sandstorm!?" He cried as a wall of sand struck his cottage, fracturing but not shattering his windows. "Tch, try to take a nap and look what happens!" After nearly throwing his covers across the room, Roth walks out the door and slams it behind him. Seconds later he returns, grabs his staff, and leaves in the same manner as before. Some would think he was preparing for battle when he is in possession of his scratched and scarred staff, sometimes yes. But not today. The battle was close to the mountains, he had to make sure Vivian was alright.

((Ra-ezelle and I thought of a rather interesting plot involving Vivian and Roth. It still fits with the whole Kujin vs Tyan thing, but it makes things more, interesting.))

Relgan's sliver sword shined again in the force of the incredible wind. His men were all gripping towards the ground holding on for dear life. "Again! Turn the wind!" And again the wind changed back towards Ranquebus. "I think I understand now...the sword controls wind but still has its limits of power, but its strength is regained when it is exposed to a strong wind that is not its own. He pulled out the golden-hilted blade holding each one with 2 hands. "Show me your power!" He said pointing it towards the army as multiple earth spikes erupted from the ground below the demon army and the golden sword's shine became duller although its blade remained sharp. Relgan looked around at his troops. They were all firmly in position. Determined and had a high morale. They believed that with Relgan this could end up being a winnable battle.

Kaleel sat on the sidelines. He wasn't able to do anything just yet. He was waiting for his perfect opportunity.

"s**t," Tiberus swore, as the wind charged back at them, crashing into the foremost ranks. It took all the magic he could muster to finally put the wind back down. But still, the damage had been done. The front three ranks in a mess, it was fortunate that they had kept the Goliaths in the rear. I'm sorry, my general, Tiberus thought. I thought I could use magic against them, but apparently they had a stronger mage in their midst... I hope the reinforcements arrive soon. With some royal mages on our side, this battle would be made... The eruption of earth spikes among the troops cemented his decision. Breathe, Wind of the Highest Peak. The new wind lifted all the demon troops high into the air, safe from the spikes, and sent them flying towards the Kujin forces, a gale of force at their backs.

He noticed the girl's gaze at the daggers hanging from his belt. So these are hers? He thought, troubled. Throwing his apple to Purity, who promptly ate it, he wiped his hands on his leggings. "You know, I just happened to find these two blades in the cave right now." Dealthi gestured towards them. "And they intrigue me. Do you know why?" Standing up, he pulled one of them from his belt. Holding it so the faint light from the cave mouth shined on it, Dealthi continued. "This blade shape was an extremely popular trend in the Tyan Empire a long while back. With the addition of the hilt design, plus the fact that it's unmarked by it's creator, suggests that it was forged during the rule of the Silverfall family." He suddenly picked up a rock from the ground, and threw it lightly in the air. The delicate blade flashed once, and the rock fell to the ground in pieces. "And now my question for you is, how did you come by these blades?" Dealthi gazed at the girl with a curious look in his eyes.

Relgan pointed the wind blade again changing its direction. The wind blade used every bit of the magic it had left sending most of the forces back. But Relgan was too late. About 60 of the demons were already far enough to escape the wind's force. The rest of them were blown back. "Troops get back!" The soldiers did as instructed and Relgan raised the gold sword in the air. "Raise a wall now!" And just like that a rock wall was made guarding his troops. Relgan was also hoping that the flying demons would crash into it.
