Waiting and waiting, and sleeping overnight in the humid small tunnel, Tomoro woke up early the next morning and rubbed her eyes, dirt inflaming them even more. She was exhausted, she couldn't move at all, or the cut would burn her skin. Slowly crawling out of the hole like a rabbit without a morning carrot, she staggered as she looked around; everything was just as she left it. She sighed, and totally forgot about her shoes, wandering off back to the Greenhouse; she would pick up her herbs and pouch there.
((Sphinxy, I'll be in the Greenhouse. If you want to RP with me, then go there. Otherwise... I'll be sad. ;o; ))

Rivera walked onto the classic fighting field. Her waist length raven tresses were pinned up with a silver dragon clasp, securing it from her eyes in a pony tail that fluttered slightly like a polished ebony banner. Her right dragon eye's slit pupil dilated in the golden iris while her left, sapphire blue eye remained the same. She held her sword, Kairyu in her hands. Kairen spiraled around her in a whirl of silver links. She looked onto the field... nothing special. It wasn't going to be a fancy tournament, just a practice and a quick view of Sakura's skills... He was pretty good, from what she had researched. She just hoped that they would be compatible as a combat team.
She was wearing the simple Aeterranchisen fighting garb. The white shirt she wore had a material that reduced average cuts to bruises in a fight. It was very wide collared, fitting around her arms and shoulders rather than over them. The wide sleeves and wide cuffs hung over black wrist guards, polished steel plates lined with silver designs. A armored bodice was laced over her shirt, over her chest. It was black as well, and the lacing on the sides were of tough silver chords that couldn't be cut easily at all. It fit over her midriff and secured easily, the plates made to be quite flexible in battle. She wore very little leg armor, only a right hipshield of the same black steel and the wide sword belt at her side with her daggers, two guns and ammo. She wore her leather sandals today, because their soles were thing but strong. She could feel the ground better with them instead of other shoes.
Rivera looked around for Sakura... where is he?

Sakura, finally having a place to keep his cloths that he bought at the mall, walked onto the field with normal clothing. A white t-shirt that was a bit wrinkly, black shorts they was a bit passed his knee, didn't have his glasses on, black and white shoes, and white gloves.
Sakura's wound on his right knee was finally closed but needed time for his body to put a layer of skin on it. But despite that Sakura still needed to see Rivera's abilities in battle for the upcoming test.
Sakura spotted Rivera on out on the field waiting for him. She seemed a bit mad. Hope she was patient...heh... Sakura thought nervously, sweat drops forming on the side of his head.
"Hey Rivera! Heh, sorry to keep you waiting!" Sakura waved a hand in the air as he said this, still walking up to her.

Rivera turned to him slowly and smiled slightly. Her eyes could show her emotions, but it was hard for her face to display them. "It's fine... I thought I was late and you left..." She shifted her shirt a bit, pulling the back up slightly to cover more of her back. There were things there she would rather no one can see... and with her hair up, it was harder to hide them. Her voice was just a whisper, but it was a very distinct whisper. "I've done a little bit of research about you, so I know a bit about how you fight... " She commented, "So before you ask me if I can read your mind when we fight... I'll tell you the answer to that is 'not really'."
She looked down at his knee. Her dragon eye sensed a difference on it that was not on the rest of the body... well, it it was, it wouldn't be a difference, would it. "Mmm... hold still." Placing a hand over the wound, she muttered a nearly inaudible incantation. There would be a slightly cold sensation through his bones followed by a burst of pleasant warmth. It wouldn't completely heal the wound, but it would at least keep it protected, fully functional and pain free until the body can heal it itself.

Sakura blinked as Rivera placed her hand over his wound and shivered a bit but warmed up and exhaling deeply. Gasping after words and Rivera standing straight up he asked her, "What did you do to my wound?" A bit concerned since he felt nothing like that before. He breathed heavily, trying to keep himself from being nervous.

"I'm making your body think and act like that wound's healed, and protecting it, so you can fight without hinderance." She whispered to him. "Since I chose the field... would you like to make the first move?" The classic field was definitely good. Nothing to really hide behind. She could see his moves clearly, and he could see his... so to speak. They were both pretty fast, from what she had researched and tried out. It would be hard for anybody to really see them clearly.
"I won't go too hard on you... and I doubt I'm anything better than you." She whispered clearly, "I looked forward to this practice... "

Sakura smiled nervously and nodded. "I thank you then. Alright. If I must." Sakura walked out onto the field and faced rivera who was on the outside, not to far from him, about 20 yards.
"Hmm, assuming that I might be better then you all through research is not good. Rely more on your experince."
Sakura clapped his hands together and gave a wink at Rivera. Slowly seperating his hands, a 6 foot white plain staff appeared. Sakura grabbed it and smiled softly at Rivera. Sakura dashed forward at her, staff in both hands and to the left side of him. Just to get things started, Sakura jabbed towards Rivera.

Rivera's dragon eye honed in on him while her regular left eye flashed to a silver shade. Two nested silver rings appeared over her right dragon eye and burst into light that quickly vanished. The staff would never make it to her. It was more light oriented and materialistic, meaning that a barrier of silence would knock it away with little effort. She herself was dark oriented, and worked more with the absence of objects rather than with the objects themselves. A split second later, she realized that he could manipulate shields and created an alternate power with her sword, using offense of silence as a defense.
Rivera suddenly let her silence wave loose at when she thought Sakura would have the maximum effort placed on the staff. Placing so much effort onto something that wasn't connected to the ground anymore through the shield woul probably force him to lose his balance the moment she made her move.
For one moment, she seemed to be right in front of him. The next moment, she had purposely twisted towards the ground. Her small size helped her miss him and her sword guarded from above her. Being on the downside of battle was never an advantage, unless if one knew that he or she is doing. Rivera did, and she was aiming to knock his legs completely off balance, towards the opposite direction he was falling to help him fall faster off the center of balance. She had calculated this move from the beginning. It was an inevitable move that would happen with a staff.
However, she didn't let her guard down yet. Rivera's dragon eye had a set of white nested rings over it now, which let her keep check on what went on around her without seeing it. Her sword would be ready for any physical move he made. It was the magical ones that she was very wary of.

[[ eek I barely got what ever you said in the last post. sweatdrop I'll try to make due with it....Damn all nighters! xp ]]
Sakura smirked and chuckled a bit but then created a transparent gray energy shield under his shoes that sticked him to the ground like a elephant being pushed bown by gravity. But Sakura was use to this kind of pull so he walked with ease, running was the problem. Sakura let go of his staff with his left hand and swinged it at Rivera with his right. Stopping in front of her, Sakura quickly changed directions and pointed his staff to the ground. He shot a bright light into the ground and smiled at Rivera.
