Bella smiled as she walked in the sunlight. With the pinic basket at hand, she walked next to Tifa and everyone else. Bella was unusually calm today, a rare sight

Cloud couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at this. "Well, I never thought I'd see the day when you're calm Bella. You're usually very hyper."
Blaze merely shook his head, surprised himself. "She was only like this in SOLDIER, after missions were over for the day. But even then it was still rare; she was still her hyper self even after missions."

Bella turned towards Cloud and Blaze. "I know, it weird, but I really don't know why I'm this calm. I feel really relaxed", sighed Bella. Yuffie started to laugh even harder now.
"Yeah, keeping listen to soundtrack to Love in th-". Yuffie got punched in the stomach before she can finish her sentence. Bella shook her head at Yuffie.
"That movie has great music!!!", whined Bella

Tifa laughed as a breeze picked up, making her hair sway this way and that. She turned her face up to the sky and smiled, breathing in the clean, crisp, air.

Sephiroth looked into the sky himself, his emerald eyes making note of the white clouds that drifted the vast expanse of blue above.
Cloud wrapped his arm around Tifa's shoulders, a smile upon his visage.

Tifa looked back at Cloud when she felt the warm arm on her shoulder. She smiled at him, then turned to Bella. "So, where are we going for the picnic?"

Bella smiled and jumped. "Cosmo Canyon is a great place", cheered Bella as she jumped up and down like a excited little girl. No matter how old she got, she always acted like a child

Tifa smiled. "Yeah, and I hear it has a lovely view of the sunset..." Her train of thought was interrupted as a boy and girl ran out of the bar.
"Tifa!!" Marlene called as she wrapped her arms around her waist. "Hi!"
Tifa smiled down at her "Hi Marlene, how would you like to go on a picnic?"
Marlene was about to answer when a tall figure caught her eye, she gasped and hid behind Tifa. "It's h-him!
Denzel followed Marlene's line of sight, and ran next to Cloud. "Do something Cloud!" Denzel said as he looked up at Cloud, determination in his eyes.

"Well Denzel-" Cloud began. He stopped as he noticed Sephiroth raise his left hand up.
"It's alright Cloud. I guess I'm not welcome here after all," the ex-SOLDIER remarked. His head turned to Marlene, his emerald eyes peering intently at her. "A little something for you."
In his hand a violet rose appeared, its petals fully opened. As he let it drop to the ground he looked back at the others, sorrow in his gaze. "It was a good try. I'm glad there are some who understand. But the truth is that there are far more people who don't than those who do."
With that his black angel appeared from his back, stretching out fully to his side. "Until next time."
He quickly flew into the sky, looking up into the clouds instead of back at the ground where the others stood.

"Sephiroth! Wait!" Tifa called to no avail.
Marlene looked up at her in surprise. "You WANT him to come back!?"
"Yeah! He hurt Cloud! And everyone else!" Denzel stated.
Tifa knelt so that she was at level with them. "Well, yes, he did hor-horrible things in the past. But he wants to repent for his sins. And be good again..."
"And you TRUST him!?" Denzel asked, shocked.
"Well, not completely, but he is making a genuine attempt." Tifa said as she looked back into the sky... She sighed.

Cloud looked at the two children, a stern gleam in his eyes. "Just because someone's past is filled with wrong-doing doesn't mean it's who they'll always be. Nor does it mean that it was the person's fault.
"You see, Sephiroth was created by his father, Professor Hojo, as part of ShinRa Corporation's goal to make an army of super powerful fighters. These fighters were known as SOLDIER, and Sephiroth was the first. But... things went horribly wrong at Nibelheim.
"When Sephiroth learned of his origins because of Genesis' interference, he went insane. He came to believe that he was indeed a monster as Genesis claimed. In a fit of denial he came to believe that he was actually a Cetra, due to Professor Gast's notes. It's compounded by the fact that Hojo never really came to look at Sephiroth as a son. Just another tool basically, for Hojo to become the Head of the Science Department at Shinra."
As Cloud looked up into the sky to see Sephiroth's form grow smaller as he flew further away, he sighed. "I'm not saying I completely trust Sephiroth. But I do understand what he's been going through. To find out he's so different from everyone. If others knew what he truly was, an experiment, they'd turn on him. The people he swore to protect and look after. A fallen hero."

Tifa reached down and held Cloud's hand and lightly squeezed it. "It's okay, he'll come back. He has too." She tilted her head toward Bella. "No hero, fallen or not, leaves without their heroine."

Bella watched as Sephiroth flew away. Bella shook her head and watery wings sprouted from her back. She looked at everyone and dropped the pinic basket and flapped her wings, water spraying everywhere. Bella chased Sephiroth, trying to get to him, but he was fast.
"Sephiroth!", screamed Bella as she tried to keep up.

"Stay away Bella... it's for your own good. For everyone's own good," the one-winged angel remarked. He continued to speed off, heading north towards the site of the Northern Crater.
