[[ and Odemunk! ^_^]]
Odemunk appeared, seemingly out of nowhere like his accomplice, between Kiki and Shef. "Well, this certainly is vast."
He commented quietly, solemnly. As he spoke he looked up momentarily from some fascinating scroll he read.
"No, Kiki-" Odemunk sighed as he was splashed with water.
Kiki saw the water, and jumped down to ground level, her legs dangling in the water, chilled. From where they had previously seen her Kiki donned a knapsack of her own now.

Shatter the thoughts that reign supreme.
With a reigning light, a powerful gleam.
Shatter the freedom that comes with the sky... Alhiria had departed with Falian and Reign, leaving Floreta behind in case trouble brewed again. Floreta smiled as she lingered next to Queenie and the white house cat - who everyone knew now was Marina. "It's such a pretty place," she commented as the wind blew. "I never get tired of looking at it." "It is very pretty," Queenie replied. Then her chest puffed out with pride. "But NOT as pretty as me!" The white house cat rolled her eyes, but said nothing. Floreta looked over at Queenie. "Well, you are very pretty," she commented, making Queenie grin. Marina rolled her eyes again. "Careful Queenie your ego is showing," she stated simply, her tail curling from where she sat on her haunches next to her Guardian. The massive fox shot him a look. "Oh, thanks," she replied sarcastically. "I'll be sure to cover it up." Marina looked around. "Now," she prompted, gazing at the river. "Where do we go from here?" You know death has come when time is an eye.

((<< Controlling Regond....))
"Across the river is the Riemli," commented the owl. He was beginning to look better. It might not be long until he could (would) transform again.
"The Bridge of Ancients... yes, that rickety stone structure over there... is the only way across. I assure you, flying across is very tiring. So is walking and swimming, but with flying, well...."
Flying could be dangerous.

Shatter the freedom that comes with the sky... Queenie looked around. "Well, as you can see none of us but the butterfly girl can fly," she commented, making Floreta blush a powerful red. "And I am NOT about to get my fur wet." She began to make her way towards the bridge, Marina padding along behind her. Floreta, still a little red, followed. Harlin turned his head towards Regond, but his eyes didn't follow the movement. Something about the old owl sounded familiar, but he couldn't quite place it.((If he knew Shef's father, he'd know Regond, right? Just not necessarily his earth form...?))

((The Nanne, although large in proportion, is one of the few places in Ether where there are no live dangers. If Harlin knows Shef's father, then fine. I wouldn't have anything to say for or against the idea, or knowing Regond.
As Kaye isn't here to say anything about that, let's just say that Regond never really got to know either Harlin or his Guardian, if at all. Otherwise he'd say something.))
Shef walked onto the bridge as well. Although it was peaceful here, out in the center of the river, the stone bridge swayed with the pull and push of the current. Yes, even stone. The bridge had been standing across the river since the beginning of memorable time, and never weathered. Or, if it did, it never accumulated so much damage as to be destroyed.
The large fish in the Nanne were, like the Bakka, normally benign, harmless in nature. Normally.
Regond flew across the river, sort of catty-cornered to the bridge, so his flight would intersect with it a few hundred feet out.

Shatter the thoughts that reign supreme.
With a reigning light, a powerful gleam.
Shatter the freedom that comes with the sky... ((Oh, you... xd )) Queenie and Marina began to make their way across the bridge, Marina padding along lightly on the edge and Queenie also staying near the edge, but on the opposite side. Floreta, however, was not following. Queenie noticed this. "Hey!" She called as she walked. "Butterfly girl! What're you doing?" Floreta looked over at him and them smiled. "I don't want to add anymore weight to that bridge," she replied. "I'm going to assist Regond in flying across, in case he needs help." The wind picked up around her feet, and the bright butterfly wings burst from her back once more in an explosion of sparkling dust. Smiling lightly, her powers picked her a few inches off the ground, and her wings began to flap in response. The wind at her back, Floreta flew over to Regond, her powers over wind filling his wings up with air. "I believe the sooner we cross, the better, right?" She asked him. "We should hurry then." You know death has come when time is an eye.

Kiki smiled.
Evilly.
Slowly she walked over to the edge of the bridge, and offered for her guardian to go first. He sighed, and carefully padded out his way. Kiki cracked her neck, and made sure her calves weren't too tired.
She coughed, backed up, and sprinted for the bridge. Just before Kiki reached the rickety old links she jumped, and landed, balancing on her toes on the sides. She stuck her hands out either way, and began to skip across it, making sure to stay balanced, and on the rope itself. Kiki chuckled to herself, always looking for some way to push the limit. Hopefully everyone would stay to the right side. Ah well. She stuck her tongue out as she passed Shef, Marina, and Queenie.

Shatter the thoughts that reign supreme.

Shatter the freedom that comes with the sky... Queenie and Marina both scowled. They hated to be showed up. Marina, who was already on the other side walking on the rope, only glared at Kiki for a moment before resuming padding along as quickly as possible. The water looked a little too inviting for her beautiful white fur. Queenie was also a little ruffled, but once she saw what Kiki's guardian was, she shrugged and let it slip off, understanding why Kiki was able to do what she was doing. The great fox-cat didn't dare attempt to show off. Not if she wanted to stay on a complete bridge. You know death has come when time is an eye.

((Alrighty then biggrin )) Narissa set off, gliding in the water, her head rising maybe seven feet above the bridge.
Harlin walked along the bridge, Damascus by his side.
"When we-" Damascus began.
"No."
"Where-"
"We'll find a way."
Although their worries were legitimate, their conversation (however complicated to understand and short it had been) hinted at how close Guardian and Guarded could become. Without speaking any more words, Harlin and Damascus functioned as one body, but seperate limbs. Their minds were in tune to each others, thinking along the same lines if not reading each other's thoughts entirely.

((Regond wasn't attempting to cross the Nanne after all that I said about flying being dangerous. He was just flying straight to the bridge, diagonally, instead of walking all the way to the end of the bridge. It's shorter.))
