"That it does." Of course her extended stay at his place hadn't been discussed any further than it was originally set. Not that he minded if she wanted to stick around longer, or that he wasn't going to kick her out. "Fair enough though, most people think that at those times. People are just telling you what you want to hear. I'm sure that if I hadn't been a monkey on your back about it, you would have continued believing that."

"There's a reason I chose not to say those things to you during Kyytael's illness." Saying his name after so many years felt strange on her tongue but she knew it helped with the healing process. She lay there in silence, letting the two of them marinate in their own thoughts until finally rolling over and meeting his gaze. "No. My father couldn't speak so I learned to understand actions. Words meant nothing at all. The healer promised me he was going to be fine. My friends told me the pain would dull. My father told me my mother was coming back. All of them lied to me and I learned not to trust words. Anyone can say anything. Only a true friend, lover, mother would show the actions to back up what is otherwise meaningless. So it goes with you. If you hadn't sat with me all those nights, pushed me to complete my training, even forced me to laugh, talk, and cry...I wouldn't be where I am now."
Pushing up onto her elbow, she studied him closely. "I'm warning you now so that you know and won't make the same mistake others have. Words mean nothing to me. It's your actions that speak and that's the only words I'll ever listen to or take to heart. Be careful what you do."

He blinked at the sudden seriousness that entered her eyes as she propped up to more or less warn him. Leaning forward some he pressed a kiss to her forehead. “Well then…it is a fine thing that I am a man of action. I may have pretty words as well, but I know nothing ever happens without action. I’ll do my best not to disappoint.” Lhia was part of the older generation of elves, hardened by time and experience and able to know the sudden seriousness of anything when it demanded. Something only age and experience brought on, and she was one who wore it well. “We’re not strangers. You know you can trust me. When haven’t you been able to do so?”

She knew he wasn't playing with her, knew in her heart and soul that she hadn't even needed to give him the warning. It felt better voicing it out loud, though. She didn't want to find out later that he hadn't actually known and lose him because she hadn't been willing to speak up. "Never." Accompanied by a smile, she brushed her fingers over the firm lines his lips had become. "I love that about you." Settling back down, she closed her eyes and sighed softly. Yes, all was well with the world.

"Where I come from, we keep we do what we mean and mean what we do. There is no inbetween on that matter." Settling down with her as well, arm still resting around her as they lounged and laid out things. "Then reverie assured that you're not being foolish in pursing things. Are you staying here tonight? Or do I need to escort you back to your room, sad as that would be."

She didn't fully respond seeing as she'd already moved halfway into reverie. A quick muttered sound and she simply snuggled down closer against him and let out a sigh. Her mind was exhausted and it was time to reverie. One hand gently pressed against the one draped over her side, fingers entwining to keep his from going anywhere.

Time saw both Lhia and Vale back on shifts, but not out of his personal estate just yet. But dressed in uniform only slightly different from others as per his ranking, he had gathered up Vale and was leading a slightly nervous elf to Requias. "I promise you'll be perfectly fine. Giley will take fien care of you and you'll have no worries. If you need anything you know how to get in contact with your mother." Anything meaning of course comfort.
Leaving the boy, it was a short trip over to the Vrist Outpost, where he was begrudingly let in. "I'm here to see Queen Mahlari and Princess Krymsyn...if you would be so kid as to lead me onward."

He was led to a small anteroom where he was informed both the Queen and the Princess would be with him shortly.
Ten minutes later, dragging a boy about her age along behind her, Krymsyn showed up. She blinked at him before her face wreathed in a grin and she turned to the boy. "Go away." He shuffled off and she plopped in one of the chairs, smiling expectantly. "Master Tyyrael. They didn't tell me it was you we were meeting with."

He didn't even raise an eyebrow at her boy dragging, and the boy himself didn't seem too put off, not to mention that she merely told him to go away more than anything else. To Tyyrael that was progress and her gave her a bright affectionate grin to her as she plopped down. "They didn't? Well, I'm sorry you didn't have more time to pretty up for me, but you look beautiful even without the time." He always appealed her to vanity, it helped soften any mood, but she deserved it to as well. Giving a little bow to her as was respectful he gave her another grin. "I'm not keeping you from anything fun am I? I know how boring I can be." Emphasis with a little twist in his voice on 'boring', after all she was a child.

Her pretty face pulled into a frown, "I haven't gotten a chance to wear my new dress. This would have been perfect. Oh well." He got another happy grin before she sobered slightly and nodded solemnly accepting the compliment with all the grace of a true Queen. "Thank you, Master Tyyrael. You're looking quite dashing yourself." And just like that the little girl was back. "No. Trysthyre and I were going to play a game but he can wait. How come you came to see us?"

"Well I'm sure there's an occassion you can wear it for. Or you can change, I can always wait." Keeping up the warm and friendly with her that she responded to so well. "Thank you dear little Lady, I do try to look my best despite my age." Crouching some down to her eye level so he didn't have to look down and she didn't have to look up. "I haven't been by in a while and you and I just have so much fun together when we have outings. Would you like to come on one with me? If you mother says that's okay of course." Knowing that even if Mahlari said no, the child would whine her way to a yes. "And I need to talk to your mother about the little fight she had with Lord Silvercrest."

She considered leaving and coming back but decided she didn't want to go through the hassle of having her hair done and finding the boots that went along with the dress. She'd just save it for the next time he came to visit. "Of course I would. Where are we going this time? Can we go back to the surface like last time?" Folding her hands and giving him the look that always got her everything she wanted when she asked down here. Then the child gave a happy laugh and clapped her hands. "Lord Silvercrest was on the floor in minutes and Mother was standing over him just as happy as I've ever seen her. You should have seen it, Master Tyyrael." Lowering her voice to a whisper. "It was kinda funny to see him flail like that."
"Whatever it is that you want, Tyyrael, the answer is no." Mahlari swept into the room, sans smile, and settled into a chair with a lift of an eyebrow. She was still the same, age hadn't softened her in the slightest. In fact, if one looked closely, it was almost as if she were more cruel.

"Sure, we can go anywhere you want. The flowers are in full bloom and and they're so pretty. You'd look beautiful around them and I'm sure they'd smile to have you around." He held in a sigh at her excitment over the constant, this time escalated, bickering between the two. "I know, I miss all the good things." Rising and turning his attention to Mahlari, giving her a little bow as well though apparently she had already made up her mind. "Oh dear...and I was going to deliver the news that your ban was going to be lifted. But I see you'd rather not have that." He was not scared to mess with Mahlari either. "That and I wanted to borrow your daughter for a few hours."

"Mother will say yes." She was confident of it.
"Normally that would be amusing, Tyyrael, however, right now I fail to find it so." Crossing her arms and glancing at her daughter for a moment with a firm shake of her head. "Absolutely not. She has lessons and other duties to attend to."
"Mother!" Slamming her hand down on the table. "I want to go and that means I should be able to. Lessons and all those other boring things can wait. Trys will come with me."
Mahlari's eyes hardened. "If I didn't know any better, I'd almost say that you and that boy were friends." She spit the word out with acid behind it.
Krymsyn's head lowered and she was quiet for a moment. Lifting it once more, her eyes were full of fire. "Friends? Don't be stupid, Mother. He's a useless piece of trash good only for seeing to my needs and keeping others from getting any ideas."

Few childrened argued with their parents like she did, not that he felt sorry for Mahlari and thought the woman enjoyed it because it bolstered things for later use. "We all have duties and lessons to attend to. Doesn't mean we shouldn't look outside our own boxes." Letting them argue though a little, not stepping in on the matter. Though he did take note of the friend thing and how the girl reacted. She didn't spit the answer out, she had thought about it.
"Oh let the precious little thing go." Telisha sauntered into the room, arms crossed and came to stand next to Tyyrael, brushing against him in all too friendly fashion just because she could. "Tyyrael apparently has nothing better to do than check on the youth as always. Besides." Grinning at her sister, whom she knew was having a little...issue. "Kid out of your hair and you can deal with Khaiver." And personally she hoped the brat drowned somewhere for taking her throne place.
