Cassie ignored the doctor completely when she passed him. her stride got somewhat longer. she was itching to fly. even though she couldn't hide, she wanted to run, fly, anything but stay in the same place, stay in the town. "You act almost bipolar sometimes." she said. "You were crying on my one second and then the next you were eating your pie." she explained. "I don't understand." she muttered under her breath. *Why is this happening to me? haven't I had enough crap dumped on me already? does it all fall to a certain few who have to fight against everything in the world to find a moment of rest while everyone has normal lives?* she stomped out of the hospital angrily.

Cassie stopped abruptly so that she wouldn't bowl into Julius. she cast her eyes on the ground. she couldn't look at him, not right now. she was mad and she was looking at the world differently at the moment, but she didn't want to look at him that way. she sighed. "I'm just, a little upset." she said quietly.

"I'm not sure." she shook her head. she really was confused. she shouldn't be this angry and she knew it. she didn't feel normal.

Cassie focused on his kiss. Her stone was smashed and her ice had melted. the anger flowed away, and she looked at him. "I was just getting depressed about this whole thing and wondering why all this was happening." she said slowly. she kissed him. "I'm feeling better now though. Thank you." she said.

Cassie shook her head slowly. "I don't know, maybe i'm the one who's bipolar." she smiled.

Mike pressed his fingers against the glass on the last of 6 sleeping chambers. A tear slowly started to form in his eye as he looked upon the girl in it, she was a mute, and only trusted him, she had the same mark he had, only under the other eye, having been subject to the same drugs and experiments he put himself through, she was the six of the choosen, and her only power, as the others called it, was to make mike feel anything that even resembled compassion. She was the reason he'd let the other five out. He typed in the code that unlocked the chamber and caught her body as she woke and tumbled out. She was cold but he cold still feel life in her. He looked around the lab and sighed, then walked out, holding her against him. As he got back to the helicopter he pressed the button on the transmitter he'd been holding and everything that had been done there was erased, except for him, her, and the other five. She'd told him to do it, he didn't know how, but he knew that he wanted to follow her without question.
Hours later they landed at a large house, Cassie had lived here, he didn't know why he came, he just did. He went up to the door and knocked, a woman answered, he recognized her from the files. He walked in and grabbed a chair from a room nearby, he lit a smoke and told her to sit. It wasn't like she had any choice, so she did. He put his smoke out on her cheek and stared directly into her eyes "Your husbands daughter....don't ever bother her again, as for your husband, leave him, don't take any money, just go." He left at that, still not even realizing he had moved from the helicopter.
