Faust was about to begin mumbling under his breath when he heard Cyrillia say words he doubted so very much that at first he thought he had conjured them up himself. He did that sort of thing. "What..Did you say you've seen it?" Faust jaw was even visibly seen, tightening and relaxing, pearly whites within the cave of black that was his hood. Faust almost doubled back as he rubbed at his eyes, then his temples. He then stepped forward, "Show me where. I need that ring. It..It means alot."

Heron stops in his tracks when he feels the air around them change. He hadn't been with his teachers long, but he knew there was an outside source of interference. When Cyrillia leaves his grip, he turns and looks back around them. Faust makes mention of an arrow, which only serves to confirm Heron's theory. He sees that the man is calm (or rather as calm as he had seen him), then lays his eyes on his senior. He feels the color leave his face as she approaches his little anarchy group. "Aerith! I...um...am surprised to see you here. I'd thought I still had plenty of time until supper."

She thought a moment, as she tried remembering where she had seen the old runic ring. She lightly laid her index finger on her lips and tapped it gently, "I do believe, though of course I might be wrong, that one of the merchants I asked was selling that ring." she looked in the direction where the merchant had been. "He was trying to get me to buy it."
Cyrillia looked up to Faust than over to Heron when she heard him say something, "Pardon me?" at first she thought he was speaking to her but than saw a robed woman coming over.

Coming up to the small, and slightly dysfunctional, group, Aerith lowers her hood before answering Heron's query. "There is plenty of time before supper," she replies, "but that does not mean one should take the opportunity to dawdle. You will find the Kae'drynn responds well to tasks being completed in an efficient and timely fashion."Her eyes flicker between the young blond and her fellow apprentice. "Are we window shopping?" she inquires coolly, "I am fairly certain you have already gathered everything that was actually on the list."

Heron's eyes also flicker to Cyrillia, then back to Aerith. He smiles and laughes nervously, "Oh...OH, I see what you mean. Um, ahem, yes....yes I did." He raises the bundles in his left arm. "I've got it all right here, safe and sound."His face then becomes serious and remorseful, "You are right of course. I allowed my personal interests to interfere with my task, and then almost got a portion of this market blown off the map in the process." He lowers his head, feeling ashamed. Then he remembers something. "Ah, these people were wanting to go to the tower. Was the Kae'drynn expecting anyone?"

Faust stared at them a moment, the appearance of the woman deterring him in no way. He simply walked away from them, walking up and down the market street. Sliding almost with venomous intent back and forth between shops, Faust queried every shop keep harshly, berating them to the point of maddening annoyance. Faust sighed heavily after nearly six failed attempts.. But then.. --- There it was. Sitting on a platform with many other fine jewelry, Faust ring, which was his father's before him, glimmered in the high sun light, polished from it's usual black steel dullness. Faust snuffed loudly, wandering up to the vendor's booth. Faust pushed through the crowd roughly, standing almost sentinel-like in the front of the fellow's shop. "Aye, big guy, beat it or buy somt'in, this is a shop, not-" The man stopped when Faust picked up the ring, rolled it around his palm, then slid it onto his left hand. "Oi! Wha's the big deal-" Faust was liquid, his hand a serpent, snapping then pulling the man forward over his table. "You. You will not speak whilst i place my father's ring upon my hand. Whatever price you had on this ring will be seen as insufficient. You will drop the subject, and i will walk away. We do not know each other from hence forward." Faust slung the man back into his chair with a push, then seemed to dissipate into the crowd, leaving the stunned merchant to sit and ponder. --- Faust saw his own crowd, wandering up with an almost giddy jig in his step. Faust looked to the elven woman, arrows upon her back, bow once notched and ready. "You shot the arrow i heard didn't you?"

"She is always expecting one," Aerith answers Heron quietly, "but to my knowledge, she was not anticipating company today."Her eyes subtly follow the unstable one's path, losing him once or twice in the crowd, only to catch sight of him again as he pauses to address a vendor. Although she can not hear what they are saying, their distant expressions seem to indicate the conversation isn't entirely friendly, which is then confirmed when the dark man appears to threaten the merchant before making his departure. Her gaze slides away from their target as he makes his way back to the group, steadying instead upon the youngling and blond. "I doubt the market would have been blown off the map, but perhaps you might show some restraint next time you are feeling chivalrous, hmm?"The unstable-looking man rejoins the group, and in a much better mood following his encounter with the vendor. Aerith glances at him offhandledly as she replies to his query. "Probably." She trades looks between he and the blond elf. "What business brings the two of you to the Kae'drynn's tower?"
(( Gentleman: her post actually stated that her bow was concealed beneath her rather bulky cloak. The arrows are also hidden, as they are attached to a small harness on her hip. I'll go with it this time, but try to check previous posts for descriptions before reacting to something on/about a character's person ^.^ ))

Cyrillia bowed her head, a few strands of her golden hair slithered over her shoulder, swaying from side to side, "I'm sorry to be a bother." she began softly, straightening up nervously. "But I just got into town not long ago. A passing guard told me, if I were new here, to go directly to the Tower." she explained, gesturing cautiously down the row of merchants, to indicate where she had come from.
A light frown could be seen pass over her lips. She allowed her green eyes to scan over the merchants, soaking in the scene of people chattering and laughing and conversing with one another. Before bringing her gaze back to the small group and smiling, "But I could have heard wrong." she blurted a lot more cheerful. The elf blushed and looked down fiddling with a small silver ring on her thin paled fingers, "I do that sometimes."

(Ah, but if you read correctly fair lady, Faust heard the arrow. He makes no mention of ever seeing them. Ditto for your critiquing. wink ) Faust gave a foul look filled with sarcasm, sappy and fat, at the blue-haired elf, waiting to spill over and out of his lips. "Are you her keeper? You act as if she has schedule.." Faust scoffed, rolling his ring around his metallic finger. It shuddered, making a strange vibration against the steel. The whine continued a strange moment, then Faust re-crossed his arms. "I have no reason to tell you my business, and to my predicted knowledge, your one to interrupt events within my path.." Faust was working himself up again, but before he could sustain real anger he doubled over, coughing and hacking violently. His back hitched two times as he gagged into his fist, then he straightened back up, looking dazed and paler then usual. "I must meet her. Invitation or not." Faust turned his back to them, then began heading toward the market exit, the path ahead darker now.

Aerith growls internally at the ill fated advice the girl had been given by the guard. She had little doubt that he was either mean spirited and simply wished to mess with the obviously lost young lady, or he gathered some personal amusement in sending random younglings to the Kae'drynn, knowing that it would annoy her. Still, as unpleasant as the situation was, it was not the girl's fault. "You were misinformed..." she begins, only to be cut short by the darker man's defiant grumbling. Raising an eyebrow, she waits for him to finish his small tirade then watches him saunter off back towards the path. "... but I suppose it doesn't matter now." Sighing faintly, a slender hand comes up to rub her temples before she turns to address the two younglings. "Come along then. I know a faster way to the tower than he, and it would be best if we arrived before the unstable gentleman. At least then we can give the Kae'drynn some warning." Glancing at the girl, she offers an empathetic smile. "You may join us if you wish."

Heron shakes his head and reassures the young lady, "Do not be so quick to doubt yourself. I'm sure it was the guard that was mistaken." Although he did not believe this to be so. Back when it was him and Naelonni traveling to the Kae'drynn's tower, they had also been given faulty directions. Which had frustrated Heron to no end. He was more tired than usual, and his sister couldn't keep her mind on course for more than five minutes. When Faust makes his little tantrum and storms off, Heron nods in agreement with Aerith in regards to the importance of beating him to the tower. His face brightens up when Aerith extends an invitation to the Cyrillia. Internally he was whooping and hollering like a mad-man, thankful for the opportunity to woo the young lady.

Cyrillia looked up to Aerith, tilting her head as the woman told her she was misinformed. "Oh.. I see." she frowned, thinking she might be once again lost with no clue where to go. She brought her gaze to the floor, having suddenly felt a pang of awkwardness start to form throughout the atmosphere around them.
However it seemed to fade when she heard Aerith invite her along with them, her eyes shot up to her grateful and she smiled sweetly, "Oh you mean it? Thank you so much, ma'am." she bowed her head, allowing, once more, a few of her golden strands to sway against her pale skin.
She straightened after a moment, and turned her attention to Heron whom had began to speak, "I do hate to blame it on a soldier though." she placed an index finger on her lip thoughtfully. "Do they often speak falsely?" she asked.
