Darshendros the Eternal
Lilith ran off in whichever direction the ninja wasn't blocking, feeling weary as her spell wore off and her size returned to normal. She wouldn't bother waiting to see if her last spell finished him off; enough time has already been wasted. She paused to cast a healing spell on herself to stop the bleeding in her shoulder...
A massive shriek would go off as a magical detector went off, cuasing all the guards in her area to become fully alert.

YOU!! HALT RIGHT THERE!!!

A large group of guards had been dispatched to the area due to recent conflicts in the sector. As soon as she bolted into view, the guards opened fire, their light, and OTHER rounds speeding towards her form from their automatic weapons, as another pair of guards pulsed with energy, a massive rocky wall jutting up in front of the opening of the mausoleum as she was still a couple hundred yards away from the entrance, and a mighty exploding spell erupting right on top of the running Lilith. The whole area had been bugged with detectors and other defenses since the conflict earlier with the other warrior. And this was just the outside, who knew what might lay inside the building...

Meanwhile, Decruda, the man which had caused such alarm before, having singlehandedly dispatched most of an entire unit, sat around in some alley. Guess what time it was?

LUNCH TIME!

And what did he have?

The drums rolled as he fished around in his various pouches and pockets, until he pulled out... a dead squirrel. Well, it should have been that super squirrel from before, but since it had succumbed to the neurotoxin, which of course, was designed and normally used for meta's, it was like an overdose, and apparently, the squirrel had already suffocated to death when the poison shut down its muscles and nervous system.

Oh well. He snatched a garbage can lid from the side and lay it across his lap as he stuck the scimitar into the dirt and began cutting away, humming merrily to himself.

"Waiting...was never my favorite thing to do..." He searched for something else to say, but his thought just ended up as a long pause, and he lamely continued, "...But whatever. You sure there's no action up here?"

He noted his nearly finished tea and he finally just decided to drain the cup then and there.

"To the Hells with this place."

Enough was enough. If it was this much trouble just to reach the damned mausoleum, it wasn't worth it. Nor was the cost of her life. Sure, her god may be pissed at her that she failed again to get inside of Lament, but she wasn't going to get herself killed from the endless number of seemingly instantaneously moving guard patrols. For a place that was isolated and had only one entrance - the elevators which were still turned off - a lot of guards seemed to find their way down here pretty quickly. Either that, or they just generally hung around in the Underground.

Lilith spoke a word and vanished.

Lilith must be really unlucky, since Decruda had not run into many guards while he was taking a nice stroll through the underground. Werent they suppose to be looking for him or something?

ANyways, he'd finish his... meal, replace his weapons into their usual locations, squat down, and start to draw a few figures lightly in the dirt, barely skimming the dirt. Maybe he could kill some time until the little bomb wore off.

Little did Decruda know that he WAS being watched, and had been for quite some time by a sniper, armed with a thermal scope, atop a building a couple thousand meters away from his current position. After he'd checked in with the large number of patrols in the area, and told them the location of the threat, they'd slowly moved into a massive ring around his location.

More than one hundred and fifty separate, heavily armed guards were already in position around Decruda's location, hidden behind several buildings out of his viewing and hearing range. They had every type of Runic Round in Lament's arsenal among them, as well as at least one of every type of weapon Lament's Guard had to offer. Some were in the streets, others were on the rooftops, crouched and waiting for the signal to open fire on the target.

Then, as Decruda knelt down to draw in the dirt, the sniper would pull the trigger on his rifle, and a single sniper round would speed towards Decruda's form at well over the speed of sound. It would reach his body before the sound of the bullet firing would even be heard, aiming to puncture him in his back, and through the rough location of his heart. The sniper had hand picked his rounds for this location, and had just about given up hope that anything would show itself. Guess it was his lucky day...

How nice, it took an entire army to try and take down one man.

SHABAM! And the bullet would rip into his back and out through his chest, leaving a rather large exit wound in the front of his chest. He'd slump over and fall face first into the dirt, overtop of the picture he was drawing, whatever it was.

When the Lamentian guard would reach his body for inspection, his weapons and equipment would seem to be mystriously missing.

Waiting wasn't her favorite thing to do either, it sucked, but a lockdown was a lockdown, there was no getting around it.

"Trust me," she sighed,"It's as dull as sawdust."

She put her righ elbow on the table and slumped to the right, supporting her right cheek with her palm and giving Zetsumeii, then the window, a bored stare. She reached into her coat and pulled out a small book, the one she had taken from Eri, throwing it to him.

"Read a book," she said,"It's a magic book or something, I was never too good with spells."

The small book landed near the edge of the table, slid for a second, and desposited itself onto his legs. As he brought the book to the surface again, he looked towards her and caught the look of boredom in her eyes. He looked back down at the cover and flipped forward several pages, skimming the text as he went. Many of the phrases and diagrams seemed to be complete nonsense, yet often he found what appeared to be simple summoning circles, something he had learned from a friend long dead.

"Ya know, I was really never into this kind of stuff either." He skimmed several more pages and looked back at Her, "But someone once showed me how to make fire..beleive me that comes in handy. All I ever managed were simple sparks.." He reached for a napkin and laid it in front of him, making sure nothing else was nearby, he than held his left hand over the thin paper and uttered a longish word, causing a small spark to barely burn the napkin.

"Guess I'm nothing more than a lighter now huh?"

Darshendros the Eternal
Lilith stumbled back a step or two, glaring with hatred and anger. Her eyes grew opaque white and her left hand, blood dripping from the wounds on her wrist, glowed red, like her amulet was.

"DIE!" she cried in a voice not of her own, thrusting out her hand and unleashing a spontaneously cast spell with maximized effect. It wouldn't kill him, persay, but it'd surely weaken him to a certain degree.

Quote:
Blast Infidel (Su): A hierophant can use negative energy spells to their maximum effect on creatures with an alignment opposed to the hierophant.

Divine Reach (Su): A hierophant with this ability can use touch spells on targets up to 30 feet away. If the spell requires a melee touch attack, the hierophant must make a ranged touch attack instead.

Inflict Critical Wounds
Necromancy
Level: Clr 4, Destruction 4
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Target: Creature touched
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Will half
Spell Resistance: Yes

When laying your hand upon a creature, you channel negative energy that deals 4d8 points of critical damage +1 point per caster level (maximum +20).
((Going out for a bit. I'll reply to your post when I get back.))

((Soooo~ This pretty much interrupts all previous actions. You're supposed to wait for people to post, not just ignore them and carry on.))

This would've been all good and well, had he not had some spells of his own planned. Specifically, there were three spells.

The first, Counterspell, effectively negating her little death spell. This spell was exceptionally effective because ironically it was un-counterable. The second, Chain Magic was also very useful in this situation because it basically attached another spell to a previously cast one, in this case Counterspell. This made his next spell also uncounterable and on a sidenote, unavoidable.

So, what was this final spell?

Nullify Magic. It's name was fairly descriptive, it cut off her ability to cast magic. Unfortunately for him, the effect of Chain Magic meant his magical ability was now sealed temporarily also. They really had no choice but to duke it out the old fashion way.

He decided to start this off by running at her and swinging the sword diagonally (from his top right to his bottom left) across her chest.

((1 or 2 days is fine, but a week? Come on...))

Nulled magic made her pretty much powerless. She was a priestess, not a fighter. She cried out, falling back and bleeding to death from all her wounds.

The stranger in the armor's patience is growing thinner by the minute. How long? How long before he can enter?

???: "Is there any way I can pass these gates while alive and unfettered?"

There is more frustration than fear in his voice now, and his eyes seem to pierce into the guard he pins with his wrathful gaze.

No.

It was a simple answer to a simple question.

???: "Is there any way I can prove my intentions?"

The stranger's eyes seem to have become less piercing, and he also seems to have reined in his temper. Now they seem to be staring past the guard at the gate, as though he is judging the strength of the city.

???: "Your city is strong...but how long can it last against a festering wound of evil within?"
