Mei laughed with Talen at Leah's comments. She grabbed onto Abel's shoulder, bent over from hearty laughter. Abel blinked and watched the two curiously, having not heard what had just happened.
"What's going on?" He asked, looked over to Leah briefly. Mei straightened up, rubbing tears from her eyes. "What happened?"
"Oh nothing, Ken." Mei said sweetly. Abel stared at her, utterly confused. "Let's get you some clothes. We're going shopping."
Abel nodded slightly. "Sure..." He looked at Talen, asking for clarification towards this confusion. Before he had a chance to get it, Mei was ushering everyone out of the house again, closing the door behind them. "Mei?" She locked the door and turned her attention to the angel.
"Vaht is ahp?" She asked, giving him a fake German accent. It cracked a smile from him and he snorted slightly, putting a hand to his nose. "Hehehehe. Look vaht I got out of you! You like my German accent? Yeah?" She pressed against him, nudging him with her shoulders. He snorted again and started to try to get away but she persisted. "Vaht is wrong, brother? You vant more? More, yeah?" She started to chase after him as he started to get away, snorting from trying to hold back his laughter. "You! You! Stop running away! Vhy you run away vrom me?"
"We don't sound like that!" He yelped at her playfully and stopped. She ran into him and he caught her before she stumbled backwards. "You make us sound ridiculous."
She smirked at him and shrugged, twirling around him and prancing down the street. "All Germans are ridiculous! Like yooooou!" She sung out.
He watched after her with a smile and looked over to Leah and Talen, shaking his head. "We aren't. But let's catch up to her before she gets too far." He smiled, waiting for the two of them.
((Hahaha. Mei is a freak.))

((hahaha, she is. And that's okay. FFFFF. I had so much homework tonight. What the hell. I WANT MY BREAK. I WANT IT. THANKSGIVING BREEEEAAAAK.))
Leah blinked at Mei as she burst into laughter as well. She giggled anxiously and catching Abel's gaze she merely looked away herself and batted at Talen with a hand. "Shhh!" She said at him.
Talen quieted himself, but at Mei's remark he lost it again, and even more so by Abel's expression. Leah looked surprised and steadied him with a hand.
"You'll KILL HIM!" She exclaimed with an all serious face as they were all moved back out of the house they had all taken so long to get into.
Talen stumbled a little, trying to catch his breath and tried to explain what all the laughter was about, but he never did get the chance, and he thought perhaps it was better this way anyway. Instead he waved a hand and said: "When you're older."
Leah blinked and Talen just shook his head at her. However, nothing confused and amused Leah more than what Mei did next. She giggled along with Abel, looking very pleased. Talen was watching her with a half smile.
"I never heard a German accent sound so sexy." Was all he had to say about it. He glanced at Abel and waggled his eyebrows before running to catch up with Mei, picking her up a little as he did so.
Leah grinned. "I really do like Mei." She said. "And I happen to like Germans!" She made sure to mention, perhaps for Abel's benefit. "Sheib den wal!" She said happily and squinted. "Yeah." She finished.
((Hhahaha, PUSH THE WHALE!... That's a song, by the way. And it's awesome.))

Mei squealed as Talen picked her up. She pushed him playfully and skipped in front of him, walking backwards and looking at him with a devious smile, all her teeth showing. "I do impressions really well. I've been practicing my Gabriel actually. I've gotten pretty good. When I do it you almost think I'm black." She raised her brows and spun around.
Abel looked at Leah with a slight amused look. "Well, I'm glad to hear that. As for pushing whales...that's near impossible." He looked away and slipped his hands into his jacket. The autumn breeze brushed past the group, carrying dead leaves with it. "I never liked Autumn. Everyone likes autumn, but me." He suddenly said to Leah, trying to lighten the air. "Everything dies. When fall comes you know winter is coming, and soon everything will be dormant. That's why I've always like spring. It's much prettier. Lots more colors. Maybe allergies, but I've never had trouble with that like some people." He looked up at the bleak sky.
A few moments later they had arrived at the strip of shops, all dedicated to clothes. Mei walked straight into one store. Abel followed after her and looked around, memories flooding back. This was the store he had been in the first day he had met Talen. A smile came on his face and he looked at Talen, amused. It felt so new. He felt like it was years ago, he was completely bewildered and confused, and Talen was clueless as to what he was exactly getting involved in by helping Abel.
That thought made a frown follow his smile and he quickly started to look around, examining clothes and putting them back.
Mei already had her arms full of different clothes of different styles. "Abel, let's go to the fitting room!" She exclaimed.
((Hahaha. Women.))

((MYYYY TURN... MINE... It's sooo late. I need to SLEEEP. Wtfff am I doing awaaake.))
Talen only laughed and then grinned at her remark. "Oh? You'll have to do that for me sometime." He fell in step beside her. "Does Gabriel know you can do a good Gabriel? If his face is anything like Abel's face I HAVE to see it. I'm going to MAKE YOU DO IT."
Leah frowned a little. "NOT true! You can push whales! You push them back into the OCEAN!" She blinked. "Well... I would try at least." She decided and then was quiet, listening to Talen and Mei's laughter carry back to them on the wind. She looked up when Abel suddenly spoke, watching him with an unreadable expression.
"I like fall." She informed him not too soon after. "It reminds me things can always change." And she smiled.
Once at the store Leah took off after Mei and vanished in amongst the clothes, though she'd run back every so often (panting ridiculously) and squinted at Abel before running off again. Talen walked in last, feeling extremely male. He'd never liked shopping and never would, but he remembered this shop and when Abel smiled at him, he returned the gesture in kind and laughed.
"De ja vu." He said and then blinked as Mei appeared with clothes for Abel to try already in her arms. "Holy CRAP. She's like LIGHTNING!"
Leah came running up as well, tripping and nearly falling, but righted herself with her own armful of garments. "I have some things!" She said happily, flushing with pleasure. "I mean... you don't have to... try them." She said of Abel. "I don't know you so well, but I THINK THESE WOULD LOOK REALLY GOOD!" She said excitedly and glanced at Mei's stuff. "OH!" She said and took off towards the dressing rooms.
Talen blinked after her. In a moment she came running back.
"I forgot I need you." She said to Abel, red in the face.

((HAHAHA. I imagined Leah and Mei racing each other to see who can get the best clothes. Hahaha. Uhhhhh yeah.))
Abel nodded at Talen's comment, getting the same lost feeling in his stomach that he had the last time he stepped inside the store. Before long he was bombarded by Mei and Leah, both of them talking to him. He stared at them and took a step back, hands out as if protecting himself from wild animals. "Oh...okay...umm..." He paused as Leah started babbling about how he would look really good.
"Than-" He was cut off as she ran off towards the dressing rooms. He looked at Talen helplessly. Mei was watching Leah run back with an amused expression.
"Let's not jump the gun, Leah hunny!" She laughed loudly.
Abel smiled pleasantly at Leah and scratched his head. "Yeah..." He chuckled a little and followed the two woman towards the dressing rooms. He looked behind his shoulder to Talen, making a worried face, like he was walking to his death.
Mei shoved him inside one of the rooms and pushed the clothes at him and then closed the door. "Don't come out until your dressed. In something NEW."
Abel let the clothes fall on the ground. He looked around, everything was so familiar. He slowly took off his shirt and began to get dressed in a few things he picked out from the piles of clothes. His eyes caught himself in the mirror and he frowned. On his chest was a scar that was beginning to form. He leaned in to look closer, putting a hand to it. He then noticed some others along his side and arm. Dread settled in his stomach, followed by confusion. He hadn't seen the marks in a good hundred years, pretty much since he had died.
Carefully he drew back and pulled on a shirt. After getting on some jeans he opened the door and looked at everyone, smiling nervously.
Mei walked up and examined him, pulling at the shirt a little and then stepping back. "Nice. Then again, everything will look NICE on you. Jeans look a little baggy..."
"They feel comfortable..." Abel responded, tugging them up on his hips. "I could wear a belt..."
"BELTS! BAH. Belts are for schmucks. You need properly fitting pants. Go back in."
((Hahah. I always wear a belt...D: Am I a schmuck?))

((FFFF. Good times.))
While Abel didn't seem to be enjoying himself, Talen was more than just a little amused. At his helpless expressions he only grinned and shook his head. "Abel... there are two perfectly pretty girls fighting for your attention... and yes, it's to dress you up... but I'll say it again: two pretty girls." He quirked an eyebrow. "Seriously, Abel, sometimes I wonder if it would be different if it was me and Saul instead." He joked, and followed after him, shaking his gently by the shoulder for moral support.
Once he was shoved without question into the dressing room Talen leaned against the far wall and waited. Leah was waiting rather excitedly, exchanging smiles with Mei and Talen. Talen was more laughing than excited about the whole ordeal.
"Ooooh. I can hardly stand it!" She said and skipped in a small circle, stumbled a little, and skipped again. "Ow!" She said laughing.
When Abel finally did emerge Leah grinned broadly. She of course didn't venture any closer to Abel. She actually raised her hands to show Abel she wasn't about touch him and instead look him over. "AH! I was right! He looks so good!" She frowned at Mei. "But if he's comfortable..." She put her own hands over a belt she was wearing and seemed embarrassed. Her face turned a subtle shade of pink. "Sorry." She muttered.
Talen cracked up. "I wear belts too." He said.
Leah brightened immediately. "Try on something else!" She called. "Something I picked! Please!" She added for good measure.
((hahahahaha, I HATE BELTS. I HATE THEM. But no.... that doesn't make you a schmuck :d ))

Abel looked at Leah, smiling. "Okay." He said simply and walked inside. Mei watched after him and closed the door. She glanced at Leah curiously and smirked, a brow raising. Without saying anything she looked away, leaned back and waited for Abel to change.
The process of coming out and in went on for a good thirty minutes. Every time he tried on something new Mei would tell him which ones he would keep and which he wouldn't. There were a few Abel refused to give up and a few he refused to keep, one of them being a too tight shirt that felt like an extra skin. Mei had told him it made him look threatening and strong. Abel had said he'd rather be gentle and nice looking, so people liked him.
All in all they ended up getting a good amount of clothes. Abel carried them to the counter and took a step back as Mei rummaged through her purse for her wallet.
"I'm gonna go outside while you finish." He said to Mei who nodded. He wandered to the front of the store, hands in his pockets. As he neared the windows he caught a brief flash of a face that made him stand still. His eyes widened and he quickly opened the door and got on the sidewalk, looking after one of the people who were walking. One of them had one simple dark clothing, somewhat muscular, with short cropped brown hair. The man stopped and looked over his shoulder at Abel.
Handsome green eyes stared at the angel. Abel felt his stomach drop and his breathing stop. The man smirked and walked away, disappearing into the crowd. Abel felt emotions rush through his veins and he saw the man getting further into the distance. Without a second thought he took off into a frantic dash, trying to get to the man. His mind blackened and instincts took over. All he wanted to do at that second was catch him. Nothing else mattered.
((What's gonna happen? What's happening, Abel!!!
Wheeeee. Yes. I figured this might also be a chance for just Talen to be alone with Abel...or WILL they be alone? WHO KNOWS!))

((ONE MORE BEFORE I SLEEP... Just because I haven't posted more than once all week and how terrible of me to do such a thing!
WHERE ARE YOU GOING, ABEL?! WHEEERE?!))
Talbot, by the end of it, though he was more than entertained by Leah getting excited over everything that Abel wore, was getting worn out with the whole clothes shopping routine. As he was male, that was to be expected. He wandered off in a state of boredom and returned in a dress briefly. Leah had gasped and laughed with pleasure, up until the store clerk spotted Talen and insisted he removed it. After that Talen mostly behaved himself, but the clerk never wandered far from the group just in case.
"Finally!" Talen exclaimed when Abel had picked what clothes he'd wanted. "You look very pretty. Let's blow this place."
Leah shuffled her way to the counter with Mei trying to offer to pay as well, though Talen knew that was probably not a battle worth fighting.
"No you DON'T!" Talen said of his friend as he mentioned he was going to wait outside. "You're not leaving ME in here! Not a CHANCE!" And he followed him out the door, exhaling happily at the open air. He didn't notice right away Abel getting away from him. "Oh man..." He started to say, casting his gaze sideways to look at Abel and saw nothing but his back moving quickly away.
"WOAH! HEY!" Talen cried suddenly and gave chase. "Abel!" He cried after him, figured this was useless, and focused on running to catch up.
((THERE! HE WILL FOLLOW HIM! DUN DUN DUNNN...!))

Abel didn't know where he was running, nor did he completely have it under control. He felt his legs moving but they didn't feel like his own. It was as if he were taking a step away from his movements and just watching it all happen.
He took a sudden turn down an alley. The man was standing there and Abel stopped, eyes burning brightly. His mind jerked forward and he stumbled slightly, focusing on the world before him. His eyes moved back to the man and he ground his teeth.
"Abel. Been a while." The man said with a smug face. He fished into his pants pocket.
"Hans. Shut up." Abel snapped. "Why? Just tell me why." He said angrily, voice deep and dark. "TELL ME WHY!" He screamed.
Hans laughed and pulled out a folded up piece of paper. "You're something else. You never change. Always so persistent and annoying." He sighed.
Abel swallowed heavily. Anger was rattling his muscles, making him tremble. "I trusted you. I TRUSTED YOU! I told you EVERYTHING. You're the only person who knows! TELL ME WHY YOU BETRAYED ME!" He ran towards him. Hans stepped aside and Abel grabbed air. He whirled around and tried to hit Hans but he grabbed Abel's fist and pushed back.
"Didn't Gabriel teach you anything? You can't fight like that! You've got to use your gifts. Otherwise you won't touch me." He laughed again and Abel screamed, throwing his other fist at him, which was caught. "Who would have thought you had so much anger hidden behind that innocent mask of yours?"
Abel yanked himself free, face twisting in frustration. "I hate you. I hate you. I hate you SO much."
"You're repetitive."
Hans grabbed Abel's hand and forced the folded paper in them. "Take it." Before Abel could respond, Hans vanished. Abel looked down at his hands, teeth clenched tightly together. He wanted nothing more than to tear it to shreds. Instead he turned and threw his foot hard against one of the metal dumpsters. The metal crunched under his force, the dumpster shifting from its place. He kicked it again, face twisted with anger. The dumpster groaned out as another large dent was forced into it. His fist clenched the paper so tightly that his finger nails dug into his palm.
Dropping the paper to the ground he started to let out all his emotions onto the dumpster. A hole was broken through the metal and trash fell out. His vision blurred and blackened around the edges as he threw punches and kicks wherever they landed. Not only did he not realize he was demolishing whatever was in the ally, but he didn't realize he was screaming either.
((Just a little too much for him to handle.
And man...poor dumpster. Never knew what it had coming! The jerk...sitting in an ally holding trash...GOSH.))

((POSTING. ABEL... WHAT ARE.. YOU... DOING?! ... D:... That dumpster did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO YOU. Hahhaaha, he's become so clean obsessed he's kicking dirts a**!))
Talen had caught up with Abel not too much longer after Hans vanished. Watching the angel there, raging and destructive Talen moved forward. He didn't know how many times he called the angel's name, but he was wary of the distance between them. He stood an arm lengths away, hands out.
"Abel!" He said as loudly as he could. He wasn't sure how many times he'd said his name, and he seemed to realize he might never hear him. He crouched picking up the wrinkle of paper left on the ground and grasped Abel hard by the shoulder. "Abel!" He said one last time, his voice soothing. "Listen. You need to stop." He looked at the dumpster, the cracks and holes that had appeared, the dents and the scars. "I'm sure this has got to be illegal or something."
"What's happened?" Talen wanted to know, his eyes worried. "Tell me what's happened. Don't lie to me." He searched his face. "It's Hans." He said.

((Hahahaha. Abel: "AHHH TRASH! I HATE YOU! Sitting around in alleys acting like you own the place! WELL YOU STINK!" Dumpster: "...foo' you watch who yo talkin' to!"
Okay! On to posting.))
Abel might have heard Talen yelling his name, but he didn't take note of it. It was only when Talen grabbed him hard by his shoulder that he stopped and whirled around, eyes wide. When he saw Talen he swallowed and withdrew into himself again, the anger frighteningly vanishing without a trace, except for the damaged dumpster, and the blood on his fists from himself. The fact he could put up his defenses in a split second was a bit more unsettling than the fact of what he had just been doing.
At Talen's words he was silent. Slowly he grabbed the paper from Talen's hands and turned slightly, looking down at it, still not breathing. He muttered something incoherent as he folded open the paper, fists trembling still. The paper shook with his hands, and he tried to focus on the sloppy writing, but the messiness with the trembling made it nearly impossible to read. He looked away, a flash of anger in his eyes.
He found his eyes moving back to Talen. His voice was caught in his throat and he tried to force it out, feeling as if he did it would end up in yelling and anger. Instead of talking he brought his bloody knuckles to his mouth and licked the blood away, trying to clean them off. He noticed faint scars on his arms becoming clearer after letting out his anger.
Finally a breath went in and he coughed, tasting blood in his mouth. "I don't want to talk about it. I can't..." He stopped and rubbed his lips, brows knitting together in silent pain. "I don't know." He said quietly, he threw his back against the brick wall behind him and lowered his head, staring at his hands and the paper in them. "I wanted to kill him. I REALLY wanted to hurt him...so badly...if I had been able to hurt him I felt like I would have been so much better." He seemed terrified by this idea and he put a hand to his head. "Hurting others never brought anyone true happiness...I KNOW that...and I STILL thought about it." He leaned forward and shook his head.
He lifted his head to watch Talen, looking guilty. "Somethings happening to me." He seemed to become in control of himself again and he held out his arm, showing Talen the forming scars. "They disappeared after I...I died...and...now...I don't know. I feel like whatever is happening, he has something to do with it. Like he is making it happen. I don't know. Or maybe I'm just going loony..." He laughed weakly.

((... it makes me nervous that there was a black man hiding in the dumpster D:... ABEL SHOULD BE MORE ALARMED.))
When Abel turned to face him and his anger vanished Talen went back one step. When he took the paper from his hands, he didn't stop him. He folded his arms over his chest. He waited.
He didn't say a word until Abel seemed to gather himself. Even with the mask Abel tried to use to hide rage, there were places it still escaped. It was obvious in his body language, and most obvious in his eyes. It gave everything away about the angel, just in his eyes. Talen didn't move a muscle, just watched as Abel finally looked back to him, that terrible anger in his eyes. Because his eyes were so light, Talen thought briefly of Cain, that same anger and need bright in his eyes.
Talen was silent as Abel spoke. He moved with him to the wall as he threw himself against it and leaned himself, watching him carefully. He didn't seem to react when Abel confessed he'd wanted to hurt Hans, not only that but finish him completely. He'd never seen Abel act or think in such a away, but he should have known more easily than anyone how incredibly human he was, how incredibly human even though he was supposedly to be something greater.
At the scars on his arms, Talen reached out with a hand and touched it carefully. His face having remained blank the entire time, finally became concerned. He looked Abel directly in the eyes. "You have to tell Mei." He said quietly, his eyes pleading. "It's not my place to tell her and I won't tell her if you don't want me to... but I can't help you with this, I'll be here for you, but that's not enough. I don't want anything to happen to you, Abel. You've gotta understand. I don't want ANYTHING to happen to you." He braced him by a shoulder.
"Please tell Mei."

Yes. OKAY. And shirtless guys everywhere...mmmmmm.))
Abel knew what Talen was going to say before the words came out. His eyes lowered and he breathed in, shaking his head. He knew he should tell Mei everything, what was happening, what he felt, everything, but he didn't want to. He was stubborn. Getting help from others was something he refused to do.
"Yanmei..." He said and closed his eyes. He pulled the sleeve of his jacket back over his arm. "She'll probably find out before I say anything. She has a way of nosing into people's business." He said. "And when she does, she's just going to get over dramatic. She'll try to fix everything, try to talk to me, make me tell her things that don't even matter to what's going on. She's always tried to fix me. I don't think she knows that you can never fix something that doesn't want to be fixed..." He tilted his head back, breathing in through his nose.
"If anything happens to me," he looked over to Talen, smiling at him, "it won't be any worse than what's already happened to me."

((FFFF. You caught me. I'm so racist. I hate black people. AND BROWN PEOPLE ESPECIALLY. Brown people are terrible D:<<< ... Lololololol, New Moon. lolololol. LOL.))
Talen listened to his friend carefully and when he had finished looked winded. "Abel." He said softly. "Mei just cares about you. I care about you." He might have went on, and looked like he wanted to. He looked like he wanted to physically shake Abel until he understood, but it wouldn't have made a difference. It would have just left him frustrated and Abel more withdrawn than when he had begun.
Leaning back Talen sighed in much the same fashion as Abel had not too long before. "That's a load of bull." And he laughed, closing his eyes and covering his face. "Just... listen... it'll be worse. Wanna know why it'll be worse, Abel? Because if anything happens to you I can't forgive myself. Neither could Mei... you got people here that LOVE you Abel. Alice! DAVID! James... Saul. If something happens to you, you got to understand... just LISTEN. Maybe you could handle whatever it was... but we couldn't. We wouldn't want to lose you... whatever this is that's happening to you. I gotta tell you... not a lot of things scare me... but, Abel, THIS does."
Talen turned to look at his friend. "I don't want to FIX you. There was never anything WRONG with you... but helping and fixing are different things. Mei gets carried away, I know that... but you know, it's just because she CARES so much. You hurt her, you know... this morning." He rubbed at his face.
"We just love you, Abel." He finished, pushing away from the wall. "That's all." He glanced back towards the paper in his hand. "What is that?" He asked, giving Abel an opening to change the subject if he so wanted it.

((Brown people are greasy.))
Abel continued to look up at the sky as Talen spoke. Not once did he interrupt or even look over. There was nothing he had to say to Talen anymore. He knew he would continue to say the same things to him, no matter what he said.
When Talen mentioned Mei being hurt Abel finally looked over. "She did it to herself." He muttered in a manner that made him seem childish, using a scape goat for his own misdeeds. When Talen asked what the paper was he looked down, his hands had stopped trembling.
"Hans gave it to me. I got blood on it." He said bleakly and briefly scanned it. "It's not for me." He said and folded it up. "It's for Gabriel." He turned his head away from Talen and kicked at some rubbish on the ground, brows pulling together. There was a feeling of not being good enough, down in his stomach. The one thing Hans had given him was for Gabriel. He was just the messenger.
"Can I ask you something?" He looked at his friend, eyes darkened. "When you tell me all of these things, about me being loved or whatever, and scaring you, and all those words, do you have doubts? For me, when I tell people those things I have no doubts, that way they are honest words, there's no chance it will backfire. That's why I've only told one person I loved them. I had no doubt. But I feel like people throw words around like they were nothing. They don't think about how they affect people or even if they are really what they feel."
His eyes shifted and he pulled away from the wall. "It's hard for me to take words seriously anymore. I've heard so many. And nearly all of them fall flat." His lips pulled into a strange smile and he rubbed his head, brows raised. "That's why I never tell people things about myself. I like it. I like people not really knowing anything. That way they just tell you about themselves instead. That way you know when they lie and when they falter." Again, he looked at Talen.
"What do you know about me? Besides my first name and that I'm not really a part of this world."
((He scares me sometimes...but I think this is the perfect time for him to be serious and slightly darkish.))
