Cado had assumed Hades had their channels tapped, just as he still believed their killswitches were active. He continued regardless. Sounds like something hijacked your motor controls and senses entirely....

Gabriel turned to Shae, "I don't know, I don't really like the idea of having implants stuck in my body..." he said quietly.

Nathan sat in his seat fidgeting slightly. He stayed out of all conversation. Once in his life, he was actually quiet. Nathan sighed silently. Hades spoke of upgrades. Nathan was intrigued, but decided not to speak up. He didn't work on the last mission, so he didn't desearve any. He would wait for the next offer. The merc's want upgrades. Nathan rose an eyebrow then shrugged mentally. He pulled out his GPS coordinator and began inspecting it. He found it on an old mission years before. He's been fixing it and playing with it ever since. Nathan punched in a number of random coordinates. The device lit up and beep a bit, then went silent while it searched for the destination. Nathan could hear the hum of static that was given off by the machine. His mind worked the coordinates and searched the earth itself while the machine found it. A split second before Nathan figured out the little problem, the machine spit out the destination. Tokyo, Japan. Nathan smirked to himself.
(((Hope you like it!)))

Shae nodded and murmured in reply, "I know how you feel. I don't particularly like it either. But if we're going to be able to really protect our men, and be able to complete missions, we need to be able to grow. And this is our main chance."

Hades rubbed his chin. "Is there anything else?" he demanded.
Cado heard his communicator activate. It was Hades beyond a doubt. I don't know precisely what you're talking about, but I suspect you're riddling him with questions. I can offer you a little more to this solution. While he went wild, I personally received a very, very garbled communicator message repeated over and over. It was without a doubt however a death threat. And not from Ivan.

I was just asking him what happened for him, Cado replied. Apparently, he blacked out entirely. I think someone - maybe GM- has figured out how to jack our augmentation input and output. A pause. Then, What was the threat?

Nothing clear. I don't think it worked like they wanted it to. And I don't think it's GM. I don't think it's PCA or Eurocorp or any of them. When they want to turn someone over, they need do nothing more than get a sufficiently augmented agent around and hit 'em with a Mindreacher. That doesn't do that; the person doesn't black out, they just feel an overwhelming urge to serve whoever they got Mindreached by. It beats remote controls every time, and so for agents who are completely independent, it would be a bad blow to you. The problem with that theory is that the brain... it isn't altered with that.
Perhaps you're right, perhaps they're behind this, but... it seems like there are simpler, less expensive ways to pull tricks like that. Although... it was experimental. I don't know. I'll look into it is all I know.

All right... well, good luck, Cado answered. Out loud, he asked, "Shall we leave until our next mission?"

Nathan stood. He didn't know why he stood, but he did. He kept tinkering with his little device. He walked across the carrier to another seat where a book bag sat. Nathan took out a pad of paper and a pencil and began writing down coordinates. All of them were of central points in ever major country in the world at the time. For some reason Nathan wanted to record these. For future reference.

"All of you but Ivan. Oh, and Nathan, you haven't told me what upgrade you wanted. Tell me and be off." Hades could have had a private conversation with Ivan via communicator. Why didn't he?

Nathan looked up at Hades with a sort of innocent confused look on his face. After a second he just shook his head. "Uh, I don't want one. I didn't participate on the mission so I don't want an upgrade. Sorry if it upsets you Hades." Nathan said as he picked up his belongings and left the carrier. He ran and caught up to Cado. "Cado! How've you been? I haven't talked to you in a while."

"This s**t would be driving my blood pressure through the roof if it wasn't carefully controlled by my augs," Cado replied, his voice strained with a purely mental fatigue.

Nathan chuckled nervously. "I'll take it as bad. What's the matter? What happened on that mission that was so bad?" Nathan asked curiously.
