Ryan appeared, throwing his back to a ruined wall and making sure he was unseen. A section of ceiling remained, serving as a makeshift overhang, and it was angled down to give cover from above. Checking around one corner, he saw the main body of fighting - he had managed to enter behind the enemy lines. If there could be said to be such things as enemy lines.

Checking the other corner, he didn't see anything. As in anything. No rift. No gate. Ryan pulled out his map, checking the hospital layout. "It should be right there...where the hell is it?" Ryan cursed himself. Unless he was wrong, they'd arrived too late.

Ryan's toe hit something soft, and he realized he had hit a body. A dead one. Checking the squad insignia, he noticed that it was sixth - two dead members of his own squad. Likely unseated. However, over their eyes..."Just what I needed." Crouching, Ryan took the scanners off their eyes. "Rest well, both of you. You have fought for your cause and served it. Go now, for the torch is ours to hold." Ryan would have recited the whole poem, but there was no time. Hoping Envy and Captain Nagi could see him, he gave a nod and a quick thumbs-up - all clear, get over here now. Not like he saw any other adequate cover. They'd need to hold a small conference, though, and figure out what to do. Laying the map down and using the two dead bodies as a makeshift table, Ryan sat down on a neatly placed piece of rubble that would serve as a makeshift seat. Hopefully they could get something done about this.

Tansen only just managed to react in time and blocked Rose's attack with his sword, only to watch in horror as his senses were taken from him and she dissapeared from sight. "No! Come back!" It was too late. The dome was lifted and Tansens senses came back, but Rose was no where to be seen. No...I lost her...I lost her again... The blade dropped from his hands and the young captain slammed his fists down on the ground in frusteration. "DAMMIT!"

As they had entered the building, Nagi's blue eyes continued to dart this way and that, keeping an eye out for any hidden enemies. The moment they set foot here, there was this sudden odd feeling that was difficult to shake. With its eerie lighting and familiar smell, the appearance of the run down place sent chills down his spine. It didn't take Nagi too long to realize that they were in an old hospital. Though he didn't look nervous, a cold seat began to accumulate along his hairline as the sick, haunted feeling continued to seep in. For as long as Nagi could remember, he had always felt this way whenever he entered a medical ward. He just hated them.

"We're too late?" he asked, suddenly curious as to what could have happened. Though he was a bit distracted by their location, he did notice that there weren't so many fluctuating spirit energies within the area. It was as if most of the fighting had stopped. Many inquisitive thoughts began crossing Nagi's mind at that point. Was the fight over and were Yuki and Onalim finally safe? It would have been great if Yuki were okay... but what about Hogosha? Was he still alive or did someone take him out? There was no way to know for sure at that point. Nagi was still trusting his gut feeling and that was the best option was still to move forward.

Even though he was trying his best not to let all this get to him, he stopped dead in his tracks as he caught sight of the two dead shinigami before them. There were many things that Nagi did not like to see- obviously hospitals being one of them. Seeing dead people was another. It just stirred up more emotions and memories that he didn't wish to feel or remember. He didn't move as Ryan began to lay out the map over top of them but merely shuttered at the thought of even going near them let alone touching them.

"There has to be something we can do..." he finally said thoughtfully as he leaned himself against the wall.

(( Okay, clarification, my exit post was actually supposed to have happened back on page...OMG, I think it was page 18 but I forgot to mention that. For some reason I couldn't post my exit back on page 18 so I had to wait until I could post, but since Tosen decided to include me and I didn't get a chance to reply, I'll pretend I was kneed in the ribs and now he's gone. ))

:Suri grimaced, wrapping her free hand around her ribs. It had not been especially powerful. Since Tosen had grabbed her wrist, she had managed to sense him enough to evade it slightly. However, she knew it would be bruised. A rib might have internally fractured, but it would not hinder her unless she put more pressure on it anytime soon.

Baring her teeth in a feral snarl, Suri opened her senses, feeling flickers of reiatsu, one of them somewhat familiar. It was Captain Ryan, whom she had interacted with on several occasions, although never too closely with. Except Tagg's wedding... Suri had to bite her lip at the thought and concentrate to keep herself from flushing with embarrassment.

"Frost over and be still, touketsu~shin," Suri whispered, having her katana turn into a crystal clear broadsword briefly. She pressed it to her ribcage to stop the swelling and to give structure so that she could walk normally without her rib giving in. Ice formed quickly under her uniform, create a sort of body brace bodice, before Suri sealed her zanpaku~to again. There was no point wasting reiatsu on an unneeded shikai.

Standing up straight, Suri walked with her usual grace over to Captain Ryan who sat on a rubble pile, awaiting someone or something. He was in an unobtrusive area - exactly where she wanted to be. She would have to give chase to the quincy after talking to Captain Ryan. That guy probably expected some answers from her.

"Hello Captain Ryan, Captain Nagi," Suri inclined her head towards them to indicate their superior positions. Although it was not as respectful as she would usually have been, she did not find it prudent to try to bend and possibly spread the fractures in her rib. "Captain Ryan, I would like to I apologize. My memories of the day are fuzzy so I do not know if I thanked you properly at Captain Tagg and Captain Bull's wedding. If not, I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to you for helping to protect me when I was rendered useless in the situation. I apologize for my lack of strength and promise to perform my duties better next time.":

(( Edited to include Captain Nagi. ))

Tansen finally managed to get a grip on himself and grabbed Tsumari-Renkin off the ground. He had a pained expression on his face but sheathed the blade without a word. he was about to turn and head back to his mansion when he sensed something, three familliar reiatsu's. This is...Feldric-san? And Nagi-Sensei? Suri too...i better see what's going on. Without another thought, Tansen quickly shunpo'd to where the three were and walked over to them, deciding not to inquire about the two dead shinigami and the ground. "Feldric-san, Suri, Sensei, what are you three doing here?" The painful look was still in the young shinigami's eyes as he adressed his comrades.

Envy poked her head around the wall, she had fallen a bit behind but only by a second or two, she saw the two captains that she followed here so she felt certain that she did not get lost for a change. But she also saw Tansen ansd Suri which was kinda surprising. She glanced around the strange room and her eye twitched when she saw the dead bodies but being a medic she was sorta used to it.

As her eyes were turning a dark green she walked into the room and stood near enough to the bodies that she could see the map that ryan had laid out but still far enough away so she couldn't smell the dead bodies. She wasn't sure if they were beginning to rot yet but she didn't want to poke at them to see either.

Ryan looked up and noted Tansen and Suri's arrival. "Hello, Tansen, Suri. I wasn't expecting to see you two here, but anyway, I guess you two should know what Captain Nagi, Envy and myself are doing..."

Ryan felt the ground next to him and his hand touched a pen - probably had fallen as the hospital collapsed. Pulling it up, he cleaned it on his uniform then shook it, holding it with the tip straight down, before he circled the rift. "That rift is supposed to be over there." He pointed off to where the rift should have been, and now was not. "We were supposed to be entering it to infiltrate Hueco Mundo. Now, though, the rift is gone. Either my map's off, or it's been closed." He looked up at Tansen and Suri. "Do either of you know what happened? You've both been here, so I assume you would know."

Realizing a bit belatedly that Suri had thanked him, he added: "It's not a problem. I myself failed slightly in my duty at the wedding in not protecting Tagg. Leave it aside for now, though - time is of the essence for us."

Nagi's eyes slightly widened as Suri and Tansen had approached them. He had been so distracted by what was going on around them that he didn't feel their presence in the area at all. Through past information, hek new that they were around, but didn't expect them to be so close.

Though it was expected of Tansen to show up, Suri was perhaps the last person Nagi wished to run into at this crucial moment but now that she was there, he had no choice but to let her be filled in. He had planned on leaving without his division knowing what he was about to do. Surly if they all found out about it, they'd either worry or want to come along with him. The idea of it gave Nagi the pride of knowing that his division members were dedicated and brave. However, even after he was reassured countless times, Nagi still blamed the return of Hogo on himself. After what happened with Onalim and Yuki, losing a squad member or more was the last thing he wanted on his conscience.

With that, a new guilt settled in as his eyes wandered back to the floor. He trusted Suri with his life and yet he failed to let her in on this. Not really knowing how she must have felt about that, he didn't really know what to say but he was ready to take any scolding or words of anger toward him at any time- considering he felt that he well deserved it.

After escaping the eyes of his enemies, Torrik had made his way across the building in no time flat. Since he didn't have the time to stop and pick pointless fights with their enemy, he continued on his course as if there were nothing else happening around him. His mission was the only thing that mattered to him at the time. After its objective was completed, he'd be able to do whatever the hell he wanted to. The faster it was done, the better. His instructions were simple though they made little sense to him. Before he came to this place, a specific riatsu sample was dangled before him as if he were some kind of lame tracking hound. Despite his irritation of this, he complied to it anyway, considering it sounded somewhat interesting. Though he was curious as to how this would turn out, he only had one chance to get this right. If he blew it, then it was all over... possibly for him. Torrik didn't quite feel like dying just yet.

With the certain riatsu signature locked on, the third espada raced along his course, hoping to find the quickest and easiest route to the location. It wasn't too long that he found himself inside an empty examination room where he could clearly hear voices coming from a wall. Leaping up onto a rickety examination table, he pressed his ear against the wall, listening in on the conversation. The riatsu he sampled earlier was right on the other side as well. Glad that he finally came upon his objective, Torrik wasn't going to waste any time.

The next few seconds was a complete blur. Being the fastest of the espada, Torrik was not going to be modest to the title. As quick as his feet could carry him, he darted out of the room, around the corner, and into the occupied space where five high ranked shinigami stood. Appearing behind the man with the white hooded coat, Torrik reached out and with his long talon-like claws, ripped open a black hole that turned out to be larger than he anticipated. Figuring it was due to the adrenaline rush, Torrik's rift was easily large enough for a sumo to walk through but he didn't have a single second to worry about it. Before the shinigami could react, he appeared to the front of them with his hand already raised- his palm aimed in the direction of his enemies. An orange ball of light was already brightly pulsing against his hand.

His brown eyes seemed to convey a taunting stare as a slight grin appeared on his usual nonchalant face. He raised his other hand and slightly waved as though he were bidding them "good day" as the orange bala beam suddenly burst fourth. This attack wasn't as strong as it usually would have been for there was no real intent to injure. He merely meant it as a nice "shove" in the right direction. Unfortunately, the blast was still as wide as it usually was. Instead of prodding one shinigami backward, he instead managed to get three (Nagi, Ryan and Envy). Well... In Torrik's usual mindset, this was basically just two extra points for his side. On top of that, this action was just plain fun. It wasn't every day you could push someone into a black hole against their will. He honestly didn't care if the other two weren't on his hit list. As long as the one with the black hair and the hood was taken care of, he didn't care who else went with him. The new boss would most likely take them out too.

Calmly watching as the three shinigami disappeared through the rift, Torrik waited until they were out of sight before he allowed it to close. Once that had been taken care of, he was now finally free to do whatever he wanted to do. The grin hadn't faded from his face as he turned to face the other two, waiting for them to respond in the usual way.

Oh well... looks like I get to fight these two before I get to go eat something...

In his utter daze and confusion, Nagi didn't have a single clue as to what was happening until it was too late. As the blast hit him square in the chest, he erected a barrier surrounding him and the two beside him so that they wouldn't sustain any injury to this but it was the least he could do in such a short amount of time. As if the world were in slow motion for just that instant, he managed to glance at Suri with sad, guilty eyes and say the words "I'm sorry" as he disappeared into the darkness.

Rhia had been planning to leave. From what she could discern, the fighting was over. There were a few blips in her senses that alerted her to the presence of several low-level hollows, but the number of shinigami in the area clearly outnumbered them, and she didn't bother assisting with what she knew would be an easy fight for any shinigami, seated or not.

She scuffed up a patch of dust as she turned on her heel, intent on wandering in the general direction that she could sense Feiy's spiritual pressue--which, for some reason was getting a bit agitated-- when she felt a new presence. Several new ones, actually, many of which she could easily recognize. Nagi, Ryan, Envy, Suri, and Tansen. They had gathered in one of the levels of the crumbling hospital. To what end, she wasn't sure, nor did it concern her...

Her eyes flickered up to the room in the hospital in which they all stood. Another presence had joined them. Not so recognizable and not so friendly. She knew the feel of an espada-- one she'd never had contact with, but she couldn't be mistaken.

In the next minute, the espada's signature blurred, a rift opened, and three of the five shinigami were shoved through the opening. Muscles tightening in rage, Rhia performed a shunpo that brought her into the hospital ruins, adjacent the room the rift had appeared and abruptly vanished.

Her first instinct was to attack the espada--he was easily outnumbered and Suri and Tansen were no weaklings. But he was quick. Quicker than she, the Captain of Second Squad? She was strangely eager to find out, a competitive edge creeping into her thoughts.

But she would wait, first. And watch. Her spiritual pressure dimmed down, undetectable to all but the most sensitive.

(( I'm fine with it. Btw Rhia, I don't have a T in my name, it's just Suri ^^;; ))

:The espada's appearance had not been wholly expected. Suri had thought that many of the hollows and such had left with Gin and Tosen. However, she was not off-guard. It would have been strategically stupid of her to think that Gin and Tosen were the only front that Las Noches was fielding. Besides that, the espada were almost a rule unto themselves. If they wanted to have a bit more fun and pick at Captain level shinigami, Suri had no doubt that they would have stayed around. It did deal a certain blow to her that Captain Nagi, Captain Ryan, and Vice-Captain Envy had been caught so fast. It made her a bit uneasy at the speed of the espada, but before the espada could blink back at her and Captain Tansen, Suri had whipped her zanpaku~to into an offensive position.

A strong reiatsu flickered into Suri's senses, and she chanced a peripheral glance to see Captain Rhia join in. That calmed her nerves a bit. Suri was still a fairly inexperienced Lieutenant, so it made her feel safer with two Captains near-by. Even if they had not been there, Suri would have taken the initiative to try to beat the espada, but at least now her inexperience did not put Captain Nagi, Captain Ryan, and Vice-Captain Envy at risk so much.

With a steel eyed glance, Suri took a step forward with her left foot before pushing off on it so that she came flying at the espada, a bit low. Her right foot swung forward an in attempt to connect with the espada's left knee-cap as she flicked her zanpaku~to from her right to her left hand and took a wide swing, sweeping the blade from the ground in an upward arc. The movement was quick, leaving a blurring after-image from the light that her white blade reflected. If it landed properly, she would be able to follow through the motion from the espada's right hip to the spine, and then clean up through the middle of the skull.:
